We used PestNow in our old home in Reston to eradicate and control an ant problem. We were happy with their services so started again with their quarterly pest control services here at our new residence. They come out once a quarter for $85 using an automated scheduling system that emails me a date of service about a month in advance. If I don't need inside lest treatment, I don't need to be home which is very convenient. I am rarely home or outside when the service is performed so I can't vouch for PestNow doing the treatment exactly as they say they do it, but since we do not have any type of bug problem inside the house I have to assume they do what they say they do. The company is great about coming out promptly and at no additional charge if we find any kind of interior or exterior bug issues we want them to address. The services technicians have always been very professional. I plan to continue with our annual contract.

The persoon got to my place on the agreed time. Did an assessment of the situation at our place and took all the Actions needed. I have not seen mice since. Ants are still a problem but their work it's guaranteed and I will give them a call to come back and take care of that

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It worked out very well and we are very happy with it. They were very prompt and courteous. They got the job done quickly and they were very flexible with our schedule. They were very professional in everything they did. We would recommend them. There was nothing we were disappointed in. There was a standard price for the termite treatment and they gave us the agent price. We would absolutely use them again.

Such an incredibly professional, courteous and good experience. We had never had to contract a pest maintenance place before...this was our first home, and this couldn't have been a better one. We were seeing bugs inside the house - ants, beetles and then the scary ones like a centipede (we were concerned as those bite and we have a toddler). They arrive on schedule within a pre-arranged 2 hour window of time. They patiently answer any questions in the first session and take as long as you need to feel comfortable. Once we went on a maintenance schedule, they just need 5 minutes of direction to tell them what kind of bugs you are seeing and where. They wear booties on their shoes in your home, are quiet and discreet (I work from home and am on conference calls all day, so I appreciate this), and finish quickly. We haven't had any bugs show up...except around the 2-3rd month after a visit, just in time for a maintenance check. They can easily come earlier or later than on schedule. They have a guarantee for the one year contract...so they come as often as you need. We think this is very reasonable as we both hate to kill bugs and think $300/year is totally worth it.

Called around to check prices for a termite inspection required for home sale. Pest Now had the best price. They were quick, but thorough and it comes with a 1-yr guarantee.

Pest Now was confusing, and not very well coordinated. First I called asking for an inspection. I ended up using my apartment building's inspector, who confirmed bed bugs. I had a heat treatment done on my unit which was not entirely successful (a few bugs clearly survived and kept biting me), so I went ahead and had Pest Now do the chemical treatments. The only instructions the person on the phone told me was to bag EVERYTHING. When the PCO showed up to treat my unit for the first time, he was professional and courteous. He let me know the cats needed to be removed from the apartment and I also had to stay out of the apartment for 4 hours, which had not been explained to me on the phone. He also let me know that I only had needed to remove the items at the bottom of my closet, not bag everything. Clothing also needed to be heated before being bagged, which luckily I happened to do the day before based on my building's recommendation. Needless to say this made me a bit angry-- had I been told ahead of time what the proper steps were I would have taken them, and arranged for my cats to be boarded at the vets office. I was also told there was no warranty--3 treatments and that was it. After the first treatment I found a few dead bugs who had survived treatment, bitten me, and then died, and a live healthy looking one. At my request, Pest Now also inspected the units neighboring mine at no charge. Second treatment 2 weeks later--the PCO tells me there is in fact a 90 day warranty-- if I catch a live bed bug after the 3rd treatment they'll come back and treat the unit again if it's within 90 days of the start of treatment. A week after the second treatment I found one live nymph bed bug. Third treatment went well, and afterwords I never found another live bed bug. It's been over a year since treatment, and the bugs haven't come back, so I'm happy about that. If you use Pest Now for bed bugs, ask them alot of questions about how to prepare. I was told the people who do the inspections and the treatments are on separate teams, and don't necessarily coordinate or share information, hence the breakdown on them not telling me how to prepare my unit.

My wife and I ordered a year-round pest control package to address a large German cockroach infestation discovered upon moving into our new house. Treatments included liquid sprays, powder dusting, and application of bait. PROS: 1. Treatment was effective. Overall, the treatment has significantly reduced cockroach population. When we first ordered the service we were finding roaches in every room of the house, usually seeing multiple roaches a day and at all hours. Since the initial inspection and treatment in October of last year, we have seen a gradual decline in population to the point where we now go weeks without a sighting. 2. Company was responsive to our requests. Though the package we ordered included only four treatments (an initial inspection/ treatment followed by three quarterly treatments) PestNow sent technicians multiple additional times, free-of-charge, to address new outbreaks when they occurred until the infestation began to subside. 3. Excellent phone support. PestNow provided phone support when I had questions about additional steps I could take to fight the infestation. Technicians on the phone walked me through the best way to seal potential access points and what store-bought pesticides I could use that would best compliment their treatments. CONS 1. Our assigned technician. Our assigned technician consistently arrived towards the end of, or after, the scheduled appointment window. During appointments he seemed less interested in doing a thorough treatment than getting done as quickly as possible. By contrast, we had a replacement technician service the property one time when our assigned technician was on vacation. This replacement spent almost twice as much time making sure all of the problem areas were well treated. He also provided additional treatments at no extra cost to wall voids and pipe chases our regular technician never even considered. Needless to say, this treatment also coincided with the most significant drop in roach sightings. At the next (and most-recent) quarterly appointment with our original, assigned technician, I had to argue with him to get him to do the minimum spray application. He also argued with me about doing the additional treatments the replacement technician had performed. In the end, our technician did only a partial application of the spray treatment and none of the additional treatments the replacement had provided. When I tried to request the replacement technician for a follow-up, I was told our house is in our assigned technician's "territory" and thus I could not request an alternate except when our assigned technician was unavailable. CONCLUSION: As a whole, PestNow seems to be a responsive, effective, and reasonably priced pest control company. However, we found the service our assigned technician provided to be sub-par. Because of this, and the fact we cannot request an alternate, we have decided to no longer use PestNow's services.

After first noticing a problem with mice (never seeing one but finding their droppings), I set live-catch traps and released the trapped mice into a nearby park. However, the mice soon learned to avoid the traps, judging from evidence, their number swiftly increased. Droppings were found in our food pantry and on our kitchen counter. At first I tried a sonic pest repeller contraption bought online, but the mice left pellets all around it as if in defiance. It was time to get tough. I noticed a special offer through Angie's List for PestNow LLC, which I purchased. It was easy to schedule a visit, and their representative, Arnold, arrived within the stated time frame. Arnold set a total of seven bait stations, five indoors and two outdoors, and plugged up various holes - such as one behind our oven - with mesh to prevent further entry. We then set an appointment with Arnold for two weeks later, and, once again, he arrived within the stated time. This time he checked the bait stations to see if their contents had been eaten. They had. He replaced the bait and we scheduled a third visit in two weeks. When checking the bait stations on the third visit, Arnold saw that the bait had not been touched. This coincided with the fact that we had seen NO droppings or any evidence of mice in the previous two weeks. Arnold informed us that PestNow LLC will contact us in three months for a follow-up. All three visits were covered under the initial price we paid for the Angie's List special. In closing, I'd like to add that we are thoroughly satisfied with the work performed by PestNow, and with their employee Arnold. He is a professional who will take the time to explain the methodology he uses to rid your house of unwanted pests.

I was able to get an appointment very quickly. We saw a reduction in the ant problem we had but it did not go away 100%. They let me know that ahead of time. I am experiencing a slight difficulty with them since they keep emailing me a bill I owe them. We are currently working that out.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out fine and everything went great. The guy sprayed around, finished it and left. He was efficient and did everything right. I didn't pay anything extra.

Contractor did a good job and this deal was a good value. My only complaint is that you have to ask them to spray inside. I paid for the service and felt I shouldn't have to flag the guy down every time they sprayed to come inside and spray too.

Outstanding service at a very competitive cost. Provider came on time, listened to problem, and explained the solution. He then quickly got to work, wore shoe covers inside, and took care not to spray anything sensitive (eg our herbs). He was very professional and responded to our questions clearly and definitively. We would not hesitate to recommend this company.

They did the house inspectiion and then conducted the first spray! They were awesome on the timing, profesionalism! I would definately use PestNow again!

Sprayed chemical around the house and once inside. Not sure if it made any difference. The person is supposed to ring the door bell to see if indoor spraying is required and provide me a receipt. He didn't do this on the third appointment and there was no evidence that the person even performed the service. My entire family was home at the time and nobody saw anyone walking around the house or heard the doorbell or a knock. Didn't renew contract when it was up. May find a different provider.

They've come out for their first visit. It was great, it went fine. It worked very well.
