this was done over a year ago and I do not fully remember the date, I do know that it was in the Fall of 2012

They're very prompt. They're very nice on the phone. They're professional people...professional business company. Their price is okay. He is working with the builder so that's very good. I would highly recommend him so far. He's done what he is expecting to do.

Dave was very responsive and punctual. I was able to explain the issue over the phone but he still popped by to make sure everything was as described. I consider this a good thing since this is his area of expertise, not mine. His estimate was very reasonable. He was able to have a crew complete the work same day since they were working in an adjoining neighborhood. His crew was very polite, asked relevant questions, worked efficiently, and cleaned up when they were done!

There were several different jobs performed. All jobs were performed to my complete satisfaction.

They did this same job two years ago on another home we owned and were knowledgeable about both hot tubs as well as the wiring.

Dave showed up first in the morning to assess the job. There was quite a bit that needed to be done. He told me that he would have three workers at my house in the afternoon and if the job was not finished that day, they would come on Friday to finish up. Well, throughout the afternoon more and more men showed up. I think as they finished their other jobs, Dave sent them over to lend a hand. Bottom line, all the jobs were finished within two hours. Everything I wanted done was done. The men were professional, courteous, went right to work, and cleaned up afterwards. As I work on my house (a new project each year), I will not hesitate to call Dave again.

I can't say enough great things about this company. The electricians arrived on time and completed the work in a timely, professional manner. They treated our home with respect and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves once the work had been completed. We previously used another electrician for a separate project, and Dave Hensel's crew was so much better than the other service provider. Thank you, Dave!

Called Dave 8 am as soon as they opened and explained the issue we were experiencing. Dave told me he could have someone onsite before noon. The electrician showed up before noon; I showed him where I thought the issue was and he went straight to work. Replaced the receptacle and explained what had happened to cause it to go bad. He was done in 15 minutes.

Hensel Electric is a great group of electricians, but that's not the reason we love them. Sure, they do awesome work and have even come out for small jobs, but that's still not the reason we love them. We love Hensel Electric because they provide creative solutions and thoughtful recommendations. We have given Dave Hensel and his team several problems that we weren't sure how to solve, and they've always come up with multiple solutions for meeting our needs. The first was installing a fan in a master bath that bordered two walls outside walls and had a skylight in the ceiling. We thought for sure they were going to have to cut through the siding or tear up our drywall. They ended up not doing either. The team looked at the space and noticed there was a small bit of attic over one part of the bathroom. They were able to climb through the attic and install the fan without cutting through the siding or having to repair our walls. No one else had come up with this solution. The second was an outside outlet that worked only when the back porch light was turned on. To fix this would have required a lot of rewiring and drywall repair. Dave talked to us about why this bothered us so much and what we were trying to accomplish. We explained that we plugged our pool cleaner into this outlet. So, every time we had the pool cleaner on, the back porch light also had to be on. His solution was to install a new outlet, which was closer to where the cleaner is kept and more convenient to use. As a result, we didn't have to tear up our drywall or do a lot of expensive rewiring. Finally, Dave was nice enough to install the transformers and hook up two path lights so we could see how much light they put out in order to determine the spacing between each of the lights. It took us much longer to get back to him than we originally intended, but he was very patient. Once we got it figured out, he and his team installed approx. 25 lights. Approx. 18 of them were well lights that required a bit of digging to install. They did an excellent job and the lights look great.

We have worked with Dave a couple of times. He was kind enough to call to talk over our situation before he came to our home. He was prompt, courteous, efficient and very nice to work with.

I called the office after consulting Angie's List. The lady who answered was very pleasant and helpful. She asked if I needed it done the same day, or next at the latest. I received a call not long afterwards saying two electricians were on the way. They came shortly thereafter, were both gentlemen. The installation was completed quickly, and far better than the previous sloppy job. They were also very considerate, bringing blankets to walk on while in the house. I am very satisfied with Dave Hensel Electric! I would absolutely use this service again for any electrical work.

Dave Hensel and his crew were extremely courteous, professional and did an outstanding job installing a new service panel, running power to a shed and installing lights/outlets in the shed. Dave came highly recommended not only from Angie's list, but by my two neighbors who had hired Dave for electrical work in the past. I had three estimates done for the same work (all companies from Angie's list) and Dave's estimate was extremely competitive. While surveying the work to be done, Dave explained everything that needed to be done in great detail. He addressed all safety considerations and pointed out areas of concern. On the day of the work.... Dave's crew showed up on-time, laid down protective rugs in the house, ensured I knew exactly what they were going to do and completed the work in a timely manner. All employees were extremely courteous and very enthusiastic in completing their assigned work. While I was at work, Dave forwarded me pictures of the installation and then called when the project was completed. I also want to mention the courteous customer service provided by Hensel Electric's office manager (Marjorie). She kept me apprised of the installation date and ensured all my questions were relayed to Dave if he was working at another site. I cannot imagine a better experience in contracting electrical work.

Will, the electrician was fabulous and did a fantastic job. Will was very knowledgeable and gave great advice. Unfortunately, initially, I hired a handyman recommended by a co-worker who totally batched the job and did exactly what I asked him not to do. I explained to Will what I did not like about the job and learned the job was not up to acceptable standards for Loudoun County code. I ordered a new cabinet because the handyman placed the receptacle too low on the cabinet and the junction box was too prominent and the first thing you saw when you opened the cabinet door. To hide the hole, I ordered a new cabinet and Will placed the electrical receptacle in the proper place and ran the wires in a way that they would not be seen and cleaned up the work the handyman had done. It was a 100% improvement. It's amazing how neat the wires were run and a very professional job. I was so pleased and happy; my nightmare kitchen island experience was over. Night and day difference. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism, consideration and most of all listening to what the client wanted. Thanks so much! Also, I was pleased with Bennie who replaced my outdoor receptacle. It's nice to have a dawn to dusk outdoor light. I would definitely use Dave Hensel Electric again.

These guys are terrific! They realy know their stuff and they are quick, courteous, and very thorough. I have had several electricians work on our complicated wiring over the years, and these are hands-down the best. As well as the least expensive.

We selected Dave Hensel Electric because of their excellent reviews on Angie's List and we were not disappointed. Dave was very punctual with both the appointment for the estimate, and for the actual work. Dave was very friendly and professional and so were all the employees I worked with (in the office and doing the work). We scheduled the work a couple of weeks in advance, and when the day arrived, it was pouring down rain. The night before, Dave's office called just to let me know that they may not be able to do the work because of the weather, but they would call in the morning to confirm whether or not they would be coming. To my surprise, they came out to install the lights. They did the outside work during the brief breaks in rain, and at one point, even used an umbrella to keep some of their supplies from getting wet. We are thrilled with the work they did. The lights look wonderful. There were a couple of places where they had to cut the wall, and the patching work was done very well. They cleaned up any dust and trash they had before leaving. I am really impressed with their commitment and professionalism. It was a pleasure to work with a company that is so conscientious and I will definitely call them again when I need electrical work.

Showed up on time. Diagnosed the connection problem and fixed in 15 min. Troubleshot other problem and helped me realize another switch in house influenced the floodlights. Charge was reasonable. Highly recommend.

We called for an estimate, and had been contacted within 24 hours. They scheduled a visit to the house within a few days for the estimate. Pricing was similar to others we had requested estimates from. We hired them and had the work done within a week. Had a team of 2 do the installation. They worked efficiently, had the right gear and did a good job keeping the mess contained. Installed a ceiling fan and pendant lighting we purchased. The installation team was prompt, courteous and professional. No issues at all. Great experience, and we'll definitiely use them for any future electrical work.

This company was contracted to complete extensive work on a new patio/deck project that has taken over 2 months to complete. Dave went out of his way to contact us and ensure all the services were completed and correct by his workers. He regularly checked-in with us and scheduled work days when I could be present and involved. Dave was more than professional and delivered great service and quality workmanship. All the men he sent to our home were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would highly recommend this company for any electrical work!

EXCELLENT! We had a last minute change the day of the work, when we realized that the light fixture on the ceiling fan in our family room was too low. Dave was able to add recessed lights in our family room THAT DAY. The work was perfect & we love all the light in our home now.

He is very good. He is reasonable with his pricing and always on time. He is excellent. He is very knowledgeable. If I need anything around the house worked on, he is the one I call. He has a small crew and they are always on time and punctual as well.

Dave was very punctual in coming over to give me an estimate, and over the ensuing weeks, his office staff was extremely helpful in getting answers to questions and coordinating a date for the work to be done. On the date of the work, two of Dave's electricians came by, on time, to do the job. They were very professional, answered my questions, explained what they were doing and worked quickly and efficiently. Dave came by during the work process to check on how things were going and to see if I was satisfied. In the end, I got exactly what I wanted and the team left everything clean and in order. I was extremely satisfied, would use Dave again, and highly recommend him.

We've used Hensel Electric several times in the past. Dave Hensel came to our home the first time and went through the work we needed done. We explained that it needed to be done in stages as finances allowed. He took notes and pictures. This job was on a time and materilas basis. The guys showed up on time. Went through the work we wanted done and then they got to work. They didn't dawdle. The job looked better than I thought it could. Very happy and will call Hensel Electric again for the next phase.

I looked for a new electrician after I had difficulties with my old electrician calling me back/accepting jobs. A was a little nervous when I called for a appointment for the outlet behind our range and the told me they would call me later with an appointment. The same run around my last electrician gave me. I was shocked with the next morning the owner, Dave Hensel called and and said he could have some workmen at my house between 1 and 2. They arrived promptly at 1:15. The work did take a little longer and cost more because of the cinderblock firewall, as its an old town house. The work men were so nice and sociable. I was very comfortable having them in my home. The range is now perfectly flat agains the wall, the outlet works perfectly and they left the area cleaner than they found it. Overall, GREAT experience!
