Very quick turnaround on a laundry list of electrical issues, from re-routing electrical wiring to moving sockets to lighting installation. No real snags to speak of, and great service.

A few days after they came to our house for the estimate, we received an email with an itemized list of the cost for each project. I had a few questions and they responded to my questions immediately. We were thrilled with the work that they did and would recommend this company to friends and family, and we would definitely do this again.

On 8/26/09 my handyman attempted to install a new chandelier in my dining room. The chandelier is solid iron and very heavy (it has to weight at least 70 pounds) and we both struggled together to install it. When we tested a bulb to see if it worked properly the bulb made a popping sound and went out. After that we checked the circuit breaker and then put the original chandelier back and the switch was dead as a doornail. At that time we decided it was time to bring in a professional so I called Dave Hensel Electric (who I had recently hired to install a new outlet and had been pleased with the work) o/a 4:00 P.M. I was told that they would have someone at my place at 7:00 the following morning. The electrician arrived promptly and also promptly discovered the problem and fixed it. Then I asked him if he would complete the job of installing the chandelier and also replace another overhead light and also add a ceiling mediallion to the other light. He made a quick phone call and then told me that he would be back in the afternoon and someone would call to let me know when to expect him. Someone from the office called within an hour and told me to expect the electrician at 2:00 P.M. Again he was here promptly. Since the chandelier is so heavy, he had to reinforce the ceiling, which he did without causing any drywall damage! He was able to sling the chandelier over his shoulder and then hoist it up as though it didn't weight anything at all - I was flabbergasted! When he installed the other light, it turned out that the hole in the medallion was too small but he fixed it quickly. I'm a very happy customer.

Dave traced the chained outlets throughout the house and after 1 1/2 hours finally found the culprit outlet which we didn't know was part of the same circuit. Turned out it was an outlet in the garage that was the problem. Dave fixed an exterior outlet which looked pretty unsafe, re-covered it and re-sealed it while also fixing one of the interior oulets as well. He came out the day I called which was great.

Dave Hensel provided a quote for the work over the telephone. Mr. Hensel was very patient with my lack of knowledge and technical jargon. He explained the work in a way that made me understand what the project was from his perspective and that we both understood the scope of the projet as well as the unknowns aspects. After getting additional quotes from other electricians, I selected Dave Hensel Electric. When I called to schedule the installation, the appointment was made to suit my schedule. The crew arrived as planned and proceeded with the work in a professional manner. The crew put down plastic sheeting to catch debris from the work. After the fans were installed, the crew cleaned all of the work areas and returned furniture to the original location (including a very heavy bookcase). While the quotation from Hensel Electric was not the lowest one I received for this work, his quotation was in the same range as other quotes I received. I am very satisfied that I made the right selection for this project.

They arrived right on time. Two guys instead of the one I was expecting. The 2 vanity lights were installed simultaneously and the sconce was installed after. I was quoted the hourly rate for one guy, but since two guys arrived I was charged more per hour than what I was expecting, but I guess it would have taken twice as long with only one guy.

They were very professional and easy to work with. Their work was well done. This is the second time they have worked at my house and I will definitely call them again!

Electrician is professional and finished the work on time and not mess afterwards.

I needed this done quickly and was able to have them come out the next day after contacting them. I wasn't able to be home and they arranaged to do the work while I was not there. I simply left the fixtures and information and they were able to come in, do the work and cleaned up after themselves.

Quote was right in line with other vendors, but very professional and clear. We were able to finalize the deal via email (easier for me). Two workers showed up on time in the morning. Did all the work correctly and promptly, they cleared their trash and left only the boxes and instructions for new fixtures.

Dave Hensel returned my call and his crew made all the repairs in 1 1/2 hours, the same day. Outstanding work at a reasonable price.

The photocell sensor on my outdoor post light broke after 30+ years of service. I wanted to get an estimate by email and Mr. Hensel was able to provide one quickly. Repairman showed up as scheduled. Needed part was on back order, but repairman offered and installed an alternate part in order to avoid need for second visit. He also reattached light housing that had become loose. Office and repair staff were very pleasant and responsive.

They were great, they were very professional, they knew what they were doing and they did a very good job. They had a very competitive price and I would use them again. They were prompt as well.

My experience with them overall was good. We were very pleased with all of the work. When they came to give the estimate they were very thorough. One thing I would say is he had some very good ideas he put in his written proposal that he didn't talk to us about so the ideas didn't happen. So one thing I'd say with working with him is to do some of the communication in writing to reconfirm what your plans are so that little details aren't forgotten about.

It went great; I needed someone within a day or two at the most since all my lights were out. I called them at almost 4pm on Wednesday and he was able to respond the first thing in the morning on Thursday. Though I m sure this is not always the case they were very helpful and professional. He also has his own person answering the phones which is a big improvement over the answering services or no answer at all. Dave came over himself and was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable about his work. He was professional, clean, and friendly and communicated very well without using trade jargon. The original work turned out to be very easy and without hesitation he was able and willing to put in a new outlet box for my built in microwave which I expected to have to schedule out. Over all this saved me over $200 dollars since the stores charge that much to come and install them for me.

The work was wonderful. They had to climb up into the attic, which was not easy. They did a great job!

EXCELLENT. This is the second time that we have used Dave. We couldn't ask for a better or more reliable electrician. I recommend Dave to everyone I know. When we first purchased the townhouse, Dave completely re-wired the panel as it had completely rusted. Dave wanted to ensure our safety first. The job was VERY reasonably priced. Our second time using Dave was listed above. He addressed all of our questions and came to install the attic fan/circuit very quickly. He and his employees are ALWAYS on time. If they say they will be there at 8am, he will be knocking on your door at 7:55am. I would recommend him over any electrician ANY DAY.

This was a very positive experience. The owner, Dave Hensel, took the call and arranged for an electrician to arrive early the next morning. The electrician was on time and quickly completed the work.

Dave was recommended to do the spa and other high-voltage deck/porch work by our contractor Mark Shriner, and we corralled him into taking on a number of additional inside problems that had been bothersome for several years (mostly of our own making). He was able to coordinate his interior and exterior work with us and with Mark's team, and came back a couple of times to fix problems and make changes we requested after reconsidering our choices, with no complaint. His crew was friendly and professional at all times.
