They did a great job. They were able to come out to my home quickly after I purchased the deal. They showed up on time for the appointment. I am satisfied with what they did.

The whole process went really well. The workers arrived on time and worked in diligent, professional manner. M & D completed all work provided for in the Deal and completed everything within the time allotted. M&D also did a good job cleaning up and removing all debris from work site.

They were on time, very nice, professional, but slow. I expected a lot more work to get done by two men in a day. They only got two (small) walls painted and one room ceiling. I was disappointed. But then again, I bought an deal through Angie's list and now I'm wondering if they don't work as hard for the discounted rate. Doesn't matter now, I won't use them again because my impression is they are slow and they will nickle and dime me to death for future projects. Sorry!

We were very pleased with M&D. It was easy to schedule with them. We sent them a picture and they told us exactly the supplies we needed. They arrived on time and worked throughout the day and accomplished everything we asked. The painters were polite and responsive. The office team was easy to reach and responded quickly to all of our questions. We had such a good experience we plan to use them again on a future project.

It turned out very well. It was very good. We are very pleased. He was very neat, very prompt and that was it. We don't really want to get a little more than what they did but they were very meticulous about how they did it so I have not problems with that. They spent more time on the room than I thought they would but they did such an excellent job. They did a very good repair job on the wall so I accept that that is fine.

Not much wall space so it seems extreme to use 16 hours for this one room, but when the house was built, apparently wall paper was put directly on the wallboard. Therefore, removing the wallpaper damaged the walls, and M&D had to repair. At the end of the day, the wallpaper was gone, the walls repaired and primer and 2 coats of paint as well as trim painted. Looks great. Painters were polite, professional and cleaned up. I have already scheduled another day to do a minor repair and continue with the painting of the ceiling and adjacent rooms.

The workers came on time. They said they were going to do two coats of paint but they only did one. I did not feel like they did their best and they were a little slow on the job. They took a whole day to do my kitchen. When the manager come by to take a look, I asked him to touch up some areas, and he was able to do that for me. I felt the manager was very professional. They did okay work but I would not use them again.

Honestly, they were going to get an "F" from me after the first day but Ivan, the owner called when I emailed about the problems I had and he did what we could to make it right. In the end the ceiling paint job was very good and the trim job after a second person came for a couple of hours was good though the initial painter said they could get the trim done in a second room too. The first day they had the ceilings done in both rooms before lunch which made me happy. During lunch one of the employees told me he painted on the side and told me he could give me a good rate. I found this pretty unprofessional but just decided to wait to see how he did in the end. AFter he told me he painted on the side, his work got a lot slower and the quality went down dramatically. He failed to do a second coat that was clearly needed on some areas and just painted over a bunch of issues with the trim instead of sanding it and then painting. He spent 45 minutes on the trim for one normal size window and painted the windows shut. The painter at the end of the day asked if I wanted him to come back that weekend separate from the company which I told him no. It was clear he slowed down to try to get more money for himself. When I emailed the company and explained this I got a call from Ivan pretty quickly and I told him what happened. Ivan was apologetic and offered to send someone out to do the second coat on the few things and to fix the trim. The painter came two days later and fixed the problems with that one room but the second room was never touched. I understand that they may not have been able to get to it because the room was big. In the end, Ivan tried to make it right which is a credit for him. Because I had the issue to begin with, I just couldn't give them an "A" overall.

After reading the strong reviews of the company, I decided to take advantage of the Big Deal M & D was offering (2 workers for a day to complete some dry wall repair projects). The repair went even better than expected. Both gentlemen arrived ahead of schedule and worked hard throughout the day, taking a short lunch break and returning back to work and staying until the job was complete. We have (unfortunately) had many workers in our home over the past year because of some water damage, and these guys did the best work of anyone we hired before. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. They took time to cover the other areas in the rooms while they were doing the dry wall repair, and their work was very well done with a clean finish. They worked steadily and hard throughout the day and were flexible and responsive to my requests as they went along. I was so impressed with their work that I asked for their names so that if we had other repair work to be completed, we could ask for them by name. After completing the work, they cleaned the areas around - doing a much better job with cleaning than any of the other workers who have been in my home this year. The owner of the company came out to inspect the job at the end of the day, which I really appreciated. I was very satisfied with the work, and M & D will be on my short list of businesses to call when I have other remodeling/repair work that needs to be completed.

The firm's scheduling person (Sofia) provided a date and time (Saturday morning) that was not met. I purchased the list of items requested prior to arrival of team of two persons. No one ever showed up and as previously agreed there was no e-mail provided regarding the cancelling of the agreed date. Sofia did not appear all to eager to try making use of email rather than telephone.

The guys are professionals . They did a beautiful job. They cut around the ceiling and trim perfectly. They sealed the trim and floorboards. They finished 3 rooms and even my neighbors said they did a great job. They also helped me get the paint.

I bought the 16 hours of painting deal through Angie's list, and couldn't be happier. They were on-time, professional, and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them for any painting work you need.

They were outstanding. The work was excellent. The men were polite, professional, hard-working and did exceptional work. They were among the very best contractors we have ever had in our 20 years as homeowners.

Very professional job. Lots of patches needed due to wall paper and nail pops. Chose a flat paint that shows all flaws. Result was even paint over a pretty beat up wall, no bleeding into moldings and a completely new look to the room. Seems on other wall invisible now and paint blended nicely to not see reworked area. Very nice job, polite team, cleaned up everything. Didnt quite get everything done i had hoped in the time but that is my fault as i had an aggressive list.

I purchased a $499 deal for 2 people for 8 hours each. Within a few minutes I received a reply back asking what day I would like to schedule the work be completed. After a few email exchanges I had all the details I needed. I would purchase my own paint and small supplies using the shopping list provided by M&D. The 2 workers showed up on time and got right to work. They were polite and talked intelligently about their services. They covered all floor areas they would be working in. One guy started the drywall repairs while the other started painting. They quickly determined I should buy more cans of paint. I ran to the store and picked up 2 cans for the staircase areas and another color for the 1/2 bathroom. They finished the drywall and painting I originally asked them to do. Good thing I picked up some paint for the bathroom because they completed painting of that room as well. I was really excited they finished the "extra" room. They used 2 coats of paint. Everything looked perfect. Before they left they picked up all trash and took it with them. They vacuumed the work areas and cleaned up. Thanks!

I would separate the customer service experience from the actual performance of the work. The workers who came were very professional, worked steadily throughout the day, and did a very nice job. No complaints at all. The customer service experience was a little strange. They don't like to handle appointments, etc. over the phone, so basically all communication is done over email. I was told that they've found it's "better to have it in writing". It's a little off-putting and makes you wonder what kind of problems there have been that they had to institute a no-calls policy. I'm not much for talking on the phone, but sometimes it's a lot easier to just pick up the phone and get things squared away, rather than having to email back and forth. It took about a week to get a follow-up appointment scheduled, waiting for return emails. But again, the work was good, hence the overall A grade.

They did a great job - arrived on time, did great work, and cleaned up well.

Ivan and his assistant were prompt and very professional. The work they performed was done efficiently and flawlessly. When completed, the bathroom ceiling was better than new. When the work was finished, they left the place spotless. I am definitely going to hire them again to do more work.

They were absolutely perfect. They worked hard, were friendly, professional, on-time and outstanding workers. My house looks beautiful. They did repairs, prepared the rooms, painted ceilings and walls, covered furniture, cleaned up and were a pleasure to have in our home. It was such a great experience, I will have them back in the near future to do other work.

In the end, it turned out fine. The only issue was that it's only 8 hours and one of the guys didn't schedule his time, he keep telling me he had additional time to get other things done but then he start on the same job until later and then when they were able to put 2 coats of paint on one of my bathrooms and they left it a little bit messy. I had to call the guy, Ivan, and he had to send another crew out the following Saturday to fix my bathroom. They ran out of time the first time so they just painted my molding and the rest of the bathroom but they came back out and fixed everything so that was a good part of it. Ivan was really concerned about wanting to deliver a good product and he follow through on it because I complained about it but he did actually come out himself to make sure the guy sent to me did what needed to do to finish it up. It was $499 plus an additional $65. He wanted to charge me $130 extra but he didn't explain well what I was being billed for so I called them on it and so it was only $65 for the additional time. When I told them to e-mail me back and they gave me e-mail updates and confirm things, it was really nice. They were really professional. The first crew did a really great job and then the second crew really knew what they were doing to fix the bathroom.

The provider arrived on time with everything they needed to complete the job. They got right to work removing the wall paper and when that was completed, they primed the walls to make the areas which needed repair easier to find. They even made time to repair an area of drywall that wasn't in the room we had scheduled them to remove the wall paper from. They were professional, quick, and did an excellent job. I would absolutely use this company again for drywall work since we have no more wall paper to remove.

The work took three days and everything came out perfect. Could not be more pleased. Ivan was very professional and completed all the work in the time frame quoted .His employees were very courteous and hard working .They covered and protected those areas that were not being painted. The ceiling came out so good and the finishing work on the walls was exceptional. I am very pleased with all the work that Ivan and his employees performed and have scheduled him for additional work to my downstairs powder room. I highly recommend M&D Home Repairs and Remodeling for those that need interior painting/dry wall repair or ceiling repair /painting

M&D called to confirm the appointment and M&D turned up on the agreed day and time. Work started work right away. Overall, the work was fine. A few spots on the deck were missed; which I did not notice until later.

Before I purchased the deal, I tried to get a clearer idea of what they would be able to finish in the 16 man-hours included, but it was actually not easy to get a response, including after I bought the deal. They did a decent job--actually, they did a very good job painting the ceiling, but I had the following issues with the rest of the paint job: (1) they painted over the vents and the outlets; I wouldn't have thought it was necessary to tell professional painters to tape over that or remove the outlet covers, or at least ask me what my preference was; (2) they cleaned the rollers in my newly refinished bathtub, and I had to clean off remaining paint and drywall dust; (3) generally, there was a lot of dust generated that remained (for example, they didn't cover the overhead light or clean it, and it was covered in dust). That's pretty much it. I'd sum it up by saying that I'm pleased with the job but not with the attention to detail or cleanup.
