The walk through estimate was 4 hours. The actual move took over 8. Nearly 4 hours was used to take apart and "try" to reassemble a loft bed. This bed was clearly identified in the walk through. I ended up finishing the bed assembly the day after the move. I spent $400 moving a $600 bed only to complete the assembly myself. The movers were friendly and hard working, just not up for this piece of furniture. The estimate was far off the mark and made for a bad experience. I emailed the company to voice my frustration. I never got a response.

crew showed up on time, brought one extra guy and it was explained in a way that in doing so, he would be tipped at the end for helping. The crew had a lead guy who kept everything moving at a good pace. I was extremely pleased with the effort and amazing care they took moving extremely heavy awkward furniture at both ends of the move. I don't think there was any damage to the furniture, hard wood floors, hard wood stairs or walls--again, while moving very heavy, large furniture. Couldn't have been happier with the actual crew. The difficulty came when I realized after we had paid the final balance and they had left the house that we had been overcharged on the statement--and not by much, but we were told everything was included. When I talked to Kenny about it,he said it would be refunded. 4 months of emails, promises to have it sent out, an email saying he would bring it by the house, etc and it never happened. I waited to write this review hoping he would quit blowing smoke and follow thru because the crew did a good job, but I can't recommend a company that says they will do something and given plenty of time and reminders can't follow through on something as simple as a refund.

We called for an estimate, Terry, one of the "guys" came out to estimate. It was fast, and he gave us an estimate in about 20 minutes after looking through the house. This was our second move in two years, and we'd used Two Guys before. After talking with Terry, understood they are now under new management, and changing the name from Two Guys and a Truck to My Guys as they expand into more corporate jobs and other markets. The estimate from My Guys was lower than the other two we'd gotten, and they gave us a pack of boxes for free which we needed. They also offered that we could take any used boxes in their warehouse for free, but with fewer people moving in the winter, there were none to be had for several weeks in a row. We bought them from usedboxes.com and freecycle loudoun instead. On moving day the crew showed up with two trucks. There were six guys in the crew, led by Carlos. Terry had promised me the best crew, and they were a very good crew. We went through the house with all the guys, named the rooms, they prioritized the work and got to it. My only suggestion would be that the crew seemed to kind of exclaim a lot as we'd go into each new room, ask if each big piece was going to go, then sort of sigh, as if they hadn't expected to find a house full of furniture to move. It didn't affect the move, or their attitude otherwise, and the move went great, but it was kind of disconcerting to have them kind of acting like they were surprised right off the bat. This was from the workers, not from Carlos. The move went faster than I'd suspected. They got most of the packed stuff and large furniture out very quickly. They wrapped all the pieces well, and nothing was seriously damaged or broken on the move. We got packed out in about 6 hours, moved to the new house and unloaded. We bought lunch for the crew just before the move, and had drinks available for them all day. At the new house, which was a little bigger, the unload went even more quickly. We got all done just before dark. Then Carlos came in through the house and made sure all the things they'd brought in were in the right places, accessible and set up right. They did some last minute moves, and then took off. All in all it was a great move and we are happy to be in the new place. We'd definitely use them again. It was nice to get the free boxes, and we were able to also go get garment boxes at the warehouse in Sterling ahead of time, that they took away with them when they left.

Great experience over all. They came to give us an estimate and did a detailed rundown of what our cost would be. on move day they were punctual and worked non-stop not taking any breaks and we came in 2 hours under estimate. Would definitely recommend them. One little issue - they offered an Angies list coupon for 5 wardrobe boxes for the day of move. They ended up honoring it for us, but there was a moment when he looked at the coupon and said that he could not honor it because we were already getting a low winter rate and we had already been given a moving kit (which was included in the quote the estimator gave us the day he came out to give us an estimate). We were about to argue, when I think he realized it wasn't worth losing customers over wardrobe boxes and brought them out to us...but just wanted to point out that if the Angie's list offer is contingent on price or time of year, it should be clearly stated in the offer.

We hired "My Guys" to move to our new house. They were outstanding and so incredibly efficient. We had 6 movers and all of them were friendly and personable. Nothing was lost or damaged. We couldn't be more pleased.

It was a horrible experience! Their management was unprofessional and unresponsive. They came out to do the estimate a few weeks before my moving date. I told them that my desired moving date was July second or third. The estimator acknowledged and said he would email me when he returned to the office. I received the written quote and responded to him that I needed it to be on the second or the third. He said that wouldn't be a problem. As my moving date was getting close and I still hadn't confirmed the exact time I tried calling and had to leave several messages. When I finally talked with him on the phone, he said he could get me in a week later. explained that I had already taken time off from work and I needed my moving date to be on the third like we agreed to. He said it wouldn't be a problem and that he would put me in the afternoon as I was just a small job. He stated that my start time would be between 1 and 5. When I questions the late hour of the start time he told me not to worry and that the job that morning with small and they would likely be calling me as early as 11. I had already taken 6 car loads from my apartment to my new home in anticipation of the move....this is 6 car loads less than they had estimated. I have everything boxed up on the day of the move and around 2 o'clock started getting nervous so I moved everything that I physically could aside from my bedroom set and a few fitness items up to the corner of the driveway to make it easier for them as I was in a downstairs apartment and the save them from having to walk around back. I finally called the moving service at 4:15 to see where the truck was. He said he would check on it and have them give me a call. The driver called to tell me it would be in about an hour so I called the company back to see if there was anything they could do because they were missing the five o'clock window. He said he would check to see if there was any other truck in the area and give me a call back. He never returned my phone call; not even to say that there was nothing else they can do. The movers finally showed up about 45 minutes late. To make a long story short I think I work just as hard if not harder than anyone of them did in getting the truck loaded. Once we were done at the apartment and I was ready to head over to the storage place, the workers looked at me because apparently they had forgotten there was a second location. They add not been packing the truck well enough to fit all of my household goods without damaging them. It was a long night and they didn't leave my house until after midnight. The movers were exhausted because they're management failed them and overbooked. Several of my items were damaged. When I tried to submit a claim I sent several emails over the course of a few weeks and did not hear anything back. Finally I sent a note stating that I would try to engage them management and if that did not work then I would get my lawyer involved. I cannot believe that I had to go to this length in order to get a response from them. They we're just as non responsive and slow during the claim process as they were doing the moving process. The only reason I chose this company is because they had such good ratings and I cannot express how disappointed I was with the service. I would not recommend them to anyone and I would never use them again.

Two Guys and a Truck (Now My Guys Moving) responded promptly to email request for a quote (unlike the other two companies we attempted to get a quote from). Dan (the manager) responded within 24 hours or less to every question. They promptly rescheduled our move when our construction completion slipped a week. They called an hour before arrival, showed up on time, were courteous and attentive on the walkthrough, and then worked like gang-busters without a break to empty our one-bedroom condo of large furniture items: couch, queen-sized bed, coffee table, entertainment center, dressers, desks, chairs, and numerous boxes. They showed up promptly at the new home, and cheerfully placed all furniture where desired. I noted that they wrapped items (the white couch, antique dresser, mirror, etc.,) in quilting and plastic wrap to protect it--and everything arrived undamaged. I was thoroughly impressed with the experience (and after 22 years of military moves, I should know!). They put down material to protect the new hard-wood floors, and were very careful not to ding the just-painted walls or trim. The price was reasonable given it was a Saturday afternoon job. Tthey finished in less time than I expected (based on my experience with 22 years of military moves using major companies such as Allied Van Lines). And were courteous, responsive to my requests, and good-natured throughout, which made moving day more pleasant than I'd dared hope.

I contacted Two Guys and a Truck based off of the reviews I read on Angie's List. I was seeking a moving company for a local move in the DC/Maryland area. After soliciting information from your website, Kenny contacted me by email to inquire more information about my move. ... And that's where the service ended. Kenny wanted me to email him a list of items I need moved or schedule an in-home estimate. When I tried to schedule the in-home estimate, he complained about the distance to my house was from his, said he'd "check his schedule" and get back to me. Kenny never got back to me. I tried emailing and calling one more time just in case he lost my contact information. I guess that was my cue. I tried contacting the 1-800 number from the website, but when I asked to speak with a manager - I was hung up on. Coincidence? Maybe so. However, if this is the kind of treatment customers receive at the onset, I'll go somewhere else. And I'll tell my friends the same. UPDATE: After I filed a complaint via their website's customer service email link, management reached out to me and Kenny returned my call and email at approximately 8:00pm at night, which I thought was a little late -- I assume based off my feedback. Although the gesture is nice, now I'm unsure if I should even bother with this company.

They were great. I really liked the way that they handled everything. They finished packing the kitchen. They wrapped my furniture in plastic and were very careful with my things. They gave me an estimate, timeframe, and arrival time. They were right on with everything.

Nady came out to give me an estimate. He was very friendly and even though they were not the cheapest, I felt very confident and comfortable with the information he gave me. I even went to their warehouse to pick up the free boxes they had as an offer and the people there were also nice and very organized. The day of the move was record June heat (over 100). The crew that came to work that day showed up on time (estimate was for between 8 and 9am--they were there at 8:10am), were very polite, and worked unbelievably hard. They carefully wrapped my furniture as well as put protection down on my floors and banisters. I would definitely recommend My Guys for moving!

Company responded to voice mail and email request for services. Provided short notice on site estimate only 48 hours prior to requested moving day. Accepted earnest deposit via credit card and applied toward final invoice. Specialty trained Team of 4 arrived with stacks of additional boxes in case they would be needed. Repacked and reduced existing items in multiple boxes and plastic containers. Listened carefully about which areas and items to take versus those to relocate. Removed rubbish while preserving desired items. Team of 4 packed and relocated 20 foot truck worth of volume to local storage unit. Patient while waiting for Storage Unit Manager to provide access to larger storage unit than planned. Unpacked by stacking floor to ceiling in a 10x20 storage unit - efficiency leaves room to bring additional items to unit. Completed job in 1/2 the estimated time. Team and Customer spoken with separately by the Customer Service Rep. Questions and Concerns addressed on the spot or followed up within a few hours. Only part that did not go smoothly was the survey as front office staff did not seem to understand the type of job performed and could not adapt their questions to the situation. Had to send clarifying emails and never heard final outcome whether sufficient for their process or not. OVERALL: Quality and Satisfaction for job well done. Will use them again and recommend them to others. Price about $200 more than what was expected and did not include tip for the team that took such good care of our belongings. But worth the extra in terms of time saved if we had tried to do it ourselves over several nights and weekends. And one note of caution - Don't confuse My Guys in Sterling with the other companies with similar names like 2 Guys and a Truck.

Our move started with ordering and delivery of boxes -- absolutely loved that they deliver for free with purchase of $100, while at the same time will buy back extra boxes that you don't use. The call to book the move was painless, and the company confirmed the move by calling the day before. We actually had 4 guys helping us with our move. The move took a total of 10 hours, rather than the estimated 6 hours -- but not the fault of Two Guys, who arrived promptly but then were delay because a contractor working on our building had scaffolding up over the loading dock so the truck could not get in. That took over an hour for the building to remove and because of that we lost the use of the freight elevator before we were done to someone else who had reserved it (yes, our old building agreed to pay us for the additional charges from Two Guys caused by this delay), The movers were great through these frustrations, they worked very hard and quickly -- with hardly any breaks! They communicated well. If you're concerned with hourly charge for local moves, don't be! Two Guys worked very diligently. A small percentage of boxes ended up in the wrong rooms from marked on the box, but we have not yet found anything damaged. Good job, Two Guys.

Overall it was okay. The showed about an hour into their arrival window. My main complaint is that they dropped about three of the boxes. Luckily one of the boxes was just terra cotta flower pots... not worth much money. But another box had some ceramic items, that despite the padding, didn't survive the fall. It was only two rooms of boxes and furniture.. not much.. but yet there were some fatalities in the move. And they didn't apologize. Nobody cares about your stuff as much as you do I guess. The whole outfit was friendly and responsive, but not quite sure if I'd call them next time if I need to move.

It was overall a good experience. Sometimes the sales associate did not get back to me on things I wanted to know ahead of time but the actual movers did a good job.

The move went very well! The crew arrived early and worked for 11 hours. The overall experience was extremely positive.

They did great. They were on time. It was the price they charged. They set everything up. They did everything they said they'd do.

While the move was very well done, the price estimate was low balled. It was about 50% higher than what I was quoted.

They did the job, worked the whole time and I bought all the supplies with them. They did everything they were supposed to do and did nothing wrong. I will use them again in the future.

We have no complaints at all. Everything was wonderful. They showed up on time and were very diligent in making sure everything was wrapped and taken care of. We were amazed it took them only about 2.5 hours to complete the move and that include the ride to and from, as well as, assembling and disassembling our IKEA bed. We're happy with the service and the price.

Made an appointment for a truck and two movers to move several pieces of furniture (sofa, chair, ottoman, bed, dressers, hope chest, office furniture) from one 2 bedroom condo to another 2 bedroom condo less than a mile away. Both condo buildings had loading docks and elevators. As a weekend move, I had to book for a three hour minimum rate, plus one hour of travel time, which was quoted for $516. Caesar and his partner arrived exactly on time and had all the necessary moving items (pads, shrink wrap, carts, etc.). We ran into early problems on my end (NOT a problem with the movers) as my concierge did not show up for work that day, and we could therefore not access the loading dock or lock down the elevator. Caesar and partner took this in stride, parked the moving truck as close as they could to accessible doors and went to work. The team took no breaks and steadily wrapped and moved the furniture into the truck. When we arrived at our destination, they worked equally hard to load the furniture into the new place in the room locations requested. The team finished in under three hours, and I was charged exactly the price quoted on the phone. No damage was noted either to my furniture or the condo walls/elevators. This is my first experience with movers (historically have relied on family/friends), and I would not hesitate to use this company again.

We hired 2 Guys and a Truck to move us out of our apartment and into storage. We had an appointment set up between 8-9 AM. They showed up at 7:30 and the contract started at 7:45. We had 2 bedrooms a living room full of stuff and a ton of boxes. We were out of the house and on the way to the storage location by 9:00. The guys worked hard and fast. We finally finished at 11:30. It was way faster than I expected. We would have finished quicker if the elevator in the storage building was faster. Overall it was a great experience and we will use them again when we move into our new home.

Movers were on time and very polite. Worked steadily and had our truck unloaded quickly. They were very careful not to scratch our hardwood floors or ding walls/wood work.

Overall experience good. The representative came out on time, we discussed my needs, My son was in the hospital and i came up to Virginia to move his belongings to a new residence, he has severaL ELECTRONICS, man cave situation, collectibles that he is very particular with, so I know I needed professional, bonded and insured company with good reputation to handle very stress job. The rep gave me the cost after carefully looking over the entire house, called other companies on your list that were closer and cheaper, but they could not accomdate me with the short time span i was given to do the job. Two Guys and truck were expensive, but it has been my experience sometimes you gewt what you pay for. Call them back on Thursday for Saturday morning move, no problem. What i would do better would try to have more time, however with family emergency, time was not allowed. the entire process was 6 hes, including drive time and setup. They setup all beds and place items where Iindicated, Very nice and mannerly, the three guys made a stress situation better,
