This was a weekday local move within Maryland. Campbell provided a job estimate via e-mail ahead of time, based on a list of items I described and sent with photos. The 3-man crew showed up ahead of schedule and got to work right away. The entire project took almost 6 hours to complete, and they worked hard every second. Everything of mine survived the trip well, too. This move had to be made on short notice, so Campbell's team had to pack many items that morning. Every item was so carefully packed and moved, I later found an open bottle of wine (with a stopper) that had been packed by the team. It made the entire trip to my new home without leaking or spilling a drop! Not one item was lost or broken. The crew was professional, helpful, careful, and dedicated to getting it done right. The company even honored a 5% Angie's List discount later, after I forgot to give the crew chief my coupon on moving day. Excellent work every step of the way. . . from the home office to the crew on site. I would use Campbell again for sure.

They have been very easy to deal with. A piece of furniture broke but they are doing a nice job of resolving that issue. They said they are going to send someone to fix it. I thought the price was very reasonable. I had a one bedroom, one bath so it wasn't a whole lot of stuff. I definitely recommend Campbell Moving.

I actually had 2 moves, simultaneously, one from a large storage unit and the other from a 2nd floor, 2 bed room apartment. Campbell Movers did a wonderful job from start to finish. I was overwhelmed with packing the apartment and the guys did not hesitate to pitch in and help. One set of movers at the storage, the other at the apartment, both crews were terrific, No slacking, helpful, timely, courteous, the list goes on and on........ I was stressing for NO reason, I would highly recommend Campbell Movers.

The initial packing of items to be moved took a little longer than anticipated. However, all of our items were carefully and professionally packed, handled and delivered undamaged. I would certainly use these professionals again if the need arose. I would also recommend Campbell Moving Inc to anyone needing this type of service.

Wayne & Andy were great getting us ready for the move, extremely helpful answering questions and coming to the house a couple of times. The packers and movers were fantastic! This was the first part of the move, from Herndon to a storage facility, 2nd part will be from storage to NJ. Hope that will be as smooth!

Awesome! The crew showed up right on time and worked at an amazing pace until the job was completed. The guys made sure everything was protected during the move, and worked tirelessly. They were courteous, professional, and took great care with all our furnishings while working non-stop until everything was moved and set up in the new place. First of all, they came out and surveyed my apartment to decide how big of a team to send and exactly what materials they would need, which I thought was great. I ended up with a three person team, which it turns out we definitely needed. They were on time, and they were speedy, and polite. They wrapped all the furniture in blankets and shrink wrap, and cleaned it all up when they were done. But the best part was getting my desk upstairs... it is a very narrow stair case and for a while, we weren't sure it would fit, because it had built in shelving on top of the desk. It took quite a bit of maneuvering and much lifting, but they got it up the stairs, without mangling my walls. Then, it turned out to be too big to fit through the door to the office! So we had to take the door off it's hinges, and all was well.

I couldn't recommend them more highly. They were prompt, professional, careful with our things, and reasonably priced. When preparing our things to move out of our home, they wrapped everything in a blanket, then shrink wrap. They took the time to load all our items and boxes carefully so nothing was broken. When unloading in the new home, they first covered the handrails and hardwood floors with blankets to protect them. There were many heavy items, such as a large washer and dryer that they had to move up three flights of stairs. They did so without making one scratch on the walls. From the first telephone contact to the time the work was completed it was pretty stress-free. The initial phone contact was extremely helpful. They were available on very short notice. Ours was a fairly small job, so 2 men were assigned, and I think that was perfect. Any more and they would have been in each other's way. Truck size was also quite appropriate; they had plenty of room - I'd rather that than finding not enough! We tried to be very exact with what we described on the phone, and I think that's a step to success. We'd made a full listing of everything we wanted moved. Since there was not an on-site visit before move, that allowed them to gauge the team and truck size, and they did it perfectly. The 2 men were very pleasant, but very work oriented. No sitting around - they came to move us, and they did! They were actually about 15 minutes early, which was nice. They were very careful with the materials; we had no damage at all, and everything that left the house ended up in the apartment! They did a very nice job wrapping everything - wood was well wrapped in moving blankets and upholstered items were fully plastic wrapped. We had wanted to move a few very meaningful wall hangings (better we broke them if they got broken, fortunately none did!), the men very kindly allowed us to use all the blankets we wanted, as we were told they would. They had a GPS, so they knew exactly how to go door-to-door, no driving all around. We followed along, too. On the receiving end, the guys were just as efficient. No wasted time at all. And they completely cleaned up everything, and reassembled the bed. My only issue was that I would recommend mattress and box spring boxes to ensure those items would be moved cleanly. We didn't have that, and I don't know if it would have been an option to pay for. Nothing happened to ours, but I remember all of my military (long distance) moves, and that was an absolute requirement. Again, nothing happened, but I had expected that boxes would be used. I would definitely use Campbell again for any other short distance moves. There was a 4 hour minimum, and the whole job (travel and all) was completed within that timeframe, for us - surely a combination of the amount we were moving, but also in no small part to the efficiency and hard work of the two men assigned. An "A+" experience. No horror stories at all! Thanks, Campbell Movers!

I was feeling very stressed leading up to this move and was not sure what to expect from Campbell's. My first interaction with Andy Campbell was positive, so I was hopeful. My experience with Campbell's remained positive throughout the move. From the first on-time phone call from the driver, Jonathan, on the day of the move, to the last wave as they left my new home in Frederick, the move was seamless. The team -- Jonathan, Roberto, and Freddy -- were exemplary. They were skilled, professional, and courteous. They worked extremely hard to get the job done. I would recommend Campbell's to anyone considering a move. It was a real stress relieve

We needed to move on relatively short notice. Bill Campbell came out within a day of being called for an estimate. Gave a comprehensive explanation of their services, insurance coverage, and a cost estimate, which proved high, for packing, moving, and unpacking. We moved our books and most of our artwork. Campbell packed and moved everything else including china and crystal. Nothing was broken and they found some stuff I had forgotten we owned. Three packers arrived the day before the move, followed by a four man moving crew the next day and three unpackers the 3rd day. The move from a single family home to a top floor in a high rise condominium went like clock work. In hind sight, it would have been better to have just one person help us unpack that way I would have known where everything was put. But I found everything within a couple of days. All in all it couldn't have gone any more smoothly. It was an excellent experience.

The team was so helpful and polite as we explained what was going and what was staying. The many stairs didn't faze them at all. They took great care in wrapping all my mother-in-law's beautiful old furniture even though they were speedy speedy speedy. They helped make a very stressful move a pleasant one. We would certainly use they again.

I called and booked them 3 days before my move and gave me an early appointment on a Saturday which is exactly what I was looking for. I was provided an accurate estimate 3 hours move time + 1 hour their travel time at $120/hr. They arrived approximately 15 min late but called to let me know they would be late...this was ok. I added several items beyond my original order and they didn't complain one bit. They were extremely careful with all of our furniture removing it from the original house and while loading it into our new house. They worked extremely hard the whole time. Because of the extra furniture it took an extra hour but they were fine with that and I was as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone...extremely happy.

I contacted Campbell moving at the start of September for a move towards the end of September. Their response was prompt and the next day Bill was home for a survey unlike many others who would only give me an estimate over the phone. He explained everything about his company and also gave tips on how to save time (and money) once the movers arrived. I also wasn't sure of the exact date of the move, so he allowed me the flexibility to move that date around Once the movers arrived, they were very professional as well. They arrived at exactly the said time and all three people who arrived were very good. They only took one little break in the 3 hours they spent at my house loading the truck which I believe they needed because of the heavy lifting involved. Unloading the truck was equally efficient. In the end, we were within the estimate that Bill provided. I don't intend to move for the next few years, but I would recommend Campbell moving to anyone who is looking to move.

I first contacted Campbell Moving because of their good reviews on Angie's. I received prompt responses to my inquiries and was assured by Bill that while normally the his team starts at 0900, they could be at our apartment by 0800 on a Saturday morning. This was particularly important because someone else in our building had reserved the loading dock for 1000 to 1400. On the day of the move 8 AM came and went. I tried calling the main number at around 815 and left a voice mail to see if there were any issues. The team showed up at 9 AM. I'm not sure if there was some sort of problem since there was a fairly big language barrier with most of the team. The team was nice enough. I wasn't quite happy with the way they handled a large box clearly marked with a "fragile" and "this side up", but nothing was broken. Once all was packed (around 1030 and yes someone was waiting for the loading dock) - I met the team downstairs. They wanted to make sure they had the right address and we went over the basic route as best as we could. At that point they showed me the paperwork which someone had written in bold capital letters PICKUP AT 0800 AM!! So much for that. I asked if they had a GPS and they said they did. To be sure, I followed them along the way... they took the longest route I've ever taken from right by Regan National to get to 395 South, about 15 minutes to get to the highway by way of Pentagon City; then they passed the exit they needed to get off of. I got to the new place at 11 and waited until 1130 for them to show up. They said something about the GPS telling them to keep going. Everything else went fairly standard. I was a bit appalled by the hour travel time I got charged given their inane route. Maybe it was an off day, but I was pretty disappointed in light of the high reviews I read for Campbell.

Our move could not have gone better. I have moved a number of times in my life and it seemed like each move had been worse than the previous one -- and those were all just me moving my things from an apartment. So I was expecting the worst for this move too, especially since my boyfriend and I were moving all of our things from a single family home to another single family home. Wayne came over to our house and did an estimate. I was so impressed that I scheduled my move with Campbell on the spot and cancelled all of the other in-home estimates I had scheduled for the next few days. He gave me lots of useful information and gave me a very reasonable cost estimate. The day of the move, Jonathan and crew showed up a couple of minutes early! They got right to work -- I have never seen a crew of movers move that fast. They finished the move from our old house in 3 hours. They went directly to the location of our new house and began work immediately. Overall, they finished the move -- including travel -- in 7 hours -- and the total cost came in about $385 under estimate!! Yes -- you read that correctly!! I couldn't believe it. And they were super nice to boot. I have already recommended Campbell to good friends with an impending move as well as our realtor.

Let me start by saying that the Campbell movers were extremely preofessional and courteous. They were able to accomadate to a changing schedule and last minute adjustments. They were also extremely discrete even during tough situations and were able to keep their focus on the move while other events were taking place. We are beyond impressed with the company and will hire them again without a doubt.

I have moved four times in the last decade. For the first three, I used the same company as I was very happy with the service provided, but I decided to give Campbell a try this time around due to their lower prices and strong reviews. The move itself went spectacularly well. Campbell was able to schedule a four-person crew, which made it possible to do the pack and move in a single day. and the crew's hustle meant that the final bill was 25% less than the estimate. If that's the case, why the lower grade for professionalism? I got a phone call the day after my move from the crew leader from another Campbell crew saying the truck would be pulling up to my old apartment building in 45 minutes. Try as I might to convince him that I'd already moved and that he should call the Campbell office (who I immediately called, but no one was answering early on a Saturday), he still drove to the building and then called very irate that I wasn't there. Eventually he understood that Campbell had moved me the previous day. While the scheduling mistake is forgivable, being put in the middle of the situation and not getting support from the Campbell office was unpleasant.
