I bought an Angie's List deal after noticing water seemed to be accumulating in a downstairs bathroom that was right below another bathroom. I had a little trouble scheduling the visit because I had difficulty reaching them by phone. The guy showed up early, apparently there was some mix-up in the time, but that wasn't a problem for me. He had to open up the ceiling downstairs to allow the water to drain out & then he saw that a small leak in a pipe was the problem. Didn't take too long to fix. Overall, I was very pleased & I got a good deal because of Angie's List.

We came across Cardinal Plumbing after being left in the cold by two other plumbing companies. Cardinal's service from the initial inquiry to installation was A++ all around. Keep up the great work!

Switching all plumbing services to Cardinal immediately - for our main home and rental properties. Not only was price reasonable, Daniel was professional, on time (early!), was in and out and fully explained to me how to prevent the problem from reoccurring Same day appointment. Highly recommend.

Without too much detail to keep it short: Tony, my plumber/technician arrived prompt/early-which was great. He listened respectfully while I explained the issues and what processes I had already gone through. He was patient with all my questions and took time with explanations. After assessing the situation he did agree it was the PRV and replaced it. He even went above and beyond with a couple other issues I had concerns about. I've never had someone work in the house where I didn't have clean-up after. A nice job. I am so happy to know after 23 years I've finally found a plumbing company I love! I have my original water heater...and I feel comfortable knowing I have found Cardinal Plumbing. Even Maria in the office was pleasant to work with. She was always courteous and easy to reach. Since I thought it was my PRV, I was worried about a possible pipe bursting. I called and left a message asking to be fit in if there was a cancellation and ended getting my appointment 2 days early. I have no doubt I will use them for my water heater or any plumbing issue. Personable, professional and reasonable service!

Owner Nikolai arrived punctually and performed the installation professionally. Nikolai listened to my concerns about the installation and patiently answered all my questions. Once the installation was complete, Nikolai even replaced a part on my kitchen faucet that was previously damaged at no additional cost. I highly recommend Cardinal plumbing and will plan to use them for any additional plumbing needs I may have.

On time, professional, friendly. Answered questions. Had to come back second visit with needed part to complete jobs, which was done promptly on schedule. Satisfied with work and would use Cardinal plumbing services again.

It went fine. It was 5 hours worth of work, but I didn't expect it to be any less considering the scope of replacing the galvenized pipe. The price was steep, but about what I'd expect for 5 hours of plumbing labor. The plumber cleaned up after himself and re-assembled all of the parts of the cabinet that were easily viewable (though I have a hole in the back of the cabinet, which I knew I would have going in). Plumber spoke fluent english. I will add these guys to my list of trusted companies until they prove otherwise.

They never gave me the quote for the job done. I have no idea what that cost was. I paid for it through Angie's List. They were here for an hour and a half. They fixed a faucet for the backyard. They did excellent work.

Very easy to deal with Cardinal Plumbing and they delivered what they promise. My appointment was schedule for the afternoon and Tony, the plumbing technician, called me about 15 minutes before he arrived. Upon arrival, he put cloth covers on his shoes and discussed the work to be done. He went to the ceiling area where the leak was and cut a small opening to determine where the leak was. It did not take him long to find the leaking pipe which actually had a pin whole slow leak. After turning off the water and getting the water and air out of the pipes, he proceeded to remove the portion of the pipe that was leaking and replace it with another copper pipe. He cleaned the entire work area and used Simply Green to ensure the area was spotless. Tony then went to the sink that was clogged up. He tried to clear it by plunging it but those efforts were futile. He then went under the sink and removed a few drain pipes and used a snake to go down in the drain. The snake went deep into the drain and once removed the drain worked perfectly. It not only improved that drain but other drains in our home. Tony again cleaned the entire area once he was finished. Tony did an OUTSTANDING job! Talking with him I learned he was a Veteran who served in the US Marine Corps. No wonder his work was so professional and thorough. I salute Cardinal Plumbing for giving our highly qualified Veterans employment! When we renovate our bathrooms or need other plumbing work done, Cardinal Plumbing in Reston Virginia is the company we will contact.

It went very well. Daniel from Cardinal plumbing arrived on time, quickly assessed a number of projects. Realized he would need more time and called their office to arrange for that. He explained the work involved as well as the costs, and pointed out some of the risks involved with the old plumbing. The project hit a snag, with some of the old drain pipe needing to be replaced and he let me know right away / took care of it. He stayed late to get everything on the list and in the end the work was completed very nicely. A+

Cardinal was very responsive in scheduling our appointment. The plumber, Daniel, was punctual, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Cardinal again.

Daniel who is the plumber showed up on time and professionally fixed the leak and completed the work very well. He doubled check making sure no more leak before left the premise. Worst possible scenario - Best possible outcome. Both my wife and I were going out of town and drain lines from dishwasher and laundry both backed up. Tried professional strength Lye-based main-line drain cleaner. Just made it smell worse. While traveling set up an appointment with Cardinal Plumbing after purchasing $200 of service for $170. Plumber, Daniel, was superbly professional, prompt and communicative. He called me at 1145 and was already at my house and working when I arrived from work. My sons had greeted him and shown him the problem. By the time I arrived at 1202 the main line was clear. He then diagnosed an overfill drain on a tub and replaced a tricky, old seal without issue. However, he did explain, kind of like doctors do, that the old copper pipe might break while he was trying to get at the seal. The pipe didn't break and he had it repaired and tested within 20 mins. He was more than pleasant and cleaned up after his work. I would highly recommend Cardinal Plumbing to anyone seeking quality work.

David came out to my home two separate times for ticking sounds coming from my pipes within the walls. The first time (6/25/15) he told me my water pressure needed adjusted so he adjusted the valve ($160). The sound stopped while he was at the residence. Later that day (6/25/15) while running the water I could hear the same sound. I contacted Cardinal Plumbing and they waived the fee, per the owner. The plumber returned (6/30/15) and told me I needed a brand new water valve installed to control the water pressure and this would almost certainly fix the issue (home is less than 2 years old). David would be the subject matter expert, so I agreed but wanted to know what happens if this does not work. He informed me that Cardinal Plumbing would work with me on this issue. With that information I agreed to the install because he stated this would be the fix I needed. Shortly after install we did not hear any sounds. The next morning (7/1/15) the sound returns. I was scheduled to be charged $375 for this service. David was polite and professional but the services he performed at my property did not resolve the issue. I reached out to the owner of Cardinal Plumbing and had a lengthy conversation about my issue. After our conversation the owner knew exactly what the issue was and informed me I was diagnosed improperly. I am grateful to have all fees waived for services performed, due to the incorrect diagnosis. Most companies would have probably wanted me to still pay for services rendered but I feel Cardinal Plumbing operates on a better standard than most. Even though my issue was not resolved I was pleased with Cardinal Plumbings customer service. Would recommend for future.

On time, quick and professional

When Daniel came the first time, we had hot water and pressure again. The pressure value was old but it was obvious that the value would need replacing. This was done. Later that day, we lost hot water and pressure. We notified Cardinal via email and phone, as well as contacted Daniel. Next day, Daniel arrived. By this time, my son, who had been investigating, determined that the problem was in the hot water heater and in a specific section for the water inlet. Daniel cut into the pipe and found a piece of the old water pressure that had gotten lodged into the pipe. Quality of work: Outstanding. Personality: We took to Daniel as if he were an old friend. He is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Instead of just cutting into the water heater, he wanted to check to see if by doing so if that would violate any warranties. It did but I was more concerned with getting the issues resolved. Point is that he didn't have to go out of his way to let me know that I might violate the warranty. Daniel did the work without our being aware that he was even in the house. He cleaned up after the work, and gave us some helpful tips on maintaining the water heater. I can't really say if the cost was too expensive, too cheap or just right since we did not go to any other plumber for estimate. However, I will say that I was going use Angie List coupon to save myself $40. When I mentioned the coupon, Daniel advised me that there was another coupon that would save me $150. This was after I had the cost estimate and authorized the work. Again this was personal service that I am not really accustomed to. This was reason I gave an A for price. So, if I have another plumbing issue, I will most likely go with Cardinal, mainly because they are a caring company and because of Daniel, but if it's not as urgent as this last issue, I will get other estimates and check Angie's list again. Also, lesson learned is to do research online as well. I think working with Daniel helped to isolate the problem sooner although I suspect that Daniel would have isolated the problem. First bill was a total of $720 ($525 for the pressure value replacement plus an additional $195 to cut the exterior water pipe that was leaking and to replace the spout. The spout work was not planned originally but was a last minute request on our part since it was leaking and the old spout wouldn't come off without cutting and replacing the pipe.) Second bill was for $245 to cut into the water heater inlet pipe, and remove the obstruction. We have not had any further hot water problems and the outside spout is no longer leaking. So we are satisfied.

Technician was right on time, came in and set up and did the survey. I would have liked a copy of the video, but the device did not support it. But, I had a good look at the sewage line, we found out where roots were coming in, then he pinpointed where in the yard the line was and where roots were coming in. Very good, would do it again!

A human being actually picked up the phone in a few rings. No staying on hold for 15 minutes listening to how sorry they are they are serving other clients. While larger plumbers tell me they will come in a week, this one came the next morning, gave me a $150 Angie's List discount, and worked quickly and cleanly. Cardinal is like a good old-fashioned plumber from the 1960s before they got so big and automated they stopped caring about customer service. I will always use this firm and never go back to John C. Flood, Michael & Sons, and the other big guys.

Cardinal plumbing answered our call just as the work day was ending. After describing the problem, they offered to come out the following morning. Danny arrived promptly, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, communicated with me throughout the process, and diagnosed the issue quickly. He resolved the issue quickly as well, and then spent some time checking to see if we might have any other issues that we might not have noticed yet. I plan to call Cardinal anytime we need plumbing services going forward.

Excellent work, great care taken, and they took the time to make sure everything was working properly before they left.
