My Guys Moving & Storage

Was not able to find provider when I was ready to start the purchase, so was unable to take advantage of their deal.

Our experience was fantastic. It seems impossible, but our move was virtually stress free. The team that packed us was careful and thorough, and was very considerate in how boxes were labelled (flagging for us which ones contained essentials that should be opened first). The team that moved us was equally as careful and considerate. Everyone we dealt with -- from the estimator to the packing and moving crews were kind and helpful. Nothing was broken, the moving crew made sure everything ended up in the right place -- it was truly a pleasure to work with them.

My family and I received very poor moving services from My Guys Moving. My Guys management pays its movers by the job - which encouraged the rushed and sloppy handling of our valuable furnishings. There was no My Guys supervisor on site so the workers did what they wanted. I actually caught them throwing my glass framed photographs several feet into a box. Although My Guys advertised - and represented during the estimate - that they had packing services available, the movers refused to pack up anything - except for large furniture. These movers actually left my first home without even letting me know they were going - I saw their trucks rolling down the street before I knew that they had planned to leave. Accordingly, several items were left behind which obviously should have been placed in the moving truck. Since My Guys had no manager on site during the moving, the movers decided for themselves when it was time to leave to party. When the trucks arrived at the new location the next day, the payment demanded by the My Guys movers was way higher than the highest price on the estimate range I had received. There was no My Guys supervisor on site or anyone else available by telephone for me to discuss the reason for the much higher price. The movers on site refused to unpack anything - and threatened to leave with all of my furniture - unless they were paid the full increased price right away. My Guys refused to pay for their obvious witnessed destruction of some valuable bone china - unless I signed a waiver preventing me from any and all future claims associated with the move. All in all - avoid My Guys Moving. They sweet talked me into trusting them and then predictably did a very poor rushed job - My Guys management pays their movers by the job and has no supervisor on site - which naturally promoted the rushed and sloppy handling of my valuable furnishings.

The movers were fabulous! These guys worked sooo hard I felt bad that I had so much stuff! They were professional, incredibly strong, and never complained or slacked in any way. At some point I would've bet a million dollars that my freshly painted walls would have been damaged but they got massive furniture up my staircase with no damage! They protected my railings, doors, and floors! Only downside was the estimator, he made a minor scheduling and price mistake and didn't deliver on a promise but other than that it's the price and the movers that mattered to me the most so I'm still 100% satisfied with them.

I like the fact that there weren’t a base number of hours you have to use. You have to guarantee them one hour, which was very easy to do and the rest of it was on the time clock. They were prompt. Nothing was damage or broken. Everything was wrapped, delivered and unwrapped. They took away the papers that were here. Like I said, I like their billing policy. They were here when they were supposed to be here. I'll rate them highly as well. If I’ll be moving locally, I would definitely use them again.

I sent them an email request for an estimate on Oct 14 and stated that I was an angie's list member. It was just for a very small move, but I at least expected a response from them stating that the job was too small if that was the case. Just ignoring my request altogether is rude and unprofessional.

George and company were very responsive during the first part of our transaction- the estimate. George came out and did a walk through to provide me with an estimate. He was very friendly and professional and truly sold us on their services. One complaint up-front I have is that I asked him for the estimate to include packing services. When the estimate came back (approx. $3,000) I assumed it included packing since I had requested the quote to include it. However, I learned a few weeks later that packing would cost another $1,000 and the quote didn't include the packing. That was annoying but we moved forward with them because of George's overall customer service thus far. On moving day, a crew of two showed up and were surprised to see that I had a piano. This was another item that was definitely discussed during the estimate but hadn't been communicated through to everyone who needed to know. The company was able to send out an additional mover to help move it and it ended up being no grief re:piano. The crew was skilled and wrapped up the move within a few hours. They blanket wrapped a framed picture which arrived in the final destination with the glass broken, however, so far I have not identified any other damages to the big items or items they packed. They partnered with Red Ball to transport the shipment from DC to Oklahoma. While I might recommend My Guys, I would not/not recommend Red Ball. They delivered the shipment today and were unapologetic for the damaged picture I mentioned and implied it was my fault that My Guys had blanket wrapped it for me. They have also been unresponsive, two days late in arriving, and completely lacking in customer service.

My Guys moved our belongings from McLean Virginia to rural Tennessee. They had the best price of the three movers interviewed and were always responsive. We had items in an apartment and in a storage unit, and they picked up everything and got it into one truck. When they discovered that the one truck was overweight for that truck, they moved everything into two trucks, and there was no extra charge! They arrived in Tennessee timely, and unloaded the trucks entirely and put furniture in the appropriate rooms. We are still unpacking, but it appears nothing was damaged and everything arrived. One of their competitors said they didn't think My Guys could handle this move, but they were so wrong. My Guys were terrific, and we highly recommend them.

The initial set up of the move and estimate was provided promptly and we received pretty good customer service. On the day of the move we were given a window of 8 to 9 am that the movers would show up. The movers did not arrive until 9:50 am and did not start moving us until 10:10 am. I had to call the moving company to determine an ETA on the movers, no one reached out to me proactively when they were late. Apparently the driver of the moving truck got stuck in our parking lot, no one came to knock on our door to let us know what was going on. My husband had to go outside to inquire about what was going on. I called My Guys to find out where the movers were at 9:39, I never received a call back regarding my inquiry. However, a rep from My Guys did call at 11 am just to do a quality check and I found that interesting since no one ever called me to apologize that they were late nor to give me an update. Once the movers arrived and got started they worked quickly and efficiently to pack and move our belongings. We did have a snafu where a mirror was broken and our hardwood floors were scratched. I have reached out to start the claims processing for that. The entire packing and moving took 5 hours. Our quote was about $200 short of what we actually paid, but I consider that reasonable enough.

They arrived on time. Didn't waste time getting started. They were very careful about not banging up walls and doorways. Protected the harwood floors. All furniture was wrapped in blankets and shrink wrapped too. Most of the crew spoke English and all were courteous. The experience was the same when they delivered our belongings. Very careful about protecting walls and floors. Didn't complain when we changed our minds about where to place furniture. The costs were actually below what they estimated. One minor issue: when I called to arrange for delivery from storage to our new house I was sent to voice mail and the call was not retruned. I had to follow up a couple times to actually get in touch with the scheduler. We have had professional movers in the past - My Guys was the best.

They were professional through the entire job. They helped make a stressful task easier by working very hard, being on time, charging what they said they would, etc. All were very pleasant as well.

It was a great and excellent experience. The people who came were just wonderful, gracious, easy to work with, did everything very neatly and there's no mess at all. They were very careful with furniture and it was reasonable. In fact, they were so good that we asked for the same team to come back. I really just can't say enough nice things about them.

I would rate them 9 out of 10. They were fine. I used them a couple of years ago. The cost was reasonable. They were totally fair.

They were awesome. I am a realtor, so I use them on a regular basis, and I have used them for years. I refer them to my clients, and they use them. I last refered them to a client 2 weeks ago. They were a referral to me by a stagger. They are reliable, they do a great job, and they are fast. One time we had an appointment that got messed up, but they fixed it.

I had excellent service with them. They were very professional and quick. I had no issues with the service.

The price is probably competitive and they were pretty quick.

It was pretty good move but they were more expensive that the quote. They are prompt and they were careful with my stuff.

We had a good experience. We never could figure out whatever happened to the box. They said they never had it. I don't think it was inventoried. I think they just cleared the house and put it in the new house. Somehow, we lost the box. I really liked their packers and the work of the people who came to pack for us. We've used them before and that's why we used them this time. It was pleasant for this move. They were very polite and very professional. They were very good.

I love those guys. I've used them a number of times. They do whatever you need them to do. If you want furniture moved within the house, they'll do it. If you want furniture moved to salvation army, they'll do it. I am disabled and they do anything I need done in the heavy moving category. They have been wonderful. I never had a problem. I think they're a little high on pricing but considering all the work they've done, it's the price I can live with.

We had a great experience with them. I can't think of anything I did not like. They moved our piano along with everything else with is an added bonus. Last time I had a separate company do that and it's an antique piano and they did a great job. Nothing was broken. Everyone that worked was very friendly. The manager that sold us the contract came on the day of the move to make sure everything was going well. Everything was great, very smooth.

The small crew arrived and did a good job moving the items into the truck and then into our home. Some direction was needed in terms of how best to load and unload truck, but all were polite, worked hard, and very good to work with. The only glitch was in estimating the cost of the load. The crew was surprise at how small our load was and that perhaps it might even cost less, but when the price was determined, it was nearly twice what was originally estimated.

I have moved many many times and My guys are among the best. They were both very professional and very easy to work with. Nothing was damaged and they were quick and efficient. I would recommend them with a 5 Star rating and will use them again without a moments hesitation!!!
