Dave and his crew showed up on time and three men finished the work in a few hours. To save me money, he replaced only the components of the fan/heater and not the housing in my ceiling.

I had an outlet quit working and was worried that it was a safety problem. I called and they sent someone the day I called. He traced the outlet problem to another spot in the wiring and fixed it. While there, I asked him to check a bad ceiling fan. He found a bad switch and replaced it. He inspected some DIY wiring in the garage and said it was not safe. He remedied that. Total time at my house was about 2.5 hours. Technician seemed competent and worked at a good pace. I do not know if the price was good or not; it didn't seem unreasonable given the amount of time he was there.

They were very punctual and professional, told us how much it would cost. The price was very reasonable and they went ahead. They did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the result. This is the second time we have used them and would definitely use them again. We recommend them highly.

He was extremely courteous and professional, describing every option and every step to make we we were completely informed of the job.

They came on time as arranged, had all necessary equipment, including a 16' ladder, to do the work. They worked straight through with minimal breaks and were finished within 7.5 hours. They laid down plastic sheets everywhere they worked and carefully cleaned up each area when they finished. Nice people, very respectful, fully professional and hard working.

On Monday while outside I noticed excessive noise which I thought was coming from our AC unit. Later that evening with the help of a neighbor it was determined the AC was fine but our attic fan was really starting to make a racket. I called first thing Tuesday morning and an appointment was set up for Saturday. On Wednesday we received a call that there was a cancelation for Thursday between 9 - 11am. We said "YES". The noise had been getting progressively louder and Wednesday evening there was a very loud thump and the attic fan motor completely stopped. Rick arrived shortly after 9am and went up to take a look. Somehow the blades had slipped and jammed into the motor burning it out. A new fan arrived within 30 minutes and was installed within the hour. It is again quiet in our house - not like the inside of a jet engine.

Went very well; professional, prompt; responsive to questions. I would absolutely recommend this company.

Dave was able to give me an estimate over the phone that was very reasonable, and also scheduled an electrician to come out the same day I called to give a more detailed estimate (which ended up being the same since there were no surprises for them). The electrician also gave me very good tips on what type of equipment to get (Hunter fans and Lutron switches). I was then able to schedule the appointment for a week later. They showed up promptly on time and worked very efficiently, they actually ended up being $40 under the estimate they quoted me. Very pleased with their work, we will be using them for future work, most likely replacing the lighting and bath fans in our bathrooms when we remodel them.

I got a quote over the phone, and they were very responsive in booking an appointment. They showed up right on time, and finished the job in less time than they had estimated. They cleaned up the mess made by cutting holes in the ceiling, etc., and took care not to cause any damage. They even installed a neat dimmer/fan control on my light switch to make it easier to work the fans! They also recommended some additional work that might help keep my home cooler, and gave me a quote on the spot. I will definitely use them next time I have any electrical work to be done -- great job!

We received multiple quotes from top rated companies (as shown on Angie's List). We selected this provider based on price and overall comfort-level with Dave as he explained the work to be done when we met with him for the free quote. The one stumbling block we encountered in this process was trying to get in touch with the office to get on the schedule. It took a few days to reach Dave but once we did, he quickly got us on the schedule. We later learned his normal staff had been ill and thus, response time to set-up appointments was slow...can't fault someone for that and I only mention it, because in the end, I'm happy we were patient and contracted with Dave for the work. The day of the job, two technicians showed up, reviewed the work to be done, and quickly and professionally set about their business. In just a few hours, our burnt-out light/wiring was replaced and working again, as well as we had four new ceiling fans installed through-out the house...in rooms that previously did not have any wiring for such fixtures. The crew did a great job of cleaning up, and now, just moments after they have left, you'd never know anyone had been doing work in our house today. I am comfortable and confident with the work that was performed and plan to use Dave Hensel's in the future for other projects we have planned.

It went exceedingly well. Dave Hensel is the consummate professional. He showed up with one of his employees and they went right to work. When he came by to do the estimate, he talked to my Father in law who is like a master contractor and he made my Father in law feel at ease. No small feat. We actually got several estimates but Dave's proposal showed that he listened to us and took us seriously and that is why we accepted his bid. I will definitely be calling him again in the future to do more work. Moreover the work actually cost $1500.00 dollars but the $100.00 discount from mentioning Angie's List reduced the bill to $1400.00. Awesome right!!?? Yeahh!!

Provided estimate the same day I called and performed the work the next day. Answered questions willingly on possible alternative wire routing and cosmetic issues. Fan wall switch I had purchased did not work and they quickly installed a normal on/off wall switch and offered to come back and install a new fan switch or fan remote if I wanted to purchase another. I did and they returned the day after I called to install it - no extra charge. It was a pleasnt surprise to get this level of timiliness and consideration.

These guys were great! Sent email for initial contact on weekend. Received call from office Tuesday to setup appointment later in day. Keen showed up and went over desired locations of outlets, etc. and work involved. Gave me an estimate which I felt was quite resonable with caveats if plaster work was needed. Then asked if I wanted it done today. About fell on the floor! Figured it would be just an estmate and a scheduled day for work. Needless to say, I was thrilled and Keen went work and later joined by Dave knocking out the job in about 2 hours. Also cleaned up completely afterwards. All in all a great experience, Thanks to Angie's List for steering me to them.

They did a great job! They even charged less than their estimate because it was easier than they thought it would be. We found this cool switch that we weren't sure would work based on the other switches in the room and they even got all of that working together. I would definitely use him again.

They sent Will, who was terrific. He hung the lights and had to reinforce the spaces to do so. He replaced bulbs outside and explained why they didn't work well in the locations and fixtures we had. He repaired a broken bulb housing in a spotlight. He also put in new switches and found one problem that was potentially dangerous - the flickering lights in the office were a switch problem. We're ordering under-cabinet lighting from them and bringing them back to do more work that will just enhance the house. What we spent was a very good value for the work he did, the time he spent, and the education he offered in making things work better. Love these people!

He was fantastic. Our kitchen remodel would have been sub standard if it weren't for all of the things he did that we wanted. He did lighting in our kitchen, breakfast area and family room. Most of them were canned and 3 or 4 of them were spotlights. When he was here he had 2-4 guys working and several visits here. They were very, very good. I had my doubts before we started the project knowing I was going to spend over $6,000 on electrical work, but when it was done I had a completely opposite view. I realized then with everything they did how involved it was going behind the walls and getting down to the electrical box, etc. He was first class.

It went very well, I was very pleased.

Electrician Keane arrived right on time Monday morning. He was most professional and efficient throughout the time he was working on our job. After checking the new light fixture and the wiring in our kitchen, Keane gave us three ways to install the new light, at varying cost estimates. He was able to avoid plaster work and still give me an on-off switch on the light by modifying the light fixture itself...a less expensive choice and a great job!! Besides installing the three other new light fixtures, Keane also installed two new outlet boxes and replaced the central kitchen ceiling light fixture. So, all our desired electrical work was done in that one visit, and at a very reasonable cost!!! The online 10% discount to Angie's List members further decreased our cost! We were most satisfied with the quality, timeliness, and cost of this job and will certainly call on Dave Hensel Electric for any future electric work!

Mr. Hensel arrived on time, was very professional and competent. Showed me what the problem was and then fixed it. He had given me over the phone prior to his visit what his charges were. I was very happy with the service and would not hesitate to use him again and would highly recommend him. His price was very reasonable compared to what I have paid before for services that left much to be desired. He came within 24-hours of my call. It was not an emergency call. In the past few years I have been reluctant to call electricians as they have charged a lot for little work and I always felt I was being taken. Mr. Hensel was a refreshing change.

He came out in January, but he didn't do the work. The bid didn't cost me anything. He was very responsive. I would have him give me an estimate if I needed to get some work done in the future.

With the tremendous snowfalls of the last month, I had water leaking in an exterior wall of a second floor bedroom. The water was leaking around a electrical outlet, so I immediately turned the power off in the bedroom. However, the bedroom is on the same circuit as the master bedroom. In order to have power in the master bedroom while keeping the power off in the second bedroom until the leaks could be fixed, I called Dave Hensel Electric to add a new circuit so that the two bedrooms are on different circuits. I initially contacted the company on Friday, February 19, to obtain an estimate. The office manager told me that Dave was out of the office, but I should email the details of the work requested and Dave would respond over the weekend or at the beginning of the following week. I sent an email and received a response on Tuesday or Wednesday, February 23 of 24, that Dave would be able to come to my house on Friday, February 26, between 7:00 and 7:30 AM to talk about what I needed done and give an estimate. Dave arrived promptly at 7AM and I explained what I wanted done. Dave looked at the outlet that was being compromised by the leaking water, and suggested that it would be more economical and just as efficient and safe to replace the receptacle (which showed signs of rust and corrosion) instead of cutting into the drywall to install a new circuit. Dave replaced the receptacle, protected the wires with electrical tape, and added some slack so that I could pull the receptacle a few inches out of the wall in the event that water leaks again. Dave was finished by 7:30 AM. I was very pleased with the work and I would hire Dave Hensel Electric for any additional electrical work.

Dave got back to me after first contact within 24hrs, he came out and took a look at the job within 4 days. He was prompt, polite, and honest. I had had three or four electricians look at it before Dave and all of them said the job would be impossible or at least really really expensive. Dave didn't say any of that, just gave me a quote (much lower than the others) and gave me a date he could start on (none of the others even talked about that). We agreed on the estimate and he began work the day and time he gave me 2 weeks before, very professional. After the job(s) was done he commented that the job was a lot easier than he thought it would be and came in under the estimate. He gave me a detailed breakdown of the bill that showed hours and material cost. I would call them back in a second.

Feb 7, the great snow blizzard! On Sunday while continuing to shovel out when I went to open the automatic garage door - Nope. No power! We checked the house and found the outlets in the family room and garage were not working. I checked the circuit breakers, that seemed ok. Than I checked Angie's list, found Dave Hensel listing and called after 5 on Sunday night fully expecting voice mail. Surprise! Someone answered! I explained the problem, in less than hour later I recieved a call back. Dave would be at the house between 9-10 AM on Monday. Wow! Monday Dave shows up right on time. Within minutes he finds the circuit breaker faulty and restores the power. Cheers! While he is here I ask him to look at a light thats controlled by 4 switches that has never worked right. Matter of fact the people we bought from had told us they had had a electrician in and that person could not find the problem. Dave looked into it and found 1 switch had been wired wrong and a second was bad. Dave did not have his large truck (remeber we also had close to 2 feet of snow on the ground) and said he would be back in a few hours with the right parts. Dave said we would settle up when he returned. A couple of hours later Dave returned with the parts, installed and all is good! Yeah Yeah! I highly recommend Dave and will definitly be using him again. I have a outside outlet that is not working - once the snow goes away will be time to call Dave.
