My Guys Moving & Storage

Received several phone quotes for a local move; went with My Guys due to both reviews and price. Paid $109/hour for two guys, plus $109 for truck/transport. Three hour minimum. Two guys arrived about 10 minutes before the appointed time but did not charge me for those minutes, and finished a few minutes after the three hour mark (and did not charge me even for a fraction of an hour). Guys wrapped literally everything they moved (it was pouring rain) and put carpet protectors everywhere. Guys were extremely professional and very efficient. Also very patient with me as I asked to re-locate furniture items at the destination. No damage, no issues. Would absolutely use them again.

Received a very professional cost-estimate prior to move. On moving day everything went very smoothly; they arrived on time, worked hard, and finished the job in an hour less than estimated. They wrapped all our furniture, carefully loaded it along with our pre-packed boxes, ensured floors and stairs were protected as they unloaded. No damage to goods or either home.

Part one went very well. They arrived on time, moved us out on schedule and told us to get in touch when it's time for the last part of our move.

They were early getting there and early completing the move. They were very respectful of my belongings and everything made it in one piece. Scheduling the move was painless. I had receive four quotes and 'My Guys Moving and Storage' was the leas expensive. I would absolutely recommend their services to others.

They had a nice estimate process and showed up on-time and worked really hard. They were very respectful of our belongings. We were satisfied with the cost. Scheduling was easy and the mover actually arrived a little early and completed this move in the time frame they indicated they would.

They did a really good job. Scheduling the appointment was fine. I was in a time crunch and they seemed like a good choice. I would recommend their service to others.

They’re very professional, on-time, fast and efficient. The movers were incredible. They asked me before they moved our sofa if it was OK to remove the seats on the sofa because it wouldn't fit through the door and this type of communication is what made them stand out. The person scheduling the appointments had great communication and checked in with us before and after the move. During the first move into storage I was pregnant and the second move I had a newborn and they were respectful by being quiet. I would recommend them to friends and family and we would definitely use their services again for a future move.

They were on-time and never stopped working from the minute started. They guys were all business. They were respectful of the contents of our home and there wasn’t any damage to anything. They did a great job. They moved some pretty big, heavy furniture. The speed and accuracy was impressive. I would definitely recommend their service to others and would use them again if needed in the future.

My elderly mother-in-law contracted with "My Guys Moving" for her move from one apartment to a local retirement home. The movers, Javier, Ulysses, Reuben and Mark from My Guys Moving were all hard working and professional in every way. They were courteous and my mother-in-law as treated with respect by the movers. The furniture, doors etc were covered with padding to help insure no damage would occur. The movers showed up when expected and worked efficiently and completed the move in the time expected. I felt the price charged was very reasonable. I cann't think of one thing they could do to improve the service they provided. I highly recommend "My Guys Moving".

Below is an email explaining the issue. I sent this to the owner of My Guys Moving back on August 15th. I have since then sent a follow up email and left 2 voice mails with 2 different supervisors. Still no response. Very poor customer service. My wife and I have already told 3 people that will be moving soon to stay away from this moving company. They have all gone with someone else. We own a customer service based business with 800 "local" members, and will make sure they all stay far away from hiring My Guys. Money lost to My Guys and more to come. Dear -------, I acquired your email from a gentleman at your main office. I would like to discuss an issue we encountered while using your moving company. My wife and I used your moving company, My Guys Moving, back on June 15th. I disputed the amount of $258.00 with my bank on July 1st. This is also the date you charged my credit card. The disputed charge was reversed back for the sole reason that I signed the imprinted sales slip which I had to sign because your movers refused to leave my house until I signed it. When the movers came they showed my the invoice that said only 10 pieces were to be moved. They were not happy and said this happens all the time. I was moving a three level town house. So they said that it would take approx 6 - 7 hours, not the three that I was told. I did tell your sales rep that I would get a lot of the small items out prior to the scheduled move. There were no boxes when the movers came just furniture and yes, there were some small items still left like chairs and a couple of nightstands which it becomes a mute point because me and my pregnant wife had to help the movers and moved just as much they did to try and get the time down. Long story short...... I spoke with ----, sales rep, while the move was taking place. Told him several times that I did not want my card charged until I talked to the owner or his boss. I was never contacted. We are self employed. Customer service is always a top priority and hope you feel the same as your business is referral driven. As I stated earlier, I signed the imprinted receipt because the movers would not leave. They both understood and assured me that they would make sure they would tell whomever was in charge to call before charging. I have texts between me and your sales rep that show that I said not to charge my card until I talk with someone. I am assuming that the sales rep and the movers never told anyone that I wanted to speak to someone in charge or that there was an issue, as you the owner would have contacted me. The amount of $258.00 is the two hours that went over the 4 hours min. We are asking that this be refunded. Please call me anytime with questions/concerns to discuss. Thank you for your time, --------- UPDATE: I called again and this time I had the luxury of speaking with a manager. Joe listened and understood the problems that we encountered and will be taking care of us. He rectified the situation, if only this happened 2 months prior we would not of had any issues with My Guys Moving.

Javier and his team did a great job. They all worked hard and handles all my furniture, pictures, clothes, etc carefully. There are a lot of moving companies out there. I would use these guys again any time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

They did a great job. Felix explained their services and was spot on about the time it would take. There was no pressure to go with them. He provided their estimate and an information package. After I reviewed other quotes (their price was the best), I called them back and locked in our move date.. After having been through many moves with the military, these guys took great care with our furniture and ceramics. They were about 20 minutes late arriving due to traffic, but that was the only blemish on an otherwise flawless job. They wrapped our items very well and took great care to avoid walls and door frames. They didn't knick anything on the way out of our old home or into our new home. Not a single scratch or any type of damage to our furniture or home. They even laid runners down on our hardwood floors to protect the floors along the path they were walking. This was a partial move of our household. We will use them next month to move the rest of our belongings.

I have not received my refund

I was very impressed with My Guys. The estimator, Josh, was very thorough, and seemed more honest in his estimate than the other companies I called; for instance, he said that he felt it would take 4 guys 10 hours to do the move, even though other companies had said it would take only 7 or 8 hours. He also explicitly included the charge for hoisting two large pieces of furniture, while other companies said they would add that as an extra charge "if necessary" (I have no idea how they thought it wouldn't be necessary - the two items required hoisting over an external balcony to get to the 2nd floor in the first place.) Even with the additional hours and the hoist charge, My Guys' estimate was about the same price as the other companies I got quotes from, and they included more insurance as well. The four guys arrived right on time and got straight to work. We were amazed at how quickly they worked. I was especially grateful that they taped cardboard over the stairway walls and ceilings to prevent damage (the last movers had left many marks and gouges that I had to fix after they left). We have several pieces of wood furniture that are hard to move (a fragile antique desk, a VERY large and heavy entertainment center, and a large rolltop desk that breaks down into pieces), and they were very careful and nothing got damaged - first time EVER, in my many moving experiences! Unloading everything at the new house took longer than expected, for one reason because the previous owner had left a bunch of her stuff behind that made it hard to move our belongings in. It also started raining when there were still things to unload, but the guys kept right on working. They even took extra care to place my ridiculously heavy concrete pig bench at the exact spot in the yard where I wanted it. (The official bill had a notation that read "No extra charge for pig!" which made me laugh. The move ended up taking 11 hours rather than 10, but I had no issue with paying the extra hourly fee. (We tipped them a couple hundred more, as well.) The guys worked their tails off the entire time and there was absolutely no slacking. The bill would have been much higher if we had gone with one of the other companies that grossly underestimated the time required for the move. There were only two things that didn't get done perfectly: The bottom drawer of my armoire was off the track when I checked it the next day, which took my husband about 3 minutes to pull out and fix; and the hardware to reattach the headboard of our bed got lost in the move, so they left the headboard unattached to the bed frame. Again, it only took a few minutes for my husband to put it back together after we purchased a few new bolts. All in all, My Guys did a wonderful, professional job, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

My Guys Moving & Storage It was amazing. We had non-professional load the trucks, everything was really jammed in there and so they really had their work cut out for them. They kept busy and we went a little over, I think I originally had them for four hours and it took five hours but they just kept at it. I wouldn't move without using a mover again.

They provided an estimate (that was subsequently exceeded by the ultimate cost), packed us, and moved the home. All those involved were courteous, punctual, friendly, and professional. In hindsight, we probably could have packed less ourselves, as they were much faster and better at the whole process! There was virtually nothing broken (only a couple of small items of little consequence), with nearly everything arriving in the condition as it started. The packing went very quickly, followed by the long drive. The unpacking went more slowly (as you'd expect), but they never slowed down -- we had to convince them to take a break and eat some food we ordered! Back to the estimate -- we had lots of books and similar heavy items that we believe were underestimated in the original cost estimate. I don't thing the final cost -- though more -- was unreasonable. One small complaint: they said that we could get used packing boxes from them before the move (we had done this on a previous move where we used them), but they never became available. We bought new ones instead, adding a couple of hundred dollars to our move -- but again, this was not a terrible inconvenience or cost. We've used them twice now, and would readily use them again. The experience was positive!

Excellent performance. Highly professional,--both the actual movers and the company, polite, did precisely what was requested, well organized, speedy.

They were good but I think they need more experience. Nothing was damaged and everything went well.
