Being a little bit pricier than I had expected, the David Hensel team was fast to come out and remediate the issue within 2 1/2 hours -- same day service. We will definitely use them again. Thank you!

We had called to set up an appointment to install a light fixture in the kitchen. They initially told us it would be the first of the year before they could come because they were moving. However, we got a call on either 21 or 22 that they could come sooner. The technician came on time, installed the light fixture efficiently and to our satisfaction. He was there around 45 minutes. We are very happy with the work.

They were A’s across the board. They were responsive. I liked the quality of their work. I would use them in the future.

Dave arrived, diagnosed the problem and went about correcting it.

They are able to work around my schedule. The work turned out okay.

My email to them requesting a bid was never answered.

Each person in his crew was extremely professional and courteous. They were punctual, worked quickly and cleanly, and delivered high quality results. We are very pleased with their work and look forward to doing business with them again.

They returned my phone call right away and set up a date to do the electrical work. Will showed up on time and promptly did the work. I had them quote some other work for me. Price seemed a bit high to hook up a attic fan. But overall I would use them again.

When I initially called Dave, he told me he did not come out to Maryland unless a lot of work needed to be done. When I told him what I needed he agreed to come by, take a look, and give me an estimate. At first he did not come because he was busy and later there was a medical emergency in the family. I assumed he would not call back so I called other electricians but no one seemed to know how to put the ceiling fan in my cathedral ceiling. However, a number of weeks later Dave did call back. He had not forgotten about the work I needed to have done. He came the next day. He seemed very experienced and knew right away how he would approach the cathedral ceiling. He sent me a reasonable estimate and a website that had photo's of the Arlington FBX 900 ceiling fan box he would be using. The team arrived early and they were very professional. They covered eveything up and cleaned up all their work and took the old fixtures with them, with my permission. They worked quickly and finished in under 4 hours. Everything works great and I could not be happier with the ceiling fan and how it was attached. In fact I thought I would need a handyman to do some patch work but they were able to calk around the edges so I did not need any drywall work to be done. I would definitely use them again!

Company never followed up to set up a date to review work. I tried to contact the company twice - no response from the company.

Will Hanson and Jim Lyall showed up on time, did the work in the time estimated, and did an absolutely beautiful job of installing the sconces and filling in the drywall around the lights. They put down protective cloth and plastic to protect my bathroom surfaces. The price was very reasonable. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. In fact, I plan to for two other projects I have pending. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!

Dave installed a new bathroom fan and replaced a fixture in our kitchen. Great communication skills, extremely professional, neat and clean. While he may not be the least expensive guy in town, his quality workmanship, responsiveness and customer satisfaction are difficult to beat.

Everything went fine. The workers were really good. They sent two guys, while I was expecting only one, because it has always been just one guy for electrical work that I have had done in the past. They were very professional and worked very well as a team. They did extremely fast work. I expected them to be here at least two hours, and they were here for only about an hour, but that is again because they sent two people instead of one, and that cut the time in half. They cleaned up their work to an extreme that I didn?t expect; frankly, I told them not to worry about it because it was in the garage, so I didn?t really care. The price was in the ballpark. I paid $400, which was a fair price. I was hoping to get away a little bit cheaper as everyone is; however, I had priced it with other people, so I wasn?t surprised. The quality has been excellent while their responsiveness was just shy of being excellent. It did take a few days to get a hold of someone. I was using emails because I thought that might be the easiest way to go; in hindsight, I would just call and talk to someone directly the next time around.

I had attempted to remove my kitchen ceiling fan myself but couldn't figure out how to remove the last piece. The Dave Hensel electricians arrived on time and knew just what to do. The remaining component was removed quickly and the new light fixture was quickly installed with no problem.

I contacted the company on Monday and they were able to schedule me for first thing Tuesday morning. The electrician arrived right on time. After removal of the fixture, the electrician centered the light fixture (as the old one was installed about 10 inches off center), installed the new one, and cleaned up any mess. He was polite, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend and would use again in the future.

Overall, they were on time and provided very good service. This was not a difficult job and they were recommended by the water heater installer. However, they delivered a quality product in a timely manner for a reasonable price.

No call back, no estimate, no work. No call back, no work no good grades.

I called during the holiday season, and was initially told that their crews were booked until January. However, the scheduler asked about my specific issue. When I explained that I was getting flickering and lights and an odd smell from my dimmer switch, they found a way to get me an early appointment the very next day. The team showed up promptly and had the switch repaired swiftly, replacing it with one that matched the rest of my house exactly. My wife pointed out that our built-in smoke detectors were having problems, so we replaced them as well. I would happily call on Dave Hensel again.

The estimate and initial meeting to discuss the requirements went well and I was impressed by the first meeting. --Installed circuit for refrig in the garage -- good work $275. --Troubleshoot and repair landscape lighting - fair (lights did not come on after the work, had to call back, fixed problem, did additional work on fixtures they found earlier that were broken, said there was a problem with the automatic timers. I guess they did not check these for the ~$600 charged on the first visit. They did replace some broken fixtures (~$20) and charge $75 for the visit. I was surprised by the failure to make sure all components were working before they finished on the first trip. I view this as a quality assurance problem. I wanted them to do some additional work inside our home, but have decided not to use them. The team was knowledgeable and polite. I used a large electrical contractor (also on your list before I was a member) to install the lights originally. The lights were not installed correctly (some stopped working) and needed repair. Hensel located the problems and fixed them. After the return visit, all lights are working -not problems.

Excellent! The gentleman that was sent from the company was on time, polite, efficient, careful, clean and answered all my questions and explained some things I didn't understand. He even helped me clean a vent that was too high for me to reach when he was up on his ladder putting in one of my fixtures. Dave also gave me the Angie's List discount (10%) off the total price.

Things went very well with Dave Hensel Electric. Dave showed up on time with his assistant to do the work described. They were very clean, courteous and professional. The only thing that I did not really like about the experience is that they were not available to do the work for quite a while after the initial estimate. I would definitely use Dave Hensel Electric again and think that they do great work.

They were here promptly at 7 in the morning. They also rewired one of the points so that they would all work together and redid an electric tube. We had an island that had to be removed. They undid that and reconnected it yesterday. It was a big job and they did an excellent job in a timely manner. Their price was a little high but we got a $100 discount. There were two or three people that had come out. I liked the quality of their work and their professionalism. We are very happy with all the three people that came out. We will be using them again.

They were right on time, very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and you would not have even known they were there. The drywall had to be cut into and patched up on a couple of spots in the living room but they did a very good patch job that will just require a bit of paint. Overall I would highly recommend this firm.

Great! Dave came out on a couple occasions to plan the effort and explained everything in great detail. We had originally planned an installation location that was good but would require some cabling on the exterior of the house. On the day of the installation he looked a little harder at the installation plan and found a way to get the cabling through the basement ceiling and keep all the cabling out of site. The installation and test took about 4-6 hours and went without a hitch. He followed up a couple weeks after to make sure everything was still working fine - and it is. The unit works like a champ and I'm very happy with the job. Would highly recommend Dave Hensel Electric. He advised me on the right equipment, coordinated the work with the plumber and crew, did an outstanding job on the installation, explained how to operate and test the unit, and followed up afterwards to make sure I was happy. Great job!

I called on Aug. 24 and spoke with a woman about setting up an estimate for running a new cable TV line into the home and checking wiring on a ceiling light, and told her I was hoping to do it on Fri. Sept. 3 (more than a week and a half away). She took all the information, address-phone number-description of project, and told me she would call me back. As of Sept. 8 I still have not been called back.
