He really went above and beyond with the help he provided. He was not able to fully do the job because what I needed specifically was outside of his scope of work but he was able to find an outside resolution for me and I really appreciate everything he did for me.

My AC issue turned out to be a complicated one. I had a leak in the AC line set, but it was very difficult to diagnose. Albert was great in following proper steps and finding the issue. What I liked most about him was that he was very persistent in finding the leak, and logically eliminating the areas that did not have the leak. Albert patiently answered all my questions, and showed me the problems as he found them. I had this issue last year, but few technicians I called did not want to find the leak and solve the problem. Instead, they either recommended making major repairs such as replacing inside coils, or offered bubble-gum fix of adding the refrigerant with a solution that "may" automatically find the leak and plug it from inside. I chose the easier economical option because the technician told me that it works 95% of the time. Well, it lasted one-year, but the problem came back this year. I guess, I was among the unlucky 5% of the people. I have been very frustrated with this issue, and dishonesty in this profession. If you call some of the big names in the area, they cost arm and leg (and possibly an eye) for solving the problem. Many of these big companies also pitched selling new equipment just from listening to my issue on the phone. I didn't have to worry about it with Albert. I took a chance with him, and he came through. He never tried to sell me anything more than what I needed to fix the problem. Every step of the way, he gave me right advice. And with his persistence, he found the issue and fixed it at a very reasonable price. I will definitely hire him again for any future needs.

Albert and his colleague arrived within an hour of my call to address a non-functioning AC. Albert provided quotes to repair the existing system, as well as for two replacement options. The system was 22 years old and had been having problems off and on for several years, so we opted for the mid-level replacement. The install was completed within two days of making the decision to replace and signing the contract. Albert performed a temporary fix to get the system working while we awaited the install, which our family really appreciated. When I told Albert I would wait to make a decision while I got estimates from other companies, he was understanding and there was no pressure. The system is working well, all interactions with the Magna Tech team were highly professional, and both technicians we interacted with were courteous and friendly. Magna Tech will be our heating and cooling choice from now on.

My HVAC was not producing cold air, so I found MagnaTech on Home Advisor. They ran their checks and found it to be 3lbs of Freon low at $199/lb. They also suspected there was a leak in the coil area of the HVAC system, but the technician said that he would would have to tear apart the entire system to conduct the leak check. When I said I am the tenant and won’t pay for that, he said well, I have another way of doing it and it was a metering device he had in his truck. I would have appreciated it if he had given me that option up front, but it wasn’t until I pushed back in the tear down that he offered the other option. I also felt I was overcharged for the R/22 Freon. The landlord had a rep from American Homeshield come out and he said the system was fine. Didn’t even offer to do a leak check but said Freon was $150/lb. They certainly helped me with cooling my system but a little more transparency would be appreciated.

Honest and sincere. Told/showed me what my problem was. Asked me to check with my original installer for warranty. Never pressured to buy additional services. Highly recommended.

Albert, the owner/manager of MAGNA TECH, responded promptly and professionally. He provided initial advice on the phone, and tried to fix my AC system on two occasions before realizing that both the mother board and the compressor were gone. We discussed options and ended up opting for a totally new system. Albert and his team worked on the 4the of July to install the system, and he came back a few days later to check that everything was in order. Albert is knowledgeable, very friendly, and comes across as extremely honest. I highly recommend him and his company.
