It was easy to get an appointment. The electrician arrived on time, was friendly, competent and efficient. He replaced a very old fluorescent light fixture in my laundry room. He took the time to explain about the difference between fluorescent and LED lights. He cleaned everything up. I would highly recommend this company.

Jason called ahead to let me know that he would be arriving within the next 30 minutes which he did. He quickly went to work and was able to identify the problem right away. He was professional and courteous. I felt confident about his work and ended up signing up for a maintenance plan. There was no sales pressure, which I like. He did a great job and was a good representative for the company.

Wonderful! I knew the AC unit was near its natural end anyway, so I was happy when Jason walked me through the buying process. He was great! Service cost waived upon purchase of new unit. Also, thanks to the other techs that came in the past, and kept my AC unit limping through the summer. I opted to keep the furnace limping along, but I am sure John Nugent will be the one to replace it in the immediate future. I also like the plumbing side of John Nugent - do you guys keep track of the customer's complete portfolio of money spent (plumbing AND AC/Heating) ? The plumbing costs seem a little high, but the process is fast, professional and well done.

At the end of the second hot day of the year, our condenser gave up. We called around for appointments and after maybe 5 calls, John Nugent was the first with an available timeslot. It was a 4 hour window, same day request, but technician Jason Yim was here within 45 minutes of the front end of the window. I had assumed it would be the tail end, given our late call at a busy time for all providers. Jason was nice, helpful, informative, and answered all of my questions. Jason quickly found it was a blown fuse, but took the extra steps to try to figure out WHY the fuse blew. He made a few suggestions which we will follow up on with this company.

My HVAC stopped working and John Nugent was able to accommodate my schedule and put me on as the last appointment that same day. I am sure Jason had to sit in traffic to reach my location at that time of day, and I am also sure it was not ideal to have the last appointment of the day turn into a somewhat involved repair. But he was very friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it, and even spent the extra time to clean the system despite extending his day even more. I really appreciate Jason and John Nugent's efforts, I will continue to call them whenever I have an issue. Thank you.

Jason Yim was great. He was a little early and took care of our systems and made sure it was working great and explained the maintenance that I needed to perform to keep the systems running well. We have used John Nugent & Sons for installation and servicing of our HVAC and couldn't be happier. And, Jason has always been professional and helpful when we have needed them to come to the house.

Mike Kroner and an associate arrived on time and were friendly and professional. I knew I would need a new humidifier and Mike thoroughly explained my options and his recommendation. The price for the system and labor was more than fair. R.J. showed up on time for installation, and thankfully spent time with me going over the system. All in all a company I will call again.

They were able to send someone out the same day, within an hour, to diagnose my ailing water heater (it was a Friday afternoon and many other companies I contacted couldn't come out until Monday). Ben was patient and thorough and explained everything to me in terms I could understand. When it looked like a replacement was inevitable, he spent time on the phone with my home warranty company to explain the situation so that I would be eligible for partial reimbursement. He also scheduled the replacement for the next morning (Saturday) at 8 a.m., called when he was on his way, showed up on time, and worked efficiently to make sure I had hot water by that afternoon. I would not hesitate to use this company again for any plumbing/electrical/HVAC issues I might have in the future. This was the smoothest experience I have had with a service company, ever.

Overall, these guys were great. Carrier products and a good installation team. They were responsive, punctual and professional. We needed to replace our entire system for our home - it broke unexpectedly and we were in a crunch due to the cold weather - they were quick and did not try to up-sell us, even though we wanted to consider. The system is only a month old and we shall see ... expect them to stand behind their work. A good small local family business.

Had four different interactions over the course of about two months and was impressed. It's rare to find this type of professionalism these days. I purchased a coupon for a furnace tune-up. While they did not identify an issue at the tune-up, my furnace stopped working a couple of days later. They dispatched someone to check it out without charge (since it wasn't detected at the tune-up), but he was unable to find an issue (even though I told him the diagnostic code that was showing up on the unit). The unit failed again when I got back from vacation, and I was particularly impressed with Bladimir, who came out on a Sunday and was very responsive and honest. He determined I needed a new pressure switch, which was ordered and installed a few days later.

During a very cold couple of weeks we cracked a pipe which resulted in some other heating issues. We needed to replace our very old furnace. Nugent and Sons genuinely cared about our ability to stay warm and did everything they could to get our system up and running again. I would hire them again.

Jason Yim, from John Nugent and Sons, showed up in a timely manner. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. He provided education to prevent the system from overheating again. He was very respectful during the visit and I would definitely call him and John Nugent and Sons again for any heating needs.

The electrician was able to fix the lightswitch. The part of the bill that was absolutely ludicrous. $68 for a lightswitch cover. A <1$ lightswitch cover. The hourly rate for the service wasn't great either.

We were very pleased with the service. They were able to come out on short notice, quickly assess what issue we were having with the old furnace, and replace the old furnace with a new one. The new one was installed within two days. When the county inspector came out to do the standard follow-up inspection, he noted that they had done an excellent job, but he pointed out that an electrical line was touching a hot vent. When I informed the company, they sent someone the next day who did a great job at moving and clamping the line to a safer spot. This was not easy to do. I also noted that during the installation, they had accidentally nicked a part of our drywall and it began peeling. They were receptive to the issue, and sent another person, who quickly took care of the problem. All of their staff was friendly and efficient. A pleasure to work with.

Chris was extremely kind, conscientious, and professional. He checked all electrical systems in the house, including the generator and especially the circuit breaker board, and he made excellent suggestions.

John Nugent & Son's installed a new Carrier Performance Series heat pump replacing our 20 year old RUUD heat pump. The three guys that showed up (Mike, Isaac, and Sergio) to do the job showed up early. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. It took them about 8 hours to complete the removal and install. The new unit looks wonderful and is much more efficient than the old one. I love the new Honeywell WiFi thermostat. It was extremely easy to setup and program. My wife and I are very satisfied with it and the guys did a great job.

The plumber showed up right on schedule and quickly determined there were no leaks in any systems (hot water heater, pipes, etc.). He found the excess water was due to a clogged filter in the humidifier that simply required changing the filter. We have used Nugent and Sons in the past which was why we called them. They were very responsive to set up an appointment as quickly as possible. We definitely recommend them for plumbing problems.

The oil company had long call time delays, and couldn't send a technician until the next evening at the earliest. Nugent and Sons answered promptly and we had someone onsite two hours later. He had to replace the controller box, which required adapting a current-model controller to our older unit. He took care of the problem and got the heat cranked back up within an hour. We've used Nugent & Sons for plumbing and electrical, as well as heating, and have always found them to be prompt and very helpful.

Great. New system is excellent, and the team worked around some physical limitations/geometry to result in a well designed system.

During this recent extreme cold snap, our heater could not reach the temp we asked, via a Nest thermostat. But we weren't without heat. Called and made a same day appointment. There were a lot of customers without heat and servicing those ahead of us made our originally scheduled 12-4pm appointment window impossible--however, we were kept apprised of the tech's timeline and given the option to still have him come out. And even though it was well past 8:00 pm by the time he got here, he identified the problem and fixed it quickly. The tech was knowledgeable, friendly/polite, and professional. We are grateful we weren't just pushed off to the next day! We of course don't wish for another HVAC problem to arise anytime soon :). But when it does happen, at least we know who we'll go to first. Thank you.

All tasks performed in the highest professional manner. When done, all work sites were left clean.
