Description of Work: The service is super but their big problem is you can never get someone on the phone to get service. I have had to complain to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU about this, If you get someone and can make an appointment, thats great. The service techs are super if you can get a hold of a customer service rep to make an appointment.

Culligan was great. Jamal came out and did a water test and explained the options and made a product recommendation to I selected. They installed the system within a week and the installer did a great job of getting the system installed and set up and also took a lot of time explaining how the system worked as well. Only minor issue is that I was told they would come back in a couple of weeks to retest the water and have not heard from them yet and was told I would be contacted to set up being placed on their salt delivery route and have not heard on that yet either. But overall after two months systems works as promised.
Description of Work: Install an in house water softener and filter system to correct hard water condition.

ating doesWe moved into this home with well water and a Culligan system already installed..The Culligan system was a filter, softener, and for some unknown reason a big blue polishing filter. The The Culligan folks simply couldn't accurately diagnose the problems with the overall system. It seemed that they were guessing every time. They repaired valves, changed media, back flushed many times. We replaced the pressure tank and still we had problems. Frustrating doesn't begin to cover it. One day there was a Rainsoft door hanger on my door. I called them and they were fabulous. (The representative had been with Culligan and left when the quality of the products deteriorated.) They came out and checked our water. Worked with us to design an optimal system, gave us a price, and set an install date. They were phenomenal! The system uses less salt, our water is crystal clear, the pressure satisfies even my picky husband, they arrived exactly on time, did everything to clean up the plumbing mess from the old system, got rid of t he unnecessary blue polishing filter, and left the area spotless.
Description of Work: called to fix the orange water and low pressure. even though they had already been out 3 other times to "tune" the system.

I called on 04/02 because our water softener had stopped working. Our water is unusable without the softener. I told them the situation and they gave me an appointment for 04/23. I told them that I could not use my water. They said they couldn't help. I called around to other places but because it was a Culligan, they wouldn't service it. Culligan of Northern Virginia was the ONLY one that would service my softener. So we waited. 21 days is a long time to go without the convenience of usable water. When he finally showed up, he fixed the problem super fast, but that was just a slap in the face. My toilets were ruined and I had been washing my family's clothes at a laundromat. So the next time my softener stopped working we went with a different system from a local company. They came out and looked at our situation, worked up an estimate and replaced the entire system faster than Culligan of NOVA could even show up.

Description of Work: Installed whole house water treatment system and a kitchen tap fixture for even higher quality drinking water. Water was tested beforehand, and my home was assessed before the system was installed. The technician who first came to our home was fantastic ! Friendly, knowledgable, and informative. We should have called Culligan years ago.

Description of Work: We had a leak in a filtration tank. I called the repair number, told them what was going on and asked for someone to come out. They were really responsive and sent someone out that afternoon. The person who came out was nice and set the tanks up so the leaking one was bypassed. Unfortunately, he was a sales person and said he would have to put in a service request and left. I did not hear back from anyone, so followed up two days later. The person I emailed got back to me quickly and apologized. They said they would schedule a service person to come out and gave me a quote for two tanks. I said I wasn't sure what we needed, just that the leaking tank had to replaced and asked if there was a reason another tank should also be replaced. I only got a response saying they would send the one tank. Service was scheduled and when the service man came out, it turned out he had the wrong size tank and all the information for our tank types and sizes were incorrect. He had to call in an order for the correct size and type of tank and then said someone would call to reschedule once the tank was in. The same person who scheduled the original appointment scheduled the new appointment. The new tank was installed yesterday and seems to be working well. The service man was great (both times he had to come out...). Unfortunately, we were a bit surprised by the invoice as we never received new quotes and it turns out the tank we actually needed was quite a bit more expensive than the ones we were originally quoted for.

We started the process with a sales call from Dan and quot;the Culligan manand quot; - very nice guy. He came to our home and performed a series water sample tests. These tests looked like the same tests you would see a pool life guard perform. The results showed a high level of minerals and chlorine. Not a huge surprise for our area given we are on municipal water. After some back and forth we decided to move forward with Dan and Culligan. The installation went off without any major problems. They arrived at the agreed time and went right to work. Only negatives: the truck leaked coolant in driveway ( tech used towel to clean) and needed to go to home depot to buy a part to complete job. Both were very minor and the system is up and running and the family couldn't be happier with the result.

It went well except we had unusable water for three weeks before they're connections came here.

Description of Work: I rent a reverse osmosis system from Culligan. It is an under-the-sink unit with a faucet near my sink faucet. The unit was due for its annual filter replacements. The technician replaced the filters, but the taste of the water did not improve. So they sent another technician who replaced two of the new filters. Again, the taste of the water was not improved. Finally, they sent a third techician who took the time needed to find the problem, and replaced more filters and my water has tasted fantatistic ever since. While it was a bit difficult getting on the schedule for the technicians to come, Culligan was VERY GOOD about crediting me for the period of time the water quality was poor and undrinkable. I don't blame Culligan for the filter issue since they don't make the filters. The final technician that came to my house was top notch. If I ever have a problem again (and I hope I don't) I would want him to to be the one Culligan sends. The only reason I gave a "B" for the price is because the cost of this system is twice what I would pay for bottled water. But the price is worth it since the filtered water is PURE and healthy and quite delicious.

We used them because we knew the name and my brother in California uses them. I don't know who else does a water purification system, but I am sure they are comparable. I do think they are a little over priced. The service is good and they call and remind you when it is time to change your filter.
Description of Work: We have a water system from them and they come in about every year and a half to replace filters.

The technician was rude.and scruffy He connected the water softener to the Radon out take pipe instead of to the water line and after that forgot to connect the water softener. He had NO IDEA what he was supposed to do.
Description of Work: They were SUPPOSED to service the water softener and reconnect it because it had been disconnected for a while.

The visit went very well! The representative was very knowledgeable about local laws and regs regarding amounts of impurities in water. I am considering purchasing this system based on the quality of the representative and the information he shared.

I like Randy, the man, who comes out to work with us. We have just had some problems since the county inspected our water and things. I can't really criticize Culligan, however, because I am not sure if they rules have changed or what. It is just a matter of figuring things out. I have had good luck with Culligan. They came out when we had our reverse osmosis machine under the sink and replaced the filters in it. We have a service contract with them. Overall, I have been happy with them.
Description of Work: We use Culligan for water treatment, but the county told us that we need to vent the clean water when it back washes to the outside, not to the well, because it could be a problem for the well, and Culligan does not do that.

The technician found a blown fuse inside the control unit and replaced it. Then he checked out/stirred the water softener. I don't know if it was working or not prior to this visit. Immediately upon his leaving I turned on water only to find it coming out reddish brown! I'd never had brown water and this was not the problem that I'd called them for! It was now past closing time so I called them first thing in the morning. I was told someone would contact me. I waited around ALL DAY, and they never returned my calls. I finally spoke to someone in the office prior to leaving for the weekend. I flushed the system a few times as they suggested and left for the weekend. On Monday I still had brown water. When I called they gave me a service appointment for two weeks away. I did not think that was acceptable, I asked to speak to a manager and one was not available. I kept calling and leaving messages, and a manager never returned my call. The office/management is unresponsive.
Description of Work: I called to have my chemical feeder serviced, due to blue stains leeching from copper pipes, an indication that the feeder is not doing it's job. I was scheduled for an appointment more than two weeks later. When the technician came to service the feeder unit he also looked at the water softener. The technician kept trying to resolve the problems.

The tech was very nice. Replaced filters on first visit; had to reschedule to reconnect water softener as he did not have the correct size pipe. On second visit he reconnected the water softener, but used smaller pipe so the water pressure is now noticeably lower. Three weeks later the unit is not producing water. Called to schedule a service call and asked to speak to a manager. Was not able to. Was told to call at 8:00 am in order to speak to a tech. The earliest morning appointment is not for two weeks.
Description of Work: Changed filters on reverse osmosis unit, stopped a leak ($140) and reconnected water softener ($330.)
