M & D Home Repairs and Remodeling were super. I was very happy with them. I really like the particular man that did the work, he worked really hard. I would use them again. I had them do a few more things, I think I added somehting like $180 to the original cost but that was my choice because I added a few more things so he went beyond the eight hours or whatever it was. He was very polite, I think that's a big important factor. He was very kind, very neat and he do know cutting it in where the color meets the ceiling and it was a perfect line.

Reese and Carlos did a very professional job. The were prompt, courteous, and thorough. They communicated well with us to find out exactly what we wanted done and they complied with our wishes. Prep work was very important to us. We had a 2' x 1' hole in the ceiling that needed repair as well as a sagging ceiling creating bulging drywall seems in another room. They performed these tedious repairs cheerfully and accurately. The repaired areas look as good or better than the rest of the drywall in the house... a fact that is quite impressive to us given what the areas looked like prior to their arrival! They primed all the repaired areas and the walls of another room and caulked crown molding and trim work. Their recommendations on how we should proceed made it obvious that they are experienced at what they do. Their quality of work and the pace that they maintained were impressive. The 2 painters worked hard for 8 hours. At the end of the day, they were covered in drywall dust and sweat but still pleasant and professional. At the end of the day when all the drop clothes and plastic sheathing were removed, our home was clean and ready for paint. We have already scheduled to have Reese and Carlos return in just under 2 weeks to paint now that the prep work is completed. We didn't have any trouble scheduling with the company. Everyone with whom we interacted was prompt and responsive at the company. We are very pleased with their work.

The painters who came by were right on time, and very professional. The prep work was done well, and the painting looks great, but they were also extremely good about notifying us of anything that might cause a delay, and interacting with us so that we knew what was going on and how much they were going to get done. The fact that the work was done well, we expected--that communication was the "above and beyond" part. We were very pleased, and will definitely use them again.

I did not receive a response from the company for three days after paying for their Big Deal. I was trying to schedule more than one contractor so I needed to talk to them about scheduling, even though I did not need for the work to be performed immediately. The company didn't respond to an email sent two days after I'd paid for the deal, so I called and the phone message advised that the only way to reach them was through email, which I'd already tried, i.e. they did not offer in their voice message, left during regular business hours, to call me back. They finally did send messages after I'd asked Angie's List for a refund, perhaps because Angie's List had notified them of my complaint. Other Big Deals I've paid for have resulted in immediate contact from the vendor. I'd say that if they want to advertise a service for which the client pays up front, then they need to get in touch with the customer immediately and then respond to emails within 24 hours and to phone messages within a few business hours.

They were prompt in emailing me back, but let me know they did not service my area. Very cordial.

It went well. They were very good. They were very professional.

The company was impossible to get a hold of. Did not answer the phone. They set up service on June 7 and did not show up. They also told me that they would not honor the $169 coupon and would charge me over $400 to power wash the deck. Would not recommend this company.

They were very good and clean. It was really, really neat and clean. They were punctual. They get right to it and they're everything you would expect. They meet your expectations. They did a beautiful job of closing up the holes that you can't even see them. Then they painted and they were here more than one day and they picked up and vacuumed every time they left. I would highly recommend them. They were good on everything and I have no complaints.

I just moved into my new house and needed a handyman for some stuff I'd normally do myself but I didn't have the time or the tools. I'm relieved that Maria and M & D Home Repairs was able to accommodate my hectic schedule. Once we were able to come up with a date Emil came over at 8am right now schedule and immediately started knocking out my list. He did an expert job hanging some inside doors and really went above and beyond in all his work. When the time comes to have my built in bookcase built I'll be calling Maria and requesting Emil again!

It was a difficult job and it took them longer than expected. We scheduled for 2 days but they didn't get to the other project so they will be back in a few weeks. There was a flaw (bubbles) in the paint in the ceiling and they will be back to repair it. They were very careful and cleaned up after themselves. Very professional!

They did a good job power washing my deck. I didn't need to be home for the service which was convenient.

It worked out great. They did an awesome job. I actually had to wait a little longer because they were busy nut it's worth the wait.

Very well- the painters were very professional, efficient and clean up went smoothly. I would hire the firm again even without the coupon price.

Louis and Carlos were amazing. Very professional, kind and courteous. They did an amazing job trying to get a large job done in a short amount of time. My bathroom looks amazing and is ready to paint! I can't believe how much they got done in 8 hours. I will definitely use them again.

These guys were awesome. We used one of the Angie's List coupons for $499 for two painters for a day. The company contacted us the next day to schedule and were extremely responsive prior to coming out. They wanted to know exactly what we wanted them to do (with pictures) so they would be prepared and could get right to work when they arrived. The two painters (Louis and Carlos) showed up the exact minute they were supposed to and got a ton of drywall repair and painting done. They were polite, not even minding the craziness of my kids and the dog laying at their feet while they tried to work. We need more work done and are scheduling them to come back in the next couple of weeks. I would highly recommend these guys.

It went OK but I was disappointed in the end. I think communication was the issue but I'm not sure. At the end of the day, the time and money spent didn't equal the quality I expected. To be fair, the quality was not bad at all, just not what I thought I was paying for. I purchased a coupon for $500 for 16 man hours (2 people for one day). The guys indicated that they could do the work in one day. I somehow took them two full days... they gave me the same rate, but the job ended up being double the cost. The crew was professional, timely, and clean. The work was satisfactory.

Because of a leak in a pipe in my dining room ceiling, I cut and removed a section of the ceiling wall board. M and D Home Repairs replaced the wall board, repaired the affected section of ceiling and painted the whole ceiling. I was very impressed with all aspects of the very professional work on this project. I would like to note in particular the care the painters took to ensure no paint dripped on the walls, rugs or floor, using quite a lot of plastic sheeting on all surfaces of the dining room which were not being painted. They also hung plastic sheets around the area to be repaired to prevent dust from the cutting and installation of the wall board spreading through the room. M and D Home Repairs will be the first I call when I next have a painting/wall board job to do.

They did a great job - the staff was courteous, professional and efficient. They finished the job in less time than I had anticipated, and the work was done very well. I would recommend them and I will hire them again.

We got the paint special which was a great value. Just after we purchased it on a Friday night we got emails over the weekend (which were non-business days for this company) to confirm the package and schedule it. We were impressed with the level of communication. They scheduled us right away which was fantastic because I had a big party that I was planning for the space. The morning of the two workers came EARLY (imagine that - how awesome!) and waited in their car until it got closer to the allotted time. During the day they were fantastic. They took great care to cover and protect the flooring, stairwells, etc and were top notch. Toward the end of the afternoon their supervisor came out to the house to inspect their work and check in with me to make sure I was happy. I was. And the next day I got an email from them again to ask if I was satisfied with the job. This kind of service is unheard of by a company in my experience owning 3 homes in the last 15 years in this area. I wish everyone cared about their customers and their company's reputation. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I originally purchased the $499 voucher from Angie's List for 16 man-hours, but the job entailed multiple days of work with some unforeseen challenges! Ivan was very responsive from the first email I sent, to all phone calls and requests during the process. His work crew was punctual, professional and courteous, with a high level of attention to detail. They were also very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Their attention to detail was also evident at the end of each day when they cleaned up and left the workspace as neat as a pin! Ivan frequently arrived to oversee the progress of the work, and took the initiative to repair several fixtures as needed. It is clear that Ivan and his crew take pride in their work and care about their customers. We will definitely contact M & D for future projects!

The service was fine. They were fine, they did a good job, and they were presentable. The interaction was good. They were punctual, and they got the job done. I did not pay anything additional. There were schedule issue on my part that they accommodated.

The overall work was great. Any problems that were identified were fixed immediately. I would definitely hire them again.

They delivered as promise and exceeded my expectations!

Ivan was fantastic from the start. He personally came to the house and assessed the scope of the job. I had a coupon for part of the work, and he gave me an estimate of the amount of time it would take to do the entire job over and above the coupon. It was a big job, and the interior had not been painted since the mid '90's. The back of the house was also long overdue. I had relatives coming to town in the early Fall, and he committed to having the work done in time for the visit. Ivan did what he said he was going to do, and worked weekends to make it happen. The quality of the work was outstanding. A friend who is an interior designer helped me with colors, and she was concerned about how the lines would be pulled where the ceiling trim meets the walls. No worries there: it was perfect. Carlos and Jose worked with Ivan, and I can't say enough good things about them. They cared about the quality of the job, asked me or consulted with Ivan if they had any questions. The paint job was detailed and involved several colors and different finishes depending on the wall and/or ceiling application. Ivan was right on top of the types of paints, including certain mold resistant applications in the basement. I plan on having Ivan finish the exterior of my house some time this summer, and I just hope he can fit me in! His work is outstanding, and he is in demand. He has an excellent crew, and they aim to please. Most importantly, Ivan, Carlos and Jose listened and responded to what was needed. Very detail oriented. Excellent job. Lastly, Ivan is honest. While his crew was working on the back of the house, I asked him if he could caulk and paint the large exterior mullioned windows on the sides of the family room. He told me it would be time intensive & therefore throwing good money on bad, and I knew he was right. The windows are not thermo paned, and that money is instead going toward new windows (long overdue). You will get honest answers from Ivan.

Everything went great. I was happy with the work.
