Absolute Electric LLC was able to send help out to me the very day after I called. Mark came out, searched the whole house then found the only place we hadn't checked - inside the furnace closet. There's an outlet that isn't easily visible and he found it. He corrected everything and I couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: I had a circuit breaker that kept tripping. I searched all over the house and couldn't any electrical things that weren't working.

Zack did a GREAT job. We had just ordered a new set of living room furniture and realized the power recliners would actually need power to recline, which meant we needed to take care of some electrical tasks that had been on our To Do list for awhile. I left message with Absolute Electric LLC via Angie's List messaging. Mike got back to me immediately. I was very pleased when he said they could arrange to send an electrician the following Monday because I gave them very short notice. We have two large, sweet, but VERY loud dogs, so I asked that the electrician call well ahead of their arrival so we could crate the dogs or put them in the backyard, weather permitting. Mike promised the electrician would call 30 minutes ahead of time to confirm we were home and available. Zack called way ahead of his arrival and gave us his ETA according to his GPS. This enabled us to easily deal with the dogs. Zack arrived just when he said he would. He was very professional, very polite, very fast. I was extremely impressed with how reasonable the bill was for the work that got done. We are old, our house is old, everything in it is old, except for the dogs, who are deafening. In short, our house can be a challenging place for service crews to work, but Zack was very patient and went about his business like a seasoned professional. We really appreciated it. In a very short time, everything was fixed and he was on his way to his next call. We will definitely use Absolute Electric LLC again and would highly recommend them. Special thank you to Mike and Zack for their help.
Description of Work: The electrician (Zack) repaired two outlets - one which hadn't worked for awhile and another that was damaged accidentally by movers. Zack also repaired a dimmer switch that got the wrong end of a collision when we had a new refrigerator delivered.

This review reflects the work of employees Mark, Jon, and the owner, Shawun over the course of several visits to ultimately address all matters successfully. These guys are amazing electricians because they are not only technically quite sound, are able and willing to communicate their strategy for identifying the issues, and then are entirely fair in addressing the pricing to implement the approach. I bought a house two years ago that was burdened with poor electrical planning and implementation from the day that it was built in 2001. The house was built with sophisticated systems, implemented in complex ways, and entirely void of any informative labeling. That's where the guys at Absolute Electric have come in. I had a few electrical contractors assess the situation when I first bought the house, but none wanted to tackle the project. Absolute Electric came in - including in the most recent work - and thoughtfully troubleshot the work, identifying and labeling circuits along the way. While the work was being done, they identified serious deficiencies with an existing electrical cable. They repaired the problem. In the final analysis, Absolute Electric (and their owner Shawun) does great work at a fair price with extraordianrly

I submitted a negative review on 4/19/16 due to my e-mail form a couple weeks ago requesting a quote not getting a response from Absolute. They called me this morning saying they never received that original e-mail through Angie's List. Taking them on their word, there must be a technical problem with A.L. e-mail system. I'll retract my poor rating assuming there was a technical issue and I will try Absolute again if I need work.

I emailed them, I believe on the 10th for an estimate to install some ceiling fans, recessed lighting and electric run for a TV mounted on a fireplace. A lady contacted me early Monday morning and we scheduled a time for their estimator to come out and take a look on the 19th. Everything was great and I thought I chose a good company when they called to confirm on the 18th our appointment. The lady said they normally call half an hour prior to showing up and I requested an hour because I wouldn't be at the house. The appointment was scheduled between 1-3PM. On the 19th, I called the company around 2:30PM to ask where their estimator was. The guy put me on hold to look up my account (not sure why that ever needs to happen) which was fine. Then he came back on the line briefly just to say they were calling the estimator to find out where he was. I was put back on hold for about 2 seconds before the call disconnected. Basically he hung up. I know he hung up because he never called back. As stated earlier, they had my number because they've called me twice before. In today's day and age of instant reviews with sites like this, I find it absolutely moronic that someone will not only skip a scheduled appointment without calling with a reason but then hanging up on a potential customer when they call to find out where the estimator is.

We apologize for not making the arrival window. This occasionally happens in the service industry due to unforeseen circumstances. We did try calling several times to let you know that we were running late, but there was no answer and your voice mailbox was full. Absolute Electric says they did not replace my electrical cabinet. The reason I gave them a failing review was that a contractor I had in my home today pointed out how the box was not in code and would not pass inspection. However, Absolute DID leave their business sticker on the box which indicates they did some later work on this box -- and did not report that it was out of code or needed to have work done to bring it into code. On this date they did circuit overload work.
Description of Work: Absolute Electric says they did not replace my basement box. I gave them a poor review because THEIR business sticker was on the box. I will have to look further to find out the electrician who did install the new box.

I have used Absolute Electric three times. Each time I was very happy with their work, professionalism, and found their price very competitive. It was very easy working with their scheduler, who was very knowledgeable about their services. I also like the fact that they contact you after the service to ensure a high level of standard with their work. On 12/18/15, I had Absolute install a fixture in the foyer of my house. Because the light was on the second story, it was necessary for a helper to assist the electrician. Lucas and Zach were prompt and very personable. They installed the fixture in a little over and hour and cleaned up after the work. On 03/31/16, Mark was dispatched to our home to install three ceiling fans. Once again, Absolute sent over a very nice, knowledgeable and personable individual. Mark ran into a few issues while installing the fans, but he was very calm and worked through them. On 04/15/16, Bob installed a security light in the back of the house. Bob was very nice and easy to work with during the install. He was very patient with me when I asked him to reconfigure the lighting. Overall, this is a very qualified and professional company. I would hire them again.
Juan is very professional and finished job quick and clean.

I needed to have a ceiling fan replaced. I have used Absolute Electric before and was satisfied, so I called for an estimate. They offered to replace the fan for a flat fee of $150 over the phone. I was able to get an appointment quickly to have the work done. They arrived on time, replaced the fan, showed me how to work it, and they didn't leave any mess behind. They were very professional. I will use them again next time I need electrical work.

We were initially happy with installation of the fan in August 2013. The cost estimate was lower than some of the others, provider was rated well, and they were prompt and professional. A hole was left in the bathroom wall after installation, which the worker initially said would be our responsibility to take care of. We spoke with Sean Collins, the owner, and he was easily persuaded to have a separate contractor come back to patch the dry wall and paint it. This was done and we were happy with the result. Fast forward to early 2016, we had been noticing cracks appearing on the bathroom ceiling that appeared to be originating from the ceiling fan and extending outward. We paid $79 for the company to come back to look in the attic and see if the cracks were caused by improper installation. The worker went in the attic and said everything looked normal and perhaps the cracks were just from the fan settling in or someone stepping on the ceiling (though my husband has never walked above the fan in the attic). We had no way to assess whether this was accurate. Subsequently, in March 2016, we did an energy audit in our home. The energy auditor (Energy Efficience, also an A-rated Angie's list contractor) commented that in her work, which involves seeing lots of peoples' attics, she had never seen a bathroom fan venting in the way that ours was, and that it had not been properly insulated, so that condensation, especially in the winter months, would be remaining instead of exiting outside. She made this recommendation to us without us ever having pointed out any issue with the fan or the cracks in the bathroom. It is a pretty easy fix that will cost $140, but it seems that this would not have been necessary, had Absolute ventilated and insulated in the proper way initially. We are also disappointed that the company failed to identify the problem when they returned for the assessment and that we wasted the $79 on that.
Description of Work: In August 2013, provider installed a bathroom fan. In early 2016, provider returned at our request to assess cracks in ceiling that we believe were caused by improper insulation of venting through roof which resulted in condensation.

20147 Three days before Easter my wall ovens blew the breaker when I tried to turn them on . Needed help now. Called Service in the PM and they arrived by 7:30 in AM as stated. Breaker needed to be replaced and had to be obtained at office. Stopped the clock for charges. Returned promptly and fixed breaker. Found that the oven wires were rubbing against a bolt and were not properly insulated. Rewired the ovens. Perfect.

Rob was an absolute pleasure to work with. He walked in with his screwdriver out and in under an hour had fixed my two issues. In addition, I asked him to do an impromptu walkthrough of my home to assess some suspicions I had regarding wiring. He uncovered a number of serious safety issues, made recommendations, wrote them up, and thoroughly explained each line item. It's highly likely that we'll have him back to fix the issues.

I called and left a message on Thursday morning. Got a call back about 15 min later asking if I would like the work done that day. An electrician arrived 45 minutes later. He used boot covers. He was able to advise me on the location of the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and was familiar with the building code requirements and the recommendations from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). I had done all of the same research myself, so I knew he was absolutely correct in his knowledge. He answered all of my questions, then proceeded to work very quietly and efficiently. The job required new wiring to the four upstairs bedrooms including our master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. The work was complete after 5 hours, which I consider appropriate for the job. He went through the list of materials used and explained how he did the wiring. I provided all of the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, so the cost of materials was minimal ($94.20). After my 10% Angie's List discount (on labor, not materials), I was charged $117 per hour for 5 hrs ($585 total). The final cost of $678.20 was very fair, in my opinion.

He quickly identified the problem was with the power company. He also inspected our electrical boxes and recommended some improvements, but was not trying to sell us anything. We had another company (4 Service Pros) out earlier in the week for the same problem. The person they sent did not know what the problem was so he "guessed" that we needed a new breaker box. Obviously just trying to sell us something that was expensive and unnecessary.Thank you Absolute for being honest.

Tim was awesome. He was on time. He was so helpful and courteous. My husband had figured out the issue for the initial problem we called Absolute Electric for. But it was too late to cancel. So we had them come and do some other work we'd been putting off. He did a great job installing some new outlets and an electrical box for the light over the kitchen island. We even had him come back out and replace all of our fire/carbon monoxide alarms. We would definitely use Absolute Electric again!

It was a great experience. When I first contacted them we spoke over the phone to explain what I needed done. Originally I wanted to replace our broken undercabinet lights and dimmer switch however it was explained in a very understandable way that our original undercabinet lights were improperly installed and against code. They were wired using a small appliance circuit rather then a lighting circuit. In order to fix this issue it would require breaking drywall and possible a lot of time and money. We are in the process of selling our house and just had the walls painted and really didn't want to do that. He then suggested they could reverse the improper installation and remove the lights and any wires. That is what we decided to do. I set up the appointment for the next day and told they call before hand to let you know they are on the way. I got a call from Lucas the next day letting me know he would be there in 20 mins and he arrived right on time. He got to work right a way and in less then an hour everything was fixed and back up to code. He was very friendly and explained exactly what he did and why. I felt it was quality work done at a reasonable price. My over all experience was wonderful and would definitely use them again.

Two techs arrived within time frame. They were polite and seemed to know what they were doing. And the fans were installed correctly. I was told a price of $300 for the two fans being installed. Then they showed the fans they brought and said they were appropriate for the bathrooms. I questioned the fans since they had a louder noise rating then I wanted. I foolishly went along with the installation because I needed them installed before reinsulating the attic in the same week. Then after the fans are in and the bill was presented, the tech said he had the wrong price and showed me his book list which turned out $100 more. Later researching the fans I realized they were cheap fans and no way it should have cost that much. Update.. I have since been contacted by the company and they will honor the first stated price of the installation. They were trying a new system of providing quotes/service and the confusion was settled and they have worked out their kinks. I want to say that all the people I have talked with from making the appointment to the techs and customer service have all been nice and professional.

Mark Bailey is BRILLIANT and Absolute Electric is absolutely the best! I called this morning at 7am and got a representative (Darlene I believe) - not an answering service - who quoted me the cost of the work immediately while I was on the phone. I told her I needed it done today and she fit me in! I was given a two-hour window and a heads up call when Mark Bailey was on his way and he was there right when he said he would be. As if that were not enough to impress me, Mark walked in, took one look at the problem, and IMMEDIATELY diagnosed the issue and told me the best way to resolve it. I was so grateful he came up with the solution that he did. Thanks to Mark's integrity and incredible competence, he had the problem fixed in no time. I was even able to make it back to my afternoon work meeting. There are very few companies as responsive as Absolute Electric and even fewer people like Mark Bailey who, within seconds of meeting you, give you the confidence that everything will go smoothly. , I remain incredibly grateful to both Mark Bailey and Absolute Electric for the outstanding service I received today. The next time I need any electrical work done, I will be calling Absolute Electric and requesting Mark Bailey specifically!!
