Absolute Electric LLC

Needed a few small things done at our home before going on the market. Absolute was there quickly and solved all the problems in two visits ... at an exceptional cost!

Only real problem was a miss-communication about the counter top installation and hence code requirements. Also they used the wrong address on the permit -- but that was straightened out quickly.

The person answering the phone was very polite and helpful. There was good availability for appointments. The electrician was on time and performed the job exactly as asked. He was at my house for almost 4 hours but was still willing to take the time to look at one of our smoke detectors that was not working properly.

Alton was not only extremely professional and knowledgeable, he went the extra mile, bringing an element of customer service and satisfaction that is increasingly rare in this business. Alton walked me through every step on the job and I felt very comfortable working with him. Alton arrived on time and finished before the time he estimated. Him and his associate cleaned up after themselves and I hardly knew they were around. I would not hesitate to allow Alton and Absolute Electric work on my house on any related job. A+++.

I had been avoiding having the outlet issues corrected literally for years because I thought it was going to be super expensive to have them fixed and hard to find an honest and fairly priced electrician. But I feel like I really lucked out with Absolute Electric--the gentleman I spoke to to set up the appointment was very courteous and helpful. The electrician (Tim) was prompt, polite, professional and very skilled. the whole appointment was very affordable and I've already scheduled another appointment to have them do some other, separate projects for me. May sound silly but I am so excited to finally have electricians that I can count on to be competent, professional and honest. Thank you!

The electrician was professional, on-time and explained (in non-technical terms) what he was doing. Electrician provided courtesy calls alerting when he was on the way to our residence. Absolute Electric LLC coordinated with and scheduled for the Looudoun County Electrical Inspector to approve the final installation. I paid a quite a bit of money for this project, but I feel that I got what I paid for. I will call on Absolute to perform any additional electrical work that I might have in the future.

Great service...very professional. The technician was an hour late but with service like this I can understand unexpected delays from previous calls. It was worth the wait as the electrician was professional and very neat.

We had actually scheduled the work for the next day, so there was a surprise when the electrician showed up a day early. Since my husband and I are both home during the day, it worked out, but it would have been a problem for clients who work outside the home. The problem was with the scheduler in the office, not the electrician. The electrician tried to contact us prior to arriving to let us know he was on the way. However, we didn't answer the phone--our fault. The work took several hours. Everything was completed to our satisfaction. He was very knowledgeable and did excellent work. He was careful to cover furniture and cleaned up all boxes and debris, even taking the old fan and empty boxes with him. On the heavy-up, he explained the benefits of getting a new panel and mentioned that our existing panel is not grounded according to current code. He presented the facts and did not seem to be trying to sell us on having the work done, but we were convinced that it would be a good idea. We will get a closer estimate when he shares his notes with the person who handles estimates. We would definitely use Absolute Electric in the future.

Amazing service and professionalism with this company! I called because for no reason (no storm etc.) all of a sudden parts of my house had power, and the other parts with AC, oven, fridge (all the heavy power draws) had no power. There was no rhyme or reason as to why some outlets were working and others not so I did not think about calling my power company first. I thought it was a wire or grounding problem in fuse box. I found Absolute Electric on Angie's List and called the number immediately. My first contact was Darlene in the office who was very kind in getting me on the schedule quickly. Rob came out to my house in less than an hour and was able to tell the problem was with my power company. One of the 2 heavy cable feeds that go to the fuse box was not delivering power, hence no big appliances working in my home. This took only 10 minutes to ascertain, yet he and another worker stayed to replace my 3 outside front house fixtures to make the $117.00 service call work to my advantage. I will definitely use them again.

Shauwn (the owner) responded quickly to my online request for a quote, and showed up on time for the free estimate. He was honest and straightforward about his estimation and work processes and his pricing, and quickly dispelled any hopes about the "whole house" capabilities of the mid-range Generac generators (which have problems powering A/C outdoor units, especially large ones like my Carrier Infinity 21 system). He made it clear that if I was serious about installing the generator then the EZ-Switch sub-panel would provide the space I needed to install more circuits (my main panel had only one breaker position free) and that I would have plenty of breaker positions open in the main panel when the work was done. We quickly agreed on the price (including Angie's List discount) and scope of the work. The work (which took several days, and was interrupted to wait for HOA approval of the generator installation) started two weeks later. Matt the electrician and his helpers were always prompt, courteous, meticulous and neat, and the work was completed entirely to my satisfaction (including "talking down" a confused county inspector who did not understand the generator installation). The generator and attic fan are operational and my Chevy Volt has been using the dedicated 240VAC 30A charger circuit since the day it was installed.

I was very impressed with the services and quality of work performed by Absolute Electric LLC. The electrician, Rob, was very professional and respectful, as well. I had attempted to install three ceiling fans with my father a week ago, but we ran into issues with installing two of the three fans. Rob successfully troubleshooted and completed the installation for the two fans, and even installed a dimmer switch for the blades and light for the third ceiling fan. Additionally, Rob did an outstanding job rewiring two electrical outlets at our request. I would recommend Absolute Electric LLC to any family/business requiring electrical work. Rest assured, you will most certainly receive the highest quality service!

We are very happy with the end result of the lighting and fan installation. The electrician, Keenan, was helpful and knowledgeble about where to place new lights and fan. He cleaned everything up after and left the room very clean. The job took 6 hours, which was much longer than I had anticipated. I thought it would be a 2 hour job based on my conversation with the owner when I made the appointment. But Keenan explained it would take longer once he looked at the room because of the work required in placing the new lights, running new lines, etc. The owner of Absolute Electric, Shawn, was very helpful and knowledgeable when I set up the appointment. I would use this company again for future electrical work that we will need.

Shauwn and Absolute took on a difficult job. in that while my elderly friend does want to stay in her house, and it does have power outages that are traumatic for her, she was reticent to make the investment and to have alterations done on her house. Shauwn worked with me to come up with the highest quality plan at a reasonable price. Complicating the overall plan was an unexpected delay in factory delivery of the generator, and at the same time my elderly friend struggling with a painful illness. With all that, Shauwn was not just the utmost professional in his planning the work, but a consummate gentleman in patiently working my elderly friend, explaining the process. Shauwn and his team understood the need for minimizing the visual impact of their work and, while piping had to be run through the lower level ceiling, at the end of the job you would never have known that any changes had been made to that part of the house. As noted, the existing electrical was not really up to code and Absolute addressed this in a careful and cost-effective fashion. The recent storm caused so many homes to lose power, but my friend’s house didn’t (because of the generator). Finally, Shauwn personally answered a call from my friend to investigate a question she had with her system. I recommend Shauwn's work whole-heartedly.

Absolute Electrical contractor determined how/why the circuit blew, replaced the outlet(s) involved and all was repaired in a very timely fashion. They were highly professional, did a wonderful job, restored my faith in electricians and made my Fourth of July holiday an enjoyable event.

Based on an article which appeared in January 2012 edition of the Angie's List magazine, I called Shawn Collins of Absolute Electric, Sterling, VA to request an estimate for the installation of undercabinet lighting for my kitchen. Shawn was able to come within a few days. Shawn explained how his technicians would go about installing the lighting and was able to break down the estimate so that I could decide whether to light both sections of my kitchen, or just my "work" area. He explained which kiind of lighting he would use and why he chose that brand. At the same time, I also asked for an estimate for installing two new duplex outlets in two other areas of our home. My calendar got filled with part time work and other family commitments and I procrastinated in getting back to Shawn in a timely manner, Fortunately, his office assistant, Darlene, called to follow-up. At that point I decided to have the lighting installed in only the "work" area of the kitchen. Darlene scheduled the appointment and the work was done by two very nice electricians who work for Shawn, Alton and Jason (?). They arrived right on time and completed all of their work within a few hours. They were great about answering my questions as they went along and explaining how the lighting would operate. ( While they were there I decided to have them add a dimmer switch so that i could control the intensity of the lighting. They were able to do that, but needed to return with the proper switch plate cover at a later time. ) After they finished the kitchen project, they installed two new outlets elsewhere in the home. I am so very pleased with the new lighting and with the workmanship of this fine company! The granite is so nicely enhanced and I can finally see what I'm doing in the kitchen! When Alton returned with the switchplate a few days later, I asked him to check to see if it would be possible to convert 3 to 4 existing duplex outlets to quad outlets in my husband's home office and in our master bedroom. I called Shawn the owner after that to request a quote and to schedule a time for his electricians to do this next project. That work was completed on 7-10-12. The cost of this second project is not included in the above referenced amount. There is no question that I will call on Absolute Electric for any future electrical needs. I recommend this company to others without hesitation!

After calling CET (Certified Electrical Technicians) who were somewhat rude on the phone, I called Absolute Electric and spoke with Cole on the phone. How refreshing it was to talk to him - his customer service attitude, attention to detail, and professionalism won me over immediately. I wanted 7 recessed lamps (directional with eyeball), a flat screen tv hookup, assessment of two outlets that did not work in the kitchen, assessment of a light I placed on my fan that never worked. I scheduled on July 3. He gave me an estimated arrival time b/w 7-9 a.m. Joseph arrived at 9 a.m. He patiently mapped out exactly where I wanted each lamp, using blue circular stickers so I could visualize them before he cut holes into my ceiling. He also asked me for exact placement of the LCD tv. I am very particular so I was relieved he was allowing me to obsess. He then diagnosed the problem with my kitchen outlets - something a prior electrician told me I would possibly need to cut holes in the kitchen walls to diagnose. Joseph knew immediately what the problem was, and even though I was skeptical initially, it fixed the problem right away. The fan light problem was also diagnosed quickly - there was no light wiring to the switch plate (the prior owners of the house must have purchased the switch plate which happened to have a light switch that they were not intending to use). I was very happy with the work that was done. The only kinks I encountered: 1) Cole underestimated the time it would take to finish the project - I had an appointment at 3:30 p.m. so had family come to take my place and Joseph finally finished at around 6p.m. 2) My Angie's List discount was not applied to the final bill - but when I called, they apologized and are in the process of sending a check to refund me. I would definitely recommend Absolute Electric. Thank you, Cole and Joseph for your help, courtesy and professionalism!

Wonderful service...Rob was a very nice and knowledgeable young man; he was willing to stay and get everything completed (I added a few things after we got into the work), even though his young daughter was just getting home from a visit to grandma's.I highly recommend them....have already done so to a family member.

I chose Absolute Electric LLC based on the exceptional reviews in Angie's List ... and I am very happy I did. Shauwn was very helpful in discussing the work we needed done, pricing, and promptly scheduling based on our availability. I even left him a voicemail with one change that was incorporated. Keenan and Joe arrived promptly - they were both professional and friendly with an obvious commitment to customer satisfaction. They were detail-oriented in the work they did, in the care they took to not cause any damage, and in cleaning up. I mention not causing any damage, because we live in a three-level townhouse that we had just had repainted. Obviously it would have been better to have the electrical work done first, but that's not what we did. I was particularly worried about getting the large ladder up the stairway to install the "high foyer" chandelier at the top of the stairwell. No problem. They also carefully planned how to install and wire the new light - leaving no evidence that it was a new installation. They were precise in all aspects of their work and it turned out great.

I needed an electrical line run to accommodate a new over the range hood fan. I had never utilized Absolute Electric before. I called to get an estimate and found that the service could be provided quickly, easily and painlessly (to my pocket!)Not only did the electrician run the line, but he installed the hood as well. All in an hour!! Same day service. Terrific installation. Great pricing. Professional. Can't ask for more than that.I will definitely be a repeat customer at Absolute Electric LLC for our electrical needs!

We had a great experience with Absolute. They were very prompt and professional.

Our old attic fan was broken. We called to have a new one put in. The person taking our call was friendly and professional. He was able to quote a price on the phone, and gave us options for type/color. It took a few days before the installer could come out, but that wasn't a problem because it was urgent. The installer was also very professional and polite. Given the steepness of the roof, it took a bit longer than we expected, but we'd rather have it done right. The price we were charged ended up being a bit higher than the price we were quoted (because of the extra time it took given the roof's angle), but not by much. We'd go with this company again.

Shauwn was on top of things in our emails leading up to the service, which I appreciated. He sent two electricians to the house, who did the job well and were responsive to my questions and concerns. Our lights look great and we've had no problem. They were unable to replace one light switch because they didn't have the correct one, but I was given specific instructions on what to get and how to replace it myself (I've done some of this work before, so I indicated that I was comfortable doing it). I did have one follow-up question on this switch and am still waiting to hear back (actually, it's been a while, so I'm not really waiting - will probably just ask about it when I have them do some more work). I think they're a good service with reasonable prices and we would recommend them.

The workers were very professional and They installed 2 ceiling fans. They assembled the fans out of the box. This included light kits. They did an exception job

It was much appreciated that the technician came in, found a loose neutral wire behind the circuit breaker box, and repaired the problem within 20 minutes of arrival. He did not drag out the diagnosis to charge an additional hour. He also helped investigate some popping noises coming from my recessed lights and provided estimates for potential future work. Good experience all around.

Best experience I've ever had with a contractor in this area. Couldn't be happier with the service and treatment. Highly recommend them. Will absolutely use them again on my next project.
