They had good reviews on Angie?s list, and they were able to come her quickly to resolve the issue. They were here in 30 minutes and that was great. They cleaned up everything.
Description of Work: We used DryHome Roofing & Siding Inc in December to fix a leaking roof. We found them on Angie’s list as well. The tip of the roof was leaking. So they removed an aluminum piece and replaced it with a metal piece.

Response from DryHome Roofing & Siding Inc
We had explained to our customer at the time of the contract signing we currently had a two month back log of work. Once the work was started it was discovered that our customer had hidden damage to their existing railings (wood rot) that would require our carpenter to get involved to correct the problem. Rather than re-building their rotten railings with wood products; only for the problem to repeat it’s self in the future, the estimator came up with the idea of installing solid fiberglass posts with Azek composite railing. Upon consultation, the customer agreed and a change order for the proposed work was initiated. These railings were a special order product and took additional time to come in. While we would rather have completed the job sooner, we felt it was more important to provide our customer with the best solution to their problem even if that meant waiting a little longer to do the job correctly.

It went really well. From what I could see from the ground they definitely replaced the boots like they said they would and there are no leaks. Everything seemed to be satisfactory. This was the first time we needed this type of work. They were responsive and punctual. We would definitely use them in the future.

Our interaction with Dryhome Roofing & Siding Inc was very good. I noticed some problems with the roof to begin with and I wanted them to come out to look at the hole in the roof. They came out and together we decided that I needed a new roof so they gave me an estimate. I also talked to them about the ice damage I had from a storm last winter and they really took great care to educate me with what can be done with new roofs to prevent ice damage. We went over all of these things before the estimate and they gave me an estimate based on exactly what I wanted. They stuck with the estimate and did an excellent job.

We have only positive things to say about Dryhome. We received an initial estimate, shopped it with a few other roofing companies in the area, and went back to Dryhome. We found that their price quote was competitive with other major roofers, and we definitely preferred their service. The estimate was conducted methodically and carefully (which is more than can be said for some of their competitors), and when the pricing of the estimate was broken down and explained to us, there was no hard sales push from the company (which is DEFINITELY more than can be said for some competing roofers). After we committed to going with Dryhome, everything happened exactly on schedule and with excellent service. They started work right at 9am and were done by mid-afternoon, which is what they had estimated ahead of time. The crew chief was courteous and professional and the rest of the crew looked like they were hard at work and focused the whole time. We looked around after the crew was gone and couldn't find anything leftover so the cleanup job was also outstanding. On the next windy night, we heard some rattling noise from the attic and guessed that it was the outside vent cover, so Dryhome came back, inspected it and couldn't find an issue (like it was loose), so they just replaced it within a few days. No questions asked. To top it off, we then submitted payment a week or so later and realized after the fact that we had forgotten to submit our Angie's List coupon for a $150 discount. So we called and Brigid at the office had a check for $150 sent to us within a couple of days, without even needing to see the coupon itself. We also received a thank you note and a small gift card to a restaurant in appreciation of our business. So overall - this was about as good an experience with a home contractor as we've ever had and we really can't recommend them enough. The price we received was in line with other roofers, but Dryhome's service and accountability are much, much better than most. We would use Dryhome again in a second.
Description of Work: We had a full roof replacement of our end unit townhouse, including new plywood underneath and the addition of FRT plywood where required (we have an older house that pre-dated the FRT laws).

This past summer I researched and got estimates for gutter/soffit/fascia replacement. (Due to the 'snowpocalypse'.) One of the companies from whom I requested an estimate was DryHome Roofing and Siding Inc. It is highly rated by several consumer services including Angie's List and had excellent feedback. The representative that provided the estimate impressed me as a courteous, knowledgeable and capable professional. The estimate he provided to me was completely in line with the other estimates I received. (Both for the work that needed to be done as well as the cost of doing that work.) He also took the time to go over options and alternatives as well as some suggestions on how to choose amongst them. While I ended up going with another company, I would have no concerns or hesitation in using DryHome Roofing and Siding Inc. I felt very fortunate in having such excellent alternatives.

It is hard to assess the work on the pipe collars. Overall we were pleased with the work done particularly looking at the skylights. We had an issue with some drywall and old caulking on the skylights but Dry Home responded timely and fully addressed our concerns/questions. We are not sure of the pricing. The actual work did not take much time to complete (two employees working no more than 90 minutes) but we do not know the cost of the skylights or the pipe collars to the company.

The install was easy and all I had to do was go into the attic and hookup the electric wiring. That was easy and they explained exactly how to do it. They explained that they are prohibited from doing that because of liability. I think they are a very ethical company and I will use them again whenever my roof needs work.
Description of Work: I called Dryhome after a shady roofing contractor tried to tell me I had enough hail damage to justify needing a new roof, gutters, and siding. I saw some minor damage but wasn't convinced it was anything to worry about. Dryhome did a very extensive inspection of my siding and roof and confirmed that no major damage was present but they did find that my attic vent was not working which the other company failed to notice. They explained how I could test/repair the fan myself but I hired them to replace it. They also replaced some rubber flashing around my vent pipes.

Dryhome came to our home to provide an estimate. Initially the gentleman that was to come out for the estimate did not show up on the day that he was supposed to because of the prior job running late. But all was well as he came the next day and I did not have to be at the home for him to provide the estimate. The estimate seemed quite reasonable, and Dryhome was able to complete the repair in a very tight time frame - one week - to meet our home's sale & closing date. Additionally I was able to pay their bill over the phone after the repair was made and they sent a copy of the bill to my realtor for inclusion in the settlement package. This flexibility on their part and excellent customer service saved me hours of time and provided me with a very welcome stress free roof repair. Whew! Thank you Dryhome!!
Description of Work: Dryhome came to our home, provided an estimate to fix a roofing problem that had been identified by a home inspector, and then fixed the problem one week later.

I asked 3 contractor to come and give an estimate to replace the leaking gutters of my property. DryHome is the only company that actually went up the roof , examined the leaking gutter and told me exactly what's wrong, which section needs to be replaced and what needs to be replaced. Mr Roberto, who made the estimate, was very polite, professional and answered all my questions very clearly and patiently. The other 2 company simply asked me which section needs to be replaced, measured the length on the ground and gave me a quote without even checking out the sections I thought needs to be replaced. A gentle called me back the 2nd day I faxed in my contract, told me when they will come and fix it. On 06/22, the day before they come, they called again and reminded me they are going to come on 06/23, and confirmed no one needs to be home for this work. When I get home on 06/23, I looked for signs that some one had come and did some work, I can't find any, except the rotted gutter is gone and replaced with brand new ones. They did a super job and my gutter is leaking no more. I highly recommend Dryhome to anyone who needs roofing work.

ANOTHER super job by Dry Home! We had an attic fan installed in our house several years ago and these folks were the first people we had our daughter call when she bought her townhouse. Dave Spencer gave his suggestion for the correct product to purchase and a right on estimate. The installers came and went without anyone having to be home -- a real plus!

Dryhome came to do the estimate, right when they said they would! I got a second estimate which was more expensive. I did not have to be home for the repairs, in fact I was out of town. They contacted me on my cell, arranged to get the work done. They billed me later - I didn't even have to give a deposit! I wouldn't hesitate to use these folks again.

Our leaking roof had been an ongoing problem for over a year. We had the roof repaired by another company on three separate occasions (see other report posted on another roofing company). After explaining the ongoing problem with the roof and other roofing company, the Dry Home Roofing professional ascended to the roof (both inside and outside). He returned with digital photographs of the shoddy work completed by the other company. The inside of the roof received extensive damage, was discolored black from rot. The shingles had been repaired by the other company with large quantities of silicon. The Dry Home professional displayed the digital photos and explained the damage to the roof and how it should have been fixed properly. Dry Home roofing, explained fully the damage to the roof and how they were going to fix the leak. They preformed the job on time, on budget and in a very professional manner. Since Dry Home fixed our roof the proper way, we have been leak free and dry. I highly recommend Dry Home Roofing.

The gentlemen was very professional and gave me all the phamplets related to the products that I was interested in; however after he left we discovered that while he was performing his inspection and preparing his estimate he had disconnected our satellite dish; which required us to get up on the roof to reconnect. This was the only downside of the whole experience.

We ultimately went with another company because it had a lower estimate, but I regret that we did. I don't feel we got the kind of attention that DryHome would have provided. DryHome was meticulous in their documentation and attentive to all the details. Jim Baker went way above and beyond what an estimator would typically do. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I had DryHome come to my home for an estimate for a new roof. Initially, a man came out, took measurements and photos, and listened to my concerns. About 3 weeks passed, and I hadn't heard from them (this was during the blizzard, so they were undoubtedly slammed), so I called and learned that the person who does the estimates was concerned about a configuration of my bay window and roof and wanted to visit himself. During his visit, I showed him mold in the attic and told him about water in my crawl space. He suggested that a third person in the company, Jim Baker, come out and try to get a comprehensive understanding of what we needed. Jim was a general contractor and has a more holistic understanding of an entire house. Jim came and spent more than two hours looking in my attic, crawl space, and backyard grading. He made numerous suggestions on what we should do. He submitted an estimate about a week later, which included estimates for the services he recommended.
