Original appointment for late morning. Contractor arrived and it was raining, so he texted from the driveway that he had three other estimates to give and would I mind if he came back in the afternoon. I agreed and he returned at 7:00 p.m. I was specific in my initial call about the condition of the deck and the work I wanted to have done, which included power washing, staining of both deck and porch, and painting the inside ceiling of the porch white. I relayed that my son was planning to replace the screening, and was told during that initial call that it was best to replace the screening before staining and painting. As he walked around the porch and the deck, he stated that all of the outside wood on the porch would need to be replaced, and began to change his story about replacing the screening before staining and painting. Further, he asked if I wanted the deck stained. As I reiterated our initial phone call, he said we were having communication problems, good luck, and walked away. I was stunned, and asked if he meant he was not going to take the job. He reiterated that we were having communication problems. Instinct tells me that he got all booked up when he did his other estimates. Strange man, guess I dodged a bullet.

He is highly, highly recommended by us. We have popcorn walls in one of our bedrooms and they removed everything, it was smooth as smooth is. Then in our kitchen we had layers and layers of wall paper! They came in with their heavy machinery and just took care of everything! And they clean up everywhere they go. They are not once on their cellphones. They are professional, and quiet, and polite. They are phenomenal. We checked all their references and they are just impeccable. They are lovely gentlemen. They even redid our stair well and painted the doors! They cover everything and move all the furniture out! hey put canvas on everything. No smoking or foul language or yakking. You don't even know they are in the house!
