Overall the project came out beautifully. Once again the Holloway team worked with me to ensure I got the results I expected and by the dates we specified. Dave had quoted a two-day project, but having worked with Holloway before I was aware that this does not mean consecutive days. They parse out the tasks and it ended up taking six days. However, they worked to meet my deadline and I greatly appreciate that. The new walkway has a gentle slope down to the drive way that ends right where a car door would open. It makes much more sense now and looks great. The stairs were refaced with matching flag stone and they used natural stone on the on the risers that really matches well with my brick front home. The electrician arranged for the electrical permits and installed the pole and lighting that I provided. Everything passed inspection without any problems. I couldn't be happier and love all the positive comments I am getting from the neighbors.

An estimate was requested and an appointment was set one week later. The company representative arrived on time and spent 30 minutes planning out a deck and patio for the backyard. Measurements were taken and the homeowner provided detail requirements for the deck and patio. The representative told the homeowner he would have a wriiten estimate within ten days to 12 days. The homeowner called after two weeks had past, to remind an estimate was never sent. Upon several messages left with the companies receptionist two weeks later (a total of four weeks after the initial meeting) an estimate was sent. The requirements were not to the specifics that were requested and the price was very high. The overall experience was disappointing, due to the length of the time it took for an estimate and the price seemed way too much for the work. I would not recommend this company and the homeowner found this company from Angie's List.

Overall, the project turned out beautifully. Everything that was discussed was done to my satisfaction. Going to their design center, to see the products that they use was a definite plus. The initial consultation with Dave was very informative and he represents the company well. He worked with me to finds ways to stay within my budget and had excellent ideas and customer service. I spoke with several other Holloway staff to get the HOA application approved and the Miss Utilities scheduled. They were all great! The project management was mostly done by Rob, but both Dave and Rob took turns responding to any questions I had, and I really appreciated that. While I was told that the project would take about 10 days to complete, I now understand that they are not consecutive workdays, because of delays obtaining the correct product and coordinating workers schedules for the various jobs. The yard was pretty jacked-up for almost 3 weeks, two crews were in and out working on the patio and the landing stairs. However, in the end they did a great cleanup, spread new grass over all the areas where they trailed through the yard, around the new patio, and drain trenches. So, now after two weeks since the completion of the project, my yard is looking pretty good. I think having patience, asking questions, and talking with the actual workers helped me get exactly what I wanted. I plan to have Holloway replace my front walkway in the fall. They do great hardscaping and are really willing to work with you to achieve a great outcome.

I highly recommend the Holloway Company if you are looking for an artistic and imaginative hardscape or deck. Ted Holloway worked closely with us to design a unique deck that went beyond the normal rectangle. He added many interesting visual elements, such as a broad curve on the deck, color changes, and dramatic lighting. The same was true for his patio design, which is very pleasing to look at. Holloway takes care of all of the paperwork, working with the county and the homeowner's association to provide all of the needed paperwork. The installation of both the deck and the patio went as promised, and Ted's crew accommodated small changes in design. The price was on the expensive side, but we we did not want a boring deck, and the value was high. Ted and his company made sure we were happy with installation, and has returned six months after installation to fix minor issues with the lighting. I would highly recommend if you want a dramatic and different deck or patio.

We were very pleased with the guy they sent out. They have a great reputation.

The workman came out and provided me with an estimate for my project. He was not as put together as others that I have seen. He provided me with a map to see the models that they have set up. He provided me a map to get to their location, the map was incorrect when I arrived there was nothing there. I decided to go with a different company for the project as a result of this.

I received a quote with all the projects individually priced because I wanted to do the project in phases. When I wanted to start the work, I selected one particular project with the price that I was quoted. I called to schedule the project and was told how much I needed for the deposit and was put on their schedule. A few minutes later, I received a call and was told that if I wanted to do that individual project, it would be an additional $1000. They indicated it was a "package deal". I indicated that I requested everything be priced individually so I could do the work in phases. They stated that they couldn't do the work for the amount they quoted and it would be an additional cost if I wanted to do the projects individually. I was upfront with them from the beginning and told them I was planning on doing the projects one at a time and that is why I wanted everything broken out. I don't understand how you can provide a quote and then change the prices. This is not the way to run a business. I did not use this company.

Everything was great, but I didn't choose them. They were on time and professional. The estimate was about $25000. I would consider them for another quote in the future.

We interviewed them and two other companies. We ended up going with another company. We had some details that we discussed that they didn't include in their final contract proposal. They said they were going to make changes and get back to us. When they got back to us, they didn't include some of those details at all. They showed us some of their decks, and they seemed to do good quality construction. However, we wanted them to get the details right.

They did a good job and had good work ethic. We were just pleased with the whole thing. They were very professional and were always there in a timely fashion when we made appointments with them. They took into account our questions and suggestions and altered things right on the spot when I didn?t like the way it was looking.

This is probably the best contractor we have ever worked with. Almost 4 years ago we called for an estimate on a walkway and some stone walls. Their prices were in line with the other estimates, but what sold us was the people. It's a pretty small, family-owned company, but each person is competent, knowledgeable, pleasant and sincerely devoted to doing a great job and making sure you're happy - from the owner, to the designer/sales reps, to the office staff, to the work crews. They immediately return phone calls, show up when they say they will, follow up, and stand behind their work. We have had them back to do more stacked stone walls. Then we had them face our concrete porch/stoop with pavers and build a small paver patio. Then we had them do a retaining wall, a french drain, dry creek bed and plant some very large trees. We also had them do mulching/maintenance. This month we had them replace our fence and build a decorative retaining/seating wall extending from the patio. We've probably spent between $30k and $35k over the 4 years on all the projects. Any time we have had a problem or even a picky little change, they are right on it, making sure we're happy. We had a small part of our raised walkway sink a little because of settling, and even after 3 1/2 years, they repaired it for free. These are good people. I wish all contractors were like this.

I researched (and met with) multiple companies that do this type of work and Holloway was the clear leader. They performed the service on time and within budget. They also returned about a month later to provide extra grass treatment for areas that were damaged during construction of the patio. Overall, my family is very happy with the patio and would certainly recommend Holloway over the competition.

They were very good. They were very responsive. I did not have them do that work, I chose another company. They were very informative, very helpful, and gave a lot of information. I just decided to go with someone different. I haven't had the work done yet.

They are really good, and I enjoyed working with them. I had few issues but they worked on them so that I was happy.

It went very well they build our patio according to the discussions we had and to the proposal they presented.

He was very nice and helpful. Everything was fine. We didn?t use him because of the price. It was more money than we wanted to spend on the project. So, we didn?t do the project. There wasn?t anything negative about him. He was very professional. We will consider using him in the future.

The project went very well. Office personnel were very responsive and easy to get in touch with. Holloway's owner, Ted, arrived on time for our appointment and had wonderful ideas for our project. We interviewed several companies for the job, but Ted's design and project knowledge were far superior to other companies. The project was started and completed on time. Any issues that arose during the project were handled quickly. Office personnel were very helpful with the furniture and fabric selections. Great communication on all levels throughout the project. We are very pleased with the finished product and have received many compliments on it, including some from other contractors. We will definitely use Holloway Company for future projects.

I will call him when we get a plan from the structural engineer.

They were great and responded quickly. They keep you informed. They let you know the progress on a day to day basis. Their prices were great and I would highly recommend them to my family.
