Granite, Granite, Granite provided me an exceptionally quick estimate and worked closely with the Stone warehouse to get me a rock bottom price with fantastic service. Their install team was fast and did a great job. We couldn't even tell they had been there after they left except for the great new countertops!

He did an excellent job. We loved the quality of his work and the speed at which he got it done. We had gone to his studio. He is an incredible craftsman and we loved working with him. He also brought in a plumber that we liked. The price was a little bit high, but he was better than any of the others that we had seen. He was just great.
Description of Work: We used Granite Granite Granite to install all new granite kitchen counters. The work included installation of a sink among other things.

Fantastic! Super fast turnaround...fantastic customer service...and great customer service. He was able to install my fireplace in two days and he had no problem waiting until my bar was finished to return and do that work! I cannot tell if the price was good because we were in a hurry and did not bother to get other estimates. What Mark offered us was worth the price!

Mark was extremely responsive and punctual from the time he came out to give me his estimate until the job was completely finished. Once he and Earl took the measurements and made a template they said they would be able to come back the following week to do the installation. My husband and I were amazed at what a beautiful job was done in a short period of time. Only 6 hours elapsed from the time Mark and his team arrived until they were finished.
Description of Work: Removed my tile countertops and fabricated and installed granite countertops for my kitchen. [A new sink and faucet were included in the price] Had affiliate plumber remove my old dishwasher [he made a separate trip to do this] and, after the counters were finished, the plumber connected my dishwasher, garbage disposal and faucet. Mark's assistant Earl fabricated trim which was a perfect match for my cabinets . {above price includes plumber services and trim work]

Let me begin by saying that I contacted a total of 7 granite fabricators about doing this job. I emailed and/or left voicemail messages telling them exactly what I needed done. Granite Granite Granite was the only company to respond. At all. I stopped by the shop in Sterling intending to leave the piece and pick it up at a later date. To my surprise, Mark offered to do the job right then. He is a perfectionist (as am I) and obviously loves his craft. While it turned out to be more than I had initially hoped to pay for the work, the job he did was so good and the piece fits perfectly in its assigned area. I consider it the perfect investment! You will never meet a nicer guy than Mark. He is definitely my go-to guy for granite needs in the future. Thanks Mark!
Description of Work: I had a 2' square piece of scrap Uba Tuba granite that I needed cut down. Mark cut it to the requested size, repaired a couple dings in the edge and cleaned the 2 raw edges with color enhancer.

We chose a beautiful Norwegian stone and they cut the countertops we needed for two bathrooms from the areas we indicated. They cut and installed it on time, leaving both rooms clean and neat. Great people to work with and they have a good selection of fine stone at reasonable prices.

Outstanding! We had several estimates - but clearly we should have started with GGG. Mark came - gave us a detailed estimate and made recommendations. He is very professional and understated - no high pressure tactics with him. He gives a great quote and an honest assessment of what it will take to do the job. He knows the materials and what you would or would not want to select for the job. He brought large samples of material to look at to assist in making decisions. He went with us to select the material. We met with Mark on Saturday of Labor Day weekend at around 1PM. When the first store that he wanted use was closed, we went to another marble warehouse. The countertops and sink were installed on Monday - yes just two days later! Wow! I have already recommended him to two work colleagues. We did our own plumbing - but if you don't have those skills he will hook you up with a plumber. Mark is really a craftsman who stands by his work. When we found a tiny rough spot he came out the day we called - a Sunday - and buffed it out. I will always recommend him.

We went to a lot of granite businesses; I mean at least 10. We met Mark at his showroom/fabrication shop where he showed us some samples of granite along with a large globe he made from scraps. He told us what we should look for in granite and what to stay away from since it would stain easily. Then he took us to one of the places he uses to get granite slabs so we could look around. Instead of just looking at 15 or 20 different types of granite, there were many more to choose from. Even though a company says they have 150 slabs of granite, they mean 150 total which could be only 15 types. We actually visited all 3 distributors he uses before finding the perfect granite, but it was worth it. We finally found a granite we fell in love with and asked Mark for a price quote. He provided the sink and had a faucet, but we preferred to get our own. He made arrangements for the plumber who was there before they were even finished installing the counters. Mark and his team were professional, polite, courteous, prompt and everything else you could hope for in a home improvement specialist. Our counters are beautiful. The work they did was beautiful. We're planning on replacing the counters in the bathrooms eventually, and Mark will be the only granite person we need to call. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again or to recommend him to a friend. I almost forgot. About a week after our installation, I went out the front door of our house and found a beautiful lazy Susan. We were out for the day so Mark must have dropped it off while we were gone. Since he had a little bit extra leftover from our install, he made it for us. What a nice and unexpected surprise that was. This is the kind of service we got from Mark. He thinks of everything.

We were impressed with GGG from the time we visited their shop - by a combination of obvious expertise and craftsmanship and a complete lack of high pressure salesmanship. Quality of work was excellent, crew were professional and polite. Installation went without problems and in a reasonable time frame. Prices were good (in line with or a little below other prices I had seen). Mark (GGG owner) was onsite for the whole install. Overall we are very happy with our decision.
Description of Work: Removed counter top in kitchen, replaced with granite. Provided and installed new undermount sink and faucet. Installed granite counter top on sink base in laundry room (I provided undermount sink and faucet there. GGG do not do plumbing themselves , but (with my approval) arranged for a plumber to come in and connect faucet and sink drain after they had installed the countertops, sink & faucet

I was very happy with GGG. From the beginning, their office manager Stacey was very responsive over email and answered all of my questions. The owner, Mark, is also a really nice guy and was very accomodating. I had my new sink shipped directly to their warehouse, so once I picked out my slab (emerald pearl), they were ready to install that same week. Mark spent approximately 3 hours installing the counters with his assistant, and I was very happy with the job they did. Mark also arranged for a plumber to arrive when they were finished to hook up the sink. The plumber charged $180, and he also hooked up a new garbage disposal for me, so I was happy with the price. He was a nice guy, so I might use him again in the future as well. As for price, I thought it was a very good deal. I only got one other estime, but that vendor wanted about $1000 more than GGG. Perhaps there is someone else cheaper out there, but for the price Mark quoted me, it wasn't worth my time to look further. Bottom line is that I will use Mark if/when I put new granite countertops on my bathroom vanties, and I would have no hesitation recommending Mark to friends/family.

Excellent in every respect. One of the best experiences we have had with a home improvement business in the Washington, DC area. GGG is a small family business owned by Mark, who measures and installs the granite countertop personally. Daughter Stacey takes orders and schedules appointment. Though our home is more than 50 miles from their business requiring a long commute on the Washington beltway from VA to PG county MD, Mark gladly accepted our business. He came promptly to take the measurements and gave excellent advice on the selection and installation of our granite countertop. The installation was expected to take two trips, but the job took little longer than Mark had expected so he had to come a 3rd time. He was very apologetic for the inconvenience. He made a special trip on the Mother's day to finish the job and then went to see his mother. Mark has a very pleasant demeanor, does an excellent job, and is a very conscientious. The price we got was quite reasonable compared to one other business on the Angie's list that we checked. We highly recommend this business. Please note that the price they quote doesn't include the removal and installation of faucet and garbage disposer. Mark arranged the plumber who charged us $180 extra.

I shopped around for granite countertops for at least 3 months before going with Mark at GGG. He was right on time for the estimate (on a saturday) and right on time for the install. The cost stayed in-line with the estimate and we had no surprises. He had a few though. We have an old townhome so the walls were a little off and Mark had to make some cuts to make the granite fit. No problem at all - he knows his trade very well. He does all the work and estimates himself and it's obvious that he loves his job. That's who you want when upgrading your home. GGG is a solid and honest company that you'll use again. I know I will. I'll also recommend him to all of my friends and colleagues.

GGG is an absolutely excellent company. Extremely friendly people and very willing to work with crazy schedules. We initially went to them on the advise of the company where found the granite we wanted and upon a partial payment GGG picked up the granite and held it at their shop for later installation. Low and behold our baby arrived several months premature just before we were supposed to get the kitchen remodeled. GGG said no problem, they would hold the slab and wait until we were ready. It took us almost 2 months before our lives were back in order ready to get back to our kitchen remodel; GGG was out to our house within days, job completed! They even brought a little present for our baby! The counter looks fantastic & exactly what we wanted, worth every penny and highly recommended. A++

I requested a turnkey quote from Granite, Granite, Granite as I did not want to deal with multiple companies blaming the other companies if something went wrong. Granite stopped by and took measurements and then told me that he would send his electrician over to estimate the rest of the work. Anyway, Granite, Granite called me back and advised me that the electrical quote was $4,200!!!!! Imagine that being able to give a quote to a customer to install two new dedicated electrical lines (and other misc work) without even stopping by the house to see if they have to run wire through two or three floors, open ceiling holes at 3 or 13 locations, let along getting into the circuit box. Pretty amazing feat. After that fiasco, I requested that they send another person to estimate because their primary one had priced them out of a job. I met the secondary electrician at my house and he did a thororgh job of evaluating the work and advised me that he would send me the estimate the following evening (thursday night). Nothing received Thursday night as I was promised (I don't misinterpret when the quote is going to be delivered when I'm at the point of signing a contract to wrap up this adventure. Bottomline, Granite, Granite NEVER got anything to me and subsequently I told them that they had been removed from my list of candidates. The might do great work, but due to their own shortcomings they never got an opportunity to prove it.

We gave you a quote for the work we do for granite countertops which is what we do only. We do not offer electrical work or many of the things you listed/requested you wanted done on your kitchen project and you were told that. We specialize in granite counters, not other kitchen work. However, you wanted all the work on your kitchen to be done all at once along with the granite work. We tried to accomodate your requests after giving you our estimate first on everything we do. We told you we could do the granite work for you right away and you could use someone else you selected for the other work if you wanted. We said we could try to contact another company and contractor for you to see if we could get quotes on the other work for you if you wanted and you said you did. We don't normally do that for customers since we prefer not to work with other companies/contractors on jobs and this is a prime example why. We don't want the downfalls of another company/contractor to reflect negatively on us. The owner made an exception for you and took time to contact the other company/contractor several times to bid on the detailed information you provided. The other company and contractor have used us to do granite work for their customers many times in the past. That is why we contacted them for you. You were in a hurry for a quote for the other work so the first company based their initial quote on the information you provided to us as they were unable to get to you sooner. When you said that they were simply too high, Mark contacted another contractor for you to see if he could come out to your home and do the work for any less. We gave you the other contractors name and direct number because the number you supplied to us said it was disconnected when the contractor tried to call you himself. Whatever happened between you and that contractor was between you and him. We were not there. The contractor said he told you he was going to get back with you on an estimate by the end of the week when the owner contacted him again about your estimate. There was obviously some miscommunication between you and that contractor. You got mad at that contractor for not giving you the estimate the following day he was at your house and told us because of him you weren't going to use our company now. All we did was offer to contact a company/contractor for you that we knew did that type of work and we had worked with before. It's ashame you blame us for your unhappiness with another contractor as if we did something wrong. We did our part, which was give you a granite estimate based on what we could do for you.

When I called Mark for the first time I was close to the granite showroom Mark uses. He met me there and, due to the size of one of my countertops, we quickly decided on a granite. Within a few days he came to my house and measured very carefully - the measuring easily took an hour. We set an appointment and on the appointed day, on time, Mark arrived with his team and installed the granite. To be honest, one of the sections was cut incorrectly, too short. To his credit Mark went back to the showroom, purchased another slab of granite and cut another section for me. All in the same afternoon. He never once quibbled about doing the right thing - Mark was happy and cheerful the whole time. In addition, although he did not do the plumbing for the sink faucet he has a plumber that he uses. I called the plumber, while Mark was still there, and the plumber, who happened to be down the road came the same day. We loved our granite and he has been one of the easiest contractors I have ever worked with. I will definitely use Granite Granite Granite again. If I could rate him higher than an A I would.

I chose this company from the good ratings on Angies List. The person (who I believe is the owner of the company) responded prompty to my request for an estimate. Once I paid the agreed down payment he obtainerd the granite I had chosen and proceeded with the installation in a prompt manner. I had to purchase a sink and a faucet. I have no knowledge about such things and found it necessary to consult with the granite company several times. I found the owner (worker) helpful. He arrived on the appointed day with two other workers. I was not happy with the finished project for 3 reasons. I made it very clear to the owner that I wanted to install a ceramic backsplash. The owner encouraged me to purchase a granite backsplash in spite of this. He said it would look better and be better for the integrity of the granite. When I brought in other people for an estimate for the ceramic backsplash they all told me it was an error to have installed a granite backsplash if I wanted a ceramic backsplash. The granite backsplash is aproximately 4-6 inches. That is 4-6 inches less for a ceramic backsplash causing me to use smaller ceramic tiles. The ceramic people said it just would have looked better without the granite backsplash. I was told it was easier for the granite people to have the granite backsplash because that way they did not have to woryy about gaps between the wall and granite. The second and more serious problem is the seams. The seams were filled with a clear epoxy that dried looking white. The seams are wide and it was like soft putty---and they never hardened. I have since been told that the wrong item was used on the seams. I called the owner and complained and reluctantly he came over. He worked on the seams for awhile--thinning them out but kept asking me "is this better". It was better but I still was not happy but finally just told him it was OK. In fact, I have recently hired someone who said he would try to fix the problem. Also where the seam is one can see that there is approx a 1/16 difference in the level of the 2 pieces of granite. The third problem is that the edges of the granite--the bullnose edge and edge of the backsplash were not polished. Therefore the edges in comparison to the rest of the granite look "dusty". Needless to say I am not happy with the work. The price I paid was the same as my other estimates yet in my opinion the work done was not good.

We are certainly sorry to hear you were not happy with your countertops. We always strive to make sure our customers are pleased with their counters as it shows from our other customer reports and also winning the Super Service Award with Angie’s List for the past 3 years. We tried to make sure you were happy as well. We feel this was an unfair report for several reasons. First, we never make any customer get anything they don’t want (granite backsplash vs. a ceramic one). You were given the pros/cons of doing a granite backsplash vs. a ceramic one but the ultimate final decision was yours in which you decided to go with the granite backsplash. You cannot hold us accountable for a choice you ultimately made but then decided later on that you wanted something else instead. The owner personally spoke with you on numerous occasions for hours regarding questions you had over a 2 month time period before your installation. You changed your mind on several things throughout the entire process. The seams at the time of installation were perfect and all the granite was level. However, occasionally the stone will settle slightly on certain stones, which is what happened on yours and the owner came out to re-level it for you free of charge over a weekend on his day off. Everything used for/on your granite countertops by our company was correct. You have allowed people who are not professional granite fabricators make you believe otherwise. Lastly, your edges were polished. However, on certain stones the edge can take on a slightly different appearance. The stone you chose tends to take on a duller look on the edges due to its dark black color. It’s the nature of the stone and has nothing to do with how it was polished. This was your stone of choice. You commented on the promptness of getting an estimate as well as the promptness in the actual installation. You found the owner helpful and also found it necessary to consult our company on numerous occasions on items you said you had no knowledge about but then gave our company an F overall grade and F for professionalism as well. Is this report really fair? We definitely don’t think so.

When you hire GGG, you get Mark, the owner. I have never seen anyone so responsive. I saw him within 24 hours of my call to obtain a measurement. He is an old-school craftsman who brings many of his tools to your home & may do some of the more discrete fabrication work in the driveway. Our job presented a number of challenges: Mark and his two-man team were very patient, as we were doing a kitchen remodel and had to bring them in by stages. They did the counters first & then waited for the island to be remodeled before finishing that piece. When I learned on a Thursday afternoon that the island was ready for the granite measurement, Mark agreed to come measure it Friday morning. By Friday afternoon, he had completed and installed the island granite. Our existing SC granite installation was a mess - the builder had used too much silicone or glue to install it, so it was real work for Mark's team to take it out. The builder had glued in the cooktop, too, so the cooktop had to be broken to remove it. Because GGG didn't realize this beforehand, they paid for a new cooktop, even though it didn't seem to be their issue. They also made sure I had the new 70/30 sink that I wanted, even though they initially brought a 60/40 sink because I wasn't, in retrospect, adequately specific about which sink was acceptable. A co-worker who had built a house had warned me that it would cost me thousands to change the sink cutout. I prepared to live with the 60/40 sink, but with GGG, I got my 70/30 sink that could fit a Thanksgiving turkey. I don't know if GGG had to recut the sink cutout because the sinks were of similar exterior dimensions, but if they did, it was at no cost to me. My colleague's jaw dropped when she heard that. The 3 seams are somewhat noticeable, perhaps because it is a dark stone or because of the nature of our our particular cabinetry does require a good amount of silicone. One seam is very slightly off, as the pieces seem to be at slightly different heights. Mark said he would have put a shim up in the back, but once he noticed it, when he came back to finish the island, he said he couldn't do more because the backsplash (by a general contractor reviewed elsewhere) was now grouted in. The Emerald Pearl slabs GGG obtained are beautiful - very sparkly. They match very well in terms of color. They really catch the light well & are a terrific complement to the glass tiles we used as accents on our backsplash.
Description of Work: We purchased a 4200 sq. ft. townhouse that had terrific cherry cabinets but a horrific Santa Cecilia (SC) granite installation in the kitchen. (The pattern met at opposing angles / \, there were sharp points on the island, etc.) We almost built last year, so we knew we wanted to replace the SC with Emerald Pearl granite on the ~100 square feet of kitchen counter & island. (The cooktop is on the counter, not the island). After reading GGG's great Angie's List reviews & receiving 4 competing bids, we chose GGG. It wasn't the lowest bid, but it was close. And GGG agreed to throw in an ogee edge all around and a new sink. (GGG will bring in a separate plumber or you can hire your own.)

This company is excellent. Mark looked at granite with us twice. He helped us select the granite, spent time to educate us, and showed us examples of his work. He came and measured our counters within 3 days and gave us an estimate at the same time. His price included the undermount sinks and the removal of the old counters and sinks. The work was scheduled and completed as promised. He saved us a significant amount of money and time.
Description of Work: Demolition and removal of a bathroom counter top and two sinks. Installation of granite countertops, backsplash, and undermount sinks.

After getting numerous estimates from companies highly recommended by neighbors and friends, I found Granite, Granite, Granite on Angie's List and thought I'd get one last estimate. They were $800 cheaper than any other company. I met with Mark, the owner, at his shop. I picked out the granite and he talked me through the whole process. The granite I chose had a lot of movement in it, and Mark did an amazing job of making sure that the grains flowed in a nice pattern to give the countertops a smooth flow around the room. His team arrived on time. The whole process took a little over 5 hours. They were very polite. Late in the afternoon, they even ordered pizza for a late lunch. My little boys immediately started hovering around them and they were nice enough to let the boys have a piece each. They couldn't have been more patient with my little ones running around them. They cleaned up everything and Mark was careful to explain how to care for the granite before he left. My mother has been thinking of getting granite for about 10 years. She went through the process with me and was so impressed that she hired Granite, Granite, Granite to do her kitchen too. She and I are both 100% satisfied with their work. She even ran into a person on Mark's team at Home Depot a couple of days later. He even ran several isles over to fetch a product he recommended she buy for her counter tops instead of using Windex. They really care about their customers and it shows! I'd recommend them to EVERYONE!
Description of Work: Granite, Granite, Granite removed my old counter tops and replaced them with granite I picked out. They also installed a new sink. I paid extra to have their plumber install a new faucet and hook up my garbage disposal too.

We've had experience with several "experts" in kitchens & granite. I wish I knew about these folks a long time ago. If you need the product, you'd be nuts not to at least call. Absolutely no complaints. Work done iin record time, no damage to existing glass on wall, very fair price; just great.

Mark came out on a Sunday to do the estimate and was enthusiastic about the job. He confirmed our choice in granite (we had already picked it out) and informed us about what they do (remove old tops, install new ones, out-source the plumbing work) and don't do (painting, any patch work needed from removal of old back-splashes, etc.), and what may happen (needing to raise the granite via shims off the pre-existing cabinets in order for the granite to be level, etc.). Mark and his team of 2 assistants arrived the following Thursday and got the job done in a few hours, with the plumbers arriving about half-way through the process (as they obviously had to wait for the granite to be installed before they could begin). Mark and his team work hard and pay attention to detail. We highly recommend them. Note: Price listed above was for everything (including plumbing) except for the new half-bath sink (Mark could have provided that as well, but we picked our own) -- the plumber was paid with a separate check.

I called GGG on Christmas Eve and Mark came out that afternoon to give us an estimate. We arranged to meet at the local stone place the following Monday and picked out the granite. He came on New Year's Eve during the afternoon and did the installation in less than 4 hours. He had a plumber here as well to hook everything back up when he was done (The plumber was paid directly - $180. This service was optional.). This is a man who clearly loves his work. His business is designing, cutting and installing granite - not sitting behind a desk supervising a crew. When you hire Mark - you get Mark and whoever is assisting him. He is the artist. Dealing with GGG was a pleasant experience. Getting the counter tops replaced was a whole lot less hassle than I expected. Mark gave good advice and did a very nice job. He really knows his trade. I highly recommend Granite Granite Granite.

The owner, Mark was contacted and came out on a Saturday to provide a quote. We were expecting him to arrive sometime after noon. At 4:30pm, after not hearing or seeing from him, I called. He arrived about 30 minutes later. He measured the counter area and spoke to us about various granite, sink and faucet options. We compared GGG to Counter Intelligence and found them to be about $250 less expensive which is why we chose GGG. Mark was friendly and answered all of our questions. We contacted Mark the next Saturday and gave him the go ahead to proceed. He made arrangements on the spot for us to see the actual granite at Daltile. Mark came to the house later that afternoon to discuss the installation date and to receive a 50% deposit. On Wednesday, Mark arrived at noon just as he promised. My wife watched him install the counter top over the next 3 hours, just as long as he said it would be. He sub contracted out the plumbing work which was done very inexpensively. All in all it was a great experience. The counters look fantastic. The seam work looks great with the matching grain of the stone. We had the counters replaced in preparation to sell our house. My wife exclaimed afterwards that the counters look so good that she doesn't want to move now. ;>
