I have used this company before for Heating & Cooling Repairs and tried them for plumbing needs. They were excellent, did not try a hard upsell to un-needed work, used quality materials, were fast and efficient. Absolutely will use them again!

All went well. Install team (2) on time, professional, courteous, cleaned up area after. One week in and all seems good. Scott was easy to work with and was patient as we worked through what can be a stressful decision/purchase. Had existing service contract with competitor (10+ years) who gave a quote of $1900 more than Bowmans for exact equipment and warranty coverage. Only after they realized that they had competition did they offer an “existing long time customer “ discount that was close to Bowmans. By then it was too late , they should have started with that proposed amount. Bowmans has solid reviews and had been straight up on their proposal from day one. Switching yearly service contact to them as well and don’t expect any issues based on how install went. Will recommend Bowmans to friends and neighbors.

We have been using Bowman's for the past few years to service our HVAC that is now 13 years old and has already started to need some expensive repairs. Now it was time to replace the complete system and I have nothing but praise for the experience. WHY YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH BOWMAN'S. 1.) STAFF The staff is exceptional with communication and I TRUST them. - Dawn works in the office and does a great job. Even now during the Covid issue, Dawn helps to coordinate communication with the technicians and installers. - Eric is a tech that I trust 100%. He has excellent skills as a technician and is not pushy when we expressed interest in replacing our system. We always ask for him to perform our fall and summer service. - Garrett came out to look at our flue pipe for the furnace and I thought I had an expensive repair in front of us. While Garrett could have tried to take advantage of us and recommend an expensive repair, he found the issue rapidly and made a recommendation to resolve the problem with no major expenditure. - Dan & Aaron installed our new HVAC system as well as a new Humidifier. Their work was nothing short of exceptional. They worked together well as a team and were fast, cleaned up well after, were on time and took pride in their work. 2.) PRICING As mentioned before, there was not a high pressure sales push when I wanted to explore replacing our system. Just a great explanation of benefits and options. There was no attempt to up-sell or add on extras to drive up the replacement price. They delivered exactly what I contracted for and not a penny more. They did this while also replacing an old gas shutoff at the furnace and a rusty electric connection box to the AC unit outside as well as a short section of duct-work inside, all without asking for anything extra. In this world of low-ball pricing and revised pricing estimates, they were a refreshing change. 3.) PRIDE IN WORK It has been obvious with my past fall and summer services that Bowman's takes pride in their work, but now that I have had the experience of a complete system replacement, I can say that their attention to detail is amazing. 4.) TRUST. There is no other heating and cooling company that I trust to do business with. If I need electrical or plumbing work, I will turn to them as well.

I was told I was receiving a "discount" as I had two toilets serviced. I later realized the price I paid exceeded the norm by quite a bit. A day or so later when I had a question, I had to call three times before anyone was civil to me. The service manager was extremely angry, another staff member was sarcastic. The third person was actually helpful. I would not do business with them again.

Our furnace stopped working one evening and the next day I called Bowman's to see if they could come out the same day. We had the pleasure of working with two exceptional employees. Dawn took my call and was professional and a joy to speak with. She addressed my concerns, was professional, and being the first contact with the company, she represented Bowman's well. Her attitude was refreshing and you can tell that she takes pride in what she does, just by how she communicates with customers. Dawn was able to schedule a technician to come to our home the same day. The next amazing employee was Eric the technician. Eric also had a great demeanor and just like Dawn, he also represented Bowman's well. Eric quickly found the problem, explained what our options were, and was able to temporarily get the furnace working till the part came in the next day. Also, he did a great job explaining what potentially may come up in the future, such as the phase out of Freon for our A/C and the options for replacement vs. repair. I was very impressed with his soft sell approach and consultative role vs. being pushy and he earned our trust. We appreciated his professionalism, so much so, that we will Bowman's for future maintenance and repair and when the time comes to replace our system. It was so refreshing to interact with two employees that were “anxious to serve” the customer and because of them we will absolutely use Bowman's again.

The plumber came the same day that I called. He was able to unclog the kitchen sink and also did a great job in redloing the plumbing under the sink that caused the problem. Very professional and neat. He explained what needed to be done but gave me a cheaper option as well. I decided to go with his recommendation and am glad that I did. I will use them again

My HVAC flooded my basement. I called Bowman and asked for someone to come assess whether it was HVAC or plumbing. I was told that they would send HVAC guy and if it was HVAC issue, they would perform diagnosis and/or fix the problem. What happened was someone showed up, identified it was HVAC. Performed a quick "flush" and said this is your issue, it won't happen any more. Wrong because it did happen again and my basement was flooded. Wrong diagnosis, had to hire another hvac who identified the real issue and fixed it.

Bowman plumbing is excellent! Had a very professional service man named Scott came to the house. He quickly accessed the situation of my low water pressure and got it resolved! I am so happy to have normal water pressure in my sink and shower again. They were great. Scheduled the same day appointment and was on time and reasonable in cost. Thank you!

We have used Bowman's for years and they are always awesome. Very responsive, professional and excellent service. Called at 9:00 am and they were here by 10:45. Had the furnace circuit board replaced and on their way in no time.

WARNING TO ALL - In my opinion, this company tried to defraud me. Steve Pierce, manager, and Steve Bowman, owner, are two people I will never do business with ever again. They tried to pull the wool over my eyes. I ordered a 3.5 Ton, 16-Seer system, yet they installed a 3.0 Ton system and charged me for the 3.5 ton WITHOUT telling me. I found out about this approx. 3 months after installation, as my cooling system was not cooling properly. Why? It was too small for the square footage, the number of registers, number of windows, and pitch of my roof. WORST experience, most UNPROFESSIONAL owner, Steve Bowman, and his manager, Scott Pierce. Scott Pierce, manager, gave me the run around, and so did the owner, after I discovered that they installed the WRONG HVAC system. They did so knowingly, and without telling me, stating that the system they quoted me would not fit into the attic opening, when all they had to do was to remove the pull-down stairs (they told me that the opening needed to be cut wider - not correct). This went on for over 7 months. I ended up having to dispute the entire charge with AMEX. They misrepresented so many things. For example, after I discovered this, I called and spoke to Scott Pierce, and he could not even locate the paperwork. I had to scan and email the paperwork to him. He then proceeded to tell me that the price differential between a 3.5 ton 16-Seer and a 3.0 ton 16-Seer system are "almost the same" and that there is about a $200-300 price differential. He initially offered me $200 to "go away." I said no. Scott, Eric (the guy who gave me the estimate), and Steve all told me that permits are not required to be pulled from Fairfax, County, as they are "tying into an existing flue." WRONG! You need permits to be pulled for anything gas: gas furnaces AND gas hot water heaters. I got served by the Sheriff at Fairfax County NOT ONCE, BUT TWO TIMES for TWO FAILED inspections. When the inspector from Fairfax County spoke to Scott Pierce over the phone, Scott told him that Bowman's always pulls permits, yet the owner, Steven, person who did the estimate, Eric, and the manager, Scott Pierce from Bowman's told me that they never do, unless the homeowner requests it. The COMPANY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING THE LAWS AND CODE AND FOR PULLING THESE, not the homeowner! The installers over-fused my circuit breakers, used incorrect platforms to set my outdoor equipment on, used the wrong tape, and the list goes on and on. Worst experience ever. The owner, Steve, told me that he'd fix everything, but then his manager, Scott, got on the phone and told me that he would not install the variable speed blower that I ordered and paid for. I ended up having to hire Chandler's to help me out. Many emails that Bowman's sent to me I had to forward to Chandlers, and this company helped me decipher all of the "lies and misrepresentations" that were made in them. At the end, Bowman's told me that they would fix this, but they did not. They offered me a solution which was NOT what I ordered. So Chandlers came, took the equipment out that Bowman's installed in my attic, set it in my driveway, installed the proper equipment I ordered, and then it took me 2 weeks to convince Bowman's to come out and pick up their equipment. WORST experience ever. I have emails, recorded phone calls, videos, pictures, and paperwork to prove everything I have written here. No rebuttal from the owner necessary, as there is nothing he can say to refute anything that I have written above. I have the PROOF, and I am willing to provide any member here supporting documentation that supports what I have stated above. Call Angie's List and ask to be connected with me, as I have given them permission to release my phone number and email. I have one of the techs on video stating the following: "Somebody made a decision to downsize by a half-a-ton without your knowledge, and that should have been relayed." Too many photos, documents, emails, and videos to upload. Call for details.

They were really fantastic. The job took about two times the amount of time they thought but they didn't charge us for the extra time. The technician, Jackie, is wonderful! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friend. They also arrived right on time.

Response was quick. After the initial assessment, Jeff and Howie went about their job with professional aplomb. The finished job looked almost like a work of art, especially compared to the last installation from 8 years back. Happy with result.
