DAVE HENSEL ELECTRIC INC

The electrician was great about coordinating with the tenants that currently reside in the home. He got there, assessed the problem, replaced a part, and fixed it. He was in and out of there quickly and charged us for just an hour of his time + a very reasonable charge for the part. We really couldn't have asked for better service and plan on using this company in the future.

The business owner, Dave Hansel, was antagonistic on the phone and complained that he was not sure if 8 hours worth or work was worth the time for him to answer any questions, while literally being on the phone for only 9 minutes. He then proceeded to convey that he was under a lot of stress and that his company was too busy. Clearly unprofessional and not anyone that most prudent people would want to do business with. I can only imagine the rude response and lack of attention a customer would receive when a problem with their work arises if this is how they treat their customers before the work even begins. In summary, Dave Hansel was horrible in every way and we are thrilled that we hired his company's competitor, who have shown themselves to not only be extremely thorough and competent, but also courteous and respectful to their customers. Our experience with Dave Hansel Electric, Inc. was extremely unpleasant and we will never consider them for work again.

Electricians from Dave Hensel's came and diagnosed the REAL problem. The outside meter, which sticks out of an electrical box, was missing a sealant. When it rained, water was seeping in. The electricians simply added putty sealant and told me to contact the electric company. They did all of this at NO cost!!! Many would take the opportunity there to skim the buyer out of unneeded work. I would recommend this company for many things, but mostly for their honesty.

It went better than I could have expected. From start to finish, Dave Hensel Electric was a pleasure to work with. Dave came to my home to assess my needs and discussed a variety of options for a whole house generator. He showed me pictures of similar recent installations he had done. We discussed the location of the generator, which was of prime importance to me. Dave promised me a written quote in two days. It arrived as promised. After receiving two other proposals, I decided to go with Dave. His proposal was clear and described exactly what I would get. We worked with Dave's plumber to get the gas company to install a new split meter and then scheduled the generator installation. On the day we were scheduled, seven of Dave's electricians arrived at my house to begin working. He had one team working outside, and one inside. These guys were amazing! All of them were professional, courteous, extremely neat (they put every scrap of wire into trash bags they brought with them and covered my floors with moving pads to keep everything clean). Every wire the installed was straight and parallel. Every electrical box they hung was perfectly level. The new wiring was neater than my original wiring. When the wiring was finished, we fired up the generator and - voila! Everything worked perfectly. Dave then spent time showing me the features of the generator. He was extremely thorough. The county inspectors arrived, and everything passed - absolutely no issues. This had to be one of the best experiences I have had working with a contractor on a major project. What a great company to work with!

It took two initial calls, and on the second call, I couldn't have been happier with the responsiveness, professionalism, and work performed. I was happy to see that Angie's List definitely had this right... my first experience with using a A.L. recommendation was right on the money. I highly recommend D Henzel.

Called Dave Hensel Electric at 0830 on the 17th of May as we are selling our home and a home inspection uncovered numerous minor problems. We needed the work done quickly as we are leaving on vacation. The technicians arrived approx 10:30 and completed all the work requested quickly and efficiently. The technicians explained all they were doing, and upon request inspected the attic for an item addressed in the home inspection, ref recessed lighting fixtures, that turned out not to be a problem. Since our service panel was near maximum capacity, they removed some breakers that were no longer needed and cleaned up the panel.

Dave personally came out to look at the job, made some great suggestions on how to route the circuit to minimize the amount of digging and explained everything that would need to be done. His crew was professional and did a great job on the installation. It turned out exactly like I expected.

Extremely knowledgeable and professional. And FAST!. Deane and Jay quickly diagnosed a breaker-popping situation I had a the barn that had baffled me. Then, on a "while you are here" basis, I asked if they could replace a bunch of old outlets and switches around the barn and house. They dove in and blew through my whole list in much less time than I had estimated. Top-notch workmanship as well.

I was referred to this electrician by a home inspector I hired. The electricians came on time and did a thorough job. They answered all of my questions. They wired the panel very neatly. I have been disappointed by electricians in the past, so I'm glad I found this one.

After checking out several contractors on Angie's List, we invited five to present bids to the Condo Association's Committee for review. Hensels presentation, knowledge and professionalism put him far ahead of any other contractor. He hooked us up with a lighting consultant that helped us retrofit our current poles. After several discussions, the Committee presented to the HOA Board, and options were approved. In all of these transactions, there were many MANY questions and change orders back and forth. Hensel and his admin staff handled them without batting an eye. The installation itself was flawless, and the lights look great! All of the installation team were prompt, courteous and professional. We have another project coming up in the spring and will go directly to this company based on their superior work, both in the field and on the administrative side.

we wantedto replace smoke detectors. Very resdponsive to phone calls.I bought the wrong kind. They informed me politely of the kind we needed. I got them. They returned the same day whidh I thought was unusual at no extra cost.

Dave Hensel missed first scheduled appointment, but called us early and rescheduled to next day. Arrived on time next day and fixed both things we called them about VERY quickly, in about 45 minutes. They are friendly, courteous, and professional. I thought our dryer electrical circuit problem was the circuit breaker, but the electrician determined that it was a crack in the in-wall 240 volt outlet the dryer was plugged in to. He replaced that outlet and the problem was fixed!

I had quotes from Parrish services and from an independent contractor to install 4 recess lights, a Moroccan lamp, and sconce lighting in our living room, and Dave Hensel beat the quotes we were given from the other two companies. We provided the lights, and Dave Hensel Electric did the installation work. They did an excellent job of talking us through the scope of the job and asking the right questions to help us make the decisions we needed to make before actually coming to do the job. They were able to knock out installation in half a day and did so in a professional manner. We are very pleased with a job well done and will recommend them to others, as well as use them again for follow-on work.

Job was finished in short order. Task was quick. Took a very short amount of time.

Nothing happened. No return email, no return call, no update, no nothing.

They communicated by both phone and email (after on-site visit for estimate) price as well as scheduling. They arrived exactly when they said they would; and did a great job while minimizing mess and disruption. They are very polite and thoughtful. (I had a small plumbing leak that Dave took care of for me until my construction contractor arrived.) Everything passed the county inspector without question.

I called them to get an estimate for a dedicated line for an electric cooktop. They gave me a fair and clear estimate when I called. I would work with them when I'm ready for the project. They did a good job and fixed the faucet.

Dave was great to deal with, very professional and friendly. I had several estimates and his was the best price and provided great service. On the scheduled day of the installation, his crew arrived on time, worked hard at the re-wiring of the box, coordinated the power switch over with NOVEC and completed the work in the time frame promised without any surprises or problems. Very good experience!

Dave arrived on time and immediately began working. Before he added the light he showed me where he was going to place it and asked if that is where I wanted it - I was very impressed with the care given to my house. He laid down a large thick pad to ensure that my flooring would not get damaged. I had a question about some pot lights so he checked them and informed me that the bulb wattage was at the maximum for those lights. I was so impressed with his work that I called him back a few weeks later to change out a ceiling fan light control and to switch a regular outlet to a GFI outlet. I will definitively use them in the future for all my electrical needs.

From the quoting process to work completed it was a pleasure working with Dave and his crew. When he provided the quote he pointed out that some materials for the deck stair lighting had significantly increased and offered alternatives in his initial quote rather than just putting a big number in front of me - he also made additional recommendations to include a whole house surge protector. It was easy to communicate with his office via email to finalize the contract and schedule the work. A crew of 4 (including Dave) showed up early Friday morning - we reviewed the quote and work order, discussed some of the challenges of the job and the entire crew worked to ensure the job was done well and efficiently. They left the house and outdoor area clean, no debris and did a final walk-through. I can confidently recommend Dave and his company to anyone - really appreciated a fair price and top quality work.

He provides great service. I would definitely recommend him.

When part of the job did not appear right to me, the electrician made an extra effort to get it perfect. His van was well supplied to be able to troubleshoot the job in one visit.

I got 3 estimates. Dave's was higher, so we were not going to use them, but he negotiated with us and we went with his team. They were professional, courteous, neat, and did a great job. We were really happy with them and I would use them again for any future electrical.
