Kolb Electric

Good experience. I wanted to have this work done within 2 days, and Kolb was able to support that while other electricians had a 1-2 week lead time. When making the appointment, the staff was friendly and described the work and any potential challenges. Since I was having 2 ceiling fans wired and installed instead of just 1, they cut be a break The electrician was on time and courteous.in price. They also said they'd honor a 10% discount from Angie's List. The ceiling fan installation went smoothly. When having the power outlet installed so I could mount a TV, the electrician ran into some trouble because of the way the studs are in my walls, but he was able to work around the studs without putting additional holes in my wall. Because of the issues with the wall, the outlet install took longer than expected, but it works great. Overall I paid $250 to wire and install each ceiling fan, and about $100 for the electrical outlet install, but with the 10% off from Angie's list my total was under $550 for over 5 hours worth of work. No hidden charges. Would recommend and use them again.

My bathroom light suddenly stopped working - nothing happened when I flipped the switch. I called a couple of other companies to compare estimates but Kolb was the only one who had someone available the following day, which was key with guests coming over for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Kolb's pricing was competitive as well. The technician arrived promptly, was courteous and got right to work. He found that a wire to the bathroom light fixture had come loose and the light switch required replacement. He retrieved what he needed from the truck and completed the job in under 30 minutes. With my Angie's List coupon, the cost was under $100. This was my 2nd time using Kolb and I would not hesitate to call them again.

When I called him he happened to have availability the same day. It was great. His prices were reasonable. He gets A's across the board.

We were happy with them. We had couple of people out and one we weren’t happy with but the other we were happy. Overall they seemed like a reasonable price for the job that was done. They were here when they said they would be.

The job went very well with light restored to the kitchen (the previous fixture had failed), in a short amount of time.

I looked him up on Angie's List. It was not an easy job because it was very heavy and the gentleman who did it was very patient. The experience was good. The price was okay and we thought that it was reasonable.

The electrical circuit breaker in our great room tripped. The technician repaired the light switch which was the source of the short.

Our appointment was scheduled for 7:30 AM and our electrician arrived promptly at 7:30. He installed 4 recessed lights and 2 pendant lights in our kitchen. He was polite, personable and professional. He was done by 12:00 noon. I would definitely use them again and would refer them to anyone. They are A One!

Kolb sent in "Pat" who was on time and very friendly. Kolb called 15 minutes ahead of time which was much appreciated. After explaining the cooktop issue, Pat methodically began troubleshooting and within 15 minutes had determined the problem. After correcting that problem, he went on to troubleshoot and fix the other two. All our electrical problems were fixed. We couldn't be more happy and will always call upon Pat at Kolb in the future for any electrical issues.

We were exceptionally pleased with the price and quality of service provided by Kolb Electric. The estimator came out within a few days to provide us with an estimate. The work was scheduled at my convenience and completed in one morning. The work was done quickly and professionally. The installer was very neat--placing coverings over the floor and cleaning up thoroughly when finished.

I called Kolb Tuesday 10/18 and was set up for an appointment the next day. They called me 30 min before arrival. The technician came in and replaced the alarm. He was very pleasant. It was a great experience from the initial phone call and the work completion. I would not hesitate to call them again.Thanks Angie List!!!!

They showed up, did exactly what I wanted them to do, provided a quote for additional work, and left. Everything works well and they were very efficient. They cleaned up well and explained everything. The tech was very nice and I didnt have any issues with them.

I scheduled an appointment with Kolb. They were very prompt and came the same day. The Kolb electrician arrived on time and tried to identify the problem, unsuccessfully. The electrician suggested that we probably needed to pull a new wire, which would involve cutting into the walls and ceiling since the path from the dishwasher to the distribution panel was not easily accessible. I asked about other options. He said that he had a tracing device, but it wasn't always very accurate, and that he did not have one on the truck. I asked for estimates for each approach to solve the problem. I never received a call back or the estimates. I called another electrician who located the problem in 20 minutes and fixed the problem at a fraction of Kolb's hourly rate. The previous electrical work and the dishwasher circuit problem were unrelated.

Overall fine except the problem was not resolved.

They were great. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Kolbe sent someone out the same day I called. The electrician arrived on time. It took him a while to diagnose the problem with the breaker tripping, but the solution of putting the outside fixtures on a seperate breaker seems to be working. He said we may need to replace the GFI breaker that they were on before (and that the bathrooms are still on) but only if it continues to trip. The electrician was courteous and professional. The entire job took about two and a half hours and we were satisfied with the work. The pricing was easy to understand and the bill accurately reflected the time spent on the job.

He is local. I have used him for years. I don't remember how much I spent. My tenants made the appointment to their time frame and I paid it by credit card. I haven't got the bill yet. It was something clearly that needed attention being electrical. Their prices are reasonable. They are not exorbitant. I don't even know what a home call costs now. I think the home service call is deducted from the total bill after they add back in the cost for the service and the parts. I think the price was under $200.00. They told me what it was when I paid the amount, but I can't remember. It went very well overall. I wouldn't be with them if they didn't give good service. The price was within the range that I expected. They were very responsive.

Arranged for a small job adding an electrical outlet and made an appointment with a 4 hour window, 12-4pm, on a Friday. 2 1/2 hours before the window, around 9:30am, they called home (I was at work) and left a message asking if they could send someone over early, they had someone in the area. I got the message, called back in an attempt to let them know I couldnt do that, was put on hold for 3 or 4 minutes, and hung up. Came home for the scheduled appointment, unhooked the conections to the TV, took the 50" TV off the wall and waited. I called their office around 3:30 to make sure everything was ok, and they said someone would be there within 45 minutes. Got a call at 4pm asking specifics about the job (how far away the closest outlet was, etc., none of which was asked when the job was scheduled) because they were "looking for someone in the area" to do it, noting that it was late (no mention that they were the ones running late), that their electrician's had "lives after work", and that after 4 they normally charged emergency rates. Said they'd call back in 10-15 minutes with an update. No call, so I called their office 20 minutes later and cancelled.

They did a good job. It was a simple job and they were quick and efficient. They gave me a quote by just coming and seeing it, but then they just did the job. I think I spent $150 on that work and I was very satisfied with them. I would tell others that they did a good job and the price seemed okay. They came out exactly when they said they would and I did not have to wait long. They made that appointment within an hour and completed the job in 15 minutes.
