Leon came to my home to do an estimate about 6 wks before the move. He was on time, thorough, polite and very informative. He made suggestions of things I could do to reduce the costs of the move eg move my plants and pictures to the home a few days before the move), and also pointed out things that it wasn't worth my time/trouble do to - it would be better to let the movers do them. I had several moving companies do estimates, and not only was Campbell the one I liked the best, they had the most competitive estimate. On the move day itself, there was a minor miscommunication - Leon and I had agreed that the guys would come at 8 instead of the usual 9 am start. This hadnt been made clear to the crew, and about 8:30 I got a call saying they'd just realized I expected them at 8. They arrived shortly and got right to work. Everything went smoothly and quickly at the old home. In fact, the only mishap in the entire move was when the crew disassembled a sliding glass door handle so that they could fit a couch out the door. A screw broke, and they were not able to reassemble the door handle mechanism. Other than this, everything was great - I didnt have so much as one glass broken. Overall, the crew was hard working and very thoughtful about taking care of our possessions and also the new wood floors and paint in our new home. They laid these blue runners over the floor and one of the guys even created a pad made of cardboard for the landing and walls in the stairwell corner, since that was an area which would see a lot of traffic and was likely to get "dinged". We totally love our new floors, and the sight of these guys treating the home so carefully really won my heart.Things went smoothly as we unpacked, with the guys quickly sorting the furniture and boxes into the right rooms, and reassembling the furniture as well. At one point, they saw me running around to try to get those little wood-protecting pads on the feet of all the furniture as it was coming in the door. They took the initiative to put them on the furniture without me even asking. They were so thoughtful! They even rearranged things in a couple rooms when I changed my mind about where I wanted specific pieces. At the end of a long, hot day of moving, I was pleased and surprised to find that we'd finished early and the total costs were actually less than my original estimate of $1620. I would definitely recommend Campbell movers to you - they are a high quality group of people and you won't be sorry you called them!

Three movers (Roberto, Oscar and William) arrived at our house five minutes early and finished in exactly six hours (according to estimate). They were polite, efficient, careful and hardworking! They treated my antiques with the utmost care and were agreeable when I changed my mind about where to place an item or two. Bill and Andy were also great to work with when scheduling and quoting rates. A+ service!

Overall, I had a great experience with Campbell Moving. The 3 man crew was 10 minutes early for the appointment and called about 30 minutes in advance to tell me when they would be there. They were very fast and efficient with loading the truck and wrapped all furniture. Because of the care they took with wrapping everything, none of my belongings were damaged. The guys took about 5 hours to get everything moved, which I thought was pretty good for getting everything out of my three story walk-up. I will definitely recommend Campbell Moving to my friends.

I was very happy with the team of workers. They were so dedicated and I was very impressed. They were there from 8 am until 10 pm at night. They were amazing! The person that did the estimate of the project should have sent more people to do the job. He also should have sent a larger truck. The truck that they sent was too small. I had to go to their place 3 times with my SUV loaded. Since I paid for their services by the hour, I ended up having to pay for them to wait 15 minutes at 2 toll booths because their company didn't have an easy pass. This was a little frustrating because it seemed like the company had a lack of planning. If cost is the most important criteria to you, they may be the right go with. If less work is most important to you, they might not be the best company for you.

The movers were nice, careful, courteous, and worked hard. They were on time on boh days. I have now unpacked just about everything and nothing was broken. I have absolutely no complaints about the move, and have recommended them to friends.

I spoke with Andy initially to get the estimate and he was very friendly and informative and answered all of my questions on the initial call. I called back to confirm the schedule and spoke with someone else and then Andy called the next day to follow up. My only concern before the move was that they charge extra to use a credit card because of the fees they incur and the fact that Campbell's is a small business. To be honest, that was almost a deal breaker since I prefer to put things on my card, collect my rewards and it is easier for tracking purposes, but in the end, I decided to stick with Campbell's and pay by check. The movers arrived exactly on time and got right to work, wrapping all the furniture with pads, tape and shrink wrap, as Andy said they would. It took a little longer to get things on the truck than I expected, but I think that was due to all the prep work they did on the furniture and it had nothing to do with the guys standing around. The guys were very personable and responsive to our requests on various pieces of furniture. They also did a good job unloading and placing the furniture, even moving a couple of items after the initial placement when I realized that I wanted something moved. At the end of the job, when I realized I left the printed out Angie's coupon at my condo, they still honored the discount. The only slightly negative thing I would say is that the original estimated time I was given, which was based on moving all of our stuff and the furniture was close the time it actually took to move. But we ended up moving most of our non-furniture stuff ourselves and if they had moved all of that, the actual time probably would have been another 1-2 hours, so I'm not sure there was enough of a discussion about the quantity of stuff we had when I got the original estimate. But overall I was very happy with the experience and found the hourly rate very reasonable in comparison to other places I called.

I called Campbell Moving within 3 weeks of move to get a quote. They were extremely helpful over the phone with a quote that was close to the final price (within a $100). They recommended 4 movers for the job which was very important since the move took 9 hours. 3 movers would've increased time and cost. Junior (supervisor) and the movers were punctual (8:30am) and great to work with throughout the day. The guys were very professional and worked straight through lunch until we all took a break around 5pm. No complaints on my end. I even gave them a smiley face on their customer satisfaction survey so they must be good. I will definitely contact them again for my next move.

They were prompt, courteous, worked fast and did a very good job.

They estimated that we needed five guys and two trucks for eight hours for all of hour furnature. I was a little suspicious but in the end, we loaded almost the entire two trucks and the five guys are very professional and worked pretty much non stop for 10 hours to get everything settled in. They only took 25 mins off for lunch and got back to work right away. They are very attentative and have great personalities. Overall we are very happy with the move. Nothing is broken, there were only a few small scratches and they pointed those out to us right away.

I hired Campbell's Moving to do a short notice local move from a 3 story townhouse to another 3 story townhouse about 1/8 of a mile apart. I scheduled the appointment with Andy who was very courteous and professional on the phone. I packed most of the house and only had them move the large, heavier, bulky items. The three man crew showed up with the moving truck on time and started work immediately. They took care to protect the flooring and got to work right away. The crew came with plenty of moving blankets and wrapped all of the furniture and did not damage anything...there weren't even any nicks on the walls! I was thoroughly impressed with the crew, as they managed to do this grueling move in 105 degree heat, with minimal water breaks in about 5.5 hours. There were no hidden costs and I am completely satisfied with the crew and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you very much guys!

I cannot speak highly enough about the service I received from Bill and his crew. I called with 2 issues: 1) what I needed moved was relatively small but impossible for me to do by myself, and 2) I needed it done relatively quickly. Although Bill's business encompasses moves of a much greater magnitude, and he was booked solid, he made available a 2-man crew who accomplished the job swiftly, carefully, and within a very short period of time. They were professional and did as I asked. And all of this was done in 100+ degrees! I am not a young person and I find it's very difficult to identify businesses that will entertain small jobs. On July 21, Bill Campbell was interested in helping a person out of a jam, and that kind of service is extremely rare these days. THANK YOU BILL!!

I had a good experience with this company minus one guy rolling around with a hole in his shorts who was commando.

I spoke with one of the owners to get an initial estimate and he was helpful with tips for preparing for the move and gave a good explanation of what to expect. He also asked detail questions to understand how the conditions of my move would affect the price charged. A crew of three arrived on time and first examined our condominium with me to understand how they would bring out items and load the truck. One worker stayed in the apartment to prep furniture with padding, wrap matresses in plastic and gather loose items together. The other two workers carried items to the truck and loaded it. I was at the exterior door to our aparatment building (a requirement of the building during a move) and could see how the furniture had been packed as the workers brought items to the truck. Furniture was been carefully wrapped in padding. Matresses and cushions had been wrapped in plastic. Loose items had been carefully protection and were gathered in larger containers. At the new house the workers quickly moved items in and were very careful negotiating interior stairs to the second floor and basement. They adequately protected the wood floors and there was no damage to floors, walls or ceilings. The complete move from start to finish went very smoothly and without incident.

The deal on our house came through pretty quickly and we didn't have time to pack up our belongings. I contacted Campbell's for an estimate on moving 6-7 rooms worth of furniture - no boxes. Andy promptly replied that he had a crew available for that day and estimated around $900 with no hidden charges for shrink wrap or moving blankets. I was given an arrival time of between 8:30 and 9am depending on traffic. Andy called back two days prior to say they were still on schedule. Carlos called me at about 8:20am from the road that morning and said they were in traffic and it might be more like 9:30. He and his crew arrived at 9:10 and they got right to work. We had done nothing to "clear the way" and they wrapped everything and moved it out without issue. Our new place was just 5 miles away, so we didn't incur much travel time between. Even still, it seemed unloading was done in a flash. There wasn't a single bit of damage to our furniture nor to either our old or new homes. With the Angie's List discount, the whole thing ran under $1000 and we couldn't be more pleased. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend using Campbell's.

I called and they took my name and number and said someone would call me back in a hour or so. No one called and I had quotes from others, so I dropped it. It is hard to rate someone in this situation. For all I know these guys are great - like their profile says. But I figured it was worth mentioning in case this is the beginning of a new trend.

Superb. Used them twice for two moves into new home. Good price, good service... the crew hustled the whole time. Very positive attitudes. Quality work. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Leon is the best!

The owner, was mildly aggressive and pushy over the phone and therefore, I felt uncomfortable during the booking process. I must admit, though, he was right: the guys are good.

I called up Campbell and described my move - we already have everything boxed, moving from a high rise condo in Arlington, VA to a single family home about a half hour away, including stopping by a storage unit about 5 minutes away from the new home. After briefly describing about how much stuff we have (2 bedroom condo, one of the bedrooms is an office), I was given a rough estimate based on an hourly rate to have 3 movers. I scheduled the move date for 2 weeks later, they were available the day I wanted to do the move. On the day of the move they showed up on time. My building's loading dock had several other trucks waiting to make deliveries, and while they were waiting to get in to the loading dock, 2 of the movers came up and started disassembling and wrapping up furniture. Once everything was loaded up, we drove to the new house. They very quickly got everything unloaded. I directed them on where to put everything, they set up all of the furniture in the places that I wanted. We then went to the storage unit and they very quickly got everything in the unit loaded on to the truck, and then unloaded in to the house. I was very impressed with how efficient all 3 guys were at getting lots of heavy stuff in and out. Overall, including the time waiting for the loading dock to open and the driving time, it was about 7 hours.

They were on time, got straight to work finished the move in one day. Just a couple of wall dings from trying to get our large treadmill out of an awkward basement.

Setup was each. Initial message sent from Angie's List then a call back. There was some initial confusion, I called the day before the move to have an extra man help us finish packing the day of the move. For one reason or another, the change never made it to dispatch. I called and complained that morning, and they sent two extra guys right off, only charging for one. Very responsive and great experience overall.

I chose this company because of the wonderful reviews on Angie's List. I hired them for a 1 bedroom apartment move from Arlington to Fairfax. They scheduled me for the first morning appointment on the date of the move. After waiting over 90 mins for their arrival (traffic in the DC area can be very bad), I called to check on the delay. I was told that they had rescheduled my move for later in the day, but "forgot" to call and inform me. There was even a note in my file that said "Call customer about time." The movers were now scheduled to arrive between 12 - 1pm. They showed up at 1:45pm. Unfortunately, I was moving into a condo and had carefully scheduled the timing of the move and paid a move-in fee and a refundable damage deposit. My HOA was very flexible with the changes, but ultimately another supervisor had to be scheduled and the work went over the 5pm cut-off for moves. I was particularly annoyed when the manager who made the scheduling error called me about half way through the move to ask how it was going. Apparently not for my benefit, but because he had just scheduled the crew for ANOTHER move that evening, and was hoping my move wouldn't take too much longer. Full disclosure - the company added an extra employee to the move, while charging me only for the original 3 person crew. It took just the minimum amount of time. The crew was very hardworking, polite, and careful with my belongings. This is why my rating is so mixed.

The team did a fantastic job. They were punctual, worked at a fast pace without breaks and were willing to accommodate any of my special requests. They also did zero damage to any of my items or my home. They were worth every penny.

The movers arrived on time and they did a very thorough job of wrapping everything in blankets. Everything arrived safely. It was well worth the money.

Wonderful! We had a great experience with Campbell Moving. We moved from Silver Spring to Great Falls, our initial contact, Leo Krementz, was responsive, courteous and knowledgeable. He came to our home one Saturday morning, took a look and gave us a quick estimate for packing, moving and both. His estimate was right on. He also told us that they were flexible re. the packing...we could do as much or as little as we wanted and then they would adjust their schedule accordingly. About 2 weeks before the move, he called back to confirm our move date. On the 2 days of our move, the 5 movers got there right on time (they were actually early the second day). They were extremely courteous, and careful with our belongings. They moved quickly and efficiently. Nothing was broken, and they actually finished ahead of schedule. Great move!!!
