If you are reading this review and have bed bugs, sorry for your infestation. It is a terrible thing to have to go through and it can be emotional traumatizing. The forums on bedbugger.com can be a great support system. That being said, PestNow is a great pest control company. When I first suspected a problem, they sent someone over the next day for a free inspection and did find bed bugs (this is back in July). Their price is about average, maybe a little bit below. They are a small local business which also makes them great. They were very flexible in scheduling appointments and very patient with my calls. The bed bugs are gone, but they have done follow up free inspections to appease my paranoia. They are very well organized and communicate any issues that come up. I have a cockroach infestation that they have been treating as well. You cannot go wrong with Pest Now.

They were very thorough and professional, even made a few follow-up trips given some mouse activity, including once with same-day notice. Very positive experience so far.

Service provider showed up 4 or 5 hours late. To his credit, he kept in touch regarding his lack of punctuality. I hired this service because I wanted them to plug up holes in addition to doing baits. Provider said hole behind stove would need to be cloed before he could do any baiting. Tenant did not want roach spraying because it had been done recently before. So basically nothing done in the house.... that was the last I heard from them. No attempt to schedule quarterly service or to followup. Angies List customer service contacted me TWICE to survey me about my experience with this particular company. On the second occasion, I took time to explain the situation and customer service rep said she would check in with the company and get back to me. Never heard from them again either. Tenants called tonight reporting to see another mouse == hoping Pest Control Now will honor this agreement and at least give me the yearly service I paid for more than 6 months ago. (I had to pay another contractor to plug up the drywall holes too).

Great. Pest Now is very fast in appointment set up, and can usually fit you in within one day. They are very professional, and take time to do a full review and take all needed actions. In fact, they discovered that the condo management company's vendor, American Pest has placed dangerous poison in the open, and removed all of that as part of the service. The offered package service here on Angie's List has a 90 day "Guarantee", which basically means they will do follow up vistsis as part of the package. I already have had one where they replaced the poison in the bait stations and offered suggestions for work outside their scope to help (getting the management company to do some maintenance work to block potential entry points, etc..).. They will be back out for another follow up next week. And obviously, the most important point, we have not seen any sign of mouse activity outside of poison bait eating since they have done their first visit. We'll see if that has ended as well next week. I cannot more highly recommend them.

Both men that were sent out to spray did a great job! They were very professional, they knew exactly what they were doing. They answered every question we had. They set up bait after they sprayed, both visits. They stopped by without us knowing yesturday which was not a problem for me. And the gentlemen that stopped by set up more bait for the roaches. Since the last visit maybe a little more then a month ago, I have maybe seen one or two roaches. Whatever it is that they are using works! We are very satisfied with their service.

The technicians were friendly and professional but ultimately the work was ineffective. They were quick to use poison, which didn't seem to work. My own mouse traps were much more effective. I wouldn't use the service again.

It was fantastic. The technician was knowledgeable and very personable. I can not say enough good things about this experience. They even expedited my appointment. If every vendor was as good as this I would be a happy camper :)

Call Center Inspector: Fitz; Serviceman/ Inspector:Terry. Terry was on time and very helpful. He listened patiently to my concern and answered all my questions before recommending and initiating treatment. Satisfied on this initial visit and will request for him in the future.

It turned out okay. It was pretty average. It was pretty much right in the middle. It took a little bit to get them out there more than once to do a follow up and that was a little irritating so other than that, it was kind of average. The issue was with the first treatment was to go ahead and deal with the problem that we had inside the house. Talking with them they said we need multiple follow up treatments and so at that point I said we will have to schedule. They said they have to wait for somebody to call them. It was a rental property so I wanted to go ahead and schedule the next appointment and asked how often they space them out. They said after a month so I said we go ahead and schedule then we'll get them back out there, and they said okay. It wasn't very proactive and they did what they needed to do, but that was about it. The price was okay. It was pretty much average. So far it seemed like they did what they were supposed to do but nothing out of the ordinary. It took a little bit to actually get them to do what they needed to do. I didn't have complaints from the renter about their punctuality. It seemed like they worked professionally.

It went great. They showed up on time, were incredibly professional and helpful explaining the extermination plan.

Got complaint from renters about centipedes. Never had centipedes before. Called exterminator on Thursday and t was very appreciative that they came out on Saturday morning. A different exterminator from Angie's came out a month before for the centipede problem (for $100 one-time treatment), but the problem recurred. This $340 coupon deal involves a year contract, so I hope it works this time, so quality is N/A for I don't know until a year from now (the year contract includes quarterly applications + any interim calls needed). Overall -- terrific! This is the 2nd time I used PestNow. Nick returned and checked all bait boxes on the exterior of the home and restocked the bait (I back to woods and small field mice have eaten the bait). He came inside the house (after he insisted he put on his shoe covers -- very nice) and checked the bait located in my basement and attic -- not a nibble (yay). Afterwards, he sprayed the foundation again for bugs. All in all very professional! He provided a great deal of assurances to me, including the recommendation that I schedule him to visit in about 45 days (1/2 way through the guaranteed quarter that the $89 paid for) to check the status of the bait traps and any other concerns. Ive never used a pest service before -- always sprayed or placed mousetraps myself. But at $89/quarter, I've been pleased and will contact them again!

I've never used a pest control company before. But I had caught a few small field mice in my basement and couldn't determine where they were coming from. I called PestNow based on their Angie's List ratings/reviews, and when I spoke with their office and was assured no major contract was required, I scheduled an appointment. (I had found many companies want a year-long contract; PestNow will visit quarterly if I want them to.) Nick arrived and was very pleasant, explaining all that he would do for the initial walk through and price of $145. He placed mice bait boxes outside the home, in the garage, and in the basement (the only place I've caught mice). He explained since I back to the woods, and the neighbors were doing major renovations to their gardens/trees/etc, it would not be unusual to see a mouse or two even though the weather was still warm. Nick also sprayed around the foundation of the home (5' out, 2'-3' up the bottom of the house) for bugs. He also provided several assurances that I could call him at anytime during the guaranteed quarter that I had paid for. He did return once more upon his recommendation to check the bait just to ensure there wasn't an infestation issue (there wasn't). All in all, Nick was extremely pleasant and professional (he obviously loves his job) and I would recommend PestNow to anyone!

See above. We worked with Henry from PestNow, who visited our home four times over the course of three months. During the first visit he set bait traps around the house in spots where mice might be. He also plugged up a hole where freon lines enter our home from the A/C unit, as he suspected that's where the mice we'd seen might be coming in. On subsequent visits, he checked all the bait traps, refilled any that had been "visited" by mice and looked for new entry holes form outside to plug. In all, he stopped up 4 potential entry spots. By the time our three-month deal finished up, we hadn't seen a mouse (or evidence of a mouse) in weeks, and none of the traps had been visited between the last two visits. Henry was a delight to work with. I would call PestNow and Henry again if mice, or other unwanted critters, reappear in our home.

It went well, there is a 90 day guarantee on the work done so I am hoping that the mice don't show up anymore.

Jason called to let me know that he was in the area so he actually got to our house early, which was great. It didn't take long for him to spray the inside and out, and he pointed out some things as well. He explained that we can get the interior sprayed anytime we wanted when they come back, but in general, the quarterly sprays after the initial will be for the outside. We don't have any significant bug problems, so I'm assuming the outside sprays will be enough. But I know that we have the option to have them spray inside when we need it. We have a basement, so I think this preventive bug treatment will be very well worth the money!

I bought the $185 Rodent package/coupon off Angies list. On the first visit in July a technician came out found a few spots in the exterior brick and stuffed with copper mesh wire. He also placed some poison bait traps behind the stove, between the basement ceiling and 1st floor, and stuff copper mesh into some areas where the plumbing is under the sink. It did nothing to abate the problem as I was till finding mice dropping all over the first floor of my home. ISo I called them out again. They sent the same tech. I identified holes in behind cabinets and under the sink where the water line runs into the dishwasher where he had missed. He stuffed them with copper mesh wire again. He left. That same night we spotted a mouse running in the kitchen. We set snap traps and killed the mouse ourselves. A few weeks later we saw mouse dropping again. I called Pest Now again and asked for a tech. I had to call 3-4 times just to get a supervisor to call me back! This time they sent a more experienced tech. This technician popped a baseboard under my kitchen counter that I didn't even know existed and placed some more bait traps. He checked the bait traps behind the stove and said they had been eaten. So that clearly was the point of entry. He said Pest Now could not seal the area behind the stove. Therefore, all this company was interested in was coming quarterly and me paying for a maintenance plan that doesn't even get rid of the mouse problem. I ended up hiring an awesome handyman to move the stove and patch the drywall where the mice where entering. He also moved the refrigerator and dishwasher to ensure there were no plumbing areas that mice could enter. My advice - save yourself money. Find the points of entry yourself. You don't have to be a specialist to do this. Move your appliances and find out where there are any areas that are 1/4" or greater and patch them the copper wire mesh, which you can buy from Amazon or just buy really rough steel wool from a hardware store. If you have a bigger job like mine hire a handyman who can install drywall where needed to keep the critters out. In fairness to this company they did come out 4 times to set bait traps but this will never solve your problem.

They baited some stations with effective poison and killed all the rats.

The service provider arrived on time and was polite. He walked around the house, put a few rat homes on the exterior of the house and set a few traps in the basement. He was unable to tell us where the rodents were entering and did not provide any additional information about getting rid of the problem. This was a lot of money to set traps and tell us to keep food away and locked (all things we had already done)- we were hoping that we could put an end to this disgusting problem but unfortunately this did not help. Wishing it was described better in the advertisement... $185 is a lot of money for setting traps. There was no additional knowledge gained.
