I recently purchased an electric stove, which will be a replacement from my current gas oven. Since I am converting from gas to electric, I need to find an electrician...fast....as the delivery of my new stove was scheduled for 3 days later. Absolute Electric quoted me $660 time and materials, and explained that drywall in my home would likely have to be cut to complete the conversion. They were able to schedule me for the next morning, and were here on time. The electricians (Juan and Jason) were professional, courteous, and took the time to fully examine the circumstances prior to starting the job, and explained to me (in layman's terms) what needed to be done. The complete job took about 2.5 hours. There were a few holes in my ceiling and walls, but again, it was expected. However, to my surprise, they closed up the holes with drywall so it doesn't look bad at all. All that's needed is to patch it up and paint...a blessing for sure! In the job was lest than quoted: $549. I am VERY pleased with Absolute Electric and would absolutely use them again! :-)

Time from Absolute Electric called prior to arriving on time at 0700 in the am. After a quick assessment of the situation he quickly identified a solution and fixed the problem in the basement. He then proceeded to the outside where he removed the fixture and all associated cabling inside and out. Tim was an absolute pro, friendly, in and out without issue. Setting up the cal itself was easy and the staff was friendly over the phone, fully explaining the process. I strongly recommend Tim and Absolute electric.

I had shaft lights in my basement. I thought they would suggest changing them and putting a hard wired shaft light. I went and bought these shaft lights. They told me what kind of fluorescent light volts to buy and when I got here, the workers told me that they were the wrong kind. It was not true, they were the right kind as it said on the box and I wasn't smart enough at that point.

The work was very professional and both employees that were onsite were very helpful and answered all our questions. They were very responsive when I called a couple of weeks later with a concern.

We initially called to ask for a replacement for our faulty smoke detector, and to inquire about an attic fan. As luck would have it, they were having a special on the attic fan. Delores, who took our call, was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions, outlined the process and set up the service call. In a word, she was fantanstic! We also spoke to the owner, who went over specifics and the mechanics of the project. Our technician, Robert, arrived on time and was courteous and professional. Before he began work, he explained all details of the project and answered any questions we had. He worked efficiently, and kept us apprised of his progress. When he was finished, he made sure the work areas were cleaned up, and everything was put back to its original state. He also showed us the attic area....the new fan, the switch and the light....and allowed us to check each item, to ensure it was operable, and within easy access. We were very pleased with both his work and his professional, friendly approach. We would gladly request him for another project!

Dennis came out and did all the work efficiently. I had to step out so I left the door unlocked for him so he could get to work right away. This is the second time he has done work from me and it's been great both times. He's been on time or early both times. I would definitely use them again.

We contracted for the replacement of our attic fan using an Angie's List Super Deal. We were contacted almost immediately after making the deal purchase. An appointment was made for the same week. The electrician arrived on time. He removed the old attic fan, installed the new fan (which was included in the deal) and made repairs to the roofing. He also installed an on/off switch we did not have in place (when the old fan started screeching, we had to cut the power to a portion of the house). The technician was kind enough to explain everything in great detail to my husband. All around a great experience and we feel we have found a new electrician for future projects!

Can't say enough about Absolute Electric or their installation technician, Juan. Although we had to reschedule because of a family emergency, the person I spoke to on the phone couldn't have been more pleasant or cooperative. A detailed explanation of the entire process and what was included was provided in advance including a choice in color to match our roof. Juan called in advance to let us know he was on his way and arrived precisely on time. He couldn't have been more professional, courteous or responsive to our questions. The entire A+ quality job was completed in less than 1.5 hours start to finish. We couldn't be more pleased, plan to use Absolute again in the future and highly recommend them. We also highly recommend that you ask for Juan, if he is available.

One of the on/off switches for my kitchen lights had literally worn out. It wouldn't stay in the up (on) position. At night I could see it arcing and sparking. After looking at the site reviews, I chose Absolute Electric. As advertised, they were courteous, prompt and professional. I got an appointment on two days notice. The tech (Juan Merida) called me an hour before he arrived, then showed up on time. He had the switch replaced in a very short time. He apologized for billing me for an hour of work. I told him no sweat. His dispatcher told me the company's billing practice when I set the appointment. A simple job well done. Highly recommended.

Tim arrived early in the window of time provided by the company. He quickly determined the extent of work to be done and completed the replacement of 5 regular outlets with new GFCI outlets in a thoroughly professional and efficient manner. It took him less than an hour and he charged the minimum amount for his services. He did an outstanding job

The window we got was 9-11. We got a call at 9 saying that they were on the way. They arrived a little before 10. They looked at the situation and figured out the least messy way to reroute the wiring. They left plenty of slack so that the window installers can remove the windows and replace them with French doors. They cleaned everything up and put the drywall back in place until we can get it patched. They left around 11:15. I was very pleased with the service. The two men were very responsive to our concerns.

I found this company on Angie's llist and they were able to come out to our home the following week. The technician fixed our circuit issues as well as sold us surge protectors. He also moved the sensor on our automatic outdoor lighting so that it wasn't on all day (it had been in the shade). The technician was knowledgable and patient and we feel confident in the service provided.

Overall it went well. They made expectations clear and costs did not exceed estimates. The lights look very good and it was quality work. Overall I believe the prices were slightly higher than market, but not outlandish. Quality work and I will probably use them again in the future. The tech was helpful and provided me an additional quote for future work. He was on time and the work was completed on schedule.

Shauwn came out to the house to give my mother an estimate to rewire a workshop built by my grandfather that is attached to the garage which is attached to the house. He listened to what we wanted and made good suggestions along the way. When he opened up the electrical box it was clear that the wiring had been done haphazardly over the years, he suggested putting in a larger electrical box to house all the switches and leave us some open switches for expansion. Based on safety concerns we decided to go ahead and upgrade the electrical box. Shauwn knows what he is talking about and clearly is a master electrician. Jeremy and Tim were the electricians who came out to do the actual work both were great to work with, the job was slated to take two days but took about 1 1/2. The first day Tim ripped out the old wiring in the shop then put in the new wiring, outlets and lights. Jeremy dealt with the electrical box. When they departed after the first day's work Mom had electricity and was able to watch television. Day two Jeremy finished the electrical box, Tim put in the kiln outlet they then identified all of the switches. After the work was completed Charles came out to inspect the completed work. My Mom also wanted me to mention that the office staff were delightful to talk to as well. I would definitely use this company again the whole experience was wonderful, there wasn't any pressure the price was fair and the work was outstanding.

We appreciated many aspects of their good customer service. They sent out a tech the same day I reported the outage. The Angie's List member discount certainly helped. The tech, Charles, worked hard in and out of our very hot attic to figure out the problem, the detailed the plan to fix it and returned later with the materials to complete the work. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and communicated the issue and his progress well. We will recommend Absolute Electric and Charles to our friends and call the next time we have an electricity issue (crossing our fingers that our old house doesn't give us more problems).

We came home from work to find that the large, heavy light fixture on the top floor of our townhouse had fallen a couple of inches out of the ceiling, leaving the wires exposed. I wasn't sure if this was a fire hazard (because of the wires being exposed/stretched), so we looked on Angie's List for an electrician with 24-hour service and found Absolute Electric. I called and spoke with Robert, the technician on call, and asked if he would come out. He arrived shortly after, and fixed the light, which was kind of tricky: he had to set up an extension ladder for an uneven stairwell. Because the box (housing? I'm not sure of the right word) was cracked, he had to crawl into the attic to replace the box before reinstalling the light. Of course it is really hot today. He was completely professional, very calm, was not deterred by our evening call or the oddly configured stairwell. He completed the job in one hour, which surprised me, considering everything he had to do. He was very careful about our floors and walls (with the ladder), just a really nice young man. I would hire them again. And I'm happy to find a company with 24-hour service.

Used an AL deal to get the switch panel in my home replaced/updated to a 200amp unit. The tech came to my home a few days before to perform a material list. The day of, two electricians arrived at 7:30am to start the work and finished just before 5pm. The new box they installed is a Square D. After installing they went through the whole house to check each outlet and to label the panel. Solid workmanship and passed inspection without issue. Would hire again for a big job.

Very well. The company was very responsive when I called and described the problem and scheduled quickly. And they offered a better price than two other estimates. The installer was on time, polite, and did a very good job. Would hire them again.

When I first learned of the inspection issue, which came up only days before closing, I knew I needed a good electrical contractor who could perform the work ASAP. I had not needed to use an electrical contractor in Maryland before (I live in VA but the condo is in MD) so I immediately headed to Angie's List and found Absolute Electric, whose service area includes Montgomery County, MD. Darlene was extremely helpful when I called to find out rates and availability. I called back first thing the next day and schedule the appointment for the following day. Tim showed up on time and was extremely professional. He was first able to assist me with an issue related to the gas meter. After than, the main issue related to the gas line was a bit complicated. He consulted with another person at his company while I followed up with the inspector. The repair would have been extensive involving cutting through dry call to make the repair. With Tim's help, it was determined that the issue really wasn't a code violation after all since the condo was built to code specifications and this issue wasn't a violation at that time. Tim prepared for me a comprehensive bill and luckily, I only used one hour of time and incurred no materials costs. While a frustrating process of other reasons, Absolute Electric was wonderful to work with, extremely professional and reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again when the time arises.

It went great. He had to spend extra time cutting the jagged wood surrounding my old attic fan, install a light, and clean up afterward. I'm really glad I used these guys because I called them a week later for a bigger job and that went well too. I would refer them to a friend.

They have been excellent. They were late for about 10 minutes but they called me.

Highly recommended. Electrician showed up on time and was very professional. He worked very hard to do the job neatly and correctly with virtually no mess. Our kitchen is on the opposite side of the house from the breaker box and yet he managed to only put 2 holes in the ceiling all while being respectful of our house. The most conscientious contractor I've ever dealt with.
