Everything went exactly as planned. The Angies discount was a nice bonus. Plus they installed a used set-back thermostat from my own house which also helped to my in-laws cost down.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal. The company was wonderful but after further discussion they weren't the appropriate company for the job. I am requesting a refund.

Description of Work: Installed a new furnace/airconditioner along with a heat pump for a second zone in the house. Replaced the original equipment which was 20 years old. Also installed a new hot water heater. They were very well organized, started on time and finished on time and on budget. Crew was very easy to deal with and to have around. Cleaned up work areas daily and final clean up was very good. We were very pleased with their services and the comfort level in the house is much improved over the old systems. Would certainly recommend them to others.

Description of Work: The company sent a technician to evaluate my old, 15-year-old air conditioning system, which had stopped cooling for the third time. We discussed replacement and the pros and cons of various systems. Within a couple of days, an employee arrived on time to measure the space for the furnace to be sure there was sufficient room and told me what needed to be moved to make room for the installation. Five days later, the guys arrived to do the installation, and one of the individuals was at my home at 7 AM, as they said he would be. The other individual was delayed a bit, having to pick up the units, and arrived about two hours or so later. Tarps were laid down from the furnace area, in the basement, up the stairs and to the back door. The guys were very professional, polite and tidy. They worked constantly from 7 AM until 4:30 PM. I was shown the various features of the unit - how to change the filter and clean out the trap in the condensation pipe. I was also told about registering the product online and encouraged to do so immediately. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend these folks. I do have to say that I was fortunate to have had this occur when we had a period of unusually cool, spring weather, so I had no problem with the fact that it took a week for this work to be accomplished. I cannot speak to whether their prices are competitive - I was under time constraints in terms of getting this job done, so did not shop around - or whether it is typical for scheduling such a job to take a week. I would speculate that it probably is.

Description of Work: They installed my new furnace. Now my home is nice and cool. I like the way Nugent and Sons mounted the furnace on what I call stands or little feet. This is the best company! In 2014 they installed my air conditioner. Nugent and Sons is a first class company!

Description of Work: Conducted seasonal A/C check. Determined that outside unit needed professional cleaning -the screening around the motor was close to clogged post-winter, etc. Also replaced gaskets on tubing into unit as oil might leak. Wished it didn't cost so much -but I trust the company and know it's respected by others.

Description of Work: Replacement of gas valve on water heater. Very punctual and friendly. They actually had to make three trips on separate days because a part has been improperly installed by a previous contractor's improper repair. No problems at all with the repair. They did a great job. The only thing I will mention is that the price seems kind of high. I can buy the part on the Internet for less than $100 so given the the repairman was at our house a total of about 2 1/2 hours max, that over 200 an hour, which seemed high, at least to me.

Description of Work: A routine fall tuneup to a fully functioning furnace cost 1200 in parts and labor. The day after the work was completed, water spilled from the boiler. This was corrected the next day, but the following day, the furnace was providing no heat. I called another H/AC contractor, who fixed the furnace. |ac

They were prompt, courteous, professional, and expert craftsmen. Juan, our foreman, is an expert journeyman heating and A/C professional. The work couldn't have gone better.

Description of Work: Total system replacement. They installed a new Carrier gas furnace, air conditioner, air handler, humidifier, large filter, and UV light. They also replaced my gas water heater. The estimator was very friendly and knowledgable. He gave me a realistic estimate, and did not try to oversell equipment I did not need. The shop foreman came to do the exact measurements and designed a new central stack to fit the space available. The install team was very professional, very efficient and cleaned up upon completion. Great company - definitely plan to use them for any future service needs.
