We are very pleased with the job that Augustine Roofing, LLC did in replacing our roof. We put the job out for three bids over a year ago but delayed the work due to some health issues. In the end, we decided on Augustine for the price and value of quality singles replacement. We were impressed with the removal, installation and most importantly the clean-up - nothing was left behind. When we decided to move forward with the roof work, Bill Augustine honored a price quote for replacement that was over a year old. We were happy that scheduling the installation went easy and the work was completed in one-day as promised - with minimum interruption to our daily schedule. This was probably the easiest work that I have ever contracted out for. 1) Estimate. I was able to get an estimate the next day after initial contact. The estimator, Ben was prompt and went over all the options with us. The estimate was provided via email the same day and was very thorough, 2) Scheduling. I was quoted a 7 to 10 day lead time for installation, but got luck that a cancellation allowed me to get my roof installed in 4 days. 3) Communication. Everything was communicated in a prompt manner. I had a few items that I neglected to mention during the estimate that were addressed via prompt emails 4) Install. The product was delivered to my roof when they said it was and on the day of the install the workers showed up promptly. The work was done in a professional manner, with minimal impact to our family. The workers left the site a clean as they found it, I have yet to discover any construction related debris. 5) Followup. The company provided great followup regarding the invoice and our satisfaction with the job. I would definitely recommend and would use this company again in the future.

Bill came out and took a look and said everything looked fine. There was so damage. They are a very honest company. I would totally trust them for any roofing or gutter needs in the future.

The rep, Ben was great, he answered my questions, and got back to me quickly when I had follow-up clarification question sent via email. The job was scheduled and performed on time, thankfully the weather cooperated. I’m very pleased with the job. I would call them back again, but I’m thinking the new roof will outlast me.

Augustine Roofing was recommended to us by our neighbors. We received 3 estimates for our full roof roof replacement. Augustine came in with the lowest estimate for the highest quality products. I was immediately impressed with them from the very beginning. Their rep, Ben, arrived for the estimate spot on time, fully prepared with CertainTeed brochures and descriptions of the products they would use and our upgrade options. He was very professional and knowledgable, and was able to produce an immediate estimate on his laptop after his roof inspection. He was the only rep who did this, and it made things very convenient. He is also the only one who came prepared with brochures, etc. Once we signed the contract, their customer service was great. Ben , and Tony at the office, were very responsive and helpful with all the questions I had. On the day the roof was installed, Ben was in constant contact with me throughout the day, addressing any questions or concerns I had. The one day project took longer than expected, due to a large amount of plywood that needed replacing and a rain delay. The roofing crew stayed for 12 hours, until almost dark, to finish the job, even though they normally don't work later than 6 or 7 pm. They came out the next day (a Saturday!) to finish up a few small things they didn't have time to complete the night before. Another amazing thing is that they did not ask for a deposit up front, pretty surprising in this day and age! All in all, this was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. I would highly recommend Augustine for any roofing needs.

Ben offered to options; 1 - Repair just the essential areas to prevent further damage (~$1,400) 2 - Replace the entire roof while also addressing the underlying damage as the roof is 20+ years old and maybe has 3-5 years of useful life left (~$4,000) Had I been the owner rather than tenant, I would have elected to replace the entire roof but after inspecting the roof repair and having undergone several severe snow, wind, and thunderstorms since, I am happy to report there have been no leaks (cause of repair), loose/missing shingles or the like. Augustine Roofing replaced our Roof in a very timely manner. Tony was very responsive, and his crew did a great job. His staff was very attentive and neat while doing their job. They were able to replace our whole roof in one day, and we were very pleased with the result. We would recommend Augustine Roofing, llc to anyone for their roofing needs. In addition, our neighborhood has used their company a great deal, and they all seem pleased.

We are very happy with them. It is a 30 year roof and I don't imagine using them again. I would recommend them. If I needed them, I would use them again.

We have an Ashburn townhouse which had original roofing that was in need of replacement. Called and received a quote from Augustine Roofing, as they did the re-roofing on a unit two doors over. After a few questions about tile color and a few weeks for the HOA paperwork/approval process, we scheduled the work date and hoped for no rain (we had lots of rain in May). The crew arrived in the morning as scheduled and, after maneuvering their equipment and truck around our plants and large tree in front, completed the re-roofing. Haven't had any new rain to test the roof yet, but dealing with Augusting Roofing was very straightforward and professional, and would recommend.

The team arrived on time both days and worked non-stop to complete the project. The foreman let me know they were there and what we could expect each day. I got quotes from 5 providers, all highly-rated on Angie's List,?for this replacement. Our roof had two layers of three-tab shingles, uncertain age. It was time.? To get the estimates, I went through a list of about 20 questions with each company representative, including the usual insurance/bonding and safety procedures, POC on-site, scheduling/duration, payment terms, how much the variance would be with plywood sheets ($60 per, with CDX, and they'll call if it's more than 2 to get approval)?warranties and methodology, cleanup plans, how long they've been in business, association memberships/ratings, etc. All were similar in quality and terms. Bill Augustine's answers were some of the best, plus his quote was absolutely the lowest, even with the upgrade to CertainTeed Landmark architectural shingles and all the durability and extra warranties provided. He's also local to Sterling, so we made an easy choice and booked the job.? Tony in the office let us know to leave the driveway clear the day before. Sure enough, materials were delivered and staged on Monday, and the crew with Pedro showed up Tuesday and took care of it. The?shingles look great, only 3 nails were missed in the pickup in a flower bed?(ok, they were from an air hammer, so still wired together as 1).??I had to come home briefly to switch the breaker for the attic fan so it could be lifted and re-set with the new shingles. They were done in one day as promised.? I had to reach out twice to schedule the promised?post-job walkthrough, but Bill made it out this week. It has been torrentially raining for days, and we're not seeing any issues.?They did replace two sheets of plywood. In return for this review, they offered to waive that extra $120?charge. In all, I am happy with the roof, the professional manner of the entire team working with Bill Augustine, and am pleased?to recommend them.?

Ben Burnie came out to assess the job and give us an estimate. He was really nice and quick to return the estimate. We had three estimates done and Augustine Roofing came back with the best price, and because they were so highly rated on Angie's List, we went with them. Really good decision on our part. They ordered a new skylight and put us on the schedule. On the day of the project they arrived right after it stopped raining and got to work. Because of the weather, and the different size skylight, it took two days instead of one, but we weren't penalized on cost for that. Even though Ben had a death in the family and had to travel, he talked to me the day of the project. He also came by the following Monday to look at the finished work. Can't say enough good things about him or the crew that did the work. Everyone was very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, which is no small task after a roofing job and the roof looks great. We've had a lot of rain since then and it's very nice not to have that leaking skylight still in place. Tony from the front office was was really nice on the phone when he called to get my email address to send the invoice. I highly recommend this company for roofing work. They have great people to deal with all along the line.

It was a pleasant experience dealing with this company especially with Ben the Estimator . He was professional and understanding. After getting 6 estimates Augustine was the lowest and they were not pushing like salesman no pressure. Roof was nicely replaced by good crew , cleaned all debris and nails. . All done in one day. We received several quotes and Augustine Roofing had very fair pricing, provided punctual work and were great communicating the work with us during the project. They also did not require any deposit in advance of the work which was very nice. Our roof was installed in 1 1/2 days and they took their time after each of the two days to really very carefully clean up and remove all debris. We are very pleased with their work.

After the snow and wind storms we had at the beginning of the year, our roof was leaking that had also caused some interior ceiling water damage. I called four companies for roof repair/replacement quotes and Ben at Augustine was prompt in scheduling the appointment, followed up on any change to our meeting, knowledgeable during our assessment, and answered additional questions as I was dealing with my insurance company. Augustine was the second quote I received. The first quote, for the exact same materials, was almost 50% more. The other two were clustered in line with Augustine (where we were expecting to pay). Based on the materials quoted, the price, and how everything had gone up to that point, I chose Augustine for the job. After we signed the contract in mid-March, Ben gave me an installation date of 4/21. At the same time as we were doing the roof, we wanted to get the interior repairs done and we were replacing our carpet upstairs, but didn't want to stretch the entire timeline until after the roof was replaced. They had a good idea of where the water leak was coming from so Augustine came out and did a temporary repair of the ridge vent to hold everything over until we could get the full roof replaced. This plan allowed us to repair and paint the ceilings in three upstairs bedrooms and replace the carpets all before the roof was replaced. The supplies were delivered the day before the labor was to begin, and the crew arrived promptly on the morning of installation. They worked steadily all day. Ben came on site mid-day to give an update. At that point they thought the job would take two days, but the crew worked to just past sundown to get the job done in one day. I was slightly concerned that there might be a bit of cleanup missed because of buttoning up the job so late, but when I walked around the house the next morning morning, it was in great shape. They cleaned it up just as well as if it would have been full sun when they finished the job. I'm very glad we chose Augustine. I believe we paid a fair price for the job and they went above and beyond to help us get everything done on the timeline that we needed and our new roof looks fantastic. Thanks! Rob

Ben Burnie from Augustine came promptly and provided the first of three estimates we got. He was the lowest by only a little bit, and of course, the way these things go, a good deal of the expense is in the details we all find later. In this regard, Augustine was exceptional to deal with, not prickly or officious, very constructive and easy going. The final bill was within the parameters we expected. (And one of the other bidders was going to end up quite a bit higher just by the terms of their proposal.) The Augustine roofing team was fast, thorough and very professional. Pedro, the team leader, was extraordinarily detail oriented. His work on the flashing alone was fastidious in fixing once and for all what had been a chronic problem. The roof itself looks great, all the lines flowing evenly and the close up details all neatly finished in every case. Unfortunately the gutter guys (who may have been subs) did not exhibit quite the same attention to detail, so if you have special requirements in the gutter area, stay on top of it. It wasn't a disaster by any means, but something was missed that had been discussed. Overall, this is an excellent, honest, fair-dealing company that I would recommend to any of my friends.

After strong winds blew off roof shingles on my 15 year old builder's grade asphalt shingled roof I contacted Augustine Roofing to replace missing shingles. They were quick to return my phone call and came out to make repairs. They went above just replacing missing shingles. They did a full inspection and sealed around pipes as well as making sure ridge vents were secure. A very positive experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend Augustine Roofing and will definitely use them next year for a new roof. In the meantime if I have any other issues with my aging roof it is huge to know I can call Augustine Roofing for repairs. Thank you for a job very well done!

Augustine Roofing did a great job from beginning to end. It started with an on site inspection, followed up with a desirable estimate compared to the others we had gathered. Selecting Augustine was a no-brainer for us as they had come highly recommended from family members, and had gone the ?extra mile? by addressing roof issues at another one of our family members home. Tony was excellent as he managed things from the office. My wife was concerned about the color/style, and Tony provided us with a number of samples, and took the time to put ID tags on each sample (and there were quite a few), so as not to confuse things. Pedro was excellent as he lead the crew throughout the job, was attentive to our questions and was very professional. The job turned out excellent. Augustine did a great job from start to finish, and clearly take pride in their work.

The estimate process was easy with no pressure or sales pitch. The estimator looked at the house, talked about the material options and then sent a quote the next day. The job was completed in one day with a crew of 8-10. They clearly knew what they were doing and were very efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Before you sign a contract with anyone you should at least get a quote from them. My neighbor and I got several quotes and this was about the lowest and Augustine gets great ratings.

After meeting with several sales reps from roofing companies found on Angie's list, I met Bill Augustine. He describes himself as a roofer, not a sales person. How refreshing it was to get an estimate from a professional who would do the work. His proposal was the most competitive, and he exuded confidence about the job to be done. I was out of town when the work was done, but Bill kept me abreast of the job by e-mail. I returned to find a great job done. I highly recommend Bill for roofing needs.

We chose Augustine Roofing after seeing several of our neighbors roofs. We are very happy with Augustine including the price, quality, and communication. Ben came out for the estimate and quickly responded with quote and setting up work. He was helped us with the shingle color as well. The weather did not cooperate (blizzard!) for our scheduled dates. Ben kept in constant contact giving us updates on an new time for our work. Employees that came to do the roof were punctual and got right to work. They were careful with the clean up making sure nails, trash and debris were removed. We also had our gutters replaced. They look AMAZING. They made some modifications to the layout and it looks much better. The new gutters have screen covers too. We would use Augustine again and are recommending them to some of our friends. Thank You!

I had problems with my insurance adjuster, whom I thought had underestimated the cost of a new roof. Ben worked with him and ended up quoting me a lower price. On top of that, I got a senior discount, which was very helpful since I am retired. The workers arrived at 7:40am on Saturday. Originally, the appointment was for Friday, but due to the heavy snow it was delayed one day. The roof was installed by 4:00pm, and then they cleaned up the debris left by the installation. The foreman took pictures for me so that I could send them to the insurance adjuster. I am very pleased with the work they did, and would highly recommend Augustine to anyone looking for a roofer. They were recommended by my neighbor, who had them replace his roof two years ago. Thank you Ben!
