I located this vendor on Angie's list and sent an email with a detailed description of the Handyman services needed and asked for availablity and interest in the list of work. No response was received.

Great. Victor was easy to deal with and responsive. The workmen (including Victor who came in to supervise, and was flexible enough to let me add the disposal to the task list) were prompt, polite, highly competent, and cleaned up completely after they finished. The price was quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of the work. I would definitely use them again. A great company.

I contacted Ashburn Handyman based on other Angies list reviews, and very happy I did. Nick arranged to come out for an estimate at my convenience and promptly. They were able to schedule a date quickly and showed up right on time. The team was here all day installing a sink, running electric to two rooms in order to install ceiling fan with light, minor repairs on banister/railings and the roof. Victor stopped in at the end of the day to ask how the day went and ensure the job was complete to my expectations. The repair on the railing that was loose and pulling away from the wall only required being secured by a long screw, and Victor adjusted the estimated cost to a very fair price based on the fact there was really no work involved. Overall, Ashburn Handyman offers great customer service, is very fair in pricing, and follows through with a job well done. I would and will use them again and would recommend Victor and his team to others.

Victor Menendez and his staff did an excellent job repairing basement drywall after damage from hurricane Sandy. We scheduled the appointment two weeks earlier, the repair was completed just as I requested, and the clean up afterwards was good. My only minor issue was that his staff was slightly late showing up both mornings of the job. Still I would recommend Ashburn Handyman for your home repair/restoration needs.

Responded promptly to the inquiry. However, they did not followup with the promised work date information.

Very pleased! Victor and his team were punctual, very responsive and left behind no mess or debris. We were in a hurry to get some damage from Hurricane Sandy repaired before it rained again and Victor was able to respond immediately with his team coming out the next day. The price was not the cheapest of the quotes we had received, but their ability to accommodate us made it worthwhile. We really liked Victor and the team and fully intend on using them for future jobs.

The Ashburn Handyman was very professional and friendly. I had water leaking through a window of my house and after Victor (the Ashburn Handyman) inspected the window, inside and out, he said that all it truly needed was to be re-chaulked. He was willing to provide the service but also said that if I was handy, I could quite easily do this myself...which I plan on doing myself. He did not charge me for the advice. I will keep him in mind the next time I do have a project that is too big to handle on my own. Thank you Victor for your honesty when assessing my window issue!

My storm door had blown open which pulled it out of alignment and would no longer close and latch. I was going out of town in a few days so I called Victor. He came by within a day and realigned the door which required work to both the door and framing.

I have used this vendor many times during the past several years for different repairs. He always does an outstanding job.

I had used Ashburn Handyman a year ago to repair another leak I had around a skylight (in another part of the house) caused by a powerful rainstorm. I was very pleased by the work they did then so I knew right away who to contact. I went to their website and typed in a service request. I received an email confirmation from them several hours later, with some possible dates and times within the next couple of days. Via email we agreed on a time and Ashburn Handyman was right on time on the agreed upon day. A supervisor came out in his car and another man drove up in a service truck. The worked together to put ladders up against the roof, then they scoped out the problem together for 10 minutes or so. They assembled their work materials and went back up on the roof, pulled the shingles back, and installed a new 'boot' around the vent pipe, applied caulking, and put the shingles back properly. They also caulked around a nearby skylight to fill in some cracks in the existing caulking that they observed, which was a courtesy much appreciated by me. I appreciated the professional way they planned and executed the job, and the way in which they communicated with me. I feel the quality of the work was excellent, and the cost was very fair. I know who I am going to call whenever I have any problems like this in the future, Ashburn Handyman. Another great Angie's List provider.

Excellent workers, efficient, clean, professional.

The initial quote was for $14,000, but then we added more on, so it ended up being more expensive, but we knew that was going to happen. They gave us an estimate in a timely manner and we actually had gotten an estimate from another contractor that we had not gotten on Angie's List and they beat that contractor.

Victor and his workers showed up on time as promised and worked several full 12 to 14 hour days to finish in time for a party we were hosting the following weekend. His workers were very friendly and accommodating when we asked for extra work to be done or adjustments as the work was being finished. Everyday Victor came to the house both in the morning and most evenings to make sure we were happy with the work and progress and to discuss any adjustments that needed to be made to the job. The paintwork looks great still today, over a year after the work was completed and the caulking and sealing has remained intact through four seasons. Victor is very personable and that makes dealing with him very easy and his employees carry the same friendliness which made for a great experience. We are very satisfied customers and have reccomended Ashburn Handyman to several friends and neighbors and contracted him for additional work since this job. Thanks!

Victor was pleasant and helpful. Came out to look everything over and sent me an estimate and we set up the date for work to be done. Victor's son called to collect my credit card information. The workmen came on time and were clean and professional. They cleaned up after themselves when they were done. I felt comfortable/safe having them in my home. The work was done well; we are enjoying using everything that was fixed.

Bottom line up front: I do not have to shop around for any services that Ashburn Handyman performs--I will always go to him. This is actually the second time I have called him. The first time was for a window that leaked after a really bad storm. He and his colleague looked at the window for a long time and couldn't find anything wrong with it. He brought me out, explained to me about windows, etc., and said he thought it was the severity of the storm but to contact him if I found it leaked again. He did not charge me and the window has not leaked again (it has been a couple of years). This time I called him because the gutter was coming off of my house. He gave me an estimate over the phone and had his team there in a couple of hours. The problem ended up being worse than initially thought (not only the gutters but board the gutters were nailed in to) were coming off. This was going to take a lot more time. He raised his initial estimate only slightly because he hadn't come out to see the level of damage prior to giving me an estimate. His team was there for a couple of hours longer than anticipated, but the charge did not change. The entire time he kept in touch with his crew--it was clear they were talking to him the entire time and keeping him apprised of the situation. I thought that this was nice and reassuring. I find Ashburn Handyman to be honest, to do good work, and to communicate well. He always describes the problem and you end up learning a lot. To me, it's important to find somebody that I can trust to give me a fair price and to do a good job without having to worry. This is what I have found with him and I do not feel the need to shop around. He will be the only one I call.

The door replacement needed some adjustment on both the existing door frame and the new door. Victor and his assistant did a great job in a timely fashion. I am very pleased with my new door.

Victor and his crew arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day. The finished project was well done and beyond what I expected. A minor comment maybe that the communication between Victor and myself concerning the list of projects to be completed was scattered. This is partially my fault as we discussed numerous items and I did not verify which of them were included in the estimate. Victor was very willing to complete the whole list the day of the project with only going a little over the estimate. I would happily use Ashburn Handyman again. Their professionalism and good work is well worth the time and money.

Mr MENENDEZ came for estimate but never sent the estimate even after following up with him

The work was performed on time and within budget. In fact, the work on the garage trim turned out to be less involved than we originally thought since Victor came up with a less-involved way to perform the repair even though the estimate was higher. I appreciate the honesty and integrity in not over-doing the job since cost avoidance is clearly important to everyone these days. I would definitely recommend Victor and his team to my friends and plan to use them again when I have the need.

Excellent. Courteous & responsive. Provided an estimate. Did superb work above & beyond including painting the inside of the doors which wasn't requested. Left the job site neat & tidy. Wonderful work.

We had some initial lag in making contact back and forth via e-mail, but it all worked out. He showed up when he said he would, and his crew did an excellent job, finishing faster than I expected and much faster than I could have done it myself. I'm sufficiently impressed that I intend to use him for some other jobs around the house and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

they did very good work... very happy with the work they performed..... in fact they did a little more then they were supposed to do...... As you gave me no option above to say 'maybe' i was forced to say yes on the item below.... Would you use this company/individual again in the future?: Yes No I would definitely look for a competing price proposal...from at least two other companies... and gotten a much more detail work up of price for materials and labor.
