There was an issue when our large flat screen tv was taken off the wall to paint and replaced. It didn't work properly. We rarely use the tv so I didn't try it before they left. Assuming it would work fine. I contacted Ivan 2 weeks later and explained why I didn't realize the tv was not working properly. He wasn't happy I waited so long to contact them, but explained why. After discussions with Ivan( the owner of M& D Home Repairs & Remodeling) as too who was responsible he sent an Electronics repairman out. The problem was Directv related and who was responsible I can't tell you, but we reached a compromise with the repair that I was happy with. I also paid part of the tv repairman's bill because I was happy with him and his advice for our surround sound tv system. Marco and his assistant did a wonderful job painting the room. I would hire them again, but after the tv issue I am not sure Ivan would want to work with me. But, lesson learned here. I will always try a tv or anything electronic before and after a job. The walls look spectacular-no roller marks or drips. THe bathrooms were small and the painting was very professional./ One of the men had a family emergency and the owner came to take his place so the work I wanted wash completed. I am very satisfied. I am looking forward to finishing all my paint projects with them.

The scope of the work required on our job was significantly larger that would have been possible under the BigDeal terms, which were for two painters for one 8-hour day. M&D sent someone to estimate the job and it was agreed that it could be completed in 2 days using a 2 man crew. M&D extended the BigDeal price to the second day. It took a bit of time to find a two day time slot, but we were in no rush and preferred consecutive days to separate days. The crew arrived on time (8am), gave me a list of materials that they needed and by the time I returned with the paint, they were well into prepping. The crew took a one hour lunch break and returned promptly to work until 5pm. They cleaned up and removed all materials to the garage for overnight. Day two was much the same, except that they stayed longer to ensure that all work was to my satisfaction. The final ceiling was still wet when they left. Later that week, after the ceiling had dried completely, we noticed that there were some streaks where repairs had been made. I called M&D and they promptly came to our home to evaluate. Ivan immediately scheduled a two man crew for a half day on Saturday and another coat of paint was applied at no cost to me. I could not be more pleased with the work or the professionalism of everyone I worked with at M&D. I will definitely call them the next time I need painters!

.Very professional with excellent work ethic!!!! Some delays due to rain (not Mr. Mora's fault). Good communication via e-mail and phone. Painters and carpenter performed quality and through work. I am very pleased with the outcome and will call upon M & D Home Repairs again when the needs arises.

Deck power wash and stain went very well considering the amount of rain in July! Ivan & Pilar are very professional, prompt & courteous! Highly recommend!

Outstanding work!!! M&D arrived early and worked the full 8 hours with 2 painters. These guys were thorough and professional. A little difficult to get scheduled originally, as they must be busy, but when the day came, I had a list of small holes, paint scratches on walls, settling cracks and a home office that needed to be painted. The split up and went right to work. When they discovered that I had accidentally placed the wrong paint for one of the touch-ups, they went through all of my old paint cans to find the right color. I will absolutely look to M&D for my next painting job.

It went very well. The deal I purchased was for a 2 person crew for 8 hours (total of 16 hours of work). When only one person showed up on the first day, I contacted Sofia and she responded immediately that they would finish the job on Saturday so no one would have to take another day of work off to be home. The bathroom looks great ... very good work (we have had problems with paint peeling after removing the wallpaper in other parts of the house because the walls weren't prepped before the wallpaper was applied). When he was finished with the bathroom project, there was still time left on our 16 hours of work and he asked if there was anything else he could do. He did some patch work on walls in the spare room that I am going to paint later on. Very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of everyone we dealt with. Will definitely call them again when we're ready to repaint the house and redo the other bathroom (wallpaper again!). A++

The provider did nothing for me. I called and upon outlining my needs, the contact, Pilar, asked that I send an email outlining my address, the needs and the timeframe. I did this following the call on 7/24 and got no response. I sent another email to follow up and again received nothing in response.

The painters from M & D Home and Remodeling did a great job with their painting, including the cleanup. The rooms look clean and refreshed. We are glad that we used this company.

They were very good. They were nice to work with and they were out here on time. It was a very nice experience. As a matter of fact, I'm using their special again. They came on a Saturday. They came in and they put all their drop cloths down and they did what necessary patching and fixing up any place that needed to be treated. There were some things left that they couldn't get to. It was 16 hours and two guys. It was eight hours per man. The workmanship was good. I think they were trying to hurry. At once place there were some drips that I had to go through and fix. I think they were trying to do as much as I wanted, but of course that never turns out the way it is. But overall they were really good. What I appreciated was they were really kind and nice and conscientious and they got there on time. They were two very nice people to work with. That was good. They were wonderful. I really liked them. The price was excellent for what they did. I did buy the paint.

Except for using the wrong paint on the wall, everything went very well.

They were nice guys, proferssional, and very helpful, but the work could have been done a little quicker and for this price, I just don't see the value there.

I bought a big deal on Angie's list and scheduling was excellent. Sofia at W & D is an great communicator and responded quickly, inquired about the nature of my job, told me exactly what i needed to provide, what time the guys were coming and even emailed on friday evening just to double check on ceiling height. the guys came exactly when promised, they worked quickly, cleanly, and quietly. we weren't quite ready for them when they arrived so they even helped move the delicate stuff we were supposed to have taken care of already. they were really really polite and hard working. i would definitely hire W & D again.

I emailed per the instructions received in our phone conversation. Two days later I received a reply saying they are booked until the end of August and would not provide an estimate. "we can't help you at this time, we are booked until mid-end August"

I bought 16 hours of labor with an Angie's List Big Deal (2 painters for 8 hours). I wanted my living room and hall painted and needed wallpaper glue removed and lots of holes filled and minor drywall damage repaired. The company called to tell me they were on their way, and two painters arrived right on time. They worked steadily for the 8 hours with just a lunch break, and they got the whole job done. They removed all the glue, patched and repaired everything, put down a coat of primer and two coats of my paint. I couldn't believe they got it all done. The paint job was great and they cleaned everything up. They were quiet while they worked (I was working at home so appreciated that) and were very pleasant and professional.

Very well. The painters were punctual, courteous, and did an outstanding job.

The two men showed up early. They were very professional and very detail oriented. We had painted the the master bedroom when we moved in, but the ceiling still had to be done and the edges really needed to be touched up. In the end they put a coat of primer on the ceiling, then double coated it with the new color. Instead of touching up the ceiling/wall edges, they put a new coat on the walls as well. They also primed and painted the kitchen ceiling. I was very impressed by this company, and they even stayed a half hour late to make sure the job was completed.

I contacted Ivan by phone to schedule our repair. He instructed me to send an email with all of the information. I attached pictures as well - so that he would know the size of the job. They, then instructed me to get a list of materials in order to complete the job. We then scheduled the job for a month later, so I had plenty of time to prep the room and get the materials. Two days before the job, I got an email confirming they would be there. On the day of, they showed up when they said they would. They were courteous and professional and neat. They came in to look at the room and took off their shoes as soon as they walked into the house. They laid down a walkway from the front door to the room. They placed all of the furniture in the center of the room and covered it with plastic. The job took almost 8 hours exactly for the two workers. They wound up painting the whole ceiling and the whole wall (did not need to paint the other 3 walls because it looked good- but they would have painted the rest of the room if it needed it). They vacuumed and put all of the furniture back the way they found it. My husband and I are used to having to clean up after workers - and was bracing ourselves for dust to be all over the place. We did not find a spec of dust anywhere. Bottom line - is the drywall and paint looks like there had never been any holes and the place was as clean as when they walked in the door. I will definitely use them again!

We had a great experience working with Ivan and his M&D crew. Ivan (the owner) was on-hand daily as the project progressed. He was easy to contact and communicate with using both phone and email. The project went very well. The team stuck to the schedule to the best of their ability, the weather is pretty volatile in the spring and early summer, they worked around it very well. They even worked across weekends to make up time lost to bad weather. The crew was pretty much the same crew throughout the project. All of the crew members were punctual and polite and seemed to have the requisite level of technical knowledge to do the job. We very much appreciated Ivan telling us he did not have the know-how to perform one of the requested tasks. A lot of contractors would have just said they could do the work and we would have suffered with a sub-par installation. Ivan's honesty was obvious and appreciated. We greatly enjoyed working with M&D and plan to do so in the future.

When the provider got to my house, he realized my deck was on the 2nd floor. He did not have a ladder that high so he had to leave and get one. When I made the appointment, I was never asked where the deck was, just how big it was. He came back approx. 40 min later. He washed the deck and it looked much better and most of the mold spots were gone.

Smooth, two day job, completely clean afterwards.

The work they did was great! Can't see the seam where the ceiling was repaired, and the paint jobs look very good. The crew was on time the first day but not the second. They were very polite and professional, but did track a little paint onto throw rugs and the wood floor. They did their best to clean that up; they were also good at cleaning up after themselves in general. I appreciated that they touched up a line where paint and darker woodwork came together to make it straight. Overall I was satisfied with the service for both quality and value. Will definitely use them again and got a quote on another project while they were at my house.

We bought a "big deal" for $500 which gave us 2 painters for an 8 hour day. We provided the paint and brushes. They finished all but the walls/trim going up the stairs. Because they didn't finish, we were able to pay half the amount of the big deal for one of the painters to come back and finish the work. They were polite, prompt, and very neat with all the trim work. My only "thing" was I really don't know how long the entire job should have taken. Should 2 professional guys have been able to complete everything in 8 hours? I don't know. Overall, though, I still think $750 to paint everything probably was a good price and we were very happy with the end result. They came when they said they'd come, they were precise in their trim work, they cleaned up well. Ivan was always prompt in his email or phone responses.

They're pretty good. He was very willing to work with me like the stuff I want and very flexible, the job was well done.
