It snowed heavythat day, with fed. gov closed. They came on time and kept both houses clean and all of our stuff dry. They were great.

Great job. Showed up on time, took extra care to protect furniture during the move out. Also, when we arrived at our destination, they protected the floor with rugs/mats. Nothing damaged during the move. Phone calls the day before to confirm the appointment and a phone call from the driver just before arrival were appreciated.

My expectations were surpassed by the gentlemen that helped load my rental truck. My townhouse had three levels and was way beyond my ability. I started by discussing the loading of not only the townhouse but a nearby storage facility with Terry, a knowledgeable company estimator. Terry provided an estimate that also proved accurate at the final billing. On the day of the move, a crew of three movers promptly showed up. They reviewed the boxes and furniture to be moved and worked non stop until the truck was full, with most of the work being done in outdoor freezing temperatures. They ensure all pieces were properly wrapped and tape. Carpet protector kept it clean. Handling of my boxes and furniture was done with care. The truck itself was amazingly packed solid within hours. They were quick and efficient. They packed items for me in wardrobe boxes without me needing to say anything. In fact, they packed so fast that by the time I looked for items that were not going, it was already packed. The start load was from 9:30am to 1:30pm a three bedroom and living room apartment. It was four flights of stairs with four movers and a heck of a lot of work. There was a lunch break and travel miles to destination was 13 miles with start time to unload EST 2:15pm with finish at 4:15pm. They prep both places because it was raining and very wet all day. Kudos to these people and I would definitely recommend and refer them to others to use again. By the way, they were a referral for me to use. The irony is that the sellers of this house that I just purchased recommended them to me at our home closing; therefore, they were already familiar with this house. Now, that is awesome

The Move was Great. First, for my convenience, the time of arrival was changed one day prior to the move - not a problem. The movers were on time, asked a lot of questions after looking at the old and new apartments and brought plenty of wraps to ensure my carpets did not get dirty, or the doors, scratched. Even with a lot of salt and dirt in the elevators from the last snow event, all of my belongings arrived in the new apartment wrapped, clean and without a single "scratch." The movers also made sure that my furniture was where I wanted it to be. The price of this move was very reasonable, and stress for myself - was non-existent. This is a premier/professional moving company and deserves more business. Do not hesitate to call them first when preparing for a move.

All aspects of the job were good except for some damage that was created during the move, and the companies lack of responsiveness to address the damage. In accordance with the companies claims procedure, I provided notification and documentation of the damage, along with the approximated values, but the company would not respond to my emails. Other than the cold shoulder on the damage claim, I completely would have.After they had no willingness to discuss damages incurred, I will not hire this company again.

I have used them on 3 moves and every time have had a wonderful experience. Always quick to return my calls, the crew arrives on schedule and they are always quick & nice. Never had any damage, which is a plus with moves since every other mover I have used has always damaged something during the move.

They were excellent! They were reliable and on time. They were able to complete the move all in one day. We had some very heavy pieces to move and they were protective and diligent in taking care of our items. They very, very good!

We have used them about four to five times over a period of about ten years. We started using their services when they used a different business name. We had so many personal belongings that were amazed at how well they were able to fit everything in the truck. They worked hard from they time they got there until way past the time they expected to finish. They have done a wonderful job! The cost has been surprisingly inexpensive for the amount of work that they do and the time and care they put into the job. They are amazing and treat your belongings as if it were their own. They are personable and have great communication. I would recommend them to others.

They were on time and completed the move quickly. We had two men for the job. They were able to complete the job in just a couple of hours. They were polite and nothing was damaged. The price was comparable to other companies and may have even been less than others. Everything was fine.

We used this service twice within a month and both times they called so we could meet them at the storage and they did call. They were pleasant, efficient, careful and quick. They were also very patient as we chose the items we needed. They unloaded and placed the items quickly and set up beds. They placed coverings over the carpeting and were extremely careful about where they walked. I should add that for one of the moves it was very rainy. It was a pleasure to work with them and they are my first choice. We loved them!

My Guys Moving showed up on time as promised, backed into a tight alley way beside the building and quickly started the moving process. The movers were very courteous and helpful. The building was in a down town area with a lot of traffic and limited access to the basement apartment. The guys answered all of our questions and overcame all difficulties associated with a move within a city. The guys moved my daughter's belongings to another section of the city from a logistically difficult location. After carefully placing all the furniture and other belongings the guys reassembled her large "Scandinavian bed" which was like a puzzle with too many parts, and inscrutable fasteners. All her belongings were moved with no damage and no losses. The entire process was completed within the estimated time and budget. I would definitely use My Guys Moving again and will recommend the company to my friends and anyone who needs a moving company.

Had 2 trucks and 6 guys. They were great. It was cold with ice and snow still on the ground. They busted their butts prepping the house, helping assure good footing on the outside walks and steps, and they really hustled, without me feeling like they were just rushing to get through. They were diligent asking where things went and then assisting when the occasional item went to the wrong room. I was alone directing where things were to go, yet I never felt that fact was frustrating them or slowing them down. Great crew.

We were referred to My Guys by my renovation contractor. My initial consultation with one of the owners, Josh, was wonderful. He was extremely courteous and professional and gave me a reasonable estimate for the move. However, when the day of the move came, my experience was not so wonderful. I will start by saying that the movers got everything to my home in good condition with no issues. My concerns are more about the way in which I was treated by the movers. The first thing the movers said to me was to point out that my moving fees did NOT include a gratuity. I understand that this is a gratuity-based business, and that many people probably don't tip as they should. I am not one of those people, and found it very off-putting that this was the first thing that they said to me. In addition, I received wardrobe boxes as part of my package, but I was constantly rushed by the movers to both pack and unpack these boxes. I understand that they are eager to keep moving, but when I'm paying for their time by the 15-minute period, it's perfectly reasonable for me to take the time needed to unpack these boxes while they move other items. It caused me to be even more flustered under what were already anxiety-producing circumstances. Lastly, our house was still (unfortunately) undergoing renovations at the time of the move such that the movers had to wait about 15 minutes in our new home's driveway to unload the truck due to new carpet being installed on the stairs. I understand that this was an inconvenience for them, but frankly, given that I was paying for their time, I was more than taken aback when they were rather rude to me about it. No one was angrier about the delays than I was, but having the movers jaw at me about it was not appreciated. These delays added about $200 to my total cost, though I recognize that these delays were not the mover's fault. While everything got to our new home safe and sound, my personal experience overseeing the movers was not particularly positive.

Everything good...on time, energetic and resourceful crew, made short work of moving very heavy safe on and off the truck. I will use this fine company again.

They arrived 15 minutes ahead of the window they gave me. This was a 2-stage move - from my prior home to a storage unit and then to my new home and they handled all the stages well. The move included a piano, and was from a 3rd story walk up to a second story walk up. I expected the move to take much longer than it did and they were very quick and careful in moving my belongings.

I just wanted to reiterate the wonderful job that My Guys Moving did. The reason I didn't put it as a 5-star is because I sometimes think those reviews are fake! I was super pleased with the team. They arrived right on time and covered all the stairs & door ways. We hired them just for the furniture and they got it all done in 3 hours. They charged us for an hour of traffic (as most companies do), so total cost ended up being just under $500 because we moved on an off-peak time. I shopped around with different companies in the area and they definitely offered the best price and only required a 2 hour minimum. They had 2 men do the move and they were just fantastic. I thought because the price was low that the service might not be quite as good, but I was thankfully wrong. I will definitely be using them again for future moves. Thanks again!

5 movers showed up on time with two trucks. I showed them around. Then they covered the floor with plastic and started on one level. All furniture was individually wrapped in blankets and or shrink wrapped. Once done with both trucks, they drove to Newhouse and unloaded everything. There was not a single dent in any wall or furniture piece. They were extremely careful.

From start to finish this move was the least stressful of them all. The 5 man crew and their 2 trucks showed up on time and went straight to work, from placing down protective coverings on the floor to hauling boxes to the truck, they disassembled beds, including a trundle and ergonomic bed, disassembled our lazy boy furniture, hauled out our piano, large safe and numerous other large furniture items and when they arrived at our new house assembled everything back properly. They were non stop from start to finish for over 10 hours. Would recommend them to anyone and would use them again if needed, which hopefully will not be for a very long time.

Excellent job moving us from Herndon to Alexandria. Very curteous staff. Everything arrived in perfect condition after storing it for 3 weeks. Efficient and competitive with other quotes we got. Chose them based on recommendation fom our realtor and their responsiveness coming to the house to provide estimate.

The crew was a few minutes early, set the house up to protect my floors and walls, reviewed with me what needed to be moved and any details and went to work. There were four young men, extremely well trained, clean cut and respectful (all spoke English). They treated my personal property as though it was their own. They had no hesitation when I asked them to move certain items from one spot to another in my new home. They went out of their way to comply with my expectations, and worked all day until the job was done with absolutely no complaints. My furniture arrived in excellent condition and was handled with extreme care. All beds were properly put together with no parts missing and no extra parts left over. They cleaned up everything before they left. I have moved numerous times in the past 35 years both across country, abroad and locally and this has got to be the second best move I've had. I cannot express how impressed I was with the entire process. I would highly recommend My Guys to anyone to cherishes their belongings and wants them to be treated with TLC. Can't say enough good things about this company. Was very hesitant to hire them as the last company I hired through Angie's list turned out to be a disaster and cost me thousands of dollars in both moving and repairs. This was a wonderful surprise.
