Handyman arrived on time on the date indicated, provided free estimate, purchased all materials and left some excess materials behind for future repairs.

Victor was very responsive throughout the process of scheduling appointments for estimate and performing the work. He was very accommodating to our busy schedule and even came on a weeknight evening (after he is normally done for the day) to do the estimate. While installing the unit Victor discovered a problem that required him to go to Home Depot for additional supplies,but he explained the issue and cost of materials and gained our permission before purchasing. As the storage unit will hold 200 pounds and suspended from ceiling above our cars it was imperative that it be very well secured and reinforced and Victor ensured that it is. The final cost was in line with our estimate so no surprises. We plan to hire Victor again for other work around our house in the future.

Service is friendly and punctual. If anything does go wrong, they are quick to return and correct the problems at no charge. Prices seem slightly high but quality is good.

I can understand why people have the need to reschedule, but not showing up--no call, no email, nothing--is unprofessional in the extreme. And to do it twice? At least I didn't pay him anything. This is the first experience I've had which left me wondering how the business in question got their good rating in the first place. My advice: find another contractor.

He did a good job. He is a very professional and reliable handyman. He is very personable and I have had no problems with him. His prices were very reasonable. He has done other plumbing and carpentry work for me inside my house.

They provided a good faith estimate in the beginning which had to be increased due to findings of other rotten wood siding panels. A crew of four did the work in 3 days time. They took off all the siding on one side of my house, and while doing so discovered that there were two layers of wood siding which had been nailed up originally so they had to remove two layers not just one. After the new siding had been attached, they painted it all, matching almost perfectly the paint color on the rest of the house. They picked up after the job was completed. We were very satisfied with their work and it has held up during this last winter.

The handyman came within the same week I requested an estimate and provided a written estimate the following day. He returned the following week on the scheduled day for a 2 day job that involved removal and replacement of rotten wood, painting exterior trim on entire house, weather stripping the front door, and a minor plumbing repair for a leading bathroom faucet. He did the initial repair on the faucet the day of the estimate and after one use it started leaking again, so when I reported that at the time I approved the estimate, he indicated that we would repair it again when he returned to paint and weather strip. He was able to fix the plumbing repair the second time around, so I was satisfied with all 3 jobs. I have used him once before and found that he responds in a timely way and adheres to the estimate on the final bill. Given the number of staff involved 1-3 people over 2 days, I thought the estimate of 1700 was reasonable. My neighbor was also satisfied with the work that she saw and hired him to do exterior painting and replacement of rotten wood.

If you have a problem, his happy face is the one you want to see. Easy manner, tackles everything with confidence.

After finding Ashburn Handyman on Angie's List, I went to their website. I called as the website suggests to do, and after describing the problem he told me he wasn't going to remember (the explanation wasn't lengthy) and would I please email with the details. So I emailed, and then no response for over a week. I emailed again, and gave the details again, and said I had been waiting on a response. He did respond, asking me to give a description of the work (for now the fourth time). I pointed out that I had included it on the previous post, and copied and pasted it. He responded that he would come by and take a look (the work is on the outside of the house) and get an estimate to me - that was 4 days ago, and still nothing. Disappointing, given how well reviewed this guy is for his work - but if this is how he handles the jobs before he gets them it doesn't inspire confidence.

Victor arrived on time, assessed what was to be done and set to work. He was friendly and did all of the jobs very well.

The first individual was very good, the second was not. The second individual went very slow as he was being paid by the hour.

Victor was very professional and did a great job. I initially wanted to replace all pickets on the deck, which would have been costly, Victor informed me this was not needed and gave me a fair assessment of my needs. I appreciate his honesty. The work was completed in three days (excluding rain delays). I am very happy with the final product and will surely contact him in the future.

Victor was competent and professional. He provided assistance to me in dealing with my a/c company after he found the leak they caused. He also found a leak in my exterior stucco that caused my door frame to rot. He replaced it. He is friendly and a joy to work with. He does not have a license, which may cause some people concern.

Victor and crew arrived as planned and dug into the project. The wood trim around the windows, bump outs for the living room and kitchen, and front door was rotted and required replacement. The crew pulled off all the bad wood, replaced and caulked with 35 year caulk. I've had the house painted before and had to work with the crew to match the paint. Victor selected the paint that I requested and matched the paint exactly without my involvement. His crew also cleaned my gutters, tacked them back against the house and replaced a piece of hand rail on the deck at no additional cost. He also checked the roof and reattached some loose shingles. The job turned out great and I'm good for another 10 years; hopefully.

Very good job. Expert carpentry. This is our second experience with Victor and we would use his services again in the future, should the need arise.

I called Victor to powerwash and clean the siding in my 14 year old house, clean the gutters and repair a piece of the siding which came off just under the roof line. Victor drove by my house and then called me and emailed me an estimate. On the phone he set a date when he could do the work and then called the day before to confirm and asked if he could pre-stage some ladders at my house that evening. The day of the work he arrived exactly on time, him and his crew worked the entire day going way above and beyond just simple powerwashing. They scrubbed all of the siding by hand to remove the accumlated dirt and mildew, cleaned out the gutters and repaired the siding. They then cleaned up their mess and Victor walked me around showing me everything they did, and telling me about different things I need to keep an eye on in the future. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results. I would recommend him to anyone who wants high quality work done and doesn't want to waste time or money with second rate contractors.
