Every aspect of my experience with the Ashburn Handyman team was positive. Victor was quick to come out and give me a free estimate then once I was ready, he had his crew out within a week. The work crew arrived on time, were friendly, and did a great job. Repairing the stairs turned out to be a bigger job than Victor anticipated but he did not allow the cost to balloon far from the estimated cost. I wont hesitate to call Ashburn Handyman for any future repairs to my home.

Victor and his crew are extremely professional, efficient, polite - a pleasure to work with.Since the plumbing project necessitated drywall repair, I was especially pleased that they could handle both aspects of the job in one visit. It is clear they take pride in, and care about, the quality of their work.I will definitely use them again.

After a rain delay, the team arrived exactly as agreed in terms of time and place. They removed the fasciaboards, cut the new pieces and mounted them on the underside of the roof. The site was so high that their ladders barely reached, so they worked from the roof and the lower side to assure proper mounting. Victor Menendez was there at the start and later stopped by to review the work. The work crew cleaned up after itself and worked quickly and efficiently. Victor was poilite and knew his business, he has the customer interface well covered. The job was done and looks very good. The best thing was that I didn't have to climb a ladder and deal with the altitude of the worksite. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the job. I have asked Victor to quote a second job a bit closer to the ground!

The experience went very well from start to finish. Victor was very responsive, polite, and honest in his assessment of the job. The quote I received was extremely reasonable in comparison to other deck building/repair companies. They showed up as scheduled and completed the work in a couple days. I think they may have underestimated how many days it would take to do the job.... but other than that we were very satsified with the work they performed. I would definately consider them for additional jobs in the future.

This was a rush job to try to wrap up a room remodel in preparation for the arrival of twins. Victor was awesome - he worked with me over the holidays to quote the job and then had an amazing team there to work within a few days. They arrived on site right on time and worked very hard to wrap everything up. Everyone was very professional and Victor was there any time we had a question. The work area was sealed off from the rest of the house to minimize impact to our living space. The price was higher than the other quotes that we had, but Victor was the only one who seemed to understand (and explain to us) what was really involved in the job. We were putting our house on the market when we hired Victor and wanted to get the work done as quickly as possible. We had the much of the house painted, as well as a lot of drywall work and little repairs around the house. Victor and his team were prompt and thorough. We put the house on the market, and we had a contract in two days. Two days before our home inspection, our water heater leaked through the ceiling. We called Victor in a panic, and he came out that night to look at it and try to repair it. We ended up needing to put a new water heater in, and his team took care of everything and gave us a much better quote than anyone else that we called. I would highly recommend Victor and will definitely use his services again.

I contacted Mr. Menendez regarding the replacement of our sliding door. My husband and I had removed carpeting to lay down laminate when we realized the door had been leaking. We wanted it replaced before continuing with out work. I knew that water damage was a possibility and let Victor know. He came to measure and we set up a time and day for the replacement, repair. The crew, 2 men, arrived about half an hour late -- from my experience that's not so bad! They went to work right away. The water damage was worse than expected. The crew went and purchased new wood to complete the replacement. We ran into another snag when the door that had been purchased was missing screws and after assembly, it was too small to fit in the hole. The crew made a 3rd trip to Home Depot to resize the door frame. They installed new flashing, tightened the siding, and caulked everything. The end result is the door I needed and the damage repaired. and the fee was half what I'd expected. My only word of advice is that Mr. Menendez is much easier to get in touch with through texting or phone calls than through email. He was very prompt in returning my calls, including the initial inquiry. Regarding his crew--they worked really well together and they were beyond polite. I am a non-smoker with children so I can easily smell when someone has recently had a cigarette and so can my children. At no point did either of the 2 crew members come into my home with the scent of cigarette smoke on them and I am truly grateful for this!

The owner, Victor Menendez, was a little hard to get hold of initially. It took a few calls to set up the visit for an estimate and again to finalize the work date. This appears to be a result of running everything himself. However, Mr. Menendez was very knowledgeable, honest, and forthright on the phone and in person. The estimate was a bit pricey, but I felt comfortable that the job would be done correctly, so I did not get other estimates. Two workers appeared on time, well prepared with all of the right equipment and materials, and they did an outstanding job. They were very professional. I am extremely pleased with the results. I will hire Ashburn Handyman again when the need arises, and I highly recommend them.

Guy came by and said he'd send an estimate for the work. 2 weeks later, I followed up and he apologized and said estimate was on it's way and to "hang on". Still never heard from him! Stay away and find a more reliable handyman.

He was prompt and charged a fair price.

The job went great, overall. They are very efficient. Their administration is very good. They call back when they say would call back. They come when they say they are going to come. They call if they are going to be late. Their prices were reasonable. It was awesome. They do what they say they are going to do, when they say\y they are going to do it. They came out and did an estimate for me quickly. They accommodated me so that was good. I would use them again in the future.

The price was very reasonable. They are very flexible. They are very personable.

After recently moving into a townhouse (approx. 11 yrs old) we noticed some water damage along the floor in front of our front door. The floor was soft and we could see visable water damage along the trim and door. I called Victor after receiving another estimate from another handyman service. He was able to come that same day to give an estimate which was really convenient. After the other company changed dates and times about 3 times just for an estimate it was refreshing to have someone actually show up when they were supposed to, and also to be able to come that same day. He was able to explain in detail during the estimate what they would have to do and really took his time talking to and explaining everything to us. He was also able to look at the trim and wood on the rest of the house and advise us on what was going to have to be done. Saything that the main work would have to be done in one day because we couldn't be left with a hole in our house where the door was supposed to be. He gave us a written estimate that same night as well, because he said the job needed to be done as soon as possible to prevent any further damage. This was on I believe a Wednesday or Thursday night. We agreed to the estimate and they were able to start work that following Monday. The job took 2 days, and although Victor wasn't there for the entire day he did stop in at the beginning and end of each days to let us know what was going on and what they found. They showed up on time, when they said they would, and cleaned everything before they left, including sweeping the sawdust from our driveway. The first day they repaired/replaced everything and the second day they came back to finish painting the trim. Luckily the damage wasn't as extensive but they did find some problems that were caused by the original builder, i.e the door was not supported correctly. He was able to come in under the estimate due to the damage not being as bad as we had originally thought. All in all this was a very good experience in what could have been a pretty bad situation for us. They were very proffessional and completed the work in an timely and efficient manner. We plan on using his company again in the spring to repaint and caulk all of the trim and wood bumpouts on our townhouse. I would definitely reccommend them to anyone needing home repairs/handyman services.

.Mr. Menendez came two days later at the scheduled time with his assistant, who help hold the ladder in place while Mr. Menendez was on the roof. The work was accomplished in the amount of time he said it would take, and his estimate was exactly the cost. He also gave us a new can of primer pain so that we can spray on the water stain that appeared inside, and then paint over it with the can of paint we had left over from a recent repainting we did. He explained that when the skylight was installed 5 years ago, the installer did not completely seal a part of the skylight where it joins the roof, and it has taken 5 years for the material to work loose, and allow rain to start coming in. He fixed the bad spot and resealed it, and we have had two good rainstorms since then with no problems. I would not hesitate to call Mr. Menendez again, as he is reliable, professional, and does good work. I recommend him without any reservations. It's nice to deal with locally owned companies like his that have been in business here for decades.

Everything went well. Victor was very responsive. All the work was done in one morning by a team of three. All the team members were friendly.

I contacted Ashburn Handyman using their website form. Since it lists phone number as optional, I thought that was a good indication that I would get an email in return. This is important to me as it is difficult for me to receive calls during the day. (I did leave a phone number regardless, so they could leave a message.) I received back neither an email nor a phone call. I'm not going to use a service if they don't return the initial contact!!! It's a shame, the service is very well rated, and I was looking forward to having them do some work!!

We've used them 7 times at another property. We find them to be good and reasonably priced. We have no complaints. They are prompt and courteous. We would rate them highly.

We live on the west coast so the first test of any contractor is how well they deal with coordination of the project with out tenant. Victor at Ashburn Handyman passed with flying colors. He came out, looked at all the issues and prepared an estimate. We accepted the estimate. He scheduled the repairs with our tenant. On the day of the repair visit, he showed up with a crew of 4 guys and they knocked out all the work much faster than I expected. Our tenant was happy with the results and we were thrilled about the price.
