Fantastic! I talked to the owner (Shaun) on a wednesday or thursday. He was great at working with my schedule and was able to come out to the house the following monday (this wasn't an emergency). Shaun brought along an employee and the two of them were extremely courteous and helpful. They took a look at the problem (an outlet in my garage that had worked with a refrigerator plugged in but suddenly started tripping the GFCI breaker in the outlet in the adjoining bathroom). Within a few minutes, they had survey the entire circuit and found the problem(s) - the GFCI outlets were not wired properly and one outlet had a loose wire that had likely shorted out the circuit. The rewired the GFCI outlets and replaced the bad outlet - all within less that 20 minutes. Shaun then said "you're paying for a full hour of labor so what else can we fix while we're here." I thought that was great in that I've paid other repair folks for an hour when they've only worked for ten minutes. I mentioned that the outdoor outlet didn't work and he took a look and determined that it probably went bad when the previous problem occurred. He recommended replacing the outlet with a GFCI outlet and outdoor cover but he didn't have all the parts with him so he agreed to come back and do that job. He suggested but didn't push/oversell the idea of a whole house surge surpressor. I was pleased that he was soft selling that and didn't try to play that sale too hard. Simply put, I was extremely pleased with the professionalism, courtesy and responsiveness of Shaun and his company.

Excellent work, worked with me over the phone, prompt and extremely polite and knows his craft very well. I am no electrician but he got me to understand it. I would recommend his company every time.

Shaun returned my initial scheduling call within a few minutes. On the scheduled work day, Tim arrived a few minutes early (much appreciated). He made quick work of all light fixture installations. He finished within the two hour block arrival time. Very happy with all the work.

Super excellent (except the repair person came 15 mins early which may be a good thing for most people) Knew exactly what to do and was quick in completing the tasks. Recess lights just had the wrong type of bulbs and he explained to me that i needed to replace the bulbs and showed me a working bulb in one of the lights. Very professional. Here is the best part - Every time I speak to Shawn, I get a comfort feeling that there is someone out there who is available for help and has the right business model - that is not a rip off for customers. June 22, 2011: In response to my emergency call to fix the electrical circuit in my family room Absolute technicians not only located and repaired the circuit but also provided me with the information I needed to restore power to wall plugs in my garage and on my outside deck. Repair was accomplished quickly and the price was great for the service rendered. Thanks Absolute.

They came on schedule, worked efficiently, and finished ahead of schedule. The job was on budget and the price was very good. The work was well done. The electricians were pleasant and professional. Owner and staff were a pleasure to deal with. The only negative was that more wall board dust was left than I expected.

We called Absolute Electric in response to the many positive reports already on Angie's List--they did not disappoint. We wanted to get our job done promptly so we could have further work done in the garage; they were able to send out an electrician within a few days. The options for getting our job done were clearly and thoroughly presented, so we were able to choose the way we thought would best serve our situation. The electrician, Tim, completed the job in less time and for less money than we were told to expect--he did a great job. We are very pleased with Tim and with Absolute Electric.

The service provided by Absolute Electric was top notch from start to finish. The owner, Shawn, was extremely punctual, professional and fair. He gave us a clear and fair-priced estimate and clarified any questions we had on the work we were requesting, and on his employees. He claimed that he hired and kept his own workers (rather than seeking out subcontractors routinely), which proved absolutely true. His men arrived right on time with a clear understanding of what had to be done. They started work right away and knew exactly what they were doing. They checked with me anytime they had to make a major decision about wiring (to make sure it met with my approval), and cleaned up after themselves very well. It was a great experience and we will definitely seek to use Absolute Electric again anytime we require electricians.

I called them because I had flickering lights. They came out the same day and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The source of the problem was a loose wire in the electrical panel. In addition to fixing the loose wire that was causing the immediate problem he checked all the other wires in the electrical panel and tightened other loose wires.

I e-mailed the company on a Sat evening and Shauwn replied right away. He was able to schedule me for today. Tim, the service man, was friendly and professional which I appreciated very much. I will definitely be using them again.

Things went very well. I called on Monday morning and Shauwn said someone would be there Tuesday morning. Ken came out and spent an hour and a half trouble shooting and then rewiring two switches. Now both the post light and the garage light work. This could have been a bucket of worms situation, but was handled very quickly and professionally with a minimum charge. I trust these people and would definitely recommend and use again

When we began searching for an electrician to install the chandelier we had just ordered things didn't sound very promising. We contacted two well established electrical firms that had been recommended by the store where we purchased the chandelier. Their quotes were in the $425 - 450 price range which we felt was somewhat high but since they were close we figured was fair. However, the thing that disturbed us was that both placed said they would probable do considerable damage to the dry wall in both the wall and ceiling and that they did not repair any damage done. One company said that they would bring in a dry wall handyman to patch things up for about $300 additional to the $425 they quoted for the job. At this point we stated to do some web searching with little success, but fortunately we remembered seeing an TV ad about Angie's List. We visited the site and decided to join. After joining we searched for electrical contractors in our area and came across Absolute Electric LLC. What struck us first was all the ratings were great and there were a lot of them. We read almost everyone to make sure the was not a lot of Spammers putting write-ups in. The thing that impressed us was a consistent reference to the owner Shauwn Collins being personally involved in talking to prospective customers and getting back to them quickly. The other big factor was comments on the quality of work and the fact that the electricians made every attempt to do as little damage as possible. We called Shauwn on a Friday afternoon and got his voice mail and left him a message. He returned the call within 10 minutes and after explaining the job in detail he quoted us $350 and said he couldn't get to it that day or Saturday because his crews were booked but said he could do it Monday at midday. We explained our concerns over wall damage and he assured us that the crew would make every effort to minimize any damage and that he could recommend someone to do repairs. We scheduled the work and then he asked how we happened to call his company. When we said we found him through Angie's List he said he would give us a discount and the job would only cost $325. On Monday the 2 man crew came on time and since if was a rainy day they put on booties over their work shoes so as not to tack in anything on the floors. The covered the entire floor in the work area with a tarp. Upon inspecting the scope of the job they told us exactly what they planned to do and that they should be able to keep the number of holes in the wall and ceiling down to a minimum. They also said they would replace the drywall pieces they cut out so the repair work would be minimal. The job was not easy and it took the better part of 3.5 hours to complete, but they were true to there word and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. The new receptacle was placed exactly were we wanted it and tested out to make sure the connection was correct. When they cut out patches in the wall and ceiling they were careful to do it in one piece and when they were done these pieces were put back exactly like a professional drywall worker would do it with wood bracing and drywall screws. They installed a dimmer switch we had purchased and discovered it was faulty so they showed us how to install a new one when we exchanged the bad one. Everything was cleaned up before they left. We have worked with a number of electricians over the years and this crew was the best. They also gave us the name and phone number to call of someone to do the dry wall repair, who they had worked with many times. We are extremely happy with the work performed by Absolute Electric and professionalism of everyone we dealt with. This is a first rate company and we would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who is in need of electrical work at their home.

I looked for electricians on Angie's list, read the reviews on Absolute, and called them first. Everything was pleasant, with calls returned or answered promptly, scheduling at my convenience. Sean gave me an idea of what we were looking at over the phone, likely charges we would face, and the discounts he could offer. He made no promises without an inspection first, but was clearly willing to work with us. His electrician John came and handled the first problem in short order and for a reasonable rate. Unfortunately, John's solution wasn't perfect, and the GFI still had a problem. They returned to handle that issue while putting the refrigerator on its own circuit. That work went equally smooth with Tim and Drew arriving together and completing that job in short order. Tim took the time to go over the bill with me explaining in detail the parts, how they were installled, the labor costs etc., All the work went smoothly. The people at Absolute were personable and professional. They showed up on time, worked without fuss; got the work done and restored the home as best they could after the work was done. Everyone on their team we met--John, Tim, and Drew--seemed to get the message coming down from the top--professional courteous service. The work has been solid so far and we will likely have them do some additional jobs to get our house's electrical system in order. I highly recommend these guys.

They arrived promptly the morning of the install and worked straight through until they were done, then they cleaned everything up, threw out the boxes and vacumed up each of the rooms before they left. Then took the time to explain the installation to me and how everything worked. Everything went a just like we were told it would and as stated by previous reviewers, there were no hidden costs, everything was explained to us up front. We are very happy with our new ceiling fans and will certainly be calling Absolute Electric for our future projects.

Shawn and his team are very professional. Shawn has strong credibility and stands behind his company's work. As an example, During the 3-day job we had power at the end of each day which was appreciated. But at the end of the 2nd day the team left and we discovered the air conditioner would not turn on. We contacted Shawn at 7:00 pm. Without objection, he raced over within 30 minutes, trouble shot the problem and discovered the master air conditioner switch had been accidentally turned off - an easily occurring event when toiling near the unit. A simple flip of the switch and problem easily resolved. He was good natured about the event and we appreciated his responsiveness and dedication.

I had a GFI problem with an outlet in my house and tried to fix it myself but it kept on re-setting.In desperation I called Shauwn on a Sunday and he returned my phone call within....3 minutes.I talked to him about my problem and he asked a couple of questions and diagnosed it first time, spot on. I was able to resolve the issue easily and get all the outlets working again - I will have them come out and fix the bigger issue.The bottom line - Shauwn could have had someone come out and bill me for diagnosing the problem - but instead helped me resolve it and get the power working so he could focus on the problem issue when its more convenient for him to come out.I can't tell you how much I appreciate this - Absolute has a customer for life.
