Absolute Electric LLC

They were very nice and seemed to have good experience, but made quite a mess in the ceiling when installing the fan. I had to have someone come out and do patchwork. This is probably not their fault, as they had to deal with an old fixture and replacing the hardware in the ceiling, but it was definitely more time-consuming and messy than expected. Overall, I thought they were knowledgeable and very nice, and got the job done.

Very well. As standard as guys who install these fans they leave the wall repair to the home owner which is not a lot of fun. Itd be nice to have a company that actually installs and repairs. I knew going in they weren't going to do that but I find it a little bit annoying.

My high voltage smoke alarms are about 12 years old and several failed at once. Alarms blaring. Crazy. I called Absolute Electric after finding them highly rated on Angie's List and nearby. A technician, Claudio, was here within an hour and he replaced all the smoke alarms. Great guy. Worked quickly and was very professional. I really appreciate their willingness to rearrange their tech's schedule and jump on this very loud project! Really appreciate the gentleman who answer the phone and who worked diligently to find an available technician to address our issue asap. We will use their services again for our electrical projects.

The whole process went very well. Tim arrived at the time arranged. We were pleased with his problem solving abilities and the work was carried out in a timely manner. The price reflects the labor and parts, and we received the 'Angie's list' discount.

Called first thing in the morning and amazingly got an appointment for this same morning! The electrician was here within an hour of my call, and he was sure to call before coming to let me know he was on his way. Took about 30ish minutes to complete! I had gotten an estimate and breakdown of cost over the phone and so the bill was exactly as expected, no hidden or unexpected cost.

Claudio (the electrician) was wonderful to work with. He told me exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it by showing me where he was going to run the line. He patiently answered every question I had on the process. The customer service from Absolute Electric was outstanding and I don't think that I have ever worked with a company before that acted like I was their only customer. It was a real pleasure working with Absolute and I plan on using them again.

The person I've always spoken to on the phone is extremely pleasant and even remembers who I am. They are very accommodating and she goes out of her way to find me a solution to fix my electrical issues. The electrician was great. My husband damaged a wire in the wall when putting up a mirror and the electrician was able to fix it in a way that we could still use the same whole to put up the mirror and the mirror would hide his work to fix the wiring. The added outlet was a no brainier. He did both in about an hour. He returned with another electrician to install the ceiling fan at a 22' ceiling. They were fast and pretty clean about it. Would DEFINITELY use them again for any electrical needs. They do honor the Angie's list discount.

I was having some failures with small appliances, and needed to know if there was something wrong with the house circuitry. When I checked around my house and saw how many extension cords, surge protectors, etc. that I had things plugged into, I was concerned that I was risking a fire hazard, or damage to our equipment. An electrician named Tim came and listened to my concerns, toured the house with me to look at everything that was plugged in, and suggested replacing 1 GFI in a bathroom that we had removed earlier because it was defective. He found nothing else that concerned him, and explained why. He talked to me about getting a whole house surge protector, which I thought was a good idea so I asked him to install it. He charged me for 1 hour of labor ($117), but he probably was here longer than that. Update: we were still having some circuits tripping the GFI in the bathroom, which also tripped the plug in the garage, so we called Absolute Electric back on 06/12/14. Tim discovered the plug and plug box on the deck were leaking and full of dirt. He replaced them with better equipment and added a GFI, plus added another GFI to the plug in the garage. Additional charges were $237. I think this was fair, because the failures had been happening weeks apart, and we could better diagnose the additional problem after he replaced the first GFI. Everything seems fine now.

Shauwn is very responsive and professional. Prices are fair. Everything is working well. The only negative is that Shauwn does the estimates but he was not here to do the work; he sent younger employees. This led to one problem: they ran a ground wire outside along my back exterior wall (bright green line about 2 feet above ground, along brick, siding, etc) that was an eyesore, which we had not discussed would be done. We were upset by this ugly improvisation by his workers. The good news is Shawn was 100% committed to fixing this and did so, with a solution that we both agreed to. I think one of the problems was that bc he is based in VA, it was not easy for him to get to MD where I live bc of traffice, and this led to less supervsion than I would have liked. Having said that he was very committed to doing the best job possible. And in the end, everything turned out fine. I might go with someone more nearby next time but if Shawn were in town, I'd use him again.

The circuit breaker problem was a challenge for them to find parts for an old system, but they went above and beyond to locate the parts needed to make the repair. They've always been punctual and work efficiently and clean up after themselves. An overall quality service.

Shauwn explained things well to me. I understood how to choose what to backup. It took some thinking and effort on my part, but I was comfortable with process. When generator was available it was installed, and I was shown how to use. The entire process was stratightforward and installers were professional and seemed efficient. I felt great having it done. I have not had reason to use the backup generator yet, but I am ok with that.

The original call to Darlene was handled professionally and she checked with a superior before giving a price quote for the service we requested. An appointment was made as per our request for two days later. As promised, the electrician called ahead of time and was at the house earlier than expected. He made the repairs promptly even though the weather was not the best, with snow still on the ground and deck. The lights are quite high on the house and required an extension ladder. No problem for Tim. When all work was completed he provided a cost estimate for future work we need and gave recommendations on fixture purchases that would be cost-effective for us. We will definitely use Absolute Electric in the future and would make referrals based on the experience.

I was extremely happy with Absolute Electric. One of my smoke alarms started chirping as I was getting ready for work, and as it turns out, one alarm was broken and the others were alerting me to that (which Absolute helped me to diagnose). Clearly it was an urgent issue, and Absolute was able to come out the same day - we made an appointment, and they were able to get there even earlier. From the first contact through the repair, they were extremely professional and they all clearly cared about solving the problem for me ASAP, with my safety in mind. Carlo, the service technician, was very nice, and *extremely* careful and safe with the large ladders that were required to reach my alarms (very respectful of my property and he made sure not to cause damage to anything). He was also dilligent in making sure he was done as quickly as possible to minimize the cost to me, and he obviously knew what he was doing. They helped me solve the root cause of the problem, and I did not feel overcharged, or that I was sold something I didn't need. I will definitely use absolute again!

Cole on the phone explained in detail the type of alarms and the install process. He also gave me an accurate price quote for the purchase of the three alarms and installation. Juan the installer arrived on schedule and did an excellent job installing the alarms. He also spent time explaining how the alarms worked and did a thorough test of each one. I would use this excellent company again and highly recommend this company to my friends.

I explained everything above, but Absolute Electric was called to look at a simple electrical problem and at the end of the day they did not correct the problem and walked out the door selling my wife a whole house surge protector for an additional $400 on top of the $148 charged for not correcting the original problem. I later called L.V. Electric, LLC, another Angie's List provider and Vincent Prisciandaro the President of the company came out to our house and immediately was able to correct the problem. It seems all Absolute Electric had to do was change the outlet itself and they identified that the cut of switch / surge protector for that outlet was in the bathroom located in the basement NOT outside like Absolute Electric claimed. Also, Vincent with L.V. Electric plastered and corrected the whole in the wall that Absolute Electric left behind at no cost to me. L.V. Electric is truly a professional company who does not mind fixing the mess left behind by other Angie's List providers like Absolute Electric!!! I hope they're happy with the additional $400 they made by selling my wife the whole house surge protector, cutting a whole in our wall, and not covering it up nor plastering over it, etc. etc. I will never use Absolute Electric again, because it only took L.V. Electric, LLC, 5 minutes to identify the problem and correct the outlet we originally called Absolute Electric to fix!!!

We recently bought a new stove and the cord did not match the outlet we already had. I spoke with one of the managers over the phone describing the situation and he was very helpful and told me that the cord on the stove could be swapped out and gave me a rough estimate on the spot. So I proceeded and scheduled the work. While, the work was completed timely and correctly I would not hire them again. The tech who came out was late due to a previous appointment, but the office staff didn't call let me know. I only found out when I finally called them 30 minutes after he was supposed to be at my home. When the tech got there he pushed back on what I was trying to accomplish, I needed the outlet lowered in the wall and the cord swapped. He told me the outlet would cost extra (again a disconnect between the office and the technicians). I agreed and the work proceeded only after his reluctance to do it at all even though I would pay for the work. Had the outlet not been moved we would not have been able to slide the stove all the way into place properly. Finally I put my foot down, and directed him to move it. At the end of the day the work was completed and for relatively cheap even with the added cost of the outlet. It also turned out we had the proper wiring so the outlet cover was replaced, not the cord on the stove. The best thing about these guys are the price, I will not be hiring them in the future.

The job went very well. Everything was done in a timely manner. The new outlets involved fishing wire through walls and ceiling with a minimum of holes in sheetrock. They also cleaned up every day.

The work was quick and the results fantastic. I appreciated that the electrician asked questions when necessary but otherwise worked efficiently and quietly. My only minor complaint was that the work was scheduled to begin between 9 and 11 but because a previous job ran over it did not begin until nearly 2:30. However, the company did call and warn me about this and the electrician also called to let me know when he was on his way. Aside from the small inconvenience of the work running later into the evening than I had planned, I am very satisfied with the work.

They were really good. They were professional and did a great job. They had to rip out some walls and were considerate on where to do that. They cleaned up after themselves. I was happy with their work.

They were really pleasant to work with. The people that run the office couldn't be nicer. I called with lots of questions and they quoted me several different options. I called to postpone the job a day and ask if we could change the scope. Again, they were great and talked me through the options and costs. The workers arrived on time and were very professional. They worked quickly and the fan was up within an hour. They went to work in the office and had to cut a hole in the ceiling to get the lines to the new junction box. They disclosed up front that they would not do any patching. This was a surprise to me, but I have heard from others that this is fairly common. Not a complaint- just a comment. The light looks great and they vacuumed up all the drywall dust before leaving. I was really pleased with the company and the quality of work. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends!

They were great. The doorbell had caught on fire before. Instead of just replacing it, he took off all of the parts connected with the doorbell to make sure I wouldn't have a problem again. I was impressed with that. He cleaned up everything and the price was reasonable.

I called Absolute Electric to schedule an hour's worth of work for some minor repairs. After getting their rates and availability, I called around to other places for other options. Compared to other companies, the Absolute Electric scheduler was the best informed on availability, the angie's list deal, and the like, and the cost was competitive. I called back to schedule a visit and in the intervening 30 minutes, the scheduler had discussed my problem with one of the electricians. He had suggested that my light switches might be controlling half of my outlets. I tried it out with them on the phone and it worked! No electrician needed after all! Much appreciated, and I'll certainly use them again for any future work.

Richard and Kyle showed up on time and got right to work. They had my new light fixture up in an hour and did an excellent job. They were very professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We will not hesitate to call them for future jobs.

From the initial call to service completion, this was a wonderful experience. Darlene was kind, courteous and knowledgeable. The technician, Robert, was on time and kept his word of calling me to let me know he was on the way. Robert figured out why 2 outlets and a bathroom light stopped working suddenly. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone and will be calling only them for my electrical needs
