They were very quick to respond to my request for a free estimate. I called two other companies. DryHome was not the cheapest, but I was very impressed with their thoroughness and professionalism. Others showed up at the door, said they had the dimensions of the roof from Google and they'd get back to me. DryHome actually went into the attic to determine whether there were any issues they would need to deal with when replacing the roof. Some may consider this unnecessary but I appreciated the fact that they were trying to minimize surprises (luckily there were none). The first day they showed up promptly and started working. Many of the houses around us are switching from cedar shingle to asphalt roofing, so I've seen others work. When they rip off the shingles, they just throw loose material onto the ground, so shingles fly everywhere. These guys rolled the paper the shingles were attached to, so huge rolls were thrown down as opposed to lots and lots of bits and pieces of shingles. I would assume this makes clean-up easier for them but it also means I had no shingles/material hidden in my bushes or under the deck. We have a new metal roof over the front porch that I was a little concerned about. They threw the largest tarp I've ever seen from the top roofline over the front porch so the metal roof wouldn't get scratched. I was just really impressed with their attention to detail. It took them about as long as they estimated to complete the job. They were very good about cleaning up at the end of each day. Both mornings they ensured that I knew what they were planning for the day, and answered any questions I might have had. A week later they followed up to ensure there were no outstanding concerns/questions. As I said, they were not the cheapest, but I think their professionalism, attention to detail, and thoroughness were well worth the higher price. I would highly recommend DryHome for roofing work.

We interviewed 5 companies before deciding on Dry Home. We were extremely confident in Jim Baker's assessent of the problem and his recommendations. While it was necessary to wait for an appointment to have the work done, we feel certain that we made the right decision in selecting Dry Home.The crew was extremely thorough in planning and executing the work. The job became much more extensive than at first anticipated. Jim Baker oversaw all of the work and made adjustments to other scheduled work in order to perform extensive rennovation not anticipated at the beginning of the project. The team worked quickly and left the work site in perfect shape. During each phase of the work, they continued to remove debris from the site. 3 months after completion we experienced a problem during Hurricaine Sandy. Mr. Baker came out personally to check the problem within just a few hours of recieving news of it. He quickly and accurately assessed the problem as a faulty seal on a window. He referred us to the manufacturer of the product. The manaufacturer also quickly responded. For any future work involving roofing, siding, windows, doors, tutters - we will waste no time shopping around. Dry Home will do the best job at a competitive price.

This was not only for my home, but also for a side shed and stand alone shed in the back yard. They also installed a sun tunnel in the kitchen. Came back a week later to check job site for stray materials.

Our flat roof is about five years old. We wanted the condition assessed before winter/snow and chose the company that had laid the roof. After the inspection was complete, they worked with us to identify if the warranty was still active and/or if there would be a fee to transfer it to us (new home owners). The warranty had expired but we appreciated their effort in researching this on our behalf. Scheduling service was quick and easy. The repairman was prompt and courteous. It's been over a month with much wintery/wet weather and things appear to be fine!

Jim Baker, one of their sales and construction person provided me a quote weeks earlier. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was part of the crew they performed the repair. The crew of three fixed the damage in 4 hours. i was amazed at how fast the accomplished the repair. i was very happy with the repair work. i had lamented about repairing it damage myself because I rarely hire contractors to perform work but in this case i decided life is too short and i am too old to be climbing up 15 feet in the air and doing these repairs. The fact that they were able to do the repair in 4 hours when i thought it would have taken at least two days to complete proved to me that these guys knew what they were doing. I joined Angie's List specifically because i had difficulty identifying which contractors i could trust. Dry Homes performance proved to me that Angie's List does work.

Impressed from the start when the salesman arrived on-time, informative, and with that rarest of skills, an ability to listen to the customer. We signed up immediately. The crew arrived early and worked steadily. Within 8 hours we had a beautiful new roof, the old roof and every vestige of it were hauled away, and the grounds were pretty thoroughly cleaned.

Very nice people and very interpersonal, their installation crew was professional, and their work was well done. These are good guys to hire. We did have a few bumps along the way but Steve takes his business very seriously and is dedicated to providing a quality product. Because of this, I initially left a rating of average for them while we were in the midst of a couple of our "bumps". Steve worked hard to deal with a furious customer and a door manufacturer that provided leaky doors not once, but twice, and because of that I'm coming back to revise my estimate. Because of Steve and Chang's hard work and obvious dedication to providing a quality service, I would rate them as excellent. My rating for the door manufacturer would be quite different but that's not Dryhome's fault. I haven't received the final bill as yet so I will come back again and adjust that portion of the review. However, I appreciated the effort to finish the job so much that I didn't want it to get lost in the holiday craziness. Considering how these guys stand up in the face of adversity, I would say their work ethic and quality of labor are excellent. I'd work with them again, even after everything that happened. The back story for those who are interested: Dryhome first came out to look at my home leak problem on 20 Aug. The estimate was that a door on the second floor was leaking and letting water into my basement. Solution: install a new door. However, there were problems with the door. In fairness, the door they ordered to replace mine was backordered for about a month however, when I reminded them my house was leaking and that I wouldn't mind paying more to get another door that might deliver faster; no response (hence the B for responsiveness, the rest of the time they were A level). Which turns out to be more unfortunate because when they showed up to install the door, two months after I signed the estimate, the door itself turned out to be faulty and leaked. After I informed DryHome of the leak they sent a team out to confirm that it leaked two days later due to a defective door. They ordered a replacement door which was backordered 2-3 weeks. After the 2nd replacement door was ready we scheduled another appointment and... the door was faulty and leaked again. At this point, the owner took over an did an excellent job of talking a very angry customer off the ledge and explained the problem. He neither sought excuses nor blamed others but did accept responsibility for getting the problem fixed. He dealt directly with the owner of the door manufacturer to ensure that the door builder's quality control problems did not continue over into a third install. Overall a class act. Also, on the plus side, Chang was able to find the basement leak problem and fixed it. He also temporarily patched the leaking door so that my house no longer leaked (Yeah!). Friday, December 20th Dryhome came back out and put in an extensively pre-tested replacement door with a lifetime warranty. It is raining today and my house doesn't leak. I still worry about the door but I don't doubt that Dryhome will stand by their word. It's been a long road, but I am much, much happier.

The visit went great! After checking out the roof, I was given an estimate on the remaining life of the roof and on the cause of the flashings leak. DryHome is always timely and they stand behind their work. We've used them for years and while they may not be the cheapest roofers, the fact that they stand behind their work and willingly come back out if another problem related to the original issue arises is well worth paying a little more.

They came out observed what needed to be done, sent an email with the estimate, I accepted, they scheduled my appointment not long after, they arrived at the date and time scheduled. I was very pleased with the work and would recommend this company and have them back to my home for future repairs. Pam

The work was necessary due to a hailstorm that damaged virtually every roof and most of the aluminum siding the our neighborhood. Several other neighbors used Dryhome on our recommendation.

No pressure sales contract and discounted for cash. The installation was carefully quick and clean. The 2 man crew was very skilled and thoughtful. I am very pleased with the result that qualifies for a federal tax credit.
