Century Termite & Pest

It went great. Service was easy to schedule, and the price was best we found. The serviceman arrived a bit after the time promised, but given the nature of the work and the mid-day appointment, it was not unexpected. Treatment was efficient and effective. We would not hesitate to recommend this company or use them again.

There were some problems getting the annual contract back from them -- it took a couple of weeks. I called twice asking when I'd receive the 1 year guarrantee. They said they'd send it out, and they finally did so, after about a month.

Technician arrived promptly and completed the inspection noting that he saw no evidence of termites. He did also inspect for other household pests and noted his findings and recommendations. The service that we've received over the years has always been prompt and professional. We plan on using them in the future for our pest control.

We have been impressed with the customer service and price with this company. We used the Angie's List Big Deal and then continued a mosquito contract with them. While the mosquitos have lessened, I have been disappointed that we still have a lot of mosquitos in the yard on a regular basis. Last year we used a different company that no longer services our area and no one got any mosquito bites at all! I'm not sure if this company uses a different product or if it's just a really bad mosquito year so I'm not tryng to be too harsh on the company. We first received their service for the second time, went on vacation and two weeks later returned to horrible mosquitos. I called they company and they said they have a 30 day guarantee so they came out again free of charge. I was impressed with this! Unfortunately, even the same day and the day after immediately following the service there were still a lot of mosquitos. I know they can't get rid of them ALL and I don't expect them to but we couldn't be outside for 10 min. without my kids legs being eaten up.

Technician was customer service oriented. He arrived on time and made sure he understood my expectations. Pleased with service.

At first, the technician sprayed the edge of the property and drove away. Had to call in again to have the perimeter of the house sprayed as well. Fortunately, the company was responsive enough to come out again and do the needful. The treatment lasted about 3-4 weeks, as advertised. Planning on using them again.

No problems reported and saw a reduction in mosquito population. All around great!

We really liked Randall who provided the service, in fact we've hired him for the rest of the summer. We saw a remarkable drop in the mosquitos around our yard and now we can use our back patio again. With the wet summer we've had this has been a great investment.

We started having trouble with small ants around our front door. They had also gotten into our dog's dry dog food which was in a closed container in the closet near the front door. We selected an annual contract where they will come out quarterly to treat the property. Henry came in and explained to my husband what he was going to do. He sprayed around the exterior of the house and also inside. He also swept down spider webs on the outside of the house. He told him if there was any problem or if we saw ants to call and he would come back. Since he completed the treatment in June we've seen some ants around the outside of the house just recently, but none inside. They are scheduled to come back in September. So far we are happy with the service.

Not sure how it worked, as it rained heavily the next day. It's probably better and cheaper to buy a fogger and DIY. 10 minutes for $40 isn't an attractive service.

I was out picking up the yard when I noticed a swarm of termites emerging from the ground. I called Century and they sent someone out within a couple of days, I don't remember how many. The person they sent was very personable and knowledgeable of the chemicals and the termites. The swarm had dissipated but he was able to locate the source under some stepping stones. He sprayed the area down with Terminex and checked under other stepping stones until he was sure he got them all. He said there was two different queens, which he bagged to take back to show the guys. He was excellent in this manner. He handed me the "bill" which turned out to be a renewal for $97.85, since the warranty covers chemical applications. This was not explained to me in any manor. Couple months passed and received a renewal notice in the mail for $95. I called the company and was transferred to billing where I was assured I was renewed not billed for the service. I was told the discrepancy in the billing amount was the $97.80 included a surcharge, if it was paid by credit card, and the $2.80 wouldn't have been deducted. I checked my bank statements as I had paid by check and was charged the full amount of $97.80. I would call back but if billing couldn't get it right when I first talked to them of the discrepancy its not worth the $2.80 of my time. Looking at the bill more closely it look like the $2.80 appears to be FUEL surcharge, which billing should have informed me. I have tried to log into their website on several occasions and get an error message saying my account is inactive when I was trying to pay my initial bill in May 2014. I tried to work with the ladies that work there to resolve the problem for several days and was eventually told they had to contact their IT people and would get back to me which they never did. I tried to log in again today, July 2014, and still have the same issue. I can't rate their price since I haven't compared it with other companies, but as of now I am unlikely to renew with Century Termite & Pest again.

They did a very god job. They were very informative and very helpful. I had a discount for being a senior and I have an offer from Angie’s List. The service covers for a year in addition to the initial. I decided to use them because the use “green products” instead of using chemicals that could be harmful. I also saw some good reviews about them. They sent someone first for an estimate. They talked to us, answered all the possible questions we had and explained what exactly what they would do and why.

The service went well. They did exactly what the deal stated. One person came out for the service. He was on time and gave me a lot of information about what he was doing. He was very professional and I had no issues with scheduling.

We paid for the Angie's Big Deal with Century to spray my .25 acre yard for mosquitoes. Their Big Deal language said 'Some treatments last 21 days, but most treatments last up to a month.' The tech who sprayed had completed when I arrived and I didn't see how well he sprayed. However, he said that it would probably last about 2.5 weeks. I commend his honesty, but think the Big Deal language should be more honest. A week later and no mosquito activity, so that's good. However, Century just sent me a bill for about $20. This appears to be a typical ploy by these companies, as it happened just like this with another mosquito repellent Big Deal I bought last year.

Found termites at a house that didn?t have any. Recently I sold a house. The buyer had Century Termite and Pest perform the inspection for closing. They charged $12.85 for the inspection. The going rate is $50 or $60. Century found termites at my house and wanted $450 to treat the termites. Their report was vague and didn?t have any drawing to indicate any specific location of the termites. I had questions regarding their inspection and asked my Realtor about Century. She talked to a number of other Realtors in her office and found a pattern of finding termites at homes that didn?t actually have any termites. I called another termite inspection company and they did not find any termites at the house. I would strongly advice staying away from Century Termite and Pest.

Definitely reduced the amount of nasty biters flying around. Found I still needed to wear protection while outside. They sell a whole house quarterly package which seemed reasonable but I had already bought one through a different provider. Gentlemen was knowledgeable and gave me an assessment on my outside bug problem.
