The crew was fantastic. Irvin and his crew finished the work and did a fantastic job. He kept me updated the entire time and their cleanup was phenomenal. Looks better than before they got here. I interacted with at least 4 employees during this process and they were all friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, clean with their work and made sure we were happy. I would definitely recommend them and their work.

Terrific, knowledgeable team. John and Mike installed Magnetite window panels that dropped traffic noise levels from the busy, four-lane DC roadway in our front yard to below the minimum of our sound level meter. Awesome. - They took a lot of time with us up front to make sure we knew what we'd be getting. - They perfectly color matched the frames to the existing paint - We discussed other ventilation and energy efficiency systems in depth, and they referred us to other professionals for items that were not in their area of expertise. This company is dedicated to making your house work well, and we're going back for a next phase with them. This is a great company, and we had the best customer experience. From the very beginning to the end, the entire staff was professional, responsive and patient. We were away for the installation, but the work crew kept us informed with pictures and updates. Not only did they do a great job, but after the installation, they almost immediately came back and corrected a couple of very minor problems. Thanks to the comfort/energy specialist, we will be receiving an energy rebate from Arlington County. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Well beyond expectation; Prompt, knowledgeable, ZERO pressure, customer results focused. Carl and I talked at length prior the actual appointment to scope the problem which has been IMPOSSIBLE to pinpoint for a while. Carl arrived on time (actually early but waited for the appointment time. I grabbed him and we started early). Carl spent over 2 hours reviewing the dust problem, looking for likely causes. After a thorough walk through and analysis, he contacted duct experts and identified a way ahead. I will take the next simple steps myself and get back with comfenergy on how we proceed together since the problem may be related to air ducts or might be small air gaps in ceiling drywall top plates. The problem is hard to pinpoint, the service from comfenergy is simple and worthwhile. I wish I had known/used them on my home energy audit originally.

Lets just say our problem is gone. We had our attic floor air sealed and added cellulose insulation to get it to a R49. We also decided to add a radiant barrier to deflect as much heat as possible. The results exceeded our expectations. The installation crew was great! They showed up on time and knew what they were doing. We would definitely recommend Comfenergy to anyone who needs help.

It was great from start to finish office was great salesman was very informative and explained everything very well crew arrived on time was very productive and protected all of my belongings even vacuumed after completing. My home is very comfortable now and my a/c doesn't run as often.

I had two other companies come out to take a look and the solutions they offered weren't as thorough. They were the only company that went in to the attic to take a look and find the best solution to my problem. I got profiles of the workers coming out to my house before hand which was great. The whole team from Comfenergy was friendly and clean while they worked. I would highly recommend them to anyone with comfort issues in their home.

It went fantastic. I talked to MANY contractors. Two things I liked best: * Dr. Energy Saver handbook which really made clear insulation. It was written in such a way it made me want to join the insulation business! * VERY detailed quotation with very clear line items, making sure to call out sealing of light fixtures, sealing of furnace ducts, blown in insulation, hatch insulation, solution for knee wall, etc. Price was a little higher but there was much more effort applied to winning the work and making it very clear and easy what was going on.

From start to finish the people at Comfenergy exceeded my expectations. John and Justin were very helpful explaining the process and the energy saving benefits of the project. We plan on using them again for insulating our garage ceiling this year. Highly recommend the entire team at Comfenergy and Dr. Energy Saver.

Team is very professional, from sales to installation. Ismael Nieto was the installer and it was a pleasure having him work in our home. We had the attic of our townhome airsealed and the insulation replaced with R49.

Awesome, they showed up when they said they would and finished pretty much when they said they would. They took very good care to respect my home while they were working. The crew covered the necessary areas in the work area, and cleaned up just as well. ()like they were never there) I felt a big difference within several hours in my basement, and my addition requires little fuel to stay toasty! Great job Comfenergy!

Outstanding job done by the Comfenergy team. The sales rep, Shayne, was friendly and very professional. He answered all of my questions and inspired great confidence. His emphasis on quality and standing behind their work helped me to select Comfenergy as my spray foam vendor. His pricing was very close to the quote I received from one of his competitors. Communications from Comfenergy were clear and kept me informed of the planning and scheduling process. They did the work while I was away on vacation, with my father letting them into the house and checking in after the job was done. When I returned home I found that they were generous with their insulation - they met (actually exceeded, for the most part) their 2" insulation thickness commitment throughout the basement. I was also happy to find that there was zero residual odor (they installed on a Monday and I returned home the following Sunday). They installed rigid insulation around window and door rough-ins to ensure uninterrupted insulation and to prevent any foam from interfering with my future trim installation. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up. Not a spec of foam on the floors or anywhere else that it wasn't supposed to be. Even more evidence of their customer focus is that they did not push me at all to pay for the work prior to my return home from vacation. Nicely done Comfenergy!

A complete disaster. They charged me over $9300 for the work, saying that the exorbitant cost was due to the “expensive materials” involved. Those materials looked a lot like simple foam blocks and real shredded newspaper to me. When the work was completed, there was absolutely NO change to the conditions in my home at all. Comfenergy then suggested even more expensive, invasive work, but offered it to me for free as compensation. When the details arrived by email, the generous “free” offer had been backpedaled to a mere 20% discount. When I complained, they came back to the house and told me that on second study, it seemed that now the work couldn’t be done at all. The only compensation I got was some free foam insulation under my kitchen cabinets – also a failure. And all the while Justin and John stood there in my own living room, defiantly insisting that the comfort conditions had been improved, but then finally admitting that they didn’t have a clue as to where the draft was coming from. This company took full advantage of my desperation and discomfort; selling me what they intended to sell me without any real examination of the problem. They took me for $9300 in exchange for nothing. They refused to admit their complete failure to achieve any improvement or own up to the fact that they had sold me unnecessary work. In fact, over-insulating my house has exacerbated the situation, as it now keeps the heating system from running as often as it should to distribute the stratified layers of air. Living in my house is a daily nightmare now, and my only option may be to sell it at great loss. There are many other home energy solutions companies out there – save yourself a lot of money and grief and find another one. I wish I had.

The service was fine.

This is a great company. The sales person, Shane Sandner, spent several hours with us explaining to us the various methods for achieving the energy efficiency projects we wanted done to the house. When the work was underway and after it was done, Shane always responded to our questions promptly and with great interest. The crews were reliable and did a very good job. We have had many contractors work on our house over the years. We can unequivocally say that John LeVan, one of the owners of Comfenergy, is hands down the most professional, knowledgeable and conscientious business owner we have ever dealt with. Kudos to this company for operating the way all companies should!

Great, arrived on time, and the crew was so professional. Walked/talked us through the whole process, took pictures, and had us look at each finished stage. Put protection down a and cleaned up after they were finished.

Very professional. Lots of great information was shared with us before they even arrived at or home. Ariel knew his stuff and did a great job explaining it to me. Showed up on time. Great communications from the company to us regarding scheduling and other information. Highly recommended.

The salesperson came in and spent over three hours analyzing the entire house for problem areas involving the original insulation. It was a very technicial evaluation and professionally done. Each of the findings was demonstrated and explained in detail. He also pointed out where the existing home insulation was currently doing its job. The main deficient areas included the family room (lower crawlspace and cathedral ceiling areas), garage area, basement perimeter area, and the attic area above the main part of the house. I got two other estimates and neither one was as comprehensive as Comfenergy's approach, nor as technically evaluated. The work crew was very professional and obviously well trained. They explained each activity before they started it and, after they finished each piece of the project, asked if I would like to inspect the crew's work. Both the production supervisor and assistant production supervisor should get a pay raise--they were that good and very customer oriented. The entire crew was well oriented to their task and well supervised. I am very pleased with my entire experience with Comfenergy.

We appeared to have some dampness in our previously bone dry basement as evidenced by appearance of some mold on suitcases stored down there. Based on a recommendation, I contacted Comfenergy. Christine in the office was professional and courteous in setting up an appointment to include emailing a bio of the salesman. He arrived on time (an evening appointment) and was personable and professional. He viewed the basement and we discussed cause and effect and his recommendations. He priced both jobs with the basement insulation/dehumidifier and garage insulation being two separate estimates. They do one of those "book now and receive x discount" - something I'm generally not fond of, but understand the why. I was able to phone my husband and discuss it with him, so we committed with a percentage down. Also received sheets detailing the processes for each job. John LeVan handled the scheduling for an estimated two days. Anthony and another young man arrived in a timely manner on 11/20. I had prepared our unfinished basement by moving everything away from the walls and ensuring clear access to all the exterior walls - apparently doing more than they generally see, but this enabled them to start right away. Anthony, who was professional and personable throughout, described the process, to include covering areas even though it is an unfinished basement, the duration, and an odor, which dissipated after a relatively short time. He also put something down at the door to the basement to help block the odor. We discovered early on that the need for an electrician had not been included in the estimate or the job. Anthony set up the dehumidifier including the tube to the sump pump and contacted his manager. John contacted me about scheduling the electrician. We had one other issue in that the guys were not able to do the blown insulation in the garage as originally detailed because of a beam, so cutting the strip into the dry wall ceiling on the inside of the beam was required. I paid for the electrician, but Comfenergy absorbed the cost of the dry wall repair. The end result was that both jobs were completed and the additional required tasks were done in a timely manner and well. We recently had a pest control technician report a cold breeze above our breaker panel, which I reported to John LeVan. He called and came out to check it right away. He found where the draft was coming from, determined what happened, and sent someone the next day to remedy. My rating is based on everyone at Comfenergy being very professional and I was impressed with how they, especially John LeVan, worked with me to resolve any issues that arose - even one discovered over a month later. Our basement is now quite dry and our master bedroom warmer. I find that working with contractors and service providers is a learning experience - I know more about what to ask and what I need to be aware of. My expectations of good communication and desire to do good work and resolve any issues that may arise were more than met with Comfenergy. Things will invariably happen, but how everyone manages the "hiccups" can determine a lot about a company. I would recommend highly Comfenergy - they obviously take pride in their work and their company.

Both the sales and install team were very professional, prompt and courteous. They explained rationale for all the recommended work coming out of the energy audit. I particularly appreciated their prioritized staging of all the work required because the cost for all the fixings isn't insignificant. The install/work team were also great with pre/during/post-work walk-throughs. All in all a good value for the cost.

The service was great. The investment was great, they are a very good company to work with, they provided personalized service and worked with the owner. They had very good attention to detail.
