They did a good job.

Our Guys Around Town sent a 4-man crew in who worked for three days to pack and move all the contents of the house to storage. They were professional, energetic, efficient and thoughtful of the occupants who needed help to manage the job. They listened carefully and respectfully to special instructions and did whatever it took to keep the work moving forward. The large workshop was filled with metal shelving stacked with bulky materials and supplies, heavy equipment, workbences, vehicle parts and tools. This was a monumental project and the crew handled every aspect with care down to the smallest detail.

It turned out great! I like them. They're on time, professional, they made sure that the walls were not scuffed or damaged. They took care of the furniture, and moved in an efficient way. The movers were friendly and polite.

I was very pleased with the moving services Our Guys provided and would wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone considering a moving company. In addition to being reasonably priced, prior to the move, the company was responsive each and every time I had questions and most importantly, worked to accommodate my schedule when I needed to change the times of my move due to a delay in closing on a home I was purchasing. On the day of the move, the movers were on time, extremely professional, and moved quickly, but also took good care in ensuring that my belongings were properly secured for the move. I would highly recommend this company for anyone considering a residential move.

Worst move ever and am still moving four days later; Or the move from ****. They finally showed up at 5 pm, almost at the edge of the six hour window- but they got there. I had a window for moving at the new place of between 1 and 4 pm and had to work that out with the management company. Around 8 pm “M” the crew chief said no more (no mas). Not that the trunk was full; it was late and M did not want to deal with it anymore. I literally had to force them to get some of the other things - brass lamp, boxes etc. but not everything. Mind you that the two other crew members were great and hard working. I watched and worked along side of them since things were going so poorly. At 10 pm the evening was over and there was a $400 additional charge for two hours and something else. I got f@@ked on this and no good night kiss. May I get a refund? I don’t see any value in an incomplete job especially when that job was laid out and defined at the start (upon arrival). Would I recommend them - I think not.

Excellent! Four guys were booked and they arrived promptly and went to work! Very professional, efficient, and excellent work quality. Once we got to storage unit, I had a glitch with the size of the unit - way too small. So while I worked on that, the guys waited patiently until I got the new unit and went to work quickly in unloading. Finished in less than an hour! I will be hiring them again when I have to move my stuff into my new house in a few weeks.

Packing was just wonderful. The two workers were polite and hard-working. They were quiet but friendly, and worked so hard to get our condo all packed up in just 8 hours. The next day, Johnny and his crew (I have to call him by name because he was such a wonderful supervisor of all the guys who worked with him. They diligently got everything packed in record time! We told them we really needed to get on the road from DC to Florida so all three guys worked tirelessly to get us on the road by 3:30pm. What a friendly and hard-working crew! And they got to Florida just a day and 1/2 later. Johnny and his new crew was just as efficient as they were in DC. They were gone by 2:30 and it was done! We could not even begin to describe the professionalism, friendliness and passion of all the workers in the company. From the person who came to give us the estimate to the final move, EVERYONE was such a pleasure to work with and was always available to meet our needs. Also both days in DC during the move, the company sent out another supervisor just to check on us. It could not have been any more perfect. We could not be happier. Thank you so much for the best experience to make our move as smooth a transition as possible!

Very well. Marco and his crew were punctual, efficient and carefuL. I watched them unload everything and they were careful and courteous. Nothing was broken or damaged. They were also careful not to damage walls and flooring during the move out and in.

We are very pleased with the company and this move. Company was recommended by assisted living facility. Provided prompt and accurate quote for job and responsive scheduling. This was a complex move with furniture going from condo to three different locations: some to the assisted living facility, some to a second residence, and some to auction/disposal. Two man-moving crew arrived on site early. Understood the directions of where each piece went and worked quickly and efficiently without taking a break. Wrapped and moved all pieces with great care. They knew the procedures at the assisted living facility, quickly unloading and placing the items in accordance with instructions. Would highly recommend the company, especially for moves involving seniors.

Arrived on time. Although I paid for & reserved parking spaces on the street- people ignored the No Parking signs, so the movers had to adapt & find space to park the truck. They did a good job of moving us. Before the move, Eric patiently answered all our questions promptly, via email.

We had an initial disagreement on price for service rendered but everything eventually worked out. The packing, loading and unloading were competent.

TL;DR: Awesome movers, worth the price, highly recommend. Our Guys were awesome with our move this past weekend. The office was super responsive, friendly, and helpful; and the movers were fast, professional, and all around nice guys. We were moving out of a 1 bedroom apartment, and had to make a stop at a storage unit to pick up another 1 bedroom apartment worth of stuff, before taking it all over to the 4 bedroom house we were moving into. The quote and scheduling process was awesome. The rep I spoke with was Desiree and she was super friendly, explained everything in detail, and was happy to answer my questions. We scheduled a move for June 28. But then decided we wanted to move it up a week - Desiree made that process painless for us as well, even on somewhat short notice. As others have said, not the cheapest place, but totally worth it. I also appreciated that they give you a total price estimate and hourly rate upfront - no other fees or any surprises when it comes time to pay. There was a little mixup with the truck finding my apartment complex - happens all the time - so they were a few minutes late. Turned out the driver had been trying to call me to find out where exactly to go while I had been on the phone with the office trying to find out where they were. If I'd waited 2 more minutes to call, the whole thing would have been avoided. Oh well, my fault :) Plus, they brought an extra guy and charged me the same rate. Anyway, as soon as they showed up they went right to work. I was really impressed with the attention taken to wrapping up our stuff in shrink wrap and/or packing blankets. Most of our furniture is Ikea, so not exactly heirloom quality, but I appreciated their care anyway. The team lead was very friendly and good natured, which definitely made the whole process much less stressful. They were quick too - running back inside with the carts after each load. We were still packing a few boxes as they were moving things - I would take a box out, and it would be gone to the truck before I had even turned back around. Totally awesome. Once the apartment was loaded up, we drove down the street to the storage unit, and it was much the same story. They loaded a totally full 10x15 unit on the 2nd floor onto the truck in about an hour. After a quick lunch break, it was on to the house. It's a split level foyer so one of us was upstairs, and the other downstairs, and we just directed traffic as our stuff came in. Again, they were fast - running back to the truck after each load - professional, and friendly. I definitely felt like they wanted to make sure we were happy with where they were putting our stuff, which is awesome - I had never used movers before and was kind of afraid they'd just want to dump it and run. These guys were great. They also disassembled and reassembled my huge bed and kitchen table, which was awesome. Overall, very satisfied with the whole process with Our Guys. It did take longer than I'd hoped, but definitely not because of anything they did or didn't do - we just have more crap than I realized. I was happy and impressed with their hard work and hustle, and that's all you can really ask for. I would definitely recommend Our Guys to friends and will almost certainly use them again in the future.

Owner Dave Underwood put us at ease as he patiently explained how our goods would be packed, wrapped, loaded, stored and delivered. Eric the officer supervisor responded quickly whenever we needed boxes and materials. Kevin the roving supervisor stopped by our house regularly before and while the work was in progress. Working supervisor Alipio directed his 4-5 person crews in a professional and courteous manner. He responded quickly and positively to our concerns and questions. We had a lot of stuff and all of it came through in fine condition ~ with two minor exceptions: one cereal bowl was cracked in half and one antique bureau top was scratched. Dave arranged for a well-qualified, third-party contractor to restore the latter to perfect condition. It was a pleasure working with this company and we have since referred friends to them.

Miguel, Alex and Mario showed up on time and moved our big furniture from Reston to Leesburg. I was impressed with the care that they showed to our furniture as well as their efficiency. They assembled the bedroom furniture and our dining room and all of them were polite and willing to make any adjustment to my satisfaction. A great crew and I will personally request them again!

Team of Alex, Freddy and Dimas did great, careful work and were very nice! Big job, since we had so many pieces of antique furniture that needed to be wrapped and handled carefully. Stairs and tight corners involved in both start and end locations. Nothing was damaged at all. We didn't have time to get any other estimates, so I can't comment on relative cost. Price was based on time and we had more stuff going than originally planned. All three guys worked hard for about 5.5 hours - no resting was going on! I definitely plan to hire them again.

John Snyder and crew were outstanding! The arrived on time and wasted no time (time is our money) getting started, but took the time to carefully wrapped every piece of furniture. They were friendly, courteous, and efficient. Nothing was damaged, and they finished the job within the estimated time.

Overall they are HORRIBLE movers!!

Kim came out to give me an estimate and she was very nice and fun to talk with. The movers came on the following Sunday (loved the timing!) and the move went very smoothly. I had some heavy pieces and they didn't complain :-) After the move I received a very nice thank you note from Kim. They were initially recommended by my realtor and she said she's never had a complaint about them and now I know why. Thanks Kim and the gang!

I made my reservation with Around Town Movers by calling them after business hours one day and Jason called me back around 9am the next day. He gave me an estimate, explained that I would be working with two men and one truck, and I told him I had a card from my realtor that offered a 5% discount. Based on his responsiveness, courtesy and comprehensive answers to my questions, I booked them. I got a call the day before my moving confirming they were coming, and I explained that I didn't have the realtor's card anymore. They said they would still honor the 5% discount. The actual movers showed up about 30 minutes late - they were stuck in traffic - but I was not concerned because I had received a confirmation call the day before. The two men who moved my apartment were fast, polite, friendly and hard working. It was a very hot day and they worked like it was a normal day. They loaded the truck quickly, took care with all my belongings and asked that I transport some glass in my own car, and I was very comfortable with them. We got to my new condo and they unloaded the truck so quickly, I barely knew what happened! They let another person living in my building use the service elevator (they were doing kitchen remodeling) for about 20 minutes, but they did not charge me for this time. About a week after my move, I received a thank you note from them! I keep it on my bookshelf in my living room with my new home congrats cards and all of my friends have the same reaction - your movers sent you a thank you note?! I really, really don't want to move again any time soon, but if I do, I will be using Around Town Movers. I will recommend them to EVERYONE and I will never use anyone else!

They showed up on time. They didn't have all the people there that they said they would have; consequently, it took more time. Because it took more time, we were not overcharged.

I had an excellent experience with Around Town Movers - they were professional all the way. When I first contacted them, they were able to give me a reasonable price estimate, schedule the move on the day I wanted and send me a prompt confirmation. It was a relief to have this part of my moving experience handled so painlessly. On the day of the move, Around Town Movers arrived during the time frame they gave me, were extremely courteous and professional and were able to finish the job in the time they had originally estimated. Overall a very positive experience.

Employees were very courteous, prompt, efficient. The price was far lower than anyone other quotes I received and the service was excellent. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to all my associates and friends.
