Tom, the Saturday duty plumber, answered the phone promptly and was immediately helpful. He explained the weekend fee and then asked me the make of the faucet to determine if he even had the chance of having the parts on the truck or in stock. He also explained the timeline for his arrival and did in fact arrive within the window he provided. After diagnosing the issue and determining the parts were on the truck, he gave me the price and with my approval, went to work. Tom was very professional and he took the time to explain what the problem was and the work required to fix it. I even got to look at the valve, although I definitely defer to the professional! I was pleased that Tom ensured I understood the charges. In the end, I was thankful the repair could be done today. I am always happy to work with a local business and Bowman's is on our list and I will also recommend if others need a referral.

It went well. He performed the work efficiently. My only concern with Bowman is that it is a small company. If somebody gets sick, that means you may have to wait for an appointment.

Arrived, diagnosed the problem at rental house, returned the day after designer replacement parts arrived and installed it.

We needed a plumber because there were a couple of areas in our carpet that water was seeping into. We were not sure where the water was coming from, and were concerned that a leaky pipe was responsible. After looking at some available plumbers on Angie's List, I gave Bowman Plumbing a call. I was able to contact Jackie; he didn't seem to want to come out that night, and immediately mentioned that the visit alone would cost $125. Jackie suggested that we turn off the main water supply, and we scheduled for him to come in on Saturday morning to take a look at the issue, to diagnose it. Unfortunately, Jackie did not diagnose the issue. He checked the water meter, and we talked through some potential scenarios, however he wasn't able to figure out what the problem was. He didn't seem prepared; he asked to check in our attic to see if the issue was originating there (the wet spot was in our upstairs bedroom); however, he also said he didn't bring a ladder tall enough to inspect our attic. When we told him we didn't have such a ladder, he decided not to. I also asked him to open up the carpet under the wet spot to try to track back the issue, and he didn't want to do that either. Aside from walking around the house and looking at the layout, he didn't seem willing to do any serious work to diagnose the issue. Jackie neither diagnosed nor resolved the issue. We essentially paid $125 for Jackie to come over and not diagnose the issue. I called Jackie the next day asking him to come over and diagnose the issue, and he refused. I e-mailed Bowman Plumbing, and never received a reply. I am surprised at this level of service, given the good reviews on Angie's List. Very disappointed in the service, and we certainly would not recommend Bowman Plumbing.

They were professional in every respect, including punctuality. Price was reasonable. I plan to use them again and have recommended them to friends.

This is a company I have used 2-3 times in the past and rated highly. I needed quick service for a leaking faucet and was told they were booking 7 days in the future. This is not how you treat a previous customer.

They stopped by to take a look and provide an estimate and we scheduled the work to be done two days later. They were extremely knowledgeable and installation was excellent. A special trip had to be made to find a part to fit my old plumbing at no extra charge. I will definitely call Bowman's the next time I need a plumber.

Bowman tech was extremely thorough. Even though he quickly discovered the heat pump was not the issue, he continued to work with the thermostat to see if he could help fix it. The tech was very helpful and informative, showed why it was the thermostat and not the heat pump. Very very satisfied with the work and would call them again for any heating/ac issues.

Tom from Bowman's came out to give us an estimate on installing an external tap. He was clearly very experience, quite friendly, and told me everything he would do ahead of time, as well as giving advice on some other matters. We had him out to install the tap about a month later. He did it pretty quickly considering the time involved and made sure we understood what to do in freezing weather and how it worked in general before leaving. A few days later, I discovered that the tap was leaking from the stem, so I called them back. They apologized that they couldn't get Tom out that day or the next (no problem there!), but scheduled him for the following Monday. That weekend, I discovered a puddle of water in our utility room where the water heater is (and, incidentally, where he put in the pipes for the tap). Since he was already coming out, I didn't think a whole lot of it, assuming that it was the rather corroded pipe leading out of the water heater. I called him Monday morning to let him know. He arrived promptly on Monday, apologized that he would have to shut off the water for a couple of hours, and got to work. He had the pipe out easily, despite the fact it was up against the wall behind the water heater, and got the new pipe installed. Unfortunately, when he turned the water back on, he discovered that we were wrong; while the pipe had numerous corroded out small leaks, the water heater was pretty much gushing out the bottom. Obviously he couldn't fix it that day, but he left a tarp to soak up the water and showed me how to turn on and off the water to the WH. He said he could be out the next afternoon with a water heater. We wanted to get an Energy Star water heater, but unfortunately upon further investigation, Bowman's didn't stock those. After a couple of calls around and to the manufacturer of the WHs they sell/use, Tom reported that the Energy Star model simply wasn't available, and that if it was, it would be quite expensive. My wife and I were trying to decide what to do when Tom called us back. He had located the model we wanted at another place and said he could have it at our house at 10 AM the next day. That level of responsiveness and an unwillingness to give up really, really impressed me. Tom clearly thought we were bonkers, but he went the extra mile to make us happy. Tom and another plumber arrived just before 10 the next day and had the new water heater installed by 3 PM. I was very impressed. There were a few setbacks involving the fact that this was a WH of a type they hadn't dealt with before ("Why's this got a plug? It's awful tall!") but they resolved them easily. They cleaned up and rerouted the pipes when they installed the water heater, put in a drip pan with a drain outlet, and made my utility room look nicer than it ever has before. Overall, I was very, very impressed with Bowmans and will use them in the future (hopefully far in the future... ;)

We went ahead and took care of the problem in the basement replacing about an 8-foot section of pipe. But the tub leak was something that Jackie said he'd have to come back for, along with another person, as it was a two-man job. The price quoted for this was just too high, so I decided to go another direction with that one. Jackie called back the following week to check in and also see if I wanted to schedule an appointment for the faucet replacement. I much appreciate the follow up and the customer service. Would definitely use their services again for plumbing needs.

I can't say anything negative about the work but I do feel that I was overcharged. I feel that I should have paid half of what I did.

Over the weekend, while changing the aerator on our master bathroom faucet, the aerator part attached to the water line inside the faucet broke. This morning, I called at 8:00 and spoke with Jackie, who was helping out with the phones until Dana arrived. I explained my situation, and Jackie said he could be here within 45 minutes. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! He arrived and changed out the two faucets within an hour!!! He explained some things we should know about them and answered all my many questions. Good thing he could do this today, because I was unaware that the broken faucet had leaked underneath the vanity. I am so impressed, and so grateful for his quick response today. Kudos to Bowmans for this exemplary service, and to Jackie for his expertise and professionalism.

When I called, they sent someone over right away. I had a problem with a leak in one of the faucets in my bathroom. It turned out the faucet had to be replaced. He was really good and even gave me the name of a supplier I could go to purchase the faucet myself and save money. I was also able to pick out exactly what I wanted which was nice. He later came back and installed the new faucet for me. It turned real good. When they replaced my water heater, they did a super job and I haven’t had a problem with it. They were very fair on price, and gave me good information and advice. They were very capable and did a very good job. I was pleased with their services.

The work was done on time and they did a good job.

Placed one phone call and got an answering machine, left message to call back within two hours as I had to go to work. Did not call me back within the two hour window When they did call me back they just left me a message to call them back if I needed service. I called back later that afternoon and got no answer, not even an answering machine. Called a third time on Saturday morning and spoke with a gentleman who took all my information and said they would call me back Monday morning to schedule an appointment. One week later and I still haven't heard from them. Called a different plumbing company and had an appointment within five minutes. Will not recommend them to any of my neighbors.

I replaced my hot water heater and chose Bowman's after reading all the wonderful reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. I received a quote from Tom/Dana and my replacement hot water heater was installed within a week. Tom and Jackie performed the job and did so with great care as to not damaging my new wood flooring as they had to wheel the old water heater out through my home and down two flights of stairs. I am very happy with the new heater and the installation.

Excellent. I made an appointment with Dana from Bowman's for someone to come out and repair a leaky kitchen faucet and shower head. The technician, Kent came out on 11/29/12 to see repair the above. He advised me that it would be a lot cheaper for me to order the parts and to call Bowmans when I had them in hand and he would come and install them. He told me who to contact, which I did and had the parts within a couple of days. I called to schedule Kent to come back out to replace the parts and he did on December 13, 2012. Kent was very professional and neat with his work. I have been using Bowmans for several years and plan to continue giving them my business.

I originally chose Bowman's because of positive reviews on Angie's List but also because they were able to do the necessary plumbing work at the same time they fixed the gas fireplace logset as opposed to a fireplace tech doing his part and then having to hire a plumber to work on the gas supply line. Everything went as it should have as far as setting the appointment, showing up on time to do the work, completing it professionally and at a fair price.

Attempted to install myself but couldn't remove the original faucet (20 years in place). Took some effort on Tom's part but he succeeded, installed the new faucet, and replaced the hot side valve which wouldn't close. Work was performed expeditiously and professionally. Will definitely use them in the future.............

Gave us estimate. Explained we needed to have installed proper outlet by electrician. Told us to let us know when electric work was complete and they would come back to install pump. Electric work was completed and they returned quickly We were very pleased. The work was neat. They cleaned up and gave us instructions .

I started hearing a dripping sound in the walls of my house. It was difficult to pinpoint exactly where the noise was coming from. Jackie from Bowman's came to the house and started tracking down the source of the leak. Since my house is on a slab with no basement, the furnace is located on the first floor. The leak was between some duct work and studs. The builder had placed the hot and cold water pipes right up against each other and one had rubbed a hole into the other. I had already been without water for a week and was glad that Jackie was so determined to locate and repair the leak. He covered my carpeting and even left the drywall he had to remove so that it might be used in the repairs. Once the leak had been found, another plumber joined him to assist in the repair since it was located in such a hard-to-reach place. I was very pleased with the outcome and am glad to say that I now have a plumbing company that I will use on a regular basis.

I have used Bowman's Plumbing in the past but have to say this will be the last. I called them to fix a leak under my kitchen sink. After three visit, there is now two new leaks in the drain lines even after they replace 2 1 1/2 tail piece nuts and re-glued 1 1/2 inch la ptrap. It is my bellief thee original leak was fixed. But some how in the repair process 2 new leaks appeared in the compression fitting that connect the p-traps from the garbage disposal and to the main drain pipe. For some reason on the 3rd visit the two plumbers that came claim the pipes were not leaking and blame the leak on improper caulking from a drop down sink into to a granite counter top. The sink was installed about 8 years ago and water has never leaked in the areas Bowman claim it was leaking from. I visually inspected around the sink from under the counter top and so no evidence of water damage from l areas they were claiming it was leaking. They did re-caulk the sink however but did not address fixing the compression fittings were the water is still leaking from. I am highly disappointed in the quality of the work Bowman's Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning Inc As I said, I hired them twice before based on Angie's List subscribers recommendations. I believe I gave this company 3 attempts to fix this issue and I have decided to go with another plumber I used before (highly rated on Angie?s List too but not by the same number of folks as Bowman?s). I can no longer recommend Bowman?s Plumbing to other Angie?s List subscribers as I have done in previous reviews. Just for the record, my mom who is one of the homeowners called this issue in on my behave and I did not speak to Bowman's Custoemr service personnel or to the plumbers that came out to our home to address this issue. I rated Bowman's in the other areas outside qualitiy base on information I received from my mom. As the rating reflects Bowman's received an A for Responsiveness. Punctuality and Professionalism but because I still have water leaking under my sink, for quality, I had no choice but to rate Bowman's a F for lousy when it came to fixing what I asked them to fix, which is the water leak under my sink.
