Overall, I was very pleased with the job that Augustine roofing performed. They came highly recommended from my neighbors who had to replace their roof last year. I met with Bill Augustine in late March to examine the roof in order to determine what work needed to be performed since I had lost a lot of shingles from the wind storms this past winter. Since my house was 15 years old he recommended that a roof replacement would be the most beneficial option. The only issue I had was that the roofing crew was unable to correctly set my satellite dish back to its proper position. I had to call a satellite installer to come out the next day to have it calibrated correctly. I sent Bill an email that day and the repair cost was immediately taken off the final cost of the roof. I couldn't have been more pleased with their professionalism and I would highly recommend Augustine to anyone needing roofing work.

They got here at 7:30 in the morning, which was right when they said they would and stuck they stuck with it until they were done at 5:00pm! They cleaned everything up. I felt like they were dependable and great. I was pleased with my choice of using this company. Their prices were fair and they are a very dependable business. I highly recommend them!

The first company recommended a complete roof replacement. The roofer sent from Augustine looked over the entire roof carefully, and in the end reported to me that no work was necessary. Clearly the company was in a position to take advantage of the situation and bid on the replacement, but instead the roofer honestly reported to me that there was no reason to replace the roof. For this reason I would trust Augustine Roofing and recommend them to others in need of roofing repairs. Additionally, the company made itself available on very short notice, and gladly moved other work around to accommodate my schedule which was not very flexible.

A group of shingles came off during one of our recent storms. In the 14 years I have lived in my home I have never needed to contract out any work...this was new to me. I contacted Augustine Roofing because they had great reviews and were located close to my home. I thought they would be the first of a few quotes I would receive. The owner, Bill Augustine, was very responsive to my inquiry/email and sent someone out within a few days. I worked with Rick who was very knowledgeable and professional. I had not considered this an insurance claim but he insisted it was and assisted me in the claims process. He walked me through the quote process and I made the decision to use this company without receiving another quote. I believe I received a great deal but it came down to gut instincts and comfort...I knew I would receive great service. A storm came through the next evening and blew some other shingles loose. Rick sent someone over to insure there were no issues... they made sure the roof was secure/the damage contained. There was no charge. I did not expect my insurance company to pay for a new roof, but I did expect more than they were willing to pay. Even though I signed a contract, the company was willling to let me cancel it due to the insurance payment. I did not ask for this...they offerred!!! My gut instincts were right!!! The owner contacted me when the job was complete and gave me specifics as to how it went. He asked me take a few days to see if I was happy with it before I paid. The work was completed while I was away from home. When I returned, there was no sign that anyone had been there. But I had a beautiful new roof. Never thought I'd say that about a roof!

Rick informed me about what would be done, exactly as it would be done, clearly laid out reasonable costs, and what doing a good roofing job should be like to experience. Before the roofing was begun I had full confidence in the crew who would be sent to complete it. They were quiet, professional, fast, and cleaned up every bit of debris that may have fallen during the job. Augustine Roofing represents an extraordinarily experienced group of professionals who understand how to treat the job -- and the customer! My house has been transformed.

Bill did a great job from start to finish. He was professional when we first met him and gave us an estimate. He followed up to try to earn our business without being pushy. We agreed on a price and he came over to help us select the roof color/style we wanted. He was knowledgeable and helpful. He kept us informed throughout the project and had his crew in and out in one day to do the job. There was one issue that required follow-up and Bill responded and took care of it. We would use him again and highly recommend him!

This was a fantastic experience. Augustine Roofing gave me a fast, accurate, and fair estimate. They were able to get to my job within 48 hours of my acceptance of the estimate. I experienced no hassle whatsoever--I didn't even have to be home (which saved me from having to take precious hours off work). Highly recommended!

I would encourage people who hire Augustine Roofing to communicate their expectations clearly ahead of time. Overall, I would say I received the product and service I paid for. The roof isn't perfect and there are still some small pieces of aluminum and shingles sitting on the roof of my garage, but over time they will eventually blow down onto the cars and driveway. The top ridge vent looks like someone sat in the middle of it. It didn't look like that with the old roof, but it appears to be caused by the underlying carpentry. Maybe the new architectural shingles make it more noticable. Once they started the job, they worked late into the dark and began early the next morning and worked through the rain. They returned a third day to finish the job. The first day set the stage from my disappointment. It was very windy and the crew was working to beat the rain and attempting to complete the job in two days. To my surprise, instead of stripping the roofing material and sending the debris to one or two locations, the old shingles, nails, tar paper and aluminum were dumped all over the yard. We have two young kids and a dog and we were very careful when letting them walk outside. At any moment something could be thrown off the roof and there was nobody on the ground to let you know if it was safe. And I spent time each day picking up dozens of nails in front of both entrances to the house so my family could get in and out of the house. In fact I am still picking up nails and tar paper and plastic more than a month after the job. I also turned on the lawn sprinklers this week and discovered 5 spray heads that were broken by either the roof debris or the workers cleaning it up. I had two neighbors call me on the first day letting me know there was debris blowing into their yards. Next time I would ask they use a dumpster or have the debris consolidated in one or two locations away from the home's doorways. They definitely need someone to focus on quality control, or maybe a foreman on the ground supervising the job.

The estimate was provided on the spot at the first visit. Bill let me go to the provider's website to pick out my own skylight, which he offered to obtain and install at cost. Augustine Roofing was prompt and neat, as far as I could tell. There was some delay in scheduling due to weather, but scheduling tentatively seems to be a good practice in roofing. The team seemed fast and efficient. There was one minor issue, which Bill Augustine called and told me about (the shingles provider delivered to the wrong address), but they were able to correct that and still replace the roofing on the specified day. They picked up after themselves and I didn't get any complaints from my neighbors - hard to do in a townhouse neighborhood.

They cleaned up every little tiny piece around. They did a very good job. He was the only one that actually got up on the roof to have a look at it before he gave us an estimate. I was impressed with that. He was the owner and he came out, and gave us the estimate. The crew was very professional. They were here at 8 o’clock and gone by 2 or 3 o’clock. They were just like a machine. They do fast work. After the summer when we had snow, it started melting. There was a little bit of a leakage around where the wind pipe was. We got up there and figured out the snow was actually piled up against the pipe and melting into it. We called them and they came right out. They fixed the problem for us. I would use their services again in the future.

The owner produced the bid, explaing all the details and options very well. The materials chosen were the best available, yet the bid was extremely fair and more-than competitive with others. The large, competent and communicative crew (yes, they speak English) nearly finished removing and replacing the roof on a Friday and (partly because of weekend rain) they did finish the following Monday. Excellent clean-up; no mess at all. The job was 100% perfect, flawless in every way. This is our seventh house (we're seniors) so it is certainly not our first roof. Augustine Roofing is as good as it gets.

Very well. Could have used a little more hand-holding on color selection, etc., but you'd be hard-pressed to find a more down-to-earth and nice contractor. He'd make a great friend. And ultimately, he recommended the color we chose. We delayed the job for a long time, but Bill honored his original price. Once job was started, it proceeded well and professionally.

Bill came over and looked at the roof. He came back a day or two later when it wasn't so windy and got a closer look at everything. He left us an estimate which was about the amount I expected. Later, he brought us some shingle samples so I could choose. He also recommended the one that I ended up choosing. Once the materials arrived, he suggested a date. After we agreed on the date I sent him an email asking him to start with the smaller structure. He didn't get, or didn't see, that email. His crew arrived and started work early. They started on the larger structure and only uncovered as much as they knew they could get recovered by the end of the day because rain was predicted for Friday. They worked until the last little bit of light had left the sky. The next day it rained, so they worked on Saturday. Again, they worked from sunup to dark. Bill came over in the afternoon and I mentioned the email, which he hadn't seen, and told him the reason I had wanted the other structure done first. He apologized and had the crew move over to the smaller structure right away. They got the smaller structure basically done by the end of that day. They also did the bulk of the cleanup work so we could use our driveway again. They came back Monday and finished the last ridge on the larger house and some touch up work. You can tell that his crew are very experienced roofers. Neighbors were walking by and stopping to watch them. The result is gorgeous. They use high quality materials, do excellent work, and the shingle color he suggested was superb. We are very pleased.

Bill's team did a great job on replacing our roof for an insurance claim we had. His team had the roofing materials delivered the day before the actual work date and arrived on time on the scheduled date of work. Did good job cleaning up afterward and our roof looks great! Thanks Bill!

Our scheduled installation date was a rain-out and I was notified in advance that they would not be able to install on the scheduled date. The crew showed up the very next work day and got straight to it. They worked well into the evening right up until dark. They were professional and very communicative throughout the process. Given that they finished up after dark, the crew returned the very next morning to insure that all debris was cleaned up and our property was in tip top shape. The installation was done very methodically and the crew clearly knew their stuff. Several of our roof boards were weathered and they replaced any that were in doubt instead of just covering them up which may have been much easier. I found their attention to detail very comforting. Combining their work, price and communication as well as the warranty on both products and workmanship this was a great experience for us on such a large investment. I would not hesitate to use Augustine again and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new rook or a roof repair.

I called Augustine Roofing after a wind storm took away most of my front roof shingles. I needed someone to come over and help with the insurance adjustor and provide a good estimate for the repairs. Bill agreed to show to the house and meet with the insurance adjustor, with only a day advance notice. I decided that the house could use a new roof, and since the front was cover by the insurance, I was willing to cover the rest. Bill's estimate was very reasonable and he explained in great details everything his company was going to do. Augustine roofing removed all the shingles, replaced some damaged plywood, and installed the new roof in a matter of hours. The team finished the job with no surprises, staying within budget, and at the end of the day everything was picked up, cleaned and organized as if they have never been there. It was a really good experience and I would recommend this company to anyone looking for roofers.

Bill Augustine came to our house to give us an estimate on replacing our entire roof. He seemed very honest and knowledgeable. Of all the companies that we had come out to give us estimates he is the only one who actually brought a ladder and went up on our roof, which we liked. We asked him his opinion as to whether or not he felt that it was necessary for us to replace the roof right now, or if he felt we had any more years to go. He told us that it was basically at the point of needing replaced, but he thought we could get another year. We really appreciated the honesty. It definitely didn't feel like he was trying to "sell" us something. He just took measurements then gave us a detailed estimate explaining what would be done, the products that would be used, and the price. The price ended up being the lowest of all the estimates we received. The only thing that we were just a little put off by was the fact that after he was done taking measurements and had come in to give us our estimate, he seemed like he was in a hurry. He simply stood with us right inside the door, handed us the estimate, and explained it briefly. He did answer the few questions that we came up with, and, as I said before, seemed very honest and knowledgeable. However, we felt so rushed and thought of things later we would have liked to ask. He was practically walking out the door while answering some of our questions. We probably would have been able to think of everything we wanted to ask and get answers had he come in and sat down with us. I don't know if it happened this way, because we just weren't sure if we wanted to get the roof done this year. Maybe we didn't seem like a priority. Don't get me wrong; overall, we were impressed by his knowledge and price. He seemed like a very nice guy, very straight forward, and honest. In the end, we decided not to replace the roof for another year. However, when the time comes we might go with this company. We are torn between this company and one other.

Great contractor. They were prompt in getting back to me and more importantly, FAIR with the estimate given to me. This was an insurance job and not once did he ask me how much money the insurance company was giving me and that he'd do it for that cost (by the way, if that's how a contractor approaches you, get another one, that is not a fair, honest way to do business). Bill gave me a fair and honest price, honored a coupon that was on Angie's List at the time, and his crew did great work. They were in and out in one day, replaced the whole roof and installed gutter screens, and cleaned up after themselves. I can't speak highly enough of this company - they did a great job, installed a top quality roofing product, and gave me an honest estimate that wasn't wrapped in "Let me see the estimate your insurance company gave you." Would definitely recommend them and will use them again for any roofing needs I have.

Bill and Erin were excellent. My neighbors had work performed by Bill and they highly recommended Augustine Roofing. I called Augusitne Roofing and Bill came out to my home as scheduled on time and provided a competative quote to remove the old roof and replace roof. We were scheduled for service on 11/11 and his crew arrived promptly and started working right away and were very professional and completed work as written in our contract and were efficient and completed work & clean up on the same day. The roof was damaged by sytorm and once insurance clearded the process they came and laid the roof for our old Victorian home and garage. No problems at all.

After talking to a few companies selected Augustine Roofing based on the reasonable price, the fact that you deal directly with the owner and their focus as a roofing company first. Bill (personable, knowledgeable and experienced) came out, surveyed and inspected the roof, listened to our concerns, discussed options and prepared a proposal the same day. Originally planned to have work done in August, when plans changed we needed to reschedule to late fall - when the scheduled date approached weather delays that impacted other jobs threatened to push our date back a week or more (personally I think a busy company is a good sign - as opposed to one thats not). When we were not able to change our time frame, thankfully Bill and his crew were very helpful in working out a plan and putting in the extra effort to still have the job done within the scheduled time. Satisfied we got a good job for a fair price, roof looks nice and so far no problems, would not hesitate to call them again. Thanks Augustine Roofing.

Bill provided a very competitive estimate for the roof replacement. His response was immediate and very professional. He followed up with us regarding the estimate as well. We did not use them solely because we ended up doing work outside his scope (siding). Excellent experience overall.

Augustine Roofing LLC is run by husband and wife team, Bill and Erin. Erin handles the office/administrative duties and Bill provides the estimates and supervises and coordinates the work. Both Bill and Erin are very professional. They had by far the least expensive estimate for replacement of our roof. Normally this would have made us a little bit hesitant to use a company, but due to their impeccable ratings on Angie's list and other sites we decided to go with them. On the day the work was completed, Bill arrived early and met with me briefly to ensure that we both had a clear understanding of the work to be accomplished. He also checked in with us throughout the day to ensure that we were satisfied with the work. We were. In addition, Bill took a substantial sum off our final bill because a small plant was lightly damaged when a shingle grazed it. We assured him that we did not think the light damage warranted any compensation. He insisted on reducing the price anyway. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend working with Augustine b/c of the low prices and personal approach to customer service.
