Builders Fence went out of their way to make my life much easier then it could have been. In order to install the fence correctly I had to have the job done in two phases. First they came out and removed the chain link and installed about 60% of the new fence. Then I had another contractor come in and build a retaining wall along the rear fence line to help with some erosion issues that needed to be resolved before installing the rear portion of the fence. Once the other contractor was finished the fence installers came back out and finished the job. I got estimates from 3 other fence companies before deciding to go through Home Depot's contracting services. The reason I went with Home Depot was because I got nothing but bad vibes from the other companies who came out to give me estimates. Call me crazy but it didn't seem like the other companies really cared about my business. Maybe it was the time of year but it was unsettling especially when you are spending a fortune. Besides the great work they really went out of their way to make the project a success. We have 2 dogs and Walter, the sales rep, seemed more concerned about their freedom than my wife and I did. We knew there would be a gap of about 2 weeks where there wouldn't be a rear fence and that we would have to take the dogs out on leashes. Walter was determined to schedule the work as closely as possible around the start and finish dates of the retaining wall project. Aside from Walter I also worked with Ted during this time and he was able to engineer a way to tie the fence into the side of the retaining wall. He came out and talked with the wall contractor to make sure everyone was on the same page. I went with the Cambium Cypress vinyl fence which looks like wood instead of plain old plastic like white or beige vinyl fences do. It cost a ton of money but was definitely worth it now that the finished product is in place. Overall I am very pleased with the new fence. It was expensive but that is mainly due to the manufacturer of the fence itself. My philosophy is that no one is perfect so I didn't give them straight A's. If you need a fence you should definitely give Builders Fence Co an opportunity to at least come out and give you a quote.

Fence done well, in one day. However an error was made on one of the gates ( size installed was inconsistent with specs and contract) however error was promptly corrected within two days. It looks great! They did a good job matching 2 styles of existing fence.

The estimator (Jack) showed up and listened to what our needs where. We needed an old picket fence removed, and replaced with a new privacy fence. We hadnt decided on vinyl or pressure-treated for the new fence. Jack provided us estimates on both and told us the pros/cons of each product. He also showed us samples of the products. We were very happy with the estimates. We put down 50% as requested, and were told the vinyl fence would be ordered from the manufacturer. We were told that once the fence was received at their office, we would receive a call with an installation date. After 2 1/2 weeks with no update, I contacted Builders Fence to see if the fence had arrived or if they knew an estimated date. The next day, I was contacted by Builders Fence and was told the installation would be the following Monday (6 days later) in the afternoon. On Monday (the installation date) I was at home waiting for the installers. I *assumed* they would be over after lunch (1pm or so). Once it was after 3:00pm, I called and asked if the installers were still coming on Monday as previously reported. Before I got a call back, the installers arrived at my house (after 3:30pm). The installers almost immediately cut our cable/internet line. Seems like the company could have done a better job working with Miss Utility marking the lines. (The lines were marked almost 2 weeks earlier, but with the rain and mowing the lines had mostly faded/disappeared. I had notified Builders Fence of this when they told me the installation date). The installers were professional and worked hard. But, because they started so late in the day, the job was not done until after 9:00pm. By this time, it was dark and I could not look over the fence very well. The following morning I noticed a few minor issues with the new fence. (UPDATE: Builders Fence worked with me via phone/email, and came out to my house to look at the fence regarding my concerns. They scheduled a crew to come back out and address my concerns, and took care of the issues. Very happy with the outcome). Overall, I am happy with Builders Fence and the new fence they installed. I would recommend them and would use them again. They could have worked with Miss Utility a little better, and they could have communicated with me a little more often just to keep me informed on the status of my fence. The late start of installation didnt bother me to much. Was a little annoying, but not a big deal. Just wish the installation would have been finished before nightfall so I could have looked at it better while the installers were still onsite. Not sure if they should have rescheduled me or not. I kinda "on the fence" about this part. :) The price was good (comparable to other companies), the product is great quality, the installers were good/professional (despite the Miss Utility issue), the estimator was great/professional.

Overall not negative but not wonderful either therefore its a middle of the road review. The Good: The fence was built in one day and the contractors were professional and cleaned up well. Based on shopping around I felt like Builders Fence has good prices too, not the cheapest but probably best balance . Overall the fence looks very nice and we receive a lot of complements on the design. The owner, Dave is very professional and makes things right by caring about his customers. The Not so Good: The gate was not built the way we originally requested and approx. 20 boards were damaged with splits or spray paint. I called Dave and he came out to look at the fence; offered to replace any boards I wanted and move the gate to meet our requests (Very professional). Even after they fixed the fence I still found a multiple boards that the contractor forgot to put a nail in here or there - Instead of calling back I just fixed it myself.

Great job. The workers were neat and respectful. This the second time we have used builders fence and really appreciate their service.

It was 266 linear feet and it was a board-on-board fence. I had three different quotes. They were very responsive. The other ones just didn't seem all that interested; they told me they were having the quote for me on a Monday and that didn't happen until three days later. These guys (Builders Fence) actually did the quote at my house so I knew before they left what the cost was going to be. They gave me four different options and they answered my questions right away. The fence work turned out very nice.

After we agreed on a design, and contract price, we put a deposit for the materials in mid-May, and the project was finished on 3JUN. One concern we had was to find the surveyor's property marking pins. When the builder in our project removed the silt fencing along the back of all the properties on our side of the street, they also (without asking property owners) removed the stakes. We wanted to be absolutely certain this fence would be on our property, to avoid any potential future dispute with the neighbors. Tim Mardis, our Sales Rep, came over and in a few minutes found all four pins w/a metal detector - problem solved. The crew showed up on time the next morning, and began work immediately, setting the fencing out, digging post-holes, and preparing the dry-pack concrete bags to set them. We encountered one problem which was solved by moving the planned last fence post from behind the corner of the house and attach it directly on the side of the foundation. (They encountered the house footings, and rather than break it up - we discussed this alternative solution.) Wilder and his assistant worked hard to get the fence in, and at the end, went around to ensure each post and section was perfectly aligned onto the next. One note about attaching the fence to the home; your homeowner's insurance company may view the difference between a post at the foundation vs. attached to the foundation as two different things. In our case it became 'attached structure' - but the increase was minimal; $16 per year increase on the policy. If you are looking for a fence you can show off - Give Builders Fence a call. We're glad we did.

Our fence was built several years ago my another company. Last fall when the gate section fell apart, we called that other company to repair. They were unresponsive and basically just didn't want to do the repair. A friend had suggested Builder's Fence as they were happy with the work that was done on their property. We called and the company was responsive, didn't think we were a burden and came out to look at our situation and gave us our estimate. It took a few days to get our estimate but within the time frame. Scheduling the work a little tricky do to the weather, but we had no complaints. When the work was completely, we had one slight glitch. The gate was too close to the house and to close to the chimney to work effectively. We were happy. My husband called and expressed our concerns. Ashley came back out for a look see for herself and agreed there was a slight problem and said it would be corrected. Again, we had some weather issues, but they came back in a very short amount of time and relocated the gate. The best part aside from having a fence and a working gate is that when the work was 1st completed and was mailed a bill for payment, I asked to pay just 1/2 of the final bill until the "fix" was completed. The company agreed and once the "fix" was done, we immediately paid the final portion. I can't express how much that was appreciated. We had been burned before by a company that says sure, we'll fix any glitches and then you never hear from them again. That is why I was reluctant to pay the entire bill up front. Working with David and Ted @ Builders Fence went about as smooth as you could ask for. From quote to Install the communication was great. They had a customer reschedule and were able to install our fence a day sooner than planned. The crew showed up when they were supposed to and a few hours later the job was complete and we had our fence. I highly recommend using Builders Fence.

We recently used Builders Fence Company to install a 6? privacy fence. We have a Silver Maple tree on the property line and rather build the fence into the tree, Builders recommended we box it out. That worked out perfectly. The only minor hiccup was on the day of the install, their truck with our materials on it could not start. Builders called to let us know the situation and told us if they could not get to us by today, they would be there the next day. Fortunately, Builders loaded our materials onto another truck and started the install on the scheduled day. Due to this delay, the fence was completed the following afternoon. From accommodating our scheduling needs to agreeing to our last minute modifications (we requested an additional foot that extended into our driveway, which they accommodated without an extra change - THANK YOU!), Builders did a great job.

Scheduling the initial visit was very easy via their website. Jeff came out with in a day or two and we discussed our plan. He was able to give me a bid right then. I also needed his help with HOA approval, and he was happy to help and quick to respond. We had a minor delay due to weather, but Ted kept me informed and the fence was installed quickly. It looks beautiful and we will definitely use them when we are ready to build our patio.

I highly recommend Builders Fence Company and will always use them in the future. We just purchased this home 1 year ago. Since, we have dealt with approximately 4 contractors on different projects. Builders is the only contractor we had ZERO problems with. Not only that, but they were super responsive. Other contractors never return calls and do not make themselves available. Builders Fence Co, the entire team from the sales, management and installation team, were all responsive.

Jeff did the initial estimate and was great. Estimate was spot on and he was very friendly. The fence took about half a day to build and looks great. I've recommended this company to several of my friends.

We worked directly with Builder's Fence for the estimate and all of the work. The wood deck and fence were very old so we replaced the deck with the Trek Transitions product. The product is beautiful and the work was excellent. The fencing was in wood and it also was excellent. The workman were prompt and cleaned up every day. They were careful to no disturb any neighbors. Everything was great. Ted and Ashley or Builder's Fence were responsive and helpful in getting this project done on our schedule. We could not have asked for a better contractor. We would definitely use them again for decking and wood fencing.

Dave was very prompt on providing an estimate for the work and cost was lower than other companies. Project started a week later and they did the complete job in one day. We had an issue the incorrect fence originally delivered for the job, but company was very good at addressing the issue and ordering the correct pickets.

We were very happy with the work and the people that did the job. During the proposal and design phase, they were able to create exactly what I wanted. They worked quickly and did a very nice job. This deck is so well-built that it will still be standing long after the house is gone.

The fence is beautiful and we are very happy with the work. We have an uneven backyard, but the workers did a great job with the posts and the arch on top of the fence. Would definitely use them again.

We were looking to add a privacy fence (with a gate) in the backyard of our townhouse as part of our patio project. Jeff from Builder's Fence & Deck came out to our house quickly and provided a detailed quote before leaving (some of the other contractors provided more generic quotes without coming out in person). Jeff worked with us to schedule construction based on our expected HOA approval timeline. On construction day, the crew arrived on-time early in the morning and completed the project in a matter of hours. They did an excellent job and the fence looks great! Even though this was a small project, Builder's Fence & Deck provided great and responsive service and was very competitive in terms of cost.
