Measured and provided replacement screens (metal frame, screen material and plastic latches) that fit exactly. Removed old screens from site and installed new screens. In this application involves removing movable portions of window system, which is not hard if you know what you are doing but impossible if you don't. Company was flexible on scheduling times for measuring and install. Very professional and easy to contact.

All was great. I was afraid they would pressure me into buying new windows. They fixed only what I needed fixed and were very courteous.

I heard the crack early on 1/8/15, called American Screen & Glass after they opened, and had Chris Jensen out before noon to have a look at it. He was professional and friendly and also advised me on several other window repairs we needed (but not on an urgent basic like this repair). The company sent me an estimate on the other repairs that afternoon, and came in the early afternoon on 1/9/15 to replace the cracked window. I was lucky that American Screen happened to have a window in stock to replace our cracked one. It was great that they were available to install it so soon for us too (with the record cold temps, we really needed it). I can't think of a bad thing to say (except windows are expensive to repair!!!). I will be using this company for future work on our windows and screens.

I called a number of glass companies to repair this door and had a wide range of price quotes and timing. American glass on the phone gave a less pricey estimate, and when the measurer came to do the estimate, the amount was even less. They were very honest about what they thought could be done and the risks. We ordered the replacement and the door arrived within expected time. The installation was highly successful! We are very happy with our new door.

Fabulous! They had a hiccup with one screen (I think someone's screen and ours were mixed up) but they had the correct one made and installed within two days. They were wonderful.

The service was great. They were highly recommended and the price did not seem unreasonable at the time. They actually came out to my place, measured it, took it away, brought it back, re-installed it and then balanced it. They gave me several options for the job. We talked it through and I actually went with a higher grade which is kind of a plastic screen that they had. I tell you, my screen has never worked so good since they re-installed and balanced it. They are really competent in knowing how to handle that.

Overall quite pleased. A couple windows had screens replaced and others were re-screened. Had a door re-screened as well. Company is punctual and they keep you apprised of progress. Quality of screens were good along with the re-screening work.

It went very well. The company representative arrived at the the agreed upon time and was friendly, courteous and professional. He removed the broken window frame from our basement, took it out to his truck, put a new window into our frame and then put everything back in place. The whole process took about an hour. I would gladly use this company again if a similar problem arose in the future.

American Screen and Glass did a great job replacing a fogged double pane window. Another vendor we had used in the past for a similar job, came and took measurements. Despite several calls and emails, they never provided the promised estimate, and we never heard from them again. We got the name of American Screen and Glass from a neighbor's recommendation. They came immediately. Gave us an estimate on site and took a deposit. The replacement glass was ordered that day. They made an appointment to install the replacement glass. Came on time and installed the new window quickly and professionally. They also provided the name of a company that could install UV film on the window to match the other panel in the sliding window.

At first it was ok. They came out to measure and told me my glass would take about 10 days. Later the following week, they called my bathroom contractor to tell him that the glass would be delayed by 3 weeks because they suddenly got busy. Three weeks later, they call me to schedule my install. Then they cancel (on the day of the delivery) because my glass did not arrive from the factory. They cancel and reschedule a second time. Then a third time. Each time, I had to take the morning off to wait for them. Finally rescheduled and delivered on the 4th try (their reschedule every time), 7 weeks from their original visit. Never once did the owner/account rep who visited my home to measure ever call me to apologize, keep me posted, or follow up. I had to initiate all communications. The scheduler was very polite. But the customer service stopped there. The door is installed a bit too far off of the floor of my shower, but I don't want them to come back to my house to fix it.

It was just under $700. They were very prompt. It was the second quote that I had gotten. It was probably $250 less than the quote I got from the other company. They were very, very careful when replacing the glass door. It's not real easy to do. It just went very, very smoothly. They were done in an hour. I've just been very happy with the work. They were very professional and very concerned about disruption in the house. I'm very happy with them.

After contacting many companies in the DC-Metro area, I chose American Glass based on their customer service (a friendly and REAL person answered their phone!) and price. I chose to replace some older windows in my home since the seals had been broken. As was explained to me, the seals can't be replaced (especially since the windows are more than 15 years old), and their recommendation was to replace the glass and seals. A total of 4 glass units were replaced. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. About a month after installation, I noticed that the windows were pulling down (letting heat out). I contacted them, and a service tech came out immediately. They explained that the new glass was heavier than the old one and made a few adjustments. It was reassuring to know they respond to needs months later, as well as to not charge for such minor repairs/adjustments. I have referred them to others and hope others use them.

They are very good. I have used them twice in emergency situations. The people were knowledgeable about the whole thing. I called them and they said they would do it. They were careful about vacuuming all the glass. They got all the glass up. They had a coupon with Angie's list and the price was good. The people that did the quote were professional. If i have to do anything else, they told me to call them.

I was referred to American Screen and Glass from another company that does not replace rollers on sliding glass doors. I called and made an appointment and was given a three-hour time window for a day within the week. I asked for an estimate. At nearly two hours into the window, I hadn't heard anything so I called the company. The person on the phone said she would check and get back with me. She did--promptly--and told me they were on their way. Sal and Jose arrived. They had an estimate from a previous job for $265 plus tax. I said to go ahead and do they job. They carefully removed the door and the stationary piece of glass, and replaced the rollers, which were completely rusted. One of the new rollers that they grabbed off the truck was malfunctioning, so I was happy to see that they didn't install that one in my door. The whole job took about an hour. They also quoted me a price to replace the pane of glass in the door (thermoseal has gone)--$500, and a new sliding screen door--$185. We opted just to repair the rollers at this point. They did leave a few rusty screws on the patio, but that's not a big deal. They were prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. And the door works now. And for all of those companies who say that you cannot replace the rollers on a sliding glass door and that you just need to buy a new door--it's not true. You can. You just have to find the right company to do so.

I am on the 4th floor of a condo building - but Ralph was able to do the removal and installation work in a timely and professional and clean manner yesterday. There was one last piece of outside upper trim that required 2 men to replace, so they sent out Gusmon & Sal today. Gusmon was literally standing on the window ledge and hanging outside of the window to reach the top to replace the outside trim. Very dangerous work and I was so worried about a fall that would have killed him - but he knew what the was doing and Sal was right there - so all went well. I do recommend some kind of harness or ropes when they do a dangerous job like mine, which they did not have. The new windows look great and they all deserve a bonus for their supreme efforts!

American Screen and glass fixed them in short order. Gave us an estimate on the spot, we thought it was fair and they came the next day and fixed them quickly and professionally

They are professional. Gave an estimate after the first visit. Gave an approx. time for repairs. I did not have to follow through by calling again. The came, completed the job in a few hours. Will use them again.

This is my second time using American Screen. I had a missing shower door in a newly acquired property and called American Screen to install a new one. Right before the technician came, I found the glass door in the basement. Technician Casey was very kind in showing me how to install the door and what types of nails to buy. Total charge: $0. American Screen deserves a AAA rating.
