They could have been fast with delivery. Nothing was broken.

Our new home was not going to be ready for several months when our old home sold. So we needed a short term storage option and Campbell Moving fit the bill. They were competively priced with other moving companies in our area and the estimator was right on target with the amount of crates and packing materials we would require. The day of the move, the van pulled up at 8:30 as promised and the crew got to work immediately. All the furniture was wrapped. The crates were on the van at the house and they were loaded and secured on site. Delivery day was 3 months later and had set up a date that had to be changed due to a bad weather forecast. Not a problem. Everything made it to the new house in great shape-no major damage. The company representative, Paul, was very responsive when we had a question or concern. Responded back to my emails quickly. Not planning on moving again for awhile but would definitely use Campbell again.

I bought the deal from Angie's list for $399 for packing services only. The reason for purchasing this service is because I did not have proper packing materials and I wanted the professional to pack the china, etc. My receipt did not show anything other than 4 hours of packing with 2 people. There was also no mention of charging for 1 hour travel time. Day before they were supposed to come and pack the owner Matt Campbell tells me that the packing material is additional const. I told him that I did not see that on the receipt I had printed and that because we are only packing 1 room - kitchen - it should only take 2-3 hours maximum and as they are charging flat fee of $399 as minimum, could they do it without charging the material extra. He said he would. After packing was done the following day, he called and left me a message asking how the packing went and wanted to make sure that his people did not charge for the material. Unfortunately, his people did charge for the material plus 1 hour travel time. In short, I had paid $399 for minimum 4 hours of packing plus $93 more for packing materials totaling $492 for the packing service that only took 2 hours. When I mentioned this to Angie's list, they took the vendor side. Angie's list, now selling "Deals" is not reliable company for the consumers to get good reliable vendors.

Overall, I recommend Campbell's. They came recommended to me by my parents and a good friend - both of whom had used them in the past 12 months. If it weren't for their personal recommendations, the Yelp reviews probably would have kept me from calling them at all. Wayne came out to provide a quote, walked me through everything, and answered my questions. We talked about the bad reviews, and his passion for the business came through in his responses. After a few other bids came in, we decided to go with Campbell's. After a few quick emails with Wayne, we had everything scheduled. But there was no official contract beyond the quote he provided. From there, communications became an issue. We moved at the absolute busiest time of the year - the week after school was out for the summer. So hiccups were to be expected. I was quoted a tractor trailer, but on moving day, a single 26 ft truck showed up. I knew our things wouldn't fit, but was told they were sending another truck later in the morning. Our foreman, Lance, was phenomenal. As was the entire crew. They wrapped every piece of furniture, and took great care loading the truck. I was simply amazed how quickly and skillfully they worked. But as I expected, the truck was full well before the house was packed. And there was no 2nd truck in sight. Lance and his crew finished moving everything into the garage so that things would move quickly when the next truck arrived. With that done, the first truck left. Then we waited for 3 hours for the 2nd truck to arrive. This was a Sunday - and we had no way to get in touch with anyone at Campbell's. I had no cell phone numbers, just the main office line. And you can imagine, no one was answering. I left a message, and about 30 minutes later, we got a call from the foreman of the 2nd truck telling us he was on his way. This was the 3rd job for that crew that day. They were clearly overbooked. But this crew was just as pleasant and efficient as the first team. They loaded the truck within 45 minutes, and off they went. I had communicated that we were closing at 10am, and that the unloading crew should be at our new house around noon. We ran past the new house before closing to check out last minute fix, and saw the moving crew was already there - at 9am. I was happy to see that Lance was again our foreman, but he had no idea he wasn't supposed to be there until noon. They left, and returned at noon. It was so hot and humid that day. But Lance and the crew hustled to get the truck unloaded. Again, first class job. But they had to leave and return with the 2nd truck. Again, losing time. This time about 1.5 hours. The bill was higher than quoted - and I spoke with the front office about the discrepancies. Wayne was very understanding and was quick to resolve the issue. It took a few days to get ahold of anyone, but it was handled exactly how I'd hoped. The experience wasn't perfect - but nothing ever is. Ultimately, our items were well taken care of. We suffered no scratches on the furniture, zero breakage (aside from a few items that I packed poorly), and really enjoyed the crew. And the price was more than fair. I would document things better next time, and over-communicated expected times. But other than that, they did exactly what they promised. Though I have no plans of moving for the next 20 years, I would certainly use them again.

Campbell Moving and Storage Inc gets top marks for excellent service. We were nervous about hiring movers after hearing so many horror stories but Campbell Moving and Storage proved them false! From the initial meeting to get an estimate to the actual move, everyone at Campbell Moving and Storage was professional and very responsive. The moving crew showed up early, worked hard all day and had us packed out on time! The men on the moving crew were very professional and friendly, talking time to ask specific questions on what needed to be moved and were very helpful throughout the day. I would highly recommend Campbell Moving and Storage to anyone looking for movers! They are fantastic.

Campbell moving was quick to come out and do an in-home flat rate cost for us. We moved out of state, so this was important to us as opposed to other companies that did estimates based on their approximation of weight. We had a 7 companies do in-home estimates and Campbell came in as the 3rd lowest. Of all they had the best combined recommendations on a local FB group, the BB and Angies List, and they could get our stuff to us within 2 days. We also chose them because they were a smaller company and we knew they would be using their employees as opposed to day-laborers. In the past we have run into a lot of hidden costs and damaged items when going with the cheapest companies, so we really wanted to go with a reputable company this time. Down to the move: Showed up on time, got down to business and worked worked worked. No hidden costs for wrapping our furniture, etc as we have run in to in the past. Truly a flat rate. One complaint is that the boxes that were very clearly labeled to be kept upright in a certain direction were not, which was frustrating. Our truck was also a day late due to mechanical issues, but we were given an fair credit for it without any hassle. The unloading crew was fantastic. They took the time to understand where everything was going, made sure our furniture was reassembled correctly and had every box in the correct room per the direction of my husband.

I was pleased with the promptness in estimating the move and setting up the logistical arrangements. The price was reasonable for both the moving and storage. I also paid $100 for an insurance policy with a $250 deductible. All went well on the initial move out from my townhouse in Alexandria on April 23, 2014, with the exception of a mosaic table top that the movers broke (and acknowledged). The items were stored at their facility from April to September and then were moved to my home in Tennessee on September 19, 2014. The move-in was mostly okay except that a bed frame was assembled incorrectly without all the fasteners (some of which I found in another room) and I had to completely re-do it. One furniture item arrived damaged beyond repair. Upon unpacking I also found a crystal platter and a ceramic lamp were broken and a knob missing from another piece of furniture. I contacted the company on October 7 to advise that I needed to file an insurance claim on the two major items that were valuable enough to claim, namely the mosaic top broken on move-out and a muffin stand that arrived damaged. I did not receive a response to my e-mail on October 7, so I sent another e-mail on November 18, which they responded to immediately and requested documentation on the damage (pictures, estimates, etc.). I sent the information on the same day. I inquired again on January 2 and February 2 this year and I never received even the courtesy of a response, much less a check. So I tried snail mail and sent a letter to the company dated May 27, 2015, with a copy of the documentation, requesting their prompt attention to paying my insurance claim. Here it is now, 5 weeks later, and I still have not received a check. It's impossible for me to recommend anyone use this company if they will not pay off on their insurance! Doesn't that mean they can just damage your stuff with no recourse for you? Update as of December 14, 2015: still no correspondence from the company and no claim settlement

Campbell moving showed up 5 minutes ahead of schedule and there were 4 guys just as promised. They made my whole move totally stress free. I have moved many times and used many movers and never been truly happy with any of the movers I've previously used. Paul from Campbell moving gave me an estimate 2 weeks prior to the move and wrapped up the move 10% lesser than the estimate. They did a nearly full service pack and move for me. I had a few boxes packed with kitchen essentials. And the rest was all them. They packed my whole house and moved it. All of the furniture. All of my clothes and everything else. I moved into a new house, and they took extremely good care of it. They wrapped all the doors and stairways and padded the area where they'd be walking. At the end, every box and funiture was kept where it belonged and Didn't leave a single scratch in the house. Best of all, they did it all with a smile on their face!

All the Campbell staff members were hard-working, professional, and polite. Paul and Wayne worked with us to get a competitive quote for the job which was the price we paid upon delivery. There were no surprise charges. Paul, the sales agent, promptly responded to all calls. The moving crew showed up on time. They worked carefully and without a mess to pack and load. It was amazing how they arranged the items in the truck to fit everything securely so it would not shift during the move. A special shout-out to Mike the driver and his helper Henry who unloaded the truck in NY. They worked constantly and carefully to unload the truck, place all items where we directed, and reassemble furniture. Everything arrived in great condition, even our delicate family heirloom furniture. We certainly would recommend Campbell Moving to anyone making a long distance move.

The crew was excellent! First, I called on Friday praying and hoping for a miracle to get them to move me the following Sunday and they DID! Not to mention, I got an excellent hourly rate from an Angie's List promotion. The 3-man crew called me about 30 minds prior to confirm and they were at our meeting spot before I was. Aside from all this, they moved everything from & to without a single scratch or dent and were the fastest, most efficient crew I've ever seen and I've moved allot locally and around the world! They worked about an hour and half UNDER the estimated time and I was really impressed. I'll definitely be bringing them back in to assist with some additional goods and can say with confidence, I highly recommend them.

I called them at first, Matt answered my phone and he said if I can send him our inventory list to info@campbellmoving.com then he will give me estimate by the end of the day. I waited for one day, on the third day I called them to confirm if they got my email. I think Wayne is the guy picking up the phone and he told me they got my email and will send the quote by the end of that day. The conversation with Matt and Wayne went very well, they are very friendly and easy to talk. However, I still haven't got my quote. the next day, my husband called and they told us if we can forward the email to Danny@campbellmoving.com so they will give us the quote as soon as possible. Can't remember how many days passed and now I still don't have my quote when our moving day is in 2 weeks.

Was supposed to move us. Showed up a hole day late. Was supposed to send 4 guys and a 30 foot truck. Sent three guys and a shorter truck. Took 5 hours longer than predicted. Took so long I missed by wife's baby shower. Did not move all of our stuff on that day had to come back. When they came back, they came 4 hours early. Owner only compensated this huge mess up by only charging us what the estimate was. Not good enough. Actual movers were courteous and careful.

The services were great. They were on time and they were agreeable about going to different locations.

Everything went great. Called to let me know when they were going to show up. Were very quick upon arrival. Packed quickly. Overall service took around 6 hours. The special was for 499 which included 26 ft truck, 3 guys, and 4 hours. Ended up paying an extra $200 but was worth it. Would have minded paying if they didn't move as quickly as they did. Wife and I's furniture more difficult to take apart than I thought. VERY PLEASED AND SATISFIED with this company.

This entire situation has dragged on for entirely too long. I previously rated Campbell moving as an A because they have moved me twice before this most recent move in January. I purchased replacement value insurance for all three of my moves. The trouble started during the second move they completed for me in July 2014. The movers damaged a full sized, expensive mirror by chipping off the side of the mirror. I kept reaching out to Campbell moving in both email and phone, and they never responded. I let this go until they were scheduled to complete the third move for me in January, which is the service that this review is in reference to. In January, they moved my furniture. It took twice as long as originally scheduled because the truck broke down in the middle of the move. Then, the men damaged several very expensive pieces of furniture, including an antique hand-carved armoire among other things. On top of this, they took the mirror from the July 2014 move and committed to fixing it. I took pictures of the damage from the January move and reached out several times (phone and email) in January and February concerning both the January damage and the now missing mirrors. All I received was empty promises to send me a claim form. To this day I have not received a claim form, and they have never followed up. My next next follow up will be a lawsuit, as I believe Campbell Moving to be a scam. Now I have nothing but damaged furniture, a missing mirror, and I'm out the money I spent on the insurance. On top of that, the move was way more expensive than the $500 deal I purchased on Angies List. DO NOT USE CAMPBELL! They promise the world but don't deliver. p.s. I should also mention that during the first move, they showed up with an extra mover and tried to force me to pay extra. I had to call someone named Andy to get the lead mover to stop trying to scam me with the extra person he brought along.

They did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone. We thought we got a personal touch which was good. It was a reasonable cost. They're a really good company and the people were friendly and helpful. They did everything we asked them to do. We like them.

They were more than were could imagine, good price, good service and we were very pleased with their services.

A M A Z I N G ..... FROM THE BEGINNING !!! At the first meeting with Paul, I was given a folder with all the necessary information I would need to make this a smooth operation. A class act - from the time the movers (3) arrived until they left. I only had to give directions once. They got in, got it done, and were out of here!!! I was especially impressed how each of the movers treated my belongings as if they were fragile. One less thing to worry about when I sell my townhouse and move across country to my mew home.

For the second time in three years, Campbell Moving and Storage helped me accomplish a local move in Fairfax County, Virginia. When I call them up, either Bill Campbell, the owner, or someone capable of discussing a potential move, to include contract and price, answers the phone and is immediately responsive and polite. The team showed up slightly early and was ready to go; their truck was clean and they brought all necessary moving supplies and tools such as quality handcarts, dollies, covers for quality furniture, etc. The team leader was polite, responsive, and directed his other two members calmly. All three were hard workers and the move was accomplished in minimum time even though the team took great care with my furniture and boxes. Nothing was scratched or damaged in this move. They weren't the absolute cheapest but their quote was competitive, and based on my excellent previous experience with them, I elected to choose Campbell Moving and Storage again. As a former career military officer who served almost three decades and moved 15 times in 29 years, I can heartily and without reservation recommend Campbell Moving and Storage for all your moving needs.

Just like the other companies, I got through Angie's list. My interaction with them was good. My interaction with them was fine. I had no problems.

What was advertised on the website was not what being negotiated over the telephone when I contacted them. When I talked to them, they said that the deal never existed. No one is saying the same thing when I contact them.

The movers arrived on time, stayed on-schedule and got everything done within the time estimate we were given. The guys were hard working and did an excellent job. The only reason I gave them a "B" on their Overall Grade was because when they were done, they tried to charge us $100.00 over what we had been told. I think there was some sort of miscommunication on their end because we were quoted a price that included 2 movers and they sent 3. After working this out, I was charged the correct amount. They were very easy to work with.

No complaints. The guys did more that I expected to get. Disposable padding was a modest additional charge that was well worth it, especially since the furniture went to temporary storage. I highly recommend Campbell moving .

They are pretty good and there was only one minor thing that was broken. The movers were all very nice. When they unloaded me in Richmond they only had 2 movers and they were supposed to have 4. They also did very good with packing my stuff up.
