Everything went good. They were very timely and did a good job for us.

I called Bowman the Monday before Thanksgiving as I had a persistent leak in my shower that I couldn't stop. Bowman offered to come out the same day, but I was not able to meet them so I scheduled an appointment for the following day. They came in checked it out, quoted me a price before proceeding with any work and didn't put any pressure on me. I approved the quote and then they did the work. There was an service fee of about $80 for coming out if they didn't do any work, but I didn't have to pay that since I had them do the work. He also checked out a sink drain that had a bad odor coming out of it, but told me nothing needed to be replaced and I could save a lot of money by just getting a cleaning solution instead of having anything replaced. The whole visit took less than 30 minutes, and I have not had any additional problems with the shower.

Excellent. Dean came out and did an estimate, made suggestions, emailed us a proposal the next morning, and then we called and set up the job. The workers arrived on time, we had a call letting us know they were on their way. They all were very friendly, efficient, clean and professional. It was clear they new what they were doing, did a great job, and were actually happy workers, who take pride in their work. Just really great people. We were able to pay with our credit card which is great, because many only take cash or check, so that was nice and simple. They were in and out in about four hours. Two guys did the gas logs and a another guy did the new fixtures and plumbing in our master. Really great!

They were professional, nice, they cleaned up, and they just did a good job. They came pretty quickly which I liked.

We picked Bowman's from Angie's List when we returned home after Thanksgiving and found our water heater was no longer working. We arranged for a service call the next day and Dana clearly explained what the charges would be for the visit. Jackie arrived as scheduled, was polite and professional, and quickly determined that the heater needed to be replaced. He showed me what was wrong with the existing heater, and discussed my options, which were really pretty limited. I elected to use Bowman's to do the replacement and scheduled it for the next day as the model we needed had to be ordered from the distributor. Jackie called the next day as scheduled to confirm his arrival time, arrived when agreed, and replaced the existing heater without any issue. He was completely professional, very careful to keep the area clean, and to not damage anything bringing the new heater in and removing the old one from the house. Our experience with Bowman's was quite positive and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Jackie was very friendly and professional. He had to make a run to Home Depot for the faucet part, which I appreciated (able to do all of this in one day). Before he left, he made sure I was happy with his work. I was, in fact, so happy that when we had a more serious plumbing problem a couple of weeks later, I called on Bowman's again. They sent Jackie out again, who replaced the pressure releasing valve in our basement (a huge 4-hour job); their charge was around $400, which I considered very reasonable.

This was not an easy job. The water pipes in our 25-year-old house had been installed at floor level behind the dishwasher next to the sink area. The placement of these pipes made it virtually impossible to replace the dishwasher. We were buying all new kitchen appliances and also needed a water line run from the sink, through our cabinets, to the spot where our refrigerator sits in order to purchase a refrigerator with an ice maker. The guys from Bowman did a great job, and we called them two more times to help with other projects during our remodeling. They always responded to our calls quickly, performed the work expertly, and were very professional.

I asked Bowman's Plumbing to install a new faucet for me. When it turned out I had bought the wrong type of faucet, the plumber came back later to install a new one. I offered to not use the Angie's List coupon and pay full price since he had been willing to return, but he insisted that I take the reduced price. The plumber, Doug, was polite, helpful, and punctual. A class act!

While the plumber was an hour late arriving, he more than made up for it with courtsey, clarity of explanation, promptness in resolving the problem, and cleaning up after himself.

Bowman's recently replaced a 13-year old water heater in our home and we couldn't have been happier with their service and professionalism. When I initially called Bowman's to schedule the appointment, they explained that they would come take a look at our water heater and, at that point , they would explain what our options were in terms of repairing the problem; they stated that by no means would they pressure us to replace the heater if it didn't need to be replaced. Upon arrival, Thomas was very professional in explaining what the diagnosis was and what to do in the event there was a leak before he was able to install the new water heater. On the day of the installation, Thomas and his associate carefully moved to an adjacent room a refrigerator that was blocking their access to the old water heater. They worked efficiently and completed the task on time. Before their departure, they completely cleaned all debris and the area was left in excellent condition. I am highly satisfied with Bowman's and would recommend them to anyone.

A waterspot appeared on my kitchen ceiling -- it appeared to be from the master bathroom which is directly overhead. I called the plumber to help find and stop the leak. The plumber was able to come the next day and was on time. He looked at the ceiling and then looked at the master shower. At my suggestion, he felt how wet the kitchen ceiling was, after which he cut a hole in the ceiling so that he could take a look. He confirmed that I had a leak, but that was all. He never took off the cover for the diverter in the shower or seriously looked at the shower plumbing -- he never found the leak and did not seem to have the expertise or creativity needed to be of any help. He suggested I try recaulking the shower base, told me how much I owed, and left. I was left with the leak intact, still no closer to finding the leak, and a new gaping hole in my kitchen ceiling. In the end, the water was coming from a combination of failing grout and a leaking diverter. I had the diverter replaced by a different plumber and the shower re-grouted.

Service was prompt, professional. Staff were friendly and efficient (work done in a few short hours).

Bowman's Plumbing, Heating & AC installed our new furnance and air conditioner. Our old A/C unit of 14 years had started leaking freon and was not worth repairing. The old system was a York which was installed by our townhouse developer. The old system was a 10 seer unit which is not even legal to sell anymore due to environmental rules. Since this was a major purchase, we researched companies. We joined Angie's List to help us research companies that sold AC units. We got quotes from five companies. We really like how Bowmans came to our house and worked with us to figure out the best system for our particular needs and budget. When we initially started the research for a new AC system, we were leaning towards getting a Carrier Infinity series. Bowman's showed us that we could get a great system for less cost by going with American Standard which was 15 seer unit. We replaced our furnace with a new variable speed blower. We also got a Honeywell programmable thermostat. The system came with a 10yr parts and labor warranty and a 20yr warranty on the heat exchanger. The installation team arrived on time and completed the whole job in one day. They disposed of the old system and did not leave any mess. They also hooked our old humidifier to the new thermostat. Our engery bill has been less. The new system is very quite and is cooling the house great. We have not had any problems and would recommend other people consider Bowman if purchasing an AC system.

Came first day and saw the problems. Came back a second day after I got the faucet and replaced the faucet and garbage disposal. Was timely both times.

On a routine servicing of our heating and A/C on this Thursday (9/15), we were told that our water heater was leaking and that we would need to replace it very soon, because if it were to burst or have a major leak it would create a lot of damage. The price we were quoted for a new one installed was $1,500.00. We felt that could be high, and after a call to our son-in-law who has worked in home repairs and remodelling realized that the estimate was high. So around 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon (9/16) I called a trusted washer/dryer repairman. He suggested we contact Angie's list. I had heard of Angie's List advertised on the radio before, but we had never used it. I signed up and began calling. Right away we found a company that could come on Wednesday (9/21) for about $1,230. I kept calling and found a company that could do it that day for $1,180. I decided to go with them, but then Bowman's called me back, could do it on Friday as well, and with a coupon from their website did the job for $1,055. The workers were very pleasant and prompt and by 4:00 p.m. we had a new water hearter installed. I must say that we were VERY pleased with the whole experience.

Tom barb came right away and did a perfect job. He provided an upgrade that would give me better results.

Jack and Doug came the same day I called. They were on time, friendly and efficient. The work was done promptly and in a professional manner. These are nice folks to do business with. I didn't grade them on price because I didn't get other estimates and price isn't always my first priority. I am willing to pay for good service. I would use them again and recommend them highly.

I called Bowman's on Wednesday, September 6th and told Dana I had a problem with 2 toilets and I thought they needed new flappers. Dana scheduled an appointment of the next day, September 7th. Thomas Barb arrived, was neat and very professional. He replaced the 2 flappers and checked out my other toilets and said they looked fine. We had quite a bit of sand in the tanks and he showed me how to clean them out which I did.(We are on a well) I have used Bowman's in the past, and have been pleased with their service. My only problem is that in the past I could request a 1st in the morning appointment, and it seems their policy has changed as I was given a 4 hour window this time. It did work for this visit because I happened to be off that day and will have to wait and see if my future needs will work with their new scheduling policy. I really like Bowman's and hope it does.
