Description of Work: I was very pleased with Campbell Moving and Storage. Pack up was prompt and efficient. Pack out took about half a day. They packed up our two motorcycles and took very good care to secure them in the truck. When we had a problem at the other end (the move was from Virginia to Michigan), and were not prepared to receive our household goods as planned, they graciously gave us the extra two days we asked them for without extra charge. Everything arrived in excellent shape. Not a single item was damaged or broken. Our new home is on a dirt road and our driver did an excellent job of backing the truck into our long curvy driveway in the woods. The motorcycles also arrived without scratches or dings. And the estimate was slightly higher than what we actually paid. We were very pleased, and would use Campbell Moving and Storage again. I would recommend this company to anyone making a long distance move.

Description of Work: Campbell's movers arrived on time, packed our entire 3 level townhome and a large storage unit. They moved us without incident or issue in 1 day and in 1 trip. They placed everything where we wanted it and reassembled the beds. The movers were extremely professional and nice. They turned a stressful life event into a day that I reflect on with fond memories.

Description of Work: I moved 8 times while I was in the Army and never had a professional move like this. In a 4,500 square foot house of furniture not one item was broken or even scratched during the move! The team showed up when they said they would, they worked quickly and efficiently, all team members were respectful and they did an incredible job of protecting my furniture and household goods. The cost I paid for this high level of service was exactly what they quoted. I couldn't be more satisfied.

They came to my house for a consultation and had great suggestions about things I could do to make the move easier and more efficient. His estimate on how long it would take and the cost was right on. They arrived right on time and were very professional. I highly recommend Campbell Moving.

Description of Work: The crew from Campbell Moving packed our glassware, lamps, and uninstalled furniture and loaded all our furniture and household goods, including many boxes we had packed previously, from our home. They did a local move where they unloaded and set up all furniture. Wayne worked with us on the quote and Jonathan lead the moving team. Jonathan is extremely professional and courteous.

Description of Work: They packed us up and put our stuff in storage. Brought a hard-working team and got it done quickly. It will be awhile before the stuff is out of storage, so I won't know for certain until then how well our things were packed. They seemed to do a good job, though, so far.

Description of Work: Moving can be extremely stressful. Not with Campbell Moving! They arrived on time and each member of the team introduced themselves. We did a quick walk-through to go over what we were taking to our new residence and what should go to storage. Then they immediately got to work. They were the hardest working movers I have ever dealt with. This was a long distance move and they were able to finish everything in 1 day as we had requested. They were careful with all of our stuff, including thoroughly wrapping all our furniture to prevent any scratches. They were always courteous and a pleasure to work with (although they did all the work). We have moved 6 times in the last 11 years and this was by far the best experience. I can't speak highly enough about this company and their employees. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Description of Work: They moved most of a 1 bedroom townhouse into a 1 bedroom apt. The extra furniture was moved into another house. They arrived on time and were very attentive to the antiques. No one else had been able to move a queen bed up or down the stairs. (Previous tenants went through the 2nd level bedroom window.) They got the bed down without marking the walls. Wardrobe boxes were included. I had underestimated the quantity of time needed. They had realized that the quantity was more than I had allowed. The team of 3 workers worked as quickly and efficiently as they could. There was just a lot of stuff. I have used them in the past and would use them again.

Description of Work: We used Campbell Moving to shift furniture during the renovation of our large condo. We had called several movers to request temporary storage of our furniture during renovation work but did not find anyone. The solution was to shift furniture out of one half while workers installed floors/carpeting and painted the other half. We live in a double unit and requested their service 3 times, (1)to shift furniture from one side of the apartment to the other, (2)then to move it back after the renovation of that side was finished and shift the furniture over from the other half, and (3) to move the furniture back into place. They also took down 50 boxes of books to storage in the basement, and brought them up again on the final move. The movers were very professional and efficient.

Description of Work: We hired Campbell Moving not just as movers, but also for some help with packing, as I am a pregnant momma on bed rest and my husband could only get so much done by himself. I asked for availability and a ballpark estimate over the phone first, late afternoon on a Wednesday. They confirmed that they had available trucks and crew for moving the following week (which is what I asked for) and they were able to send someone out to do a free estimate that Friday. The estimator was quick, but thorough, and very straightforward. I confirmed with the estimator that we wanted to use their service and set a time for the packers to come the following Wednesday (yesterday) and the movers to come Thursday (today). On Monday, two days before scheduled packing day, I received a call confirming the service days and asking for an email address to send a copy of the work order, which I received that same day. Packing day the team leader called to let us know the time they would arrive, which was within the 30-minute window I'd been told over the phone 2 days prior, and they did indeed arrive at that time. After introductions and thoroughly reviewing what should be packed, in what preferred order, and how it should be labeled (some items were being placed in different rooms at the new place), the team of three set to work. They were quick and efficient, friendly and respectful, and finished in the estimated time. The following day, moving day, they also called to say when they'd arrive (within the original time frame given) and arrived at that time. The team leader and a crew member from the previous day came, along with two more men. The team leader explained that re-evaluating what we had after packing, it was determined the job could be best done with a total of 4 men, instead of just 3. We reviewed together that this was not what I'd originally been quoted in the estimate, but in exchange, they were not charging their usual rate for 4 men (so it only cost $20 more per hour). As like the day before, they then set to work quickly and efficiently. As mentioned, I am a pregnant momma on bedrest, and they waited as long as feasible to put the couch in the truck, then as long as possible for the bed, for my comfort. Unloading at the new place went fairly smoothly as well, with only 2 or 3 re-directs of boxes needing to be made when they were placed in the wrong room (and to their credit, one of those was due to a miscommunication between my husband and myself). They made sure that the bed was set up again properly and that the couch was exactly where we wanted, as they knew these items were of the most importance to us. Though we cannot know for sure until fully unpacked, nothing appeared to have taken any damage, and they were very mindful of how items were padded and protected, items as well as door frames, stair rails, etc. The only possible downside I can even think of is that I wish they had used more of our own boxes for packing (I'd been told they'd use as many of our own as possible, to help cut costs), but in the end, they are the pros and know best whether a box is sturdy/reliable or not. Also, the cost was still under the estimate we'd been given, so definitely a win-win. We'd use these guys again in a heartbeat!
