HEMAX Construction Services and Landscaping provided excellent customer service, pricing, and final results. Per a neighbor’s recommendation, we reached out to HEMAX for a quote. HEMAX offered a reasonable proposal for clearing several above ground stumps and the overgrown vegetation’s underground roots, scraping and regrading the sloped topography to flatten but maintain proper drainage, and installing new fescue sodding of our large side yard. Despite a couple customer increased-scope change orders, the project manager, Henry, patiently and expeditiously provided expert advice for accomplishing the desired result and submitted reasonable invoice updates. Once the 2-day project began, Henry, the work crew, and required equipment started on time every day, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up at the end of the day’s work. The company exceeded our expectations in the quality of the final project, the thoroughness of the crew from beginning to clean up, and their professionalism in communicating and scheduling. We will absolutely call them first for any future projects.

I can’t say enough good things about HEMAX. As we were preparing to sell our house, we discovered some cracks in our foundation. HEMAX came in and did an amazing job repairing it and reinforcing it and did it very quickly because they know we wanted to get the house on the market. It involved a lot of craftsmen and the quality was superb. Max and Henry are very responsive and courteous and we decided to add a few more tasks to the project while they were on site. Plus, they are installing a sprinkler system and patio at our new house. Their quotes for these two projects were below two others that we got so I know it’s a good value for work that is done really well.

HEMAX replaced my front walkway and front stoop and added a stacked stone border around hedges. The work is excellent, the workmen were courteous and professional and the final result is beautiful. I am very pleased with how my home looks! HEMAX did a fabulous job!

I used this company for landscape design and installation. Overall the Project Manager (Nancy) was responsive. However, the design wasn't very attractive, especially when it came to using flowers and not bushes. I had to request several replacements for plants that were just not doing well, but they were fairly responsive, although the replacements were incomplete. I also had them build 2 small raised beds and fill with soil. The soil provided was extremely poor quality - it was essentially fill. I guess they label it topsoil, but you cannot grow vegetables in that - and they charge a fairly high price for what is essentially useless fill, so I would not bother. I've had several landscape installations at prior properties with other companies and this was by far the most disappointing from a quality of plants and overall design point of view. They may do a great job at hardscaping, but I would look elsewhere for landscaping design and installation.
