I called American Screen & Glass to replace one broken window and he came up with the best offer. Chris showed on time and did the measurement. Natually I had to pay more than the estimate on the phone but he was willing to give a discount, which would be close to the original estimate. His office called me after the glass order arrived and Chris came and installed it. So far everything looks good

My interaction with them went well. I liked their customer service because they were very pleasant to work with in the office. They came out promptly to give me an estimate, they seemed to be knowledgeable and they gave me what they'd promised. They delivered. I think they were the best price. They shipped the window out to a company to be repaired. They didn't actually do the work.

They were fine. There were no problems and they did what they said they would do. They were very friendly and everything went very well. They were very prompt especially the guy who came out to look at it; he really knew what he was talking about. The young man that they sent out to replace it was very friendly as well. I found something to a little odd which actually is not a bad thing. I got the 10% off coupon from Angie’s List and that man did not know how to do 10% off; I did not want to embarrass him so I asked him what the total was and acted as if I was working it out myself. I found it quite odd that he did not know the basic math to get the 10% off. They need to teach their technicians how to do the basic 10% since that’s how much the coupons are for. I would still recommend them to my neighbors. Their technicians could carry a calculator. I did not compare their prices and chose them only because they were on Angie’s List and people were satisfied.

During my experience with them , I found them to be very quick in explaining their policies. The staff was friendly and produced a very fast response time. They were punctual and did a great job! They are the vendors of our condo association so I can't really give a grade for their prices.

They came as they say and they knew what to do. They were good.

Their services went well. I've had a problem with the sweeper the installed on the shower door so they came back and repaired them and it seems to be working just fine. They were prompt, efficient, clean and neat. I would not hesitate to call them again.

I needed to replace a window and sliding glass door glass in which the seal had broken, plus repair the screening on sliding door. I called the office number and left a message (after hours) and the owner called me back that evening. He came out the next day and gave me an estimate of the work. He said the glass would be ready to be installed in about a week. Sure enough, that's when they came out and installed the new glass. Fast, courteous and professional service at all stages.

Very courteous staff. All work complete on-time, efficiently and cost effectively. I will definitely use them again, and highly recommend them.

When the glass cracked in the window above our sliding glass door we actually thought we'd have to spend a large amount to replace the whole window. Luckily, the rep from American Screen and Glass said that they could easily just swap out the glass in the window rather than replacing it. The cost to replace the window would have been about $1000 (not including the cost for drywall repairs), so we were thrilled when we found out the job would cost $325. They could have easily just done what we asked for, but they were honest enough to tell us we didn't need to spend the money which I REALLY appreciated. If the time comes when we need to really replace something, I'd call them again because I know they would tell me what I really needed. The rep told us that the glass would take 7-10 days to arrive after we ordered it and it arrived right on time. After the glass arrived they were out two days later to install it. They have weekend hours which was really nice. The repairman arrived on time and worked really fast. The old glass shattered as he took it out but he made sure to clean all of it up for us. Overall we were really happy and would use their services again. I think the price was quite fair in comparison to the other two companies that we got estimates from.

Back in January of 2013 I noticed there was cold air coming in to one of my master bedroom windows. I called around to a few companies to look into repairing it, but there are very few companies that just do window repair. American Screen and Glass was recommended to me by a company that does Window replacements. I called them and they came out very quickly to look at the window. It turned out one of the little clips on the side that locks into place so the window doesn't tilt was broken. The guy who came out said he could replace it for $125, After a quick discussion with my wife the guy who had come out said he would do it for $100. We paid for the fix, which turned out all he did was pop out 2 clips and pop in 2 replacements. On his way out we asked if he could measure our front door since we were interested in getting a storm door. The next day we received a quote for a storm door for $787, there wasn't much detail other then it said, White Frame, Full View. No brand, model or anything listed. Finally after a few emails back and forth I was told it was an Anderson Storm door, of course that didn't really help much since Anderson makes like 3 models of Storm Doors from really low end to high end. We decided to not go with them for our Storm door due lack of information and the high price vs a bunch of other companies. Fast forward a few weeks we were checking our other windows for air-leaks (cold air getting in) and we noticed 2 windows in our computer room would not close correctly, 2 windows in our guest bedroom wouldn't open smoothly, 1 of the insect screen on a downstairs window was torn as well as the seals on a small transom window above a sliding glass door were failing. I called American Screen and Glass and had them come back out. First they looked at the bedroom windows and said that they couldn't be fixed and that they were surprised they were still attached to the house. They measured the windows for replacements, then looked at the issues with the other windows. A few days later I get a quote with the following: $850 for 2 single hung windows (no info on the brand/quality etc) $135 to fix the balances in the guest bedroom, $245 to replace the transom window and $59.95 to replace the broken screen. First I emailed to inquire why the screen was $59 after they told me it was $50, they apologized and fixed the price. While this was going on I was getting some quotes from window companies to replace the windows. Every company that came out said there is no way possible the windows were barely attached to the house like AS&S stated. After getting a bunch of quotes we decided to go with a different company for the windows because of price and "actual information about the window replacements", but we were willing to give AS&S part of our business (to do the transom and the balances), I emailed a few times to try to negotiate on the price (ie bring the transom glass price down to what other companies quoted me. Needless to say after about 2 emails they just stopped replying to me. So in the end we took our business elsewhere. If your willing to pay a lot for a quick fix go with them, if you look around your probably going to find a better deal though.

We had used American Screen and Glass about 18 month's ago and were satisfied with their work. We called them again when one of our windows did not close properly. They scheduled a time and arrived within that time frame. He very quickly found what the problem was and corrected it. Because he was only there for a very short time, he did not charge us. How could you not like that!

We contracted with American Screen and Glass to replace our sliding glass door and to repair one window that had condensation built up between the panes. The planning was easy. Their representative came and looked at the house and gave an estimate. We had a deal with them within a week--the cost was the most affordable of the three companies we consulted. The sliding door took a couple of weeks to manufacture and deliver (from North Carolina, if memory serves). Three technicians arrived on June 20th, 2011 and had the work completed within three hours. The door is high quality and slides easily. It's great that we no longer have such a draft in our family room. The repaired window has needed two more service calls--a minor irritation, but American was apologetic and didn't charge us any more. In the fall of 2011 the window spontaneously cracked after a cold night; they replaced it again. Then they came back a couple months later when I found I couldn't open the window -- caulk had leaked, apparently, and it sealed the sash shut. All is good now. "B" for quality, I suppose (or "B+").

American Screen and Glass was recommended by the property manager for my condo building as providing fair prices. An initial in-home estimate was performed to measure the window. The estimator, who had familiarity with my condo building, offered some tips/warnings since the windows in my sunroom are single pane and tend to sweat in the winter, which was greatly appreciated. The window glass was ordered and arrived approximately 2 weeks later. American Screen and Glass technicians came out to replace the window and all work was performed satisfactorily.

They came and pre-measured. They brought the glass on the next visit which they scheduled with us. They installed the glass. I saw them when they arrived in the morning. I returned 3 hours later and they were finished and gone. Job complete. Our reception area is where they were working and you could not tell it had been a work zone. Neat and organized.

They are good. My windows were fixed by them. They took out the existing glass that fogged up and went bad and replaced it. I couldn’t find any glass that matched with my window since its real old to replace. So they actually manufactured and matched my glass identically. I got a free estimate from him, they came out and checked out, but I forgot how much I spent. They are professional. I would recommend them to all my neighbors. The price was reasonable.

I didn't actually meet with them; it was all done by phone. It was a good price and they were very responsive. Considering the whole thing was done at arm's length by phone, it was very good.

Job went smooth. Fred gave us an estimate, then he came out to do a final measurement once the old shower enclosure had been removed. A couple of weeks later the crew returned to install it. the finished product was beautiful.

Everything was great, from the estimate to the completion of the job. The workers were professional and did a great job.
