We had a few repairs we needed done on a townhouse before the next renter moved in and Victor did the repairs for us. He gave us an estimate and did a good job, was professional and helpful. It was a little hard scheduling in the beginning for him to come out because of other jobs he had to do, but the repairs were completed before the renter moved in. Recently the garbage disposal wouldn't work and I called him and he gave me advice over the phone to try first and the renters were able to get it working. I appreciated the advice when he could have just come and charged me. I will definitely call him again with any repairs!

He called and made an appt. for an estimate. Then he came and did the work he contracted for. Since he didn't have to do as much as he thought originally he reduced the price. He was very polite, kind and hard-working.

Emailed Victor, he replied promptly and we set up a time for an estimate. Next step was scheduling a time for the work to take place, which had to occur around my work schedule. Victor called to confirm the night before the scheduled work, and he and his crew showed up on a timely basis. I was told this would take 2 days to complete - due to the deck - and Victor stayed to that schedule. I believe they had some issue with the power washer, but still completed the work on time. The quality of the work was excellent - the door frame and door look brand new, as does the outside railing. The deck was not in good shape, and required not only the power washing & stain, but minor carpentry work. It looks 100% better and I am now able to use it. I think the price for the deck work was a little high, but the quality of the work made up for it. The crew was considerate and thoughtful throughout the project - both inside and outside of my home. I would not hesitate to hire Victor again, and would highly recommend him (and company) to anyone. All in all a very good, painless experience.

Very good job! All work done timely, in a few days. While changing rotten balcony outside, team didn't stop working in the pouring rain and got it completed on time. Painted with a perfect color match. As an extra with no charge they caulked cracks between bricks around the entrance. Need to mention, Victor aimed to perfection - guys did this free caulking twice just for better quality and look. Also, I would like to note, that Victor is very open to share his knowledge and generously does extra work. We painted the deck ourselves but after seeing our poor work Victor made one of his workers to repaint it and he didn't charge us at all. We had the shutter on one of the windows torn down by the wind, they nailed it back with no charge. It was convenient that three different jobs were done simultaneously, not stretched over endless time. They changed balcony and metal rake wrap outside and installed plastic railing all over basement the same day. Also, it was convenient that Victor himself found and brought the metal rake wrap.

Excellent work! It is the third time we hired Victor to do the work and again a great experience. All work was done by Anthony, we consider him to be one of the best Victor's guys. As usual he worked hard and non-stop to finish it on time and with quality. He also helped to install medicinal cabinet and hang the mirror for no extra charge.

They were good, responsible and did the job. They couldn't do everything I wanted because they weren't equipped to do everything but I was pleased with what they could do.

Victor was quick to respond to an email I sent him and provided an estimate of the task within 15 minutes. His estimate compared favorably with other estimates I had received. On the selected date, he came in with 2 helpers and started promptly at 8am. The workers were very diligent with their work, but it did run into the following day - Victor told me it was because they had to apply an additional coat to the door (which wasn't the case as I confirmed with his worker), but all said and done, it didn't affect the price we had agreed on. The following day, the workers completed the work and Victor gave me a demo on how to maintain our brick walk-way which I appreciated. Overall I was happy with the work they did. I didn't need to buy the paint or the sand required for the walkway - they did the job to my satisfaction and it was rather hands off on my part. I did have to pay an advance which I thought was acceptable. Even though the pricing was competitive, I was surprised that painting a door, garage and panels can cost as much as $1500! (Hence the overall B for "Good")

.I went with someone else as ASHBURN HANDYMAN gave a ridiculously high estimate. They were twice as high as anybody else I talked to. I began to get the impression that Angies List can be double edged sword in that regard. It is great as a reference for people like me in terms of finding somebody reliable. However, once that person gets a good reputation on Angies List then they become almost overwhelmed with business requests and they are in a position to jack up their prices up. So that appears to be what I consider to be the down side to Angies List. As a matter of fact I did not have any personal contact with the person who came by. My wife noticed that there was truck upfront and I went downstairs and I saw somebody walking around my house. The next moment I knew he got into his truck and took off. Then I got a call from him and he told that he had been out and looked at the house and gave me the estimate over the phone as to what he wanted for the job. I will not consider this company for a quote in the future.

Not much to tell. They did a good job.

Their price was little high. They were good all the way round.

The price was more than fair and we were very happy. He came in on the weekend so our office would not have any interruptions.

Although the blurb about his services on Angie's list says there's "no fee for travel charges and costs are determined by the job", I was disappointed to be told by Victor via email, "its best you find someone local I only work in your area if work is above 2000.00,I would have to charge you 475.00 ,to fix your glass and 200.00 for your guttersThank you for considering us." I had a small 12x6 inch glass pane that needed to be replaced, a piece of dry wall (about 2"x2") and wanted to get the gutters cleaned. Obviously, this wasn't a big job, but I was surprised and disappointed to hear that he wouldn't come to Arlington without charging me $2000. I think the blurb on Angie's list is definitely misleading and his website is misleading as well since it says: "We give Free Estimates and no job is too big or too small!" I was really impressed with the great reviews and would certainly be wiling to retract this review if he updated his company description to let customers in Arlington (and probably elsewhere, as well?) that there is a minimum charge of $2000 for his services here! To his credit, he replied to my email the same day I wrote him.

AH answers his phone and is very responsive. He completed the task without any problems.

Excellent job in a timely manner! We?ve got a house ? total disaster: abandoned, pipes froze and water flooded all three floors, almost all basement ceiling torn apart, large holes in the kitchen ceiling, two feet high drywall on all perimeter of the basement wall was missing. We have called 6 different drywall handyman for the estimate. All except Ashburn handyman (Victor) could make an appointment only in a few days. Victor came the very next day, literally first thing in the morning - at 7 a.m. His estimate for drywall repair was neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive one, but his energy and knowledge surpassed others. After he left that day we switched on water in our new house and got two heavy waterfalls on the second and first floor. When I called Victor he told me not to fall into despair and came again the next day first thing in the morning ? 7 a.m . Again the very next day he and his helper Gabriel fixed 6 leaks in our house. I need to point out that they paid attention to our request and did as we asked when we wanted to change the whole pipe in the kitchen, not leave two adjoining pieces of pipe. Victor was running and testing all over the house not to miss any small drop of water leaking. Very honest attitude! To fix the leaks Victor and Gabriel had to open kitchen wall and garage ceiling and wall. When they had to leave and a new leak was discovered after we have switched on the hot water, they stayed till they fixed it. It is important to mention that our A/C was broke and outside temperature was around 107F. Despite it was unbearably hot inside the house; Victor and Gabriel never complained and kept doing their work thoroughly. That is when we started calling Victor Ashburn Superman :) Again the very next day, although it was Saturday, Victor?s team of 5 people arrived to do the drywall. They worked till the end of Sunday. Not any other drywall specialists we called could promise us completion in such a timely manner. Very friendly team did a good quality job. It was even greater amount of work as additional drywall in the kitchen, bedroom, garage wall and ceiling needed repair after fixing the leaks. It took one more day to do touch ups and change faucets in the kitchen and in the shower. They literally worked till the work was done even if it was late at night. Beginning estimate of $1,800 grew up to $2,485 as more damages were discovered. Still a lot of work at a very affordable price. Sheetrock (the compound they cover the walls with) wasn?t drying fast enough but we had carpet guys coming and, although, all Victor?s man were busy he had managed to find two guys to come to our house and do sanding the day before laying a carpet. Very reliable! And almost as a joke - the day all drywall and leak repairs were finally done we got an estimate from the Moss guy (best handyman by Angie?s), who came to take a look at the house the very same day we saw Victor, Ashburn Handyman, for the first time (for an estimate, too). Only seven days passed! :)

As a result of an exterior inspection by the Architectural Review Committee in my townhouse community, I was informed that I needed to replace water damaged/rotted wood on the exterior overhang on the front of my house. On June 3, I contacted Victor at Ashburn Handyman via email. Victor responded the next day and we agreed that he would come by on June 10 at 10 am to evaluate the situation. At the appointed time, my doorbell rang. During the evaluation, Victor pointed out a couple other items (the trim for the bay and the back door) that were in need of work. I could see for myself that these additional areas also needed to be fixed and did not at any time feel that Victor was trying to "add on" to the original job. I believe that he saved me from more extensive repairs in the future. Victor sent me a written estimate which I agreed to and we scheduled the work for June 17. On the 15th, Victor dropped off the wood, trim and paint for the job. As it turns out, Victor and his crew finished a job on the 16th earlier than expected and they then were able to take care of my work a day early. This was certainly no hardship for me! Victor and his crew were very professional, courteous and respectful of my property. The back door is 1 full story above the ground with no adjoining deck so much of the work needed to be done from the inside of the house. When the work on the door was finished, my floors and carpet were as need and clean as before. The outside areas were totally cleaned of all debris. That night and on subsequent days we had several severe storms move through the area. I was concerned about how everything would hold up as the caulking and painting was so fresh. I emailed Victor and asked if he could stop by and check things out. He found a spot where the siding was not correctly installed which created a gap allowing water to get behind the wood. Although this had nothing to do with the work I had contracted with him to do, Victor caulked the gap to seal it. He also told me he will stop by occasionally to check it to make sure it is holding. Given his conscientiousness so far, I believe he will do so. Victor was incredibly easy to work with. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions. I will definitely use his services again!

Victor of Ashburn Handyman promptly called us back when we inquired of his services. He came out the next day and inspected the bay window. He gave us an estimate within two days and it was a very fair estimate. Definitely thought it would be much more. We scheduled a date and Victor's assistant came out promptly that morning. We ended up having to have all of the wood taken off and replaced due to extreme rot and repainted according to HOA Guidelines for our home. We had bought the paint since it was specific to our house and had to be purchased from a dealer who provides for our neighborhood. Victor's assistant did an excellent job. It took two days to perform the job but it was well worth it. The bay window looks brand new. I would definitely re-hire Victor and his staff at Ashburn Handyman again and plan on doing so next year when I have other areas that need repair. I would hire them for most everything that needs to be done to a home. Victor is extremely knowledgeable and knows what he is doing and knows what he is talking about. Great job!

Victor showed up promptly when promised to assess the work to be done. He followed up with a quote shortly thereafter, and once that was agreed upon, he showed up on the appointed day to replace a rotted window with a replacement I provided. He was very reliable, trustworthy, and delivered everything as promised. I'd definitely use his services again!

He is fantastic in every single way; I can?t praise him enough. He did great. He is an honest man, he isn?t going to cheat you, he charges fair prices, and he comes as soon as he can. His workers are also great and they do nice work.

I left a note for Victor on his website on Monday and he sent me an email Tuesday morning. He agreed to come give a free estimate on Friday. He was a bit late to the estimate, but he called me to be sure that it would be OK (he had an estimate before mine that took longer than expected). When he arrived, he was pleasant and quickly identified the problem with the door. He gave me an estimate immediately and we planned for him to return at 9am the following Thursday. Victor and his assistant showed up at 9:00 on the dot and began working. I showed them where they could plug their tools in and then went back to work. They didn't need anything from me; they knew what needed to be done. They encountered some difficulty installing the screen door due to the door frame being misaligned, both side to side, which they were able to fix, but also in-and-out, which would require more costly repairs. However, Victor was determined to get it to work, and didn't leave until the job was done to his (and certainly my) satisfaction. When they left, I had a front door that seals properly, and a functional screen door that finally allowed me to get a breeze from the front of the house. Due the the unforeseen challenges they encountered, they took longer than expected and had to push another appointment back a bit. I was not charged any extra for the extra time they spent. They did a fantastic job!

The entire job went smoothly from start to finish. He responded to my call immediately, came out within a few days to provide an estimate, and completed the work within a week of giving the estimate. The work was done professionally and exactly as we expected - no surprises. We had a small issue with the door a few weeks later and Victor returmed promptly to correct it. We are very happy with the result.

This company was a delightful surprise to work with. They worked at my home for three days from beginning to end of the project even though the weather was challenging. They were on time, courteous and provided concise reasonable estimates for all work. They were knowledgeable in all areas covered, and worked independently to figure out any obstacles. When there was a question that arose, they always asked and did everything to my expectations and beyond. Clean up of the work was thorough. I have found my new local contractor!

We had a hole in our bathroom ceiling from a leak. The serviceman was prompt, professional, and efficient. The work looks great, a large portion of the ceiling was replaced, and blends with the rest perfectly. Highly recommend and will definitely use their services again.

Their price is reasonable and they did a great job. The job was perfect.

I had not paid for the service. One of my windows was leaking after the big rains and he came out with one of his people and completely looked all over and could not find the reason for the leak. So he didn't charge me for it. He didn't do any work for me it was more of an assessment. If I had any problem again I would go with them. He totally built trust; he brought me out there to show me what he is looking at and why he was looking at it how he thought it should be leaking. Often you get discounted as a woman that was not the case with him. I offered to pay him, but he said I didn't find anything wrong. If it starts raining again like that bring me back out here so that I can figure it out where the problem is. It really made me have faith in his work and integrity. He was here for a while, at least half an hour and he didn't even charge me a service charge.
